I went here with 4 others and have never been more disappointed by a restaurant. We ordered two apps to start, the potstickers (6 small pieces for $21) and the chicken satay (4 small skewers for $21). The apps came shortly after our drinks arrived but we weren’t given any silverware or plates. Our server brought us silverware after we asked but said she was trying to find us plates still. We ended up eating all the apps before we were ever given small plates because we were tired of waiting. Next came out the entrees, or at least one of them. The shrimp tacos (a “main” for $25 came with three tiny tacos) arrived at the table but no one else was given their food for another 6 minutes. Once the rest of the food did arrive, the only hot item was the fries. The chips that came with the french dip were soggy and bendable. I tuna and salmon on the sushi & salad was inedible. The burgers were meh with not much topping on it for $26. This was a terrible experience for myself and everyone else in my group, none of us will be returning.

It's a NO for me! Where do I start... First, don't be fooled by the prices and think you'll get something amazing, lower your standard way way below average!! I don't know if it was an off night or what but we had an issue with almost everything we ordered. We tried the meatballs on mashed potatoes, the poke bowl, margarita flight and house fries. The meatballs came out cold and the manager ended up taking them off the bill. The poke bowl was one of the biggest disappointments I've had in a while, trust me I know a good poke bowl when I see it. The fries were okay and way overpriced. LASTLY, the margaritas weren't frozen anymore when we got them which means they sat at the bar for too long, and the cherry on top was finding a freaking fly in one of them, a whole fat FLY, just chilling there either passed out drunk or dead, I couldn't finish the other ones after seeing it.

I decided to try Kuna Grill Baltimore restaurant for dinner this evening, since they was located conveniently on Pratt Street near the convention center. Upon entering I could tell they were very busy, as I went ahead and sat myself I'm the bar area. After 3-5 minutes, I finally had a waiter ask me if I wanted to order something.
So I quickly placed my order and decided to try the Kona Stir-fry. My order came out in approximately 5 minutes, and it was a pretty good size portion. My waiter brought my food but didn't bring me any silverware.
So I waited a few minutes before they brought me some plasticware, and informed me that they were in the process of washing dishes.
I thought that it was a bit overpriced considering it had more white rice than chicken and vegetables. It was seasoned very well and I would recommend this menu item.
Up to this point I was probably going to give them a 3 star rating based on customer service alone. But then right before I was paying my bill, one of the mangers asked me if everything was okay...so I shared my thoughts. The manger apologized for their poor customer service and honored my military discount.
I'm not sure if I would return for another visit, but because the manager's actions...I decided to rate this location with a 4 star.

We came in with high hopes based on the prior reviews and the website and menu. Unfortunately, we were quickly disappointed. The service was lack luster at first with our waitress not being very attentive. She made a few mistakes with our meal such as forgetting our appetizer, not coming to check on us after delivering our food, and not ensuring the food was correct and of good quality. I ordered their yellowfin tuna steak, a seasonal special. It was completely overcooked and unedible. Basically tough canned tuna. I sent it back and decided not to reorder. They kindly gave me a new meal on the house to show how the meal should have been cooked. I got it to go. It looks much better and after trying it, it tasted much better. Their manager and assistant manager handled the situation very well and I appreciate their kindness and great customer service. Their assistant manager really shined through and saved the meal with his jokes and sparkling personality. I wish things could have been better but I appreciate the staff for working so hard.

I had a wonderful experience at Kona Grill! Ronnie, our bartender, was fantastic and provided excellent recommendations. The drinks were outstanding! I chose the New York strip brunch, and it was absolutely amazing. Khalil delivered our food with a smile, even after my wife requested several sauces. The manager, Dan, also stopped by to check on us; he was extremely welcoming and asked where we were from. If you're in Baltimore, I highly recommend Kona Grill for its extraordinary hospitality and delicious food!

Went for happy hour and all the appetizers and drinks were delicious! Main dining room was chilly so our server Sheree moved us to the patio area which has heaters and was nice and cozy. Great dining experience to celebrate my husband’s birthday and before our show at the Hippodrome!

