This place used to be so good
Wth happened. Went there tonight and the place was dead. Food was cold. Noodles were mushy and rice was hard. The flavor wasn't there. Even the desserts didn't taste right. Went to pay and 3 adults was over $60. Not worth it. Not going back.

The buffet bars are chaotic, they should organize all the sea food on one bar, all the chicken dishes on one bar and all yhe beef and pork on one bar. Takes to long to find everything and your food is cold by the time you get back to your table.

Steamed rice was dried out, from being poorly coverd in plastic wrap, instead of a steamer pot. They should have the noodles, soups, spring and egg rolls in the same area.

I asked for chop sticks when I came in, I never got any, I went to the front and asked again, the man told me to go to the back of the restaurant and get them from the sushi bar.

It's the most expensive Chinese buffet in Wichita. It's average food and average service. It was over $50.00 for two people to have the buffet.

Now I rember why 10 years ago, I never came back.

Went here with my girlfriend for a nice little date and the food was unappealing and some smelled. I got some crawfish not expecting much and when I cracked it open was met with the smell of fish gone bad. Most of the food was cold despite being in a "hot" spot. Little to no service, waited about 20 minutes to get our food grilled. The food for the grill was all sitting in water or was dry and shriveled up. The sushi looked like it had been left alone for days. The poor fish in the pond at the front had no where to hide except a small rock and they had one big carp looking fish that was on the bottom yet it's dorsal fins were out of the water. No other life in the pond such as algae or even any food source in sight. I'm sure it used to be good but I think it's past it's time and definitely needs a health inspection.

Honestly this place has turned into a bad place. We use to go here with my family a lot after church and the food was incredible (this was about two years ago). I recently went there with my fiancé to eat since we were in town but the whole place looked kinda dead, the food not to mention! there were some good options of food to pick out but it wasn’t hot mostly at room temperature or cold. we only ate two plates and a plate of fruit

What set me off was when it was paying time, this lady came up to us, the same lady that was our bring our drinks and took out plates. She gave us the receipt and it was a pretty decent amount. But we were going to get up to pay at the front and she stopped us saying that we could pay here at the table. It kind of threw me off because she’s handling money with her hands and touching drinks of other people!! We were so confused but agreed to pay either way. My fiancé got the cash ready in advance and just handed it to her, she then proceeded to point at something in the receipt and kept repeating “tip, tip”. I looked down at the receipt and she was asking for a tip???? I asked her why do you want a tip? she was pretty persistent on getting a tip saying “for me, for me, a tip” honestly it was pretty overwhelming for us to be forced to give a tip out. Shouldn’t that be optional!!! from what i remember, one would leave a tip if they wanted to not because the waiter was demanding one!!! she didn’t let us leave until a tip was given. Last time i come here!!

We went on a sunday afternoon. Good food, some could be fresher. Top notch service staff. Definitely needs a little more lighting and upkeep for broken soap dispensers, decorative fountain, chipping paint etc. Otherwise not a bad buffet.

He is rude and bangs his jar for tips making you feel responsible to leave something instead of just doing his job that he's paid for and letting the people decide on how good of a job he did. I was finally able to visit and I want to start off with the positives. The atmosphere is great and our server was very accommodating. The selection of food is awesome there is a lot to chose from and the dessert section has a wide variety of options. I went around 7:30 PM on a Friday night and it was pretty dead.. Not to many people dining in, which at a buffet I look at to be a double edge sword. Now that being said I was truly disappointed and let down because A LOT of the food I tried was room temperature at best and on my first plate I tried the chicken skewer.. It was literally COLD! After that I spent a lot of time putting bits and pieces of food on my plate and checking if it was hot before I served myself a larger portion. I found that if you picked from the bottom of the trays you will actually get heated food. Now the food that I was able to find warm enough to eat was actually really good. The Lo Mein, General Tso, chicken broccoli, and the black pepper chicken were amazing.. The other items I’m sure would’ve been great if it were warmer than room temperature. If you’re thinking about going I would suggest maybe going at a busier time where food is getting rotated more often or just double checking if the items you’re choosing are actually hot lol.. Wish I can say that I’m sure that I’ll be returning but I was really disappointed about the cold food. Place has a lot of potential though.

