Expensive for terrible portions. I ordered a chicken katsu and there’s like 80% fried batter and the smallest amount of chicken NOT WORTH $13. NO SEASONING. NO FLAVOR EXPECT GD VEGETABLE OIL.

Quite sad too - it’s not chicken Katsu at all. Might as well call it batter Katsu because there’s literally 3-4 bits of actual chicken. If I saw the meal before picking it up, I would’ve left it with the waitress and walked out. Terrible quality food, go to macdonalds instead. Oh yea and the commercial barbecue sauce was the icing on the cake, such bad food man. The candle on the cake was when I opened the take out bag to find a liquid mess of their whack teriyaki salmon leaking all over my bag.

What did the chicken Katsu taste like? It tastes like the restaurant hasn’t cleaned their deep fryer in weeks. Just smells like a pot of vegetable oil.
Who knows, better food might lay in the dumpster behind the restaurant.

Food is so good and fair price in late night option Resturant. I spent $15 for big ramen chicken katsu, pork chasu, egg in milky best broth. Come with bbq sauce is so good too. Undon padthai is more favorable and fresh $12. Also the best thing they have so many Asian fancy drink to good to try

This place stole my food. Ordered 40$ of delivery and it never came. My Uber eats app said it was delivered at 1am, when I called at 1:08 they said the driver was on its way. It never showed up, no one contacted me, I have no missed calls, I’ve been waiting by the door. The driver literally stole my food. Do not order delivery from here. I order from here at least once a week, usually at least one item is missing. My orange chicken is missing rice half the time. I ordered take out through Uber and my sushi only came with shrimp and packed with cucumbers there was no Avocado no Creme cheese nothing that actually makes it sushi.i tried to give them the benefit of the doubt Bec I ordered a hour or two before closing but the rice around the sushi was soggy and thick i couldn’t even get my utensils through the sushi or it would fall apart.I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this was just bad sorry

Ordered through Uber Eats. I placed my order at 8:45pm. They said it would arrive between 9:15-9:45pm. Okay makes sense. And I’m a 10min drive from the restaurant. Should be on the lower end of delivery time. It hits 9:45pm and they change the time to 10:20-10:40pm. I ordered Pad See Ewe and Gyoza. There’s no way it takes THAT LONG to make some noodles and dumplings.

I FINALLY get my food at 10:15pm and it’s lukewarm at BEST; and the Pad See Ewe had no broccoli as it states in the description. Thankfully I ordered it with chicken or it just would have been plain noodles with sauce.

I will NEVER order from here again. I wanted to give them a try because they looked good. And the food is decent. But the long delivery time and lack of attention to detail is a NO from me. Luckily Uber refunded me. But I would not chance getting food from here.

ETA: I am noticing in older reviews they say they can’t deliver more than 3mi away due to short staffing on drivers and Uber Eats allows people to place orders from further away than that. Ordered through Uber eats. Ramen was so cold it was like it had never been warm, also it said spicy miso ramen but wasn’t spicy at all. The pork tasted really gross and off I was scared to eat it. The egg was way too hard boiled and chalky. Also the spicy basil fried rice wasn’t spicy either.

I ordered on Postmates from this restaurant and they do their own deliveries. Like they don’t get Uber drivers. They do their own deliveries. They took over two hours and then ended up not coming to deliver our food because it was “too far.” They then increased the price in the app and told us we had to deal with cancelling it even though the store should be able to do so. They took no accountability and communication was terrible. 20 minutes before I called to check about the status and they said it would be there in 15 and then they turned around and went back. Do not order from here.

I order from them often and have tried via uber eats and directly and they always start low in price, raise the cost $10-$20, refuse to use an uber driver resulting in more costs, and can’t stick to a delivery time usually resulting in over an hour for delivery less than 10 minutes away.

It took over three hours just for the food to not get delivered. I tried calling them for support into what happened and there was no response. Then when I tried to get a refund through the Ubereats app it popped up as order complete out of nowhere when the food was nowhere to be found. It was actually ridiculous. I’m so irritated right now and so hungry. This used to be one of my go-tos because of the portion sizes and convenience but this experience just ruined everything.

I ordered food from this restaurant and after nearly 2 hours they still did not have a delivery driver available to deliver my food. They also offered no option to refund the order. At this point it, was getting very late in the night and I wanted to eat and get to bed, but had to wait up for this food I had ordered hours ago since I was being charged either way.
After 2 hours my food had not been delivered but it had been marked as delivered by the restaurant. Now I need to figure out how to get my money back. This place is a scam. I’d suggest eating elsewhere

My friend recommended that we go here because they serve until 2am. I called ahead of time to ask if their kitchen was open and if they serve alcohol. I confirmed their kitchen was open until 2am and we arrived at 10:15pm.

We didn't realize that it was taken out only so we were surprised that we couldn't be seated. I'm still unsure if they have a dining option during the day or if it's always take out only. It would have been helpful to know this when I called, but there was a language barrier which is understandable.

We placed our order at 10:26pm and it was ready by 11:10pm. We were able to sit inside at a table to wait for our food, which we were grateful for! The lady who took our order was very nice. The prices on the physical menu in person aligned with what we were charged.