I love going to the Kona Grill. I have been there four times now and I am definitely going back again. I took my cousin for the first time and she enjoyed the experience as well. My waiter was Donte and he was very patient with us and listened to everything we said and asked for. Delvin is the manager there and he definitely needs a raise. He brought on the best energy with his funny jokes and positive energy that he shares with everyone that comes in. Delvin was very professional and someone that I will never forget in life because he took the time to check on us not once but several times. He engaged with us the entire time. I hope the best for Delvin and him soaring with the company. I will definitely be bringing other people there too as well to have all of these experiences with me. I definitely go for happy hour especially for the shrimp tacos
They are spicy but they are my favorite. And the food comes out sooo quickly. Pretty much as soon as you put the order then boom it's at your table. The Kona Grill is the best for sure..if you haven't been there then you need to go..

My office planned a 20+ prepaid set menu Christmas Luncheon with Kona grill. The email and planning of the event was only communicated via email and seemed at the time seamless. We booked, we picked the menu and WE PAID, gratuity included. We then came in the day before to verify our reservation and scope out where we may request being seated and alert them to us bringing our own decorations. We spoke with the hostess and she confirmed we had a reservation for tomorrow. We were then told we’d be in the main dining room which was honestly dated and stuffy. I saw the porch area and asked if we could be out there. We were told the porch is for prepaid parties only. We were very confused and stated we are a prepaid party. Especially since we were told that reservations for 20+ can only be prepaid and set menus (that is an important point). She was very nice and said she’d note our request. Party Day! We showed up 30 min early to pull decorations in and set the tables. When we arrived to no space set up and no space even properly cleaned. They began to move the tables together and had to pull the mop back out because the amount of dirt underneath the tables was painfully obvious. We stood by for 15 min while they mopped the floor with dirty water which left the floor sticky and were still kicking hairballs out of our way even after the “mopping”. Once we sat and guest began to arrive the waitress (who was great) came to take drink orders. She then asked if we needed menus. Why would she ask this if any party over 20 is set menus! (side note- other people were seated on the porch with not prepaid reservations near us which is opposite of what we were told). We very quickly stated the party was preset menu and pre paid. She looked very confused and spoke to who we thought was a manager. The manager then, 15 min later, came to pull myself and coworker from our party table to ask if we had any paper work on this event. We pulled up emails and receipts showing the details. This is while the whole party is looking at us with confusion knowing something has gone wrong. She then left my co worker and I sitting in the bar area waiting for her, for another 15 min, to find the paper work. This is now 30 min into our reservation and guests sitting at the tables awaiting the appetizers which were not coming out. When the manager finally returned she advised she found our packet and would get to work. We realized they had not communicated our reservations to the staff and they were not prepared for this event. The food began to come out, FINALLY, and it was clear the $45pp price was a rip off. The appatizers were good after they were served the staff was busy bringing out the main food so we had to clear our own table and passed dishes to one end to be taken away. We were served Ribs with Asian slaw. The Asian slaw "side dish" was not accessible as they plated the ribs (family style) on top of the slaw and utilized it as a garnish. The shrimp pasta had about 6 shrimp per bowl which was dismal and everyone was rationing the shrimp, the chicken sandwiches were not sandwiches but rather breaded chicken breast cut into strips on top of fries and no rolls were even provided to make into a sandwiches, their “seasonal vegetables” was just broccoli and the Mack and cheese was just unseasoned. Nothing about the meal was upscale restaurant quality and I’m sure I could have gone to a Golden Corral and gotten the same food and more of my monies worth. I’m saddened my office party was such an unorganized event. I’m mad the money we paid for an upscale sit down, Christmas party, event only made us a laughing stock. My first red flag should have been the dirty fish tanks walking in. Very disappointed in Kona Grill.