Maybe if you catch them on a good day, the bathrooms were dirty, nasty feces everywhere like diarrhea type nasty could not flush toilets just one, after that everything just seemed nasty 🤔 all around bad although they were nice. Ridiculous prices for such dirtiness.

This is a nice Asian buffet with a lot of options. It’s a buffet. It’s not anything gourmet but my kids absolutely love it and I do too. We can each get something we like and it’s just a fun experience for the littles. My son loved the Mongolian grill. My daughter is starting to like sushi so it’s nice they have the sushi bar. She can experiment with what she likes and it doesn’t break the bank. The staff are very nice. We just went and the total cost for three of us for dinner was $45.

So this is quite a complicated one. This place has a lot of unrealized potential. Just a few changes and this could be one of the best Chinese restaurants in Wichita. As it stands however it's not great.

The decor is very dated and there are a couple of blatant health and safety violations. With a little effort and a few buckets of paint this could easily be rectified. Paint the boat, re-cover some chairs. Install led lights to brighten up the place a bit, right now it's a dark dingy hole.

The entryway will immediately discourage you from entering, it is worn and uninviting. For the love of God please clean/paint the doors. (Image attached)

The food is mixed, the stuff that has been made on the day is really good, the sauces are flavorful and the quality is great. HOWEVER the dishes are made in massive quantities and the amount of patrons doesn't support this so food is sitting for days uneaten, and this is evident in the chewy, lukewarm chicken and the vast warmish trays of salad. Solution? Prepare a third as much at a time. It'll be fresher safer and tastier.

Prices are slightly below other local buffets but only a little and not enough to offset the lower quality.

We visited a couple of times as I felt we just got there at a bad time but it seems it's not that. We will be back in the future to see if anything has changed and I hope it does as this restaurant truly has potential, right now this is probably not worth the visit.

We went 2 hours before closing. When we arrived, most of the items had empty bins and the others looked like they had been sitting for at least 45 to an hour. My family and I grabbed small plates of somewhat edible looking food and tried waiting for better stuff to come out. My wife and daughter nibbled on what they grabbed, thought it was gross and stopped eating. The only time they brought out extra food was when I went and asked for them to be refilled. I myself continued to eat since I asked them to bring items out. What they brought out was good, but I shouldn’t have to ask for it at a buffet.
Now for the service part, I told them when they went to get our ticket that my wife and daughter did not like it and did not eat so I didn’t want to pay for them. The waitress brought back a ticket with everyone still being charged. I took it to the front and again explained that my wife and daughter did not eat so I didn’t want to pay for them. The man at the front would not compensate because he didn’t have authority to do so and the owners were not there. The waitress even confirmed to him that they didn’t eat. He said the best he could do was charge my wife for a childs meal.. It was still over $60 for basically only me to eat. We left and i paid for my wife and daughter to eat elsewhere. They overcharged for terrible food and wont be coming back. Sucks because we used to frequent this place.

This place is truly outdated. Almost everything they had on the hot bars was cold, dry, and stale. The saddest part was a lot of the food that was out on the bar. Even though it was in a supposed to be hot area, most of the food wasn't cooked all the way through. I tried the baby clams, and they were cold. The oysters were not even cooked all the way through, and they were covered with a cheese that was rancid. I spent over $65 for all of us to eat and we had to stop on the way home and get something because none of us could eat the food that was there except for the desert I take that back. And the lady that was at the register had the worst attitude I've ever seen out of anybody. She didn't want to accept that her food was beyond subpar. The waiter didn't know how to say thank you or you're welcome. When you asked him for something, he had an attitude like you were putting him out. Then one of the other ladies who was a server there came up to the register and was like there was no money left on the table for a tip, to where I said why is that your business? If I leave a tip, it is my choice, not yours. The bathroom reached so bad I had to light a match just to go to the bathroom and how much you'll be able to stomach the smell. You couldn't even wash your hands because the water stunk. So, thankfully, they had hand sanitizers at the front of the restaurant. Thankfully, we were able to use that without being charged. I was taking pictures of the food and the lady that's at the front of the house was yelling through the restaurant at our waiter that I was taking pictures of the food basically he needed to come and see what was going on and he never did, to the table that is they just kept peeking over walls to see what I was doing. I went to this place when I first moved back to town several years ago, and it was amazing. It is truly gone downhill, and the Health Department really needs to visit. The funny part was when I got my fortune cookie and I opened it there was no fortune in it, LOL

