Food is usually very good. Service was not a pleasant experience. Asked for a soda to drink it came flat when replaced the second one was flat. Informed server and he set a glass of ice water on front of me and still charged for the soda. Also ordered an appetizer, it never came. Luckily we weren't charged for it. It's not like the place was overly busy. One other table had guests

The restaurant is apparently closed. I've had 2 cancelled orders in the past 2 weeks and the parking lot is always empty. Shut down your online ordering if you are closed.

And after I left this above review, the owner accused me of slandering them and being a delivery person. I'm not a delivery driver. I was a customer for 4 years until you charged my card again for no reason and made me drive all the way there just to get a cancelled order receipt while in the parking lot 30 min later. Maybe fix your hours on Google or your direct website and close your online ordering when you are not actually open instead of blaming other people for your careless mistakes that send people back to work on their lunch break without any food because they don’t have time to place another order somewhere else. Very unprofessional response back and just bad business.
I wasn't trying to slander anyone. I really thought you were permanatly closed, but now I see why your parking lot is always empty. It must be the nice and professional service you offer.

Found this restaurant through a Google search and decided to try it out, since sushi sounded good. My friend and I arrive and immediately notice the lack of maintenance to the exterior and dirty/water stained entryway. The person who seated us was one the phone, barely looked at us, and waved us forward with the menus in hand. We were seated at a table which was dirty, so we requested a booth, but that was also sticky; the server did clean it off when requested.

We ordered our food and were discussing how empty the restaurant was (*no* other patrons) and how dirty it seemed, so we started looking at reviews....oh, boy! An incredible number of one-star reviews and the restaurant responded to some with unwarranted severity. This was immediately worrisome, and what with poor ratings of the food, we decided to leave. I've never left a restaurant after ordering, but we felt it best. Went ahead and canceled our order, paid $20, and scooted! We could see into the kitchen on our way out and it looked grimy and dirty.

Some of the reviews for the food were good, but we didn't want to risk anything after we saw that kitchen. Ended up finding a much better place to eat.

Entered this establishment with zero expectations because we did not see any reviews beforehand and was ushered in by a gentlemen on the phone and sat at a table that was sticky with uncomfortable seats, so we asked to move to a booth and they allowed is to without any difficulty. This booth, however was also sticky even after cleaning it. With these red flags, we decided to check the reviews after ordering. We immediately apologized and canceled our order while providing them with 20 dollars for any inconvenience. We were able to peek at their kitchen while leaving and there was mold or grime under one of their stations!

Food was just not good. Payed like $20 for FOUR pieces of the most disgusting sushi I’ve ever had.
Shrimp spring rolls were inedible. Had one bite of one and had to throw it out.
Cheesecake was alright. It was the only thing I finished. It tasted store bought and it was frozen, so $7 for a small slice was kind of ridiculous.
Payed in total $40 and I just felt robbed because I paid all that for inedible food.

Ordered online and was told 30 min. When I got there place looked abandon. Upon entering it was very dirty and clutter everywhere. Spoke to a guy who was very rude. He then started making my sushi. Got the food, left. Tried the one piece each, of three different rolls and they were all horrible!! Hands down the worst sushi I’ve ever had!! Stopped at the gas station and threw it all away. Complete waste of money

I had to go there to pick up an online order and the facility was very filthy. When I went inside, it reeked of cat urine. I understand that it’s a Japanese restaurant and will have a smell in the air, but this was a different scent and very potent. The workers there had two children there behind the counter without shoes completely barefoot. The building had zero customers, I wonder why 🙄

I’ll be honest the negative reviews scared me a bit at first, but overall I was pleasantly satisfied. The food was pretty good, didn’t take long. The restaurant itself could use a good cleaning (the floors were sticky), but it was spacious and with some TLC it was a nice dining area. I haven’t eaten sushi elsewhere in this city so I can’t compare it here, but overall I’d say it’s worth eating here or ordering out (as many people seemed to do while we were there.)

We have eaten lunch a few times here and have always enjoyed it. I always get one of the teriyaki boxes, which I believe are reasonably priced and have ample portions. Everything I've ordered here has been good, so I don't understand some of these reviews. Maybe things are different in the evenings, but we had a very good lunch today. Nice server. We didn't get the food fast, but it seemed about average for a sit-down restaurant. It can be very quiet here, maybe because it is slightly out of the way. But it's definitely worth checking out.

