Absolutely worth it! They have an all you can eat for 30$ (plus 18% service tax included in the bill) and its amazing. But there is a catch you gotta finish everything you order in your sitting or they charge 1$ per piece you waste and you can't take a box. But the Sushis are really worth it.

This place was really good. We got the all you can eat sushi for three people at a very reasonable price. There is a fee if you do not eat everything, so don't order too much! It also included appetizers and desserts, making this one of the best value dinners in Chambana. The service was decent. Clearly they're still getting organized, but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. No liquor license as of yet is the only major downside.

The food here is underwhelming. The takoyaki lacked the usual bonito flakes, which was disappointing. The sushi and sashimi options are quite limited, and the restaurant only allows you to order two rounds. At $29.99 plus a mandatory 18% service fee, the quality and variety should be much better for the price. We will not come back.

Update in 2021.6.14 --- Used to be my favorite place but the service quality has significantly dropped making me very upset. First we waited more than 25 minutes outside the door after their official opening hour (the staffs were late for 15 minutes and they kept ignoring us after they arrived). The waitress was hesitated in providing additional wasabi and she said I will have to take away the leftover wasabi (for god sake it's only wasabi) and reluctant in filling water. Finally the food amount and quality has reduced and the unagi was not as good as previous years. The amount of sashimi was significantly reduced. I used to drive for two hours just for this restaurant a couple of times but I don't think I will come back again. Sad.
(this review is two years ago) Love this place. Fancy and tasty with a reasonable price. Lunch buffet is highly recommended!!

Short verison - Tasty, very affordable prices and great staff. I recommend eating here.
Long verison -
I have eaten sushi my entire life. High end joints, traditional, non-traditional contemporary, conveyer belt, buffet and so on.
That being said, I believe it's important to understand and appreciate the differences between each "type" of sushi restaurant.
My son and I come here for value, and because we are treated very well. While prices may vary over time, currently, the price per person for "All You Can Eat" sushi is roughly 30 bucks. We usually order a RIDICULOUS amount of nigiri (as sashimi isn't an option on the all you can eat menu) This is probably a good idea, as we can eat our weight in sashimi.
After eating enough sushi to feed a small army, I casually mentioned it was my son's birthday. Not to ask for free dessert or anything. The owner ended up gifting my son a GC to the restaurant for his birthday. How cool is that? We are very grateful!
Again, definitely recommend.
And to the owner, sushi chef and staff, Thank you!

I think the service was overall very nice, maybe because they were only having 2-3 tables while we were there...both the waitress and waiter were very friendly, and the waiter responded to our request quickly. The waitress warned us that for all-you-can-eat, every extra piece left when check out will be charged for extra dollar, so we ordered carefully. Rolls were good, but used way too many avocado, mayo sauce, cheese and cream. American Japanese maybe, but not for people who’s looking for real authentic Japanese foods.

Mid, overpriced sushi. $40 per person for a two round “all you can eat buffet.” Rude staff, bad service, and warm sushi rolls. Nasty. Also, their “chicken katsu” is a Tyson chicken patty.

We had lived in NY and visited so many sushi restaurants. Recently We moved around here and tried this restaurant. It was amazing, this restaurant's nigiri is better than all restaurants we know. The size of nigiri was perfect, it's good for women also. Fish was of course good. Have you ever heard restaurants give us salmon roe and scallop in AYCE?? But they do!! And still cheap!!! I strongly recommend here!

My family of 4 was so excited for all you could eat sushi. We came to this restaurant for all the sushi. We ordered and then went to place a second order the guy told us only 2 rounds get everything you want. What ?!? Where is the sign that states this if that was the case and we knew that when we sat down we would not have opted into a 29.99 a piece all you can eat plus a guarantee. False information. Service was Hella slow as well. $171.00 is more than my hotel room. Would not recommend to anyone ever. Would give 0 stars if I could still write a review.

They have several vegan sushi options as well as the regular style rolls to choose from which is why we chose this place. I ordered the sweet potato roll and the beauty roll which were both delicious. I tried some of the veggies in my friend's fried rice and they had a great flavor as well. I love having plant based sushi options that include more than just the standard veggie roll. I can't wait to go back! I do wish they offered a roll with dairy free cream cheese though. That would be phenomenal.