My girl and I went there 12/14 at 2:30 for a coffee drink and a snack before eating in Fells Point. I ordered a Bacardi and diet coke and an Irish coffee. The bartender came back with an almost empty Bacardi bottle and told me they were out. I ordered an Ultra lite draft which be brought. He than came back and told us that he didn't have all the ingredients for an Irish coffee. He said that he could make a Nutty Irishman which my girl agreed to. We ordered sliders and after 10 minutes saw sliders sitting under the heat lamp. I was going to go get them but a server picked them up and brought them to a table. She was told that they weren't for the table and brought them to the bar. We ate the tepid food and I asked for a bill. $21 for the sliders OK $8 for an Ultra draft OK$15 for Jameson RX and $13 for Bailey's. 5 minutes later the bartender came over and I asked if her drink was $28 plus 3 in liquor tax and was told yes. I zeroed out the tip in front of him and we shall never return.

After arriving to the restaurant tired and hungry with our family, just looking for a place to eat, we were yelled at by the hostess for not making a reservation in advance. After learning reservations were the only way to receive service, we stepped outside to make one online. The reservation was set for 15 minutes after our arrival time, and after checking in with the same hostess, we were berated, because in her words: “Oh no, it don’t work that way”. You would assume the prices on the menu would match the service, but it appears not only is the service lacking, but the gramatical education level of the employees is also quite alarming. Aside from the attitude and sarcasm, we were sent away by both a male manager and this hostess, for once again letting us know: “It don’t work that way”. I would hope in this economy, companies and businesses would try their best to keep customers coming back, especially around the holidays. Being denied service and food, and both with an attitude in front of our children shows how astonishingly ignorant and naive this team is. I hope others visiting with their families know to steer clear of this place. So disappointing.

As soon as I sat down a homeless dude sat next to me at the bar and spit in my eye when asking for money. Wasn't intentional but the bartender said they have no bouncers except for weekends. Food was good, but they are charging too much for too little. OK in a pinch, not a dedicated sushi place.

Unfortunately I have had the fate of accompanying my family to the unpleasantry of this restaurant. I am not writing this to bash the character of the devoted and committed workers of this establishment but I will say that things are not up to standard of the price point via the menu items. I came with the impression of fine confectionery’s and the ambiance of higher class but no I have been betrayed. I had the KG Cheese burger and calamari, putrid. The mushrooms weren’t fresh, they were slimy and mushy. The bun was soggy, and the patty was bland. The calamari was the same deal, soggy, greasy, and just a mess. Please reconsider going to the establishment if you are looking for a satisfactory meal and welcoming service, if you aren’t be their guest and not mine, thank you.

Smelled like weed when we walked in. Sushi was real fishy. I know it’s fish but it was bad!! Found a fly my sake :(. Played an electronic game on the table and learned at end they charge 3.00 a game. No notice the games are charged to the table. What a tourist trap. One of the worst dinning experiences of my life. No paper towels in men’s room. Staff walking around with pants hanging down. The staff was nice but they didn’t seem like they wanted us there. Large fish tanks look like they have not been cleaned in a while. Overpriced and disappointing. My wife has not stop fuzzing at me for choosing this place. Oh and security wearing a bullet proof vest made us safe.

Kona Grill is a fantastic late-night spot right across from Baltimore’s Inner Harbor! They have a great selection of dishes, perfect for satisfying those late-night cravings. The sushi and flatbreads were delicious, and there’s something on the menu for everyone. The vibe is lively, and the location couldn’t be more convenient for a night out around the Harbor. Service was friendly, although it can get busy, so there may be a bit of a wait. Overall, a solid choice for good food and atmosphere late into the night.