We come here pretty often and today was by far the worst experience we’ve ever had at a buffet. The food is always decent- but today we ran into a bigger issue than the food. While eating my 2nd plate the server came to our table and put the check down, not leaving until we gave her the money. She then proceeded to stand there and stare into my boyfriend’s wallet and point at the tip options, demanding more money. A tip has never been demanded by neither me or my boyfriend anywhere we have gone especially before we were even done eating. Probably won’t return.

I wish I could post no stars, took my 16 year old for dinner 6pm on a sunday night, all the food was either cold, burnt, dry, or just flat out inedible and visually unappealing, we sat down ate half a plate each both looked at each other and said we need to leave this is awful. When asked while paying how our visit was i told the truth about the food and was talking to the manager, and he looked me and said "ok" i just said thank you, you wont see us again. not the only person to complain either person in front of me clearly said something too didn't hear all of it but they were even more upset than me. When customers are genuinely upset if you want them back, there aren't an endless amount of willing patrons, you need to make some sort of effort to win them back, even a simple apology for dissatisfaction, hard earned money is hard to justify spent somewhere but it's easy to not go back.

I’ve eaten at multiple Chinese buffets all my life. From NC, to Hawaii to Washington. This by far was the most unsavory experience. I got in and expected at least a half-hearted greeting. But was met with silence. I felt somewhat unwanted but shrugged it off. As long as the food was good - right? I filled my plate with noodles and kebabs. When I say the food was burnt and cold - I say the food was burnt and cold. I immediately opened up the reviews because I have never had cold buffet food before. Somewhat desperately, I plucked up a few more meals. And they were just as tasteless. Gobsmacked I immediately paid and left. Please don’t eat here. I don’t really care about customer service - but the food should at least be warm.

Unfortunately this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had all of the food was cold they started taking down the buffet by 8:30 when they didn't close till 9:00 and in the native tone whatever that was they started screaming and cussing at each other I also had water through on me which I did not appreciate they were mopping floors before they had food put away and with the floors being wet I almost fell not being able to walk very well.

My husband had suggested we go here and I had remembered a few years ago they had been good, but OH MY GOD it was baaaaad. We went at around 7pm and absolutely everything was old, luke warm, too salty, tasted "off". I could not finish a single item that I served myself. I spat out over half of what I thought might be salvageable because of how unbelievably greasy and salty it was. I felt my stomach get jumpy, so I stopped. They have no problem serving this borderline dangerous low quality food and give you a $40+ bill for 2 people. We were baffled, and had hardly touched our plates, so we asked to have a refund or comp since we absolutely could not eat any of it without getting sick. They gave half off. I read another comment after this experience that said another costumer had a similar experience and said they would pay only if the owner ate a plate of their own food... After this experience, I ABSOLUTELY understand. (they got compted as well) I do not think they would ever eat their own food...

Was in town and craving a good china buffet so thought we'd give this place a try since the pictures looked good online. MISTAKE! Even though it was prime dinner time the food was scarce and looked picked-over. The"sushi" looked good but was weirdly slimy. Literally EVERYTHING ELSE WE TRIED WAS COLD. I don't mean "slightly warm" I mean COLD. Made several attempts to find something warmer than room temperature and was so disgusted that we walked out without eating. Manager tried to chase us out after I'd already explained to the waitress how the food was incredible, as was evidenced by our nearly untouched plates. I told the manager that if she would eat a plate of her own food then we'd pay for our meal. She looked horrified at the idea and quickly snatched the check back saying no that's ok..... Thought that would be the end of it but made it a block before my husband had to pull over so I could puke. I'm literally leaving this review from the Walgreens parking lot hoping my nausea will go away and that I didn't just give myself food poisoning from the few bites I managed to swallow. -50stars

If you are going to a buffet and expect everything to be perfect you're gonna be in got a rude awakening. The food what was fresh was good but you gotta pick and choose, test by trial per say. Service was amazing, hostess was very friendly and kind. Atmosphere was as expected for a dinner rush, some times peaceful with the sudden entertaining chaos. Overall not bad but I would like to try more places so I can compare.