We were one of the first groups to arrive for dinner, but the food took so long to come out that multiple groups were finished with their meals before we even got our last plate. In the end, we stayed for three hours in the restaurant for three plates of sushi. We needed to wait an hour for each plate of sushi, which was absolutely ridiculous. The waitress at the end tossed our (frozen hard) mochi to us. They never checked on us either, so we had to go for one hour thirsty and without water. They took so long to give us our meal that they forgot to split our check three ways too. The food was not worth waiting that long.
TL;DR, the food is okay, but you may have to wait hours for your meal. Do not recommend.

The sushi itself is good but it’s not all you can eat even when you do all you can eat. You only get 2 rounds of ordering and you have to pay a dollar for left over pieces. How am I supposed to do all you can eat if I cant order slowly and get charged for over ordering at once then? The guy owner is also rude. He takes away chairs without asking when my belongings are on it which made my bag fall.

I feel like the pieces for ayce were a good size and not too bad. We were able to negotiate staying a little later than anticipated because unfortunately there was only one guy working to make orders to not just my table but some others. So to make it so that everyone was actually full they were very accommodating. Otherwise the service would be lower due to the fact that one guy was making our ayce order for a table of 11. We were there for a little less than 4 hours because of the wait.

Absolutely awesome sushi place. All the sushi, soft shell crab and all sorts of other things you can eat for around $25 bucks. The quality of sushi is too notch. My favorite is the salmon roe sushi, I ordered 25 pieces and they were delicious. Highly recommend this place. Servers and owner are very Friendly people. Decor is beautiful and restaurant is clean. Sometimes if there is a big crowd the sushi chefs get a bit overwhelmed so the orders take a bit longer to receive but it's well worth the wait. Just don't over order because they charge you $1 a piece if you leave any behind which is completely understandable considered how labor intensive it is to make sushi.

I mostly wish to express how good the sushi is here. The spicy tuna roll, the Dancing Lee, and angel roll were very good. The nigiri options are good. Slightly smaller than what I have found at other places but still good nonetheless. The Angel roll has a refreshing taste to it, likely due to the apple. The Dancing Lee has a really good sweet and spicy taste to it. I’d say that’s my favorite thus far. The establishment could use a little more help. I felt neglected almost. To their credit, there was one gal working and a guy. I’ve seen the guy on his phone quite a bit and the gal was running around a bit.

Been here a couple times.
One of the main problems is that there's only one guy making ALL. OF. THE. SUSHI. It didn't used to be like this, and there were 2 guys making sushi. For an all you can eat sushi location, you'd expect that more people would be making sushi, but alas it is only one guy. Took an hour and a half for my entire order to come out today...pretty wild stuff.
However, the food is a redeeming quality. It's not like the greatest sushi, but it's good value for 30 dollars all you can eat. I never had a problem with the food, I just wish the food didn't take so long to come or else I would give it 4-5 stars.
So pretty much don't come here unless you have 2+ hours to burn...

This is a great place if you're hungry. "All You Can Eat" option includes various appetizers and rolls. Try them all! I gave one less star because service is sometimes slow and servers forget to bring something that you ordered. I wish they can add Udon/Soba and white steam rice like other AYCE places. Portions are getting smaller compared to the opening days.

Not a fan at all really. The decor is nice. But the sushi didn't taste quite right to me. I decided to return a second time but they still have health code violations on the door. Atleast this time it is a compliance notice but still dinged twice for time/temperature compliance. The manager/owner? Tried to convince me that the violations were for the menu not being correct due to not flagging the items that contain raw fish. I won't eat here. Also the place has an odor of fish. Anyone that consumes sushi regularly knows the place should not have an odor of fish when you open the door. Stay safe and eat well

Rice is not good but ratio is fine.
Soy sauce is almost water.
First wave of food took 20 minutes (i ordered 8 nigiri that should take u minutes)
I was not given more order paper until i finished the first batch. I sat here for another 20 minutes while I sat here becoming more full.
This place is a place worth coming back only for lunch. 25 for dinner does not seem worth.
They also got some of my order wrong.