Was looking forward to dining here after the Transformer convention. The hostess wasn't friendly, just took us to our seats with no words. It was only one other couple there. The table was filthy. Found the manager and he immediately wiped the tables down. However, there were 2 young ladies sitting down on their phones doing absolutely nothing. I went to the bathroom. I used the last of the toilet paper. I informed the 2 young ladies there was no paper towels and both just gave me a blank expression. Never getting up to take care of the problem. We had already ordered our food. Otherwise, we we would've left. It appeared the night crew didn't clean up the night before. The manager was nice but perhaps not properly trained. He was sitting at the bar on his phone as we were leaving. There's always something to do while WORKING in a restaurant! Cleaning should be top priority! Kona is at a prize location which gives the impression you will recieve prized experience. We did not.

Meh. I think this place only survives due to new customers, because I'm not sure how they could have repeat customers. We went on a Saturday after lunchtime. Service was slow. Food was mediocre. Pricing was outrageous for the amount and quality. All in all, it was pretty disappointing. We ate dinner at a bar and grill outside of Bmore for dinner and that was 10 times a better experience. Clearly the management here needs to step it up or step out.

The host didn’t want to be bothered seating me (I guess cleaning the menus was enough to keep her busy) and offered that I seat myself at the bar. The bar was full from what I could see but she said I could go on the other side of the bar. I did just that only to be ignored by the bar staff. Hospitality is dead! I wouldn’t bother trying again. If you don’t care enough to at least greet your customers, why would anyone want to go there? Very disappointing!

This was really the only place open, or I would not have chosen it. Food was ok, very pricey for what was served. 25.00 for a small salad with chicken. Service was fine, but make sure you type in your tip. It calculated 18% on 25.00 as 8.00. I noticed the server put in 2 salads and comped 1, which may have been the issue. Either way it was SHADY. I decided to try Kuna Grill Baltimore restaurant for dinner this evening, since they was located conveniently on Pratt Street near the convention center. Upon entering I could tell they were very busy, as I went ahead and sat myself I'm the bar area. After 3-5 minutes, I finally had a waiter ask me if I wanted to order something.

I think I’ve only ever gone out of my way to leave like one or two google reviews ever. This place is NASTY. Servers were very friendly and absolutely not the problem. I don’t even know how to convey how poor this restaurant is. The smell when you walk in is a red flag enough. If you tragically ignore the smell like we did, you will hopefully not order the pot stickers like we also did. Those $20 pot stickers were quickly pulled from a freezer, half microwaved and brought to the table. They sneakily disguised dog food as Pad Thai. Maybe they ran out of beef and raided a high school cafeteria to borrow their mystery meat to make their Steakhouse Burger? We even joked as a group that they used a 3D printer to make the Macadamia crusted chicken that my friend got, it was THAT bad.
Any time you go to a restaurant, you risk getting food you don’t think it very good. I understand that. But what makes it harder to let such a bad meal roll of the back is the unbelievable bill you’ll get at the end of the meal. You’ll walk away with a hole in your wallet and a rumbling in your stomach sure to last you the rest of the night!

Front desk was busy on the phone and could not give us a seat. They didnt take our order until we have to call them to take our order. We ordered their calamari appetizer and the squid rings were small in portion, overcooked, and tough.

Went to Kona for a happy hour social this evening. Food was pretty good drinks was excellent asked for the female bartender Ronnie I recommend trying the raspberry Mojito and old-fashioned. The staff at the restaurant that I interacted with was awesome Definitely will be going back.

I met a gentleman named Trey in marketing that offered me a buy one get one free HH. I was highly impressed with the menu and the food was amazing. The sunrise roll is by far my fav!! I’m probably biased in this review because that roll may be why i fell in love with the place. The service was also amazing. Ronnie and Delvin were a complete joy. They made dining an experience as opposed to a meal!! Will be back again

The food and drinks were good here, but the service was terrible!! We waited forever to get a glass of wine, had food delivered without any utensils and had to ask for basic things like napkins. It definitely ruined the experience.