For those who would like more insight: Look for food that looks fresh, the egg noodles, crawfish, general Tsao, seafood dishes except fried crab, fried squid and head on shrimp (head on shrimp and fried squid overcooked, fried crab hard to access and only middle was worth eating). They have American options like Pizza, wings, fries (child options) but who goes to a buffet for American food? They do have a Mongolian grill with limited options, didn't try but it did smell good. They have sushi made "fresh", nothing complicated mostly California rolls. Egg rolls were undercooked and old so make sure if you want those, wait for a fresh batch. Other than that, you'll have to find out on your own!

Don’t know her name but the waitress is terrible. She stands by your table till you tip her, if she sees you didn’t she’ll come up to you and tell you to tip her. If you say you’ll tip in cash, she will once again stand next to you till you do so. I know jobs pay terrible but what’s the point of breathing down our necks? That isn’t helping your case.
Food is delicious tho! Sushi is always good quality, and it’s always fresh. Definitely tip the sushi makers.

This used to be a go-to place for us for quite a while. After my expierence the other day though I won't be back. Over $50 for 3 of us (drank water) and it was not worth it. Had 3 or 4 people walk past me standing at the grill without even being acknowledged, was only there because I wanted hot food for a change. Everything from the chicken to the noodles were cold, general chicken was just sauced corn starch, no chicken to be found, and even the sauce was pretty bland.

The sushi was ok, the grill is what you make it. But if I'm going to spend that much I expect much better. I'm not expecting fine dining at a buffet, but I do expect hot food, meat in meat dishes, and attentive service; especially for the price.

Had some family come to town and they said they really wanted to eat at a Buffay, I used to come here all the time when I was younger and I thought it was delicious. I was very saddened by the experience today. The food was cold, dry, and underwhelming. The employees were yelling at each other in front of customers. They tried to charge us for a friend who came in with us, but didn’t end up eating. It was $20 a person even though one of those people was 11 years old. I did not eat one thing that impressed me and I’m really not picky. Also, while we were leaving one of the waitresses came over and said “tip?” Which I don’t know why she asked that when she wasn’t even the person who brought us drinks or cleared our tables. I ended up telling her that I didn’t have any cash, and she started yelling at me and her native tongue. Definitely won’t be back and definitely will be telling other people not to go.

While the atmosphere with the decor and lighting was indeed decent, the food and service was very lackluster.
Food was stale and not matching of labels put on buffet. After ordering drinks the waitress consistently kept trying to switch the drinks around even after insisting that we were drinking the right glass in front of us
After a lackluster lunch the time for bill came the the waitress kept insisting to leave a bigger and bigger tip. We insisted that we weren't happy with the service and she wouldn't take payment unless we left a tip.

The food on the buffet was very cold! If the food inspector had come in, they would have failed. It did not taste good at all. We tried multiple things, but everything we got was cold. I bet if the food was hot, it might be good. The wait staff brought our drinks and then took plates once. When we walked in, the staff ignored us for a minute to finish playing on their phones. Then, when we went to check out, we had to wait again. There were 3 ladies behind the register, yet we still had to wait. The place did look like it needed some attention. The wallpaper was peeling in many places. The booths were very worn down and uncomfortable to sit in.

The booths and chairs a torn and/cracking in places. The food quality has dipped from the first time I ate there, but it's still delicious. As far as the atmosphere goes, it kinda resembles a run down mom and pop restaurant. We came here around lunchtime and were quickly seated and got our drink order. There was definitely a variety to choose from, but it was evident the food was sitting for a while, like any other buffet. Got several things. Some foods were good, others were stale. The only time we had any interaction with the waitress was refilling our drinks and giving us a check, nothing more. Looking at several reviews, I can understand their frustrations eating here after going myself. There is a lot of things they can improve on and I can only hope they'll take these reviews more seriously.

We had lunch here today, and I liked the food. However, the interior needs some updates. The tables have cracks, the bathroom had a tub to catch dripping soap, and there was a pee smell. Also, the fish pond at the entrance has very little water, and the waterfalls aren't working. If they improved the place's appearance, they would likely attract more customers. I have no complaints about the food.