Best hibachi I've ever had! I got the salmon and fried rice, my fiance had the chicken, and my daughter had the kids chicken with fried rice. We could not stop eating! The dishes all came out at different times, which was strange, but they came out fresh and hot. Great service all around, too.

We ate here Friday 4-19-24 evening. I wasn’t going to leave a review, but seeing how they aggressively called out my husband. I decided to leave one.

The atmosphere is not as inviting as you think it should be. We were sat at a table that rocks and chop sticks and napkins were used to try and stabilize it. The restaurant was empty. If the bathroom doesn’t scare you out the door with the murder vibes due to lack of working lights and bathroom stall locks the food should.

The sweet and sour sauce served with the crab Ragoon and yum yum sauce were so thick you had to spread it with a butter knife. My chicken was not cooked and the waiter didn’t ask me how I’d want my steak cooked. It was served to me practically mooing. It looked like they gave it a sear and served it.

The fried rice was mushy and tasted like nothing but soy sauce. My husbands sushi was warm. We didn’t eat our meal and took it to go. The argument for my husbands post said we ate everything and we didn’t. It was thrown into the trash at the speed way next door. I do not recommend eating here. And if you read through the reviews, you can see where it’s family writing some of the five stars.

I was given Diet Coke even after asking for a coke, not once but twice. The waiter never stayed long enough for us to say we didn’t like something. We were never rude and even left a $6 tip on a $60 bill for their troubles.

I’m sure they were good at one time, but I definitely wouldn’t recommend or go again. And anyone who writes a review being bad they attack on here, so be aware.

We did not finish the food, we took the left overs in boxes then promptly pitched it in the trash. Food was under cooked and sushi was warm. Dead as can be run down. Ordered a 720ml sake got maybe 360 and charged for large 9.95. Dont say it is something it isn't. That is 360ml. Lying on menu is not a good look. And server didn't know what to say and didn't listen to my order didnt seem to really want me here expecting me to have a pickup. Acted likenit was a problem me being in here. Only customer dining in. Food isnt too bad but definately not worth hibachi prices for coming from kitchen they charge steak tasted very rubbery probably frozen. Dont waste your time. And no sauces charged per. Their dressing was an actual ginger dressing that was quite suprising and good. Obviously only getting their business from surrounding hotels this is a ghost town. The reviews are what they are should have looked at them first.

My daughter enjoyed her chicken katsu. The rest of us ordered hibachi with filet, but what we received was chewy and gristly- definitely not filet. I brought this up to the waiter who insisted it was filet and charged us for that. The place is not clean. The fact that we were the only customers at 6 pm on a Sunday should have been our first sign.

Restaurant does mostly carry out orders but has dine in. We were there, and we were the only table for almost our entire visit. By the time we left, 3 other tables joined the restaurant. Service was slow but friendly. I would hate to see how long it would take if this place was busy. 2 of us definitely felt ill afterwards. I would recommend any other sushi restaurant other than Narita.

This place is not terrible but it's not great at all. I felt like the rice from the sushi wasn't too good because it was more like a mush. I tried to pick it up but it would just fall apart. They have all-you-can-eat but they have that ridiculous rule that they will charge you a dollar for each piece that you leave behind. So if you buy one that you don't like you're forced to eat it or pay a dollar for each piece. I was not going to pay $29 + a dollar for each piece not eaten.

Tried for the first time with my son since I was craving Japanese style food for lunch. It was extremely dirty. We used the restroom before sitting down and it was gross to say the least, no toilet paper, broken door, you name it. The rest of the restaurant was gross as well, not at all what I expected. The floors were filthy and it was only noon with no other customers. Decided not to order the sushi for those reasons. Lunch was luke warm and quality was that of freezer food. $10 for a kids nugget meal! I was going to leave a tip regardless but waiter never bothered to give me a pen and had minimal interaction at that. And yes, I was a real customer, and no it's not slander 🤣 that ceiling is the same from when it was a pizza king and besides being run down it was plain old dirty! Won't be returning

Ate here because not much of anything else was open on a Sunday evening. Service was friendly and fast but food was below average and the cleanliness of the entire restaurant is questionable.
Edit: thanks for the response but I stand by my review. I’ve reviewed hundreds of restaurants and I believe this establishment could be much better if the owners listened to customer feedback rather than defending their current practices.