We had such an amazing time! Ronnie was so sweet and helped me find something I would actually enjoy for my bday brunch. And then also suprised me with birthday cake! The pancake foster was not the best, but then Ronnie suggested their sliders instead and it was great! Definitely will come back for the bottomless mimosas and hopefully Ronnie again :)

Came to this restaurant late night line was long to get a table after waiting decided to do takeout ordered a cheeseburger told them I wanted it well done because most under cook well I paid for food got back to hotel thinking it would be close to being cooked correctly well it was not close it was rare not even medium rare when a restaurant is busy they still have to cook the food correct only bright spot was hostess she was cool and handled a very busy situation with a great attitude

I visited Kona Grill on 9/22/2024 after a convention. The host was attentive but not hugely welcoming. I felt like there was a vibe of "are you sure you want to eat here?" . I assumed it might have been because I had smaller children and it may have been a fine dining restaurant . I was also very surprised virtually no one was in the restaurant on a game day with a huge convention in town.
After being sat we noticed a sour odor. It was bad enough for my four year old to complain "Mommy this table is stinky". I decided to stay because I've been wanting to try this place for a long time as my family loves sushi.
It took our server quite a while to come over but he was friendly and very polite. After taking our drink order we waited an unusual amount of time for him to return. My children received their beverages and only one person in my party received water for some reason. I could see visible tension between employees at the bar and was told after way too long the drink I ordered wasn't available. I was not offered an alternative even though there was a similar drink on the menu. I wasn't given another drink menu until I requested it and this is after we received our appetizers.
Our food was good and my children loved their bento boxes . Everything was ok during mealtime but I did notice employees seemed to be hanging around inappropriately in view of customers.
The reason why I decided to give such a low rating is what happened while we were paying our bill. I noticed I'd been charged for the drink I never received. I bought this to the attention of my server and he asked a manger to edit the bill. Upon reviewing my bill I noticed both drinks were removed. I assumed the one I consumed had been comped as an apology for the service hiccups. I thought great and proceeded to pay I was confused when my card didn't work on the tabletop reader but I tried again only to find out my bill had increased on the reader due to having the original drink added back on. I looked up to see a group of mangers looking over at my party with a strange look. Who does that removes something from a bill and puts it back while the customer is paying?? I don't believe Kona Grill considers itself to be fine dining but the price point warrants better service than this!
I am sorry I had to adjust my servers tip to reflect this experience. I would have gladly left $40-50 n a $200 dollar bill but I had to leave a smaller token because I felt I had no other recourse.
Kona Grill there is a reason why you are not full in a prime location. It looks like employees have horrible rapport with management. Fix it because they set the tone for the entire establishment.

Firstly, this place has sanitation issues…there was a strange smell throughout the entire restaurant. At first I thought it may just be the smell of fresh seafood. But that couldn’t have been the case because the food didn’t taste fresh at all. That brings me to my second big issue: the food.
I ordered the poke bowl and they must have dumped half a bottle of soy sauce on it. It was incredibly overpowering and I had to send it back.
Finally, the server seemed completely checked out and didn’t even offer an apology when I voiced my dissatisfaction with the meal.
I will NOT be returning here.

The only reason to come here is cheap happy hour drinks. Everything else was nasty. This feels like a bankrupt corporate chain restaurant on it’s last legs.
Atmosphere: The moment we walked into the dining area there was a musty smell that smelt like dirty socks. We sat at a booth where the light fixture was caked in dust. The carpet underneath the booth was covered with crumbs.
Service: Our server was clearly high and handed us waters with dirty straws. The straw tips were sticky like syrup. Did they give us used straws?!?!
Food: I ordered the macadamia chicken. The chicken is clearly frozen and reheated. It was frozen tv dinner quality . Honestly, just get a pack of frozen Tyson chicken cutlets and save yourself 25 bucks. Just a complete salt bomb. My fiancé had to send her entre back because the amount of salt made it inedible

Konami grill was exactly what I expected. Nothing objectionable, but nothing inspired as well. Being directly at the inner harbor it caters to the masses. The food is good, but not great. The service is efficient, but not exceptional. I enjoyed my sushi which I was craving, but the experience was.... meh. By all means go. Just do not expect greatness.
