I have been here before. It is under new management and it is good! Their food is delicious! Today I had the korean tacos (slightly fried corn tortilla which is how the tortillas in mexico are for tacos), bulgogi bowl (has white rice and lettuce with whatever sauce you ask for), chicken ramen with chicken soup base. The atmosphere is cozy and modern. Best Korean restaurant I have been at many. Food is made fresh! The time before this that we came to eat we ordered the bulgogi ramen and shrimp tempura ramen. Spicy soup base. Was so delicious!!!! Definitely coming back!

Update: 10/6/24 - They changed their fried chicken to cheaper batter, so it is no longer the same crunchy and savory bone-in fried chicken we loved. New fried chicken picture is included in review (the 4th pic of the sweet and spicy chicken) This is disappointing as this was our favorite Korean fried chicken place.

Great quality food at a solid price. Their bone-in fried chicken is our favorite go-to. We got the garlic soy chicken, spicy pork kimbap, and bulgolgi fushion tacos

Ate here today on a holiday, July 4. Victor and Don were the two individuals working. We were greeted friendly. We ordered family style, sharing two kimbop, beef bulgogi, ddeokboki, and steamed rice. Everything was served in good time and delicious. Best bulgogi we’ve had in the area!

What a delicious lunch my friend and I had! We both tried the sweet and spicy chicken bowl and assorted Asian drinks. Beautiful presentation! Service was great! Small, but very nice decor and very clean. Fair prices. If I lived closer, I would order often. Located in a strip mall with easy parking.

The rolls at this restaurant were huge, which we loved. You get a lot of bang for your buck. We were also given complimentary miso soup while we waited for our food. However, the table was quite sticky even after they cleaned it and they played super loud music throughout the back of the restaurant (so loud it was distracting). They also forgot to give us our drinks so we had to go up and ask for them.

We placed an order in advance on Thursday for pickup Saturday for 5:30pm. We got to the restaurant at 5:28pm and we were informed they were packing it up. Two orders were fulfilled before our order from Thursday. We finally got the order 25 minutes later, 23 minutes after the requested time for an order we placed two days before. Would caution anyone ordering from here to give an extra 30 minutes or so extra from your desired pickup time. I didn't get the sense management was committed to getting our order on time. Despite the extra days in advance we were still left waiting for our order. Would advise management review their process and workflow to ensure that orders can make the committed times.

Small joint with great food and excellent service. We started with the Sesame Balls, which were full of flavor and just sweet enough, and had those alongside the Rice Cake Skewers - a wonderful combination of tangy, spicy, crispy chewy goodness. After that our table shared excellent dishes all around - Bibimbap, Bulgogi Yakisoba, Kimbop and Boneless Chicken. No joke all of them were great. On top of the amazing food, service was top notch. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try!

Got take out/deliver through uber eats. Sushi came fresh, rolls were large/greatly portioned . Also got the fried chicken (boneless) plain with sauce on the side. SOOOOOO good. Don't forget the crab rangoon as an appy of course! Will order again.

Entering the restaurant was amazing, my family and I were greeted kindly by their service, we were seated quickly. Inside the restaurant itself is decorated in a modern contemporary, Korean style. That made the food more enjoyable. I had shared the chicken and sushi with my family, it was amazing. So good I would get a whole bucket of both servings. Super cute decorations. Reasonable prices, very tasty flavors on everything we ate. Attentive quick service. There were 4 of us that came in. We were seated right away, we had water immediately, had our menus. We ordered various dishes including sushi rolls, kimbop chicken roll, salmon roll, pot stickers, sesame balls, fried chicken tenders that are absolutely delicious! Absolutely everything that we ate was amazing. Will be going back again soon and definitely recommend to dine in, take out, order for parties, for any and all occasions.

This is my go-to for takeout sushi/kimbop. Good taste, and good price. I regularly get california, tuna, and salmon rolls.

I had the vegetable bibimbop once and do not recommend it. It felt like 90% rice and 10% iceberg lettuce and carrot. To make it worse, it was $13 which is very overpriced. Maybe consider if you order with a meat, but I would prefer to get bibimbop in Glenview.

I was blown away by the food and service at Kimbop! Between the fried chicken and Godzilla roll, I can honestly say it was it was some of the tastiest food I have had. The vibe inside the restaurant is cozy and laid back. Perfect for a chill date night or quick bite to eat. 10/10 recommend!