On their FB page and website they advertise an all you can eat special for $23.99 (normally 29.99). Nowhere does it say weekdays only. We went on a Saturday night arriving before 5pm. There was one other table there. We were first told the all you can eat is weekdays because they’re too busy. When I questioned it he finally said we could have it. I quickly regretted our decision. I’ve gotten sushi rolls from a local grocery store that are WAY better. They very very bland - even the spicy Mayo and eel sauce were basically tasteless.

Sushi was very good. The all you can eat was a great value for the amount of sushi I ordered. I would say the Wasabi was dry or older. It didn't have a lot of flavor or heat so to speak. not a clean establishment. Food container smelled very strongly of cleaning solution. Did not eat any of it. tossed it all out. Very disappointed. Waited until I showed up to even start making the order and then it seemed like it was a bother.

I'm not going to rant but put out a few pieces of real information. Why are Chinese running a non-authentic Japanese Restaurant with low-quality rice? Why does it take 30 minutes just to get seated, another 20 minutes to get drinks and its a simple order of Udon straight from the freezer that costs 1.25 to make and charge 1600% upcharge and only add nappa as vegetables, where is the green onions? Lastly what "Authentic" Japanese Restaurant has pictures of European maps including Italy? I'm so confused... please don't go eat here, seriously youll want a refund and post a negative Google review.

We decided to try a new restaurant for date night. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. The atmosphere was nice, but the building is ran down. I did notice a sippy cup being used as a soy sauce container on a table. Our food was OK. The meat didn’t taste fresh - like precut frozen food that was reheated. It wasn’t worth what we paid. Overall an alright restaurant but definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to come back again.

I love sashimi and my husband loves rolls. On the weat side, this is the best sashimi. Great slices. And the rolls are so amazingly fresh.

Amazing steak. It was so tender. I highly recommend the Filet Mignon with Shrimp! I truly hope someone clears the trees by the establishment so others can see the place better. It's a hidden gem in Plainfield and I had an amazing experience there.

The food was amazing, and the waitress was exceptional. I ordered a fillet mignon dish that was on the higher end of the menu. I didn't realize until I'd taken a few bites, that shrimp would be included in the dish. I have a shellfish allergy, and was unable to eat it. The waitress cheerfully had my order remade. It was amazing. I am unable to eat seafood of any kind, but those in my party that could gave rave reviews of the sushi offerings. Nice atmosphere, Friendly and attentive staff. Definitely a great meal.

First off, this is just as much a review of the previous reviews as it is of the restaurant itself.
I chose to come here because of several 5-star reviews from "local guides." What that means exactly, I don't know. But clearly, the "local guides" who came to this place and raved about it being the best sushi they've ever had, or the great, friendly service, either haven't ever eaten sushi anywhere else or were paid by someone for their kind words.
Now for the restaurant itself. It really probably deserves two stars if I'm really being fair. It wasn't the worst dining experience I've ever had. I didn't see any cockroaches running around. I didn't get sick from eating the food.
But the service was pathetically slow. The waiter either didn't understand our English or care to clarify our orders, which only added to the time it took to prepare twice the amount we actually wanted. The soft drinks (Coke and Sprite) were flat generic knockoffs probably poured from 2-liter bottles purchased at Sam's Club.
The "sushi" was average. Just rolls with lots of sauce to hide the flavor of the subpar fish. I've gotten better rolls from grocery stores.
It was sad, really. Disappointing is probably the best word to describe our experience there. The reviews made it sound so good and we were really looking forward to finally finding a decent Asian restaurant in Indianapolis.
Unfortunately, both the reviews and the restaurant itself let us down.

Edit: And then they reply with: "We did not serve you, you are lying, maliciously defaming slander."
I'll post a copy of my receipt when I get off work and see what they say about that.

Either way, THIS IS PRECISELY WHY NOBODY SHOULD COME TO THIS RESTAURANT.

Edit #2: I tried to upload a photo of our receipt to show that I did, in fact, go to this restaurant, but it is not allowing me to post it. So you can take my word for it or believe the restaurant's statement that I am "lying, maliciously defaming slander." (It would be libel, not slander actually.)
Believe them if you want, but don't complain to me when your experience with these people is as bad as mine.

This restaurant needs a lot of help. We made a reservation for 6:00pm on a Saturday night. We were seated immediately. There were a few other tables with customers and several tables with dishes/plates still on the table. About 15 minutes after being seated our drink orders were taken. 25 minutes later our food orders were taken. Our food arrived 30 minutes after that - 70 minutes after being seated. We ordered an appetizer but it was not brought to the table. The food was fine. It was 20 more minutes after finishing our food that we had to get someone’s attention to bring us our checks. The appetizer we did not receive was on the check. They were able to remove it and comped me my drink for the inconvenience. The dirty dishes on the tables next to us were never cleared in the 2 hours that we in the restaurant.