I got the Philly roll with a side of spicy mayo ofc and the rama with chicken. The roll was fine but the rice was a little dense and chewy. The spicy mayo was a little too spicy for me, but that's not their fault. The rama was pretty flavorless and didn't have enough peanut sauce. However, the portions were generous and I'll be able to get 3+ meals out of the rama. I had to buy peanut sauce from another Thai place for my leftovers because there wasn't enough on it. The broccoli was also hard from not being cooked enough.

I'd say kimberli's is a fine choice if you're looking for thai food to go and want to support a local business.

Pad See Ew tastes like unflavored grocery chow fun noodles.
The spring rolls are bland as well.
The rice of the rolls is wet and mushy.
The ramen is BORDERLINE DISGUSTING. The broth tastes like soup typically served in a hospital, the noodle's texture and taste is a dead takeaway that it's an instant noodle. The egg is... hard boiled. Who the f serves hard boiled egg with ramen?? I don't want to sound like a Karen but this is literally the worst food I've ever had with my family.

TL;DR
Food tastes demonic. Straight out from hell. You'd be better off cooking your own food while following Youtube recipes. You seriously cannot mess up more than this restaurant does.

Wowowow. The customer service here is top notch. Suffice it to say I had a really long day/week, and I was craving a salad so hard. I ordered a spicy Poké bowl through Grubhub, and I specified lettuce as my base from the list of options. I ordered a few more items to justify the cost of delivery (as I always do). When the delivery arrived (at least 20 minutes early, which was great considering how hungry I was; I think they have their own drivers even if it's through another delivery service), I was really bummed to see there was no lettuce with the bowl and white rice had been used instead. I know this is not a big deal in the big picture sense, but like I said, it had been a really long week, and my body was craving the greens. So when the whole reason for the order was missing (and there were no special requests), I was really bummed. I called the restaurant directly instead of trying to complain through GrubHub. Luckily, they were still open. The woman who answered the phone gave my message to the manager who called me back moments later to apologize and remedy the situation. I explained I really only needed some lettuce, and they said someone would bring it to me with another delivery. A little while later, the driver returned with a bag, and I was shocked to find a whole new bowl with all of the toppings atop the lettuce. They went above and beyond, and ultimately over delivered. I will absolutely continue ordering from Kimberli Sushi & Thai.

Regarding the rest of the order: They always have specials, so I usually just get whatever I'm craving plus some of those options. I love their BOGO sweet potato roll (I'm a big fan of saving them for the next day and pan-searing them in sesame oil (there's no fish, so it doesn't matter if it's heated up). This is at least the third time I've ordered their Tom Kha, and it's been great each time. The broth is silky smooth, not watery at all, and full of flavor. I've ordered it with shrimp and tofu, but this time I opted for vegetable. I think the shrimp is my favorite, but you're still going to enjoy the flavor if you don't wanna splurge for the add-on. I had forgotten that they also throw in an order of egg rolls if your order is above a certain amount, so those were nice to find as well. I don't love the flavor of their filling as much as other spots, but they were still a nice bonus. I am really glad this business stays open later than a lot of their competitors, and I really appreciate how they came through to make things right.

This is the worst Asian meal I've ever eaten, beef teriyaki it's sauce is like water and we are not given the chopsticks or forks that we should have, do we eat with our hands? We were visiting Chicago and were happy to find an Asian restaurant that was still open in the evening, but the meal we got was so disappointing, I can't recommend it

Food wasn't really good. I paid almost $100 and I got my food after 1.5 hour which should have been 25 minutes. I also found a piece of hair in my food and the staff wasn't believing me. Staff was really rude and disrespectful. There is no place for you to dine in and there is literally no place for you to even stand because of all their furnitures blocking the entrance. Would totally NOT recommend to eat from here.

Ordered delivery from Kimberli for the first (and last) time today - 2 brown sugar bubble teas and a Triple Godzilla and Wisecracker roll. Delivery (by the restaurant) took almost 1 and a half hours, and the food suffered for it. Not only did one drink arrive with a quarter of the "tea" spilled out, but both disappointing bubble beverages were 80% ice, tasted exclusively of milk, and contained sad, hard little boba. The lychee jelly was the only part worth finishing. The Godzilla roll was delivered looking like a mess, and the taste didn't make up for the lacking presentation - the rice in particular was not good. I had high hopes for my Wisecracker roll, but it had been sitting waiting to be delivered for so long that the tempura exterior was spongy and cold. Flavors were decent but overpowered by cream cheese, no nuance whatsoever.
With so many great sushi and bubble tea options in the area, it will be hard to justify ordering from this place again.

Every time I order from here, there’s never any utensils (chopsticks, fork spoon etc) and half the time it’s poorly packed and usually missing part of the items. It’s a shame because food is pretty decent and it’s one of the few places open late.

Been ordering from here for last couple years and quality of food has steadily declined during that time. My recent order included ice cold egg rolls and poorly wrapped sushi which were not even the correct roll. Used to really enjoy this place, but there are much better options in the area.