Tucked into a strip mall, it would have been easy to miss this cute little gem serving up Korean street food , sushi rolls, and the famed Korean fried chicken. Walking in, it looked like a one of those little snack shops you see in K-drama with the posters and colorful decor.
Food was tasty and reasonably priced.
Service was excellent. We had a minor hiccup, but staff was great, communicative and more than made up for it by their attentiveness. We ate in, but the whole time there was nonstop walk in, pick up, and dashers. Go early, they are so popular that they run out at the end of the night. We had the bone in fried chicken, sweet onion and sweet and spicy sauce- crispy batter and super tender fall off bone chicken. We also had their bibimbop- beef, generous with toppings and veggies. Our surprise favorite was a comp’d sweet onion boki. Chewy and flavorful surprise! So glad we stopped and found this little gem!

It was so good that I didn’t share with my coworkers!!! If they only knew how delicious it was😅 They also have fried chicken strips!!! What makes the whole experience so unique is that they have their own home made sauces!! A huge variety of them to pick from so you can dunk that chicken and have your mouth full of happiness!!!!! I really enjoyed a lot about Kimbop. Good small business atmosphere, unique menu, and friendly service. Unfortunately, I really question the food safety practices here. The second time visiting the business on 8/10/24 the entire party who consumed the bulgogi and sushi suffered food poisoning. Violent vomiting and diarrhea after eating food that we felt tasted a little off. I would be careful about eating here.

My wife and I were scrolling through Uber eats and we found this place which was highly recommended and we are glad to give them a try! Everything that we order from the fried chicken, sweet potato sushi, and miso soup was delicious! Which surprised me because most times when you order food for delivery, the food comes a bit soggy, but everything came very fresh so I can only imagine what everything will taste like once we sit inside the restaurant itself. We are definitely coming back to Kimbop to try their other food items on the menu and shoutout to Joe! He’s very nice and friendly.

I just want to make a note that everywhere inside had lights flashing in a strobe pattern. I am sensitive to this so we moved outside. We enjoyed the food, but we will likely only do pickup in the future.

Absolutely love this place!! I'm a big sushi fan and Kimbop is hands down one of my favorite places in Illinois. They have a great variety on their menu and all of their food is SO FRESH. If I could come here every week, I definitely would!! Out of this world food, fantastic service, and just an overall great vibe inside.

I have life-threatening food allergies and the staff did everything in their power to make sure there was no cross-contamination and that I would be complete safe eating all the food. They helped me on what to order and checked in multiple times to make sure everything was perfect and safe. Thanks for all you do Kimbop team!!!

It's hard to find a place that pleases our entire family, but Kimbop definitely makes the list! The food is excellent, whether you want fried chicken (mmm! Sweet and Spicy!), sushi, or ramen. The space is small, but the decor is whimsical and the opposite of Corporate Bland that's taking over restaurant spaces these days. Service has also been fantastic every time we've gone. We'll be back, and soon!

This is a treasure. I am new to Korean food. Oh what a delight i found. Upon entering we were greeted by Victor. Very helpful in explaining spice levels. Birthday for my granddaughter.
she said it was magnificent. Don n Victor gave a great presentation.

Kimbop deserves nothing less than 5 stars! They have amazing sushi and the deals you get for the party trays are phenomenal! Customer service is top tier, and they are very patient with you when you order. I would recommend them to anyone who asks. The sushi was so good, I had to call them back after my first few rolls and let them know how amazing it was. You pay for quality and service here. If you're not close, make the drive. It's well worth it.

Korean and Japanese fusion. The sushi rolls were aesthetically well made and the taste was good but I felt that they could have made them with a little more fish. There were about 4 tables for seating. It works for a casual meal but I probably won’t hold parties here. The staff at the front were very friendly and likable.

This is my second time ordering take out from Kimbop. The first time the service was horrid and thought I would give them a second chance. However, the second time will be the last time. I scheduled pick up for my order at 7pm. I arrived at 6:50pm. My order was not ready at the promised time and I winded up waiting additional 35 minutes for my two pieces of sushi. When I checked in with the gal at the front she gave a snippy attitude like I was waiting for nothing. I came two minutes away from asking for a refund and walking out until they said it will be “2minutes” that 2 minutes ended up being 10 minutes for total 45minutes!!! Outrageous! If you are running behind please inform and just communicate to your customer instead of keeping them waiting. The fact that there were no updates and I was the one that kept asking for update is ridiculous. I will not be returning.

My friends and I went a few days ago and was pleasantly surprised. We ordered kimbap, tteokbokki, and spicy ramen and everything was absolutely delicious. The server and owner were so kind and attentive. We are planning to visit again. Give this place a try!

I have tried bulgogi kimbop, beef yaki soba noodles, and bulgogi bowl. All were delicious! My favorite was the bulgogi kimbop. Its a nice spot to grab a quick bite. Service can be improved. Even though place didn’t have many customers I had to wait min of 20 min each time I visited. But will be back for the kimbop :)

Omo! The Korean Fried Chicken is the best fried chicken I have ever had! Great selection of Gimbap and the spicy rice cake skewer is so deliciously sweet and spicy! All the sauces are made from scratch. Lots of choices for the menu with nice fusion dishes too.