We went there for Mothers day. TERRIBLE service!! The waitress brought out the salad with a LONG hair dangling out of the salad. 30 min for a drink, The sushi that was ordered for 2 separate people came out on the same plate, and WAY before the appetizer, then we had to wait an additional 25 min for my soup. which I just took home because we had been there for an hour and a half.... The manager came to the table and blamed the server, but the manager was the one that was doing everything else but making the drinks/food. She then told me she could only take $5 off the bill since the owners were in Japan. We used to LOVE this place and came in every week. WE WILL NEVER BE COMING BACK!!

So i LOVED this place. Right up until today. The actual worst experience ive ever had in a restaurant. Which sucks because the food is amazing.... when you finally get it. There were 7 tables and 2 servers. Took 25 mins to get 2 of 3 salads, one got sent back because it had a hair hanging off of it, 40 mins to get my drink, forgot my salad until asked for it, 2 different people ordered sushi but it came out on 1 plate, took an hour to get noodle soup. Then had to ask for a spoon. All the manager did was make excuses that its a holiday, its the servers first day, we are busy, owner is out of town.

Great little Japanese restaurant. The staff were very attentive. I always had a drink refill at my table. My waitress was kind and professional and was very knowledgeable about the food being prepared by the kitchen. Most importantly the food was fantastic and didn't cost near as much as comparable restaurants.

Nice atmosphere. Food was typical of a Japanese Restaurant in US. Hibachi dishes, Sushi, Sashimi, white rice, fried rice, etc. Service was good. Prices are fair. Across the street from the Best Western Plus.
Enjoyed the Hibachi Chicken.

I tend to eat here during the day hours, close to opening and it is always quiet. The service is very good, and prompt. The menu selection is plentiful- with sushi and other food entrees. Lunch and dinner portions, and clean modern decor with comfortable booth and table seating. It is reasonably priced but not inexpensive, and portions are good for price. I eat the sushi or sashimi and it’s excellent each time.

I get Narita on DoorDash all the time, and man I just love this place! Their sushi is super well constructed and the ingredients I get are always very fresh. The fried rice is great and seriously the strawberry & mango Mochi is to die for! They always hook it up with extra ginger and wasabi. The tempura ice cream is something else, too! Highly recommend.

I arrived on at 11:13 2021. Proximately 5 PM. There were only three or four other couples l in the restaurant.

Approximately 30 minutes after I ordered my server ( Who is serving six other tables and was the only one in this place.) came to my table and informed me that she didn’t remember what I had ordered.

The place was broken down and disgusting. Everything was dirty and there were only a cook and someone at the sushi counter and a waitress and that was it for a Saturday night.

Gross.

Never again.

Listen... The building looked like no one has cared since before Covid. Looks like a very high end bar that has since lost its flair. The employees where polite... We waited for over an hour for our appetizer. But the food... Was so good this place is still getting 5 stars. Not the sushi because you are in indiana and if you expect the worlds best sea food here you are just dumb... But the rest of the food was some of the best things i have ever put in my mouth ever... Like ever. Better than any food i ate in Hawaii or anywhere else i have ever been. It was very unexpected but do your self a favor and go order anything but the sushi and thank me later.

Never go back again. Many times have forgotten food and have had to wait a while for food before as well. Very poor customer service. Owner reached out to where I had done the online order on who reached out. As a customer and someone who has been in customer service for 16 years I've never been treated so rudely by a someone especially being hung up on when trying to talk about past experience in the past. Not only poor presentation of food and just sloppy made and put together. As I told the company that handles the online ordering we will never and I repeat never go there again after such bad customer services. Its not wonder a majority of the reviews have been poor ratings just to be honest.

Not sure what the issue is with all these negative reviews because the hibachi food is the best hibachi I've ever had. Atmosphere is nice, wait staff is great, and their ginger salad dressing is amazing. I didn't try their sushi, but the other food is 100% worth the prices. Will be returning.

Sushii is ok.... I understand they are busy but the soup, appetizers, rice, hibachi and yakisoba were ALL too salty to eat. Meat picked off and full plates returned to kitchen. No concern. No apologies. Just bill for $80. Will not be returning.