Appetizers here are amazing- love going here when I leave work… only disappointment is when I order the Thai iced drinks it’s filled to the top with ice and barely enough liquid in the cup(barely enough for 3/4 big sips) definitely suggest putting less ice in the drinks

This restaurant is run poorly! The people working here don’t greet you upon entering nor ask you if you need any help after standing there for 5 minutes or sometimes even more. In some cases they have the orders ready, but won’t place them on the table for “pick up”. If you don’t trust your customers or delivery drivers than don’t place tables in-front of the entrance of the restaurant and block people in a small space like chickens in a cage!

Got a To Good To Go bag, and it was the worst place I've eaten from so far. For a sushi place I expected maybe 1 or 2 sushi and got old fried rice that looked like it was partially eaten. A piece of chewed chicken was inside.

Ordered on doordash and there is no tracking, and no way to get help. They took over 2 and a half hour to get me a order thay said be there in 1h and there where mistakes made in the order and there is nowhere in doordash to get help. I ordered through DoorDash for delivery and my food was literally drenched in oil. It was disgusting and inedible. I ordered yaki soba, which is supposed to be stir-fry noodles but the noodles were glossy from the grease and you could literally see the oil pooling at the bottom of the container. Not only that, the container was not even closed completely. Thanks to that, the oil spilled all over the paper bag which bled on every single surface I, unknowingly, placed the bag on top of.

When you order on DoorDash, you can usually click "help" under the order to contact customer service (it eventually gives you a phone number). In this case, I could not even reach to customer service because the restaurant never clicked "delivered" so my app kept telling me the food has not been delivered yet when it already has. Therefore the order never really got processed and the app would not let me notify customer service besides calling the restaurant number (which they did not answer). So many things went wrong about this order. I hope this place goes under. When I finally got a hold of DoorDash they refunded my order. Honestly DoorDash should stop doing business with them too so they don't get a bad rep because of them.

Tried to order on Doordash. An hour later and they keep pushing my delivery time back. It was supposed to arrive about 45 minutes after I placed the order. Mind you I live like a 5 minute drive from the restaurant but it’s late and dark thus potential dangerous and so i decided to pay for delivery. An hour and 15 minutes later and the time keeps getting pushed back. Trying to contact DD customer service is a PAIN but i should at least be able to call the restaurant. line’s busy 🙃 after multiple calls line is busy. I was worried my ~raw~ sushi was sitting there and i’m not keen to pay 15 extra dollars in tip and delivery fee for old sushi when i cannot even contact the restaurant.

Horrible experience.
I placed an order online on their website, which should have arrived in 45mins. The order did not arrive at the estimated time, nor anytime close. When I made a call to the restaurant to check on the order 45mins past the estimated delivery time, I was told the drive would be another 15mins away. I asked for the order to be cancelled and refunded at which point, the owner rudely told me to "don't order from this restaurant again."

We got food delivered through Uber eats and it was just okay. We got ramen and the 2 for 1 spicy tuna roll. Neither the container for the noodles and toppings nor the bowl for the broth were big enough to hold everything together so you’ll need to use your own bowl at home. The 2 for 1 really isn’t that great of a deal considering the rolls have cucumber in them too and they clearly just increased their price for each individual order ($9 for an 8 piece roll with hardly any tuna). They also really skimp out on the wasabi and pickled ginger. You could get a better value from many other sushi restaurants in the city like 🦍

The food is decent but the customer service is horrible. I order my food at the restaurant it took them almost 45 mins to an hour to get it done. Plus they forget every time to put the rice and miso soup in bag if you order a dinner entree. Why put on it menu if you going forget every time if someone order it. If I wasn't there to point that out they would not give it to me. I feel sorry for anyone who order from grubhub or doordash or any of food delivery services from this restaurant. I guarantee you are not get what you ordered.

Do not order from them! Horrible. I ordered from DoorDash at 7:02pm and I called them around 7:40pm and a woman said it’s gonna be only 15 minutes. One hour later, the Doordash saids the order is complete and delivered, but my food is not here. This is outrageous, they don’t answer the phone. I will be in contact with Doordash to request a refund because the restaurant just links their phone# and doesn’t offer customer support.I repeat, do not order from them!

Ordered from DoorDash gave 2 hours for delivery window. The order status then showed as delivered with no actual food delivery. I ordered at 10pm with delivery of 1147/12am. I just wouldn’t order from them via DoorDash, grub hub, Uber eats none of them. Norw would i even order for pickup. I regret even supporting this business. There are tons of other places to choose from where you get good sushi and fast service. I won’t be purchasing from them ever again. Just stay away

I called the restaurant and they said the driver was running late had 5-6 orders and they would call to ask where my order was. They called me back and said 20 minutes. I said I wanted a refund which I had to request from door dash. I then get a call from the driver that said he delivered my food I went down it wasn’t there. The delivery was horrible and food likely not worth the hassle. I got my refund from doordash but I don’t think they should be an option anymore as they likely cannot handle the influx in delivery

Restaurant forgot to put the egg rolls in my order. Secondly, the gyoza we ordered was cold and difficult to eat. The sushi was decent but I wouldn’t order sushi again because like what other people said about the portions, they were pretty small and it was about average for sushi.