What a delicious lunch my friend and I had! We both tried the sweet and spicy chicken bowl and assorted Asian drinks. Beautiful presentation! Service was great! Small, but very nice decor and very clean. Fair prices. If I lived closer, I would order often. Located in a strip mall with easy parking.

Food here is very good. Worker did a great job suggesting what to get and helping to accommodate. Hallway with the rave lights was a great place for a business meeting. Couldn't take my eyes off the person eating food on the TV. Will be back.

Ordered delivery, two gimbap and two sushi rolls from this place. Gimbap has great balance of flavor and ratio of ingredients. Sushi tastes fresh and very generously filled with ingredients. Probably one of the most satisfying lunches my partner and I have had, and it may be a new go-to for us.

The food was pretty good! I loved the teriyaki salmon roll and the house salad, but the miso soup had a bit of a strange taste-not like your typical miso soup. The service was fantastic over the phone. I called with some questions about ordering online and the manager I spoke with was super helpful and so friendly! It was a really enjoyable experience talking to him and he took care of the questions/requests I had. I will definitely try out more from the menu!

I've eaten here a couple of times and everytime I order something different. So far, everything has been super delicious!! I especially like the rolls and bulgogi. Super yummy and the portions are pretty big too! The service is great and they make you feel very welcome, I will probably be coming back to try everything on the menu!

I work in the area and decided to try this place for lunch. I've never had it but I decided to try the Korean items on the menu. I decided to do take out and all the food was packaged for transport and everything was still hot when I opened it up to eat. I got the Bulgogi (Marinated beef) Kimbop, Ddukkbokki (Spicy Rice Cakes) and an order of kimchi. Bulgogi was very flavorful and I loved the texture and flavor of the other vegetables. Think of a sushi roll but warm with meat and veggies. The spicy rice cakes were chewy and delicious. The sauce was flavorful but not too spicy where you couldn't eat it. Kimchi was crunchy and tangy! I will absolutely be coming back and will try other things on the menu.

The man who helped me when I picked up my food up was so friendly and nice. I would love to come and eat in to take in more of the vibe. Restaurant was smaller but had a fun and intimate feel.

Every time I've been here the food was top notch, and while I'm boring and order the same lunch special Fried Rice (which is the perfect size), maybe one day I'll branch out something else on the menu

Also, the restaurant seems kinda small at first, but it's actually just cozy, and I'm personally a fan of the music played, so I recommend dining in if you get the chance.

Tried the Beethoven’s Romance and Flaming Zilla. Both were really good and fresh. Service was polite and excellent. Seating was a little tight, music a little loud, but nice decor. Will be back to try the Korean chicken, ramen, and other rolls.

This place is amazing. I went there and the staff was very nice and the food was bomb. Don't let the location fool you or the size of the restaurant. The food is cooked to order and the wings were crispy and savory and the sushi rolls were full and amazing. Even the sauces they have are very rich. The prices are reasonable for the food they have. I took a whole bunch of wings with me on the plane home. If you have second thoughts, don't. Try it out you won't regret it!

I was in town for work and found this little place. I have to say, Kimbop was a fantastic fusion experience. The server was really generous and all the food was amazing, but it was the Korean fried chicken that really slaps. If you're looking for a hole in the wall place with a unique experience, give this one a try.

This is truly a hidden gem! My partner and I love it every time we've had it so far. We've had delicious sushi, short ribs, kimbop, fried rice, and tacos. The only complaint was I wished the rice cake skewer had charring but still worth the 5 stars

First time eating there. Got the bulgogi roll, the pork cutlut roll and the white mountain roll. Ingredients were all fresh and delicious. The workers were super helpful and kind. It is a little pricey but well worth the money. Definitely going back!!

Don’t walk, run! This place is the bomb. The location is cute with amazing service from Donald. Portions huge, meats and veggies fresh and delicious. Great addition to wheeling and a great value.

I had the chicken bowl. It was huge. I’m still full 5 hours later. Thanks for taking the time to walk me through the huge menu!

Keep up the great food and service. I can’t wait to dine in again.

I was really excited to try this spot as it had good reviews. I was a little disappointed for the food that was given for the amount that was spent. I ordered the 12 piece chicken wings, and they were so small, but the flavor was extremely good! Ordered the bulgogi fries, and there was hardly any meat. The fries were soggy, and they were covered with a lot of cheese and ketchup and an egg. Also ordered the bibimbap. The flavors of the food were delicious and spot on. The staff were friendly and nice and the restaurant was cozy. I'll probably try this spot early in the day and another time-hopefully will get more food next time.