Overall, surprisingly decent sushi for an all you can eat restaurant. Came in with low expectations, and came out being pretty satisfied with the quality. Not the best sushi you can get in CU, but not bad at all.
Aside from the food, overall it was ok. I can understand a charge for not finishing a roll to cut down on waste and not have people order 20 rolls when they can only eat 2 or 3, but $1/piece that you don't finish is pretty steep in my book.
An 18% gratuity is also automatically charged when you get the check. We paid with card, the second receipt came back with the subtotal (with 18% gratuity already in it) and a line for a tip (which isn't marked as additional). So be careful not to tip twice. Unless that's your thing for some reason.

The place is nice and clean but the prices for what you get is pretty wild. I took myself out to lunch and somehow spent $70. I don’t have a huge appetite so it was pretty unreal. I ordered the salmon salad and the spicy salmon roll. I was disappointed to find that they both were made with ground salmon and not a fresh slice of fish. The salmon salad is just a plate with a little bit of ground salmon. I ended up asking for lettuce. I assumed it was like the pictured salad with lettuce and pieces of different types of fish. I had the shumai which were four little pieces the size of dice, they were good. And two steamed mussels. They were tasty but had a lot of crunch. I had two ahsihi with the whole meal and that jumped it up another $15. Also, they add their own gratuity. Overall, I didn’t feel like I got to eat any sushi and I paid way more than if I’d just gone next door to harvest market for a beer and some sushi. I won’t be back.

My favorite sushi place. Amazing quality sushi and for a very fair price. I always come here for their nigiri, and the best part is that their fish to rice ratio is perfect. Other all-you-can-eat sushi places purposely add a lot of rice to make you full quickly, but this place is very generous. Fish is also very fresh, and owners are friendly. In the first picture from top to bottom, I had a sunny roll, a bunch of nigiri: 6 tuna, 2 red snapper, 3 ika, 6 salmon, 2 scallop, 2 ikura, 1 surf clam, 3 tako. For my second round from top to bottom, 2 ika, 6 salmon, 4 scallop nigiri
I’ve seen past reviews that criticize their service, and although I do agree that it is on the slower side, you go to restaurants specifically for the food not the service. The staff are nice and eager to help when you need it.

TL;DR: Would recommend. We had a great time here!! The AYCE is $30/person, which is what we went with. For appetizers, we had the takoyaki and shumai, which were both delicious. We also got a small seaweed salad, which was good too. They’re pretty small, but it worked out considering we needed room for the amount of sushi we ordered haha. I don’t remember the names of all the sushi rolls we got, but we tried a lil bit of everything - eel, tuna, salmon, crab - and it was so tasty! They didn’t initially give us any ginger, but we requested some and they happily obliged. In terms of service, the place seemed to be only run by two people - a chef and a server. With this in mind and the amount of people in the restaurant, I felt like our service was just fine and the wait time was reasonable. Finally, they automatically included an 18% gratuity on the bill.

Mixed feelings about this place. Me and two friends did the “AYCE” dinner (only two rounds) for $30pp. The entrees were really yummy and we enjoyed the shrimp tempura, spring rolls, and gyoza, but I would not recommend the calamari. They forgot my miso soup, too. As for the sushi, they did a pretty good job with not filling the pieces with rice but the sushi wasn’t very flavorful. We got sashimi salad, the spicy kani, spicy salmon, and rainbow rolls- I can’t remember the other two. Overall, this place, with this quality at this price, I would not recommend.

Extremely disappointing experience. Please do know they automatically charge 18% gratuity fee without informing customers. They claimed that they have a notice sticker on the door but who will stare at a door to figure our how much gratitude fee they need to pay before entering the restaurant! This is super unreasonable and you only found out when you pay. If you are less cautious, you end up paying additional 30% of the price which you originally need to pay for the food. Every restaurant strive to survive here in Champaign but customer needs to be respected rather than blindsided. I will never go to this restaurant anymore.

From an Asian Asian point of view, the food is mediocre to bad. The worst part of our last visit was that the waiter didn't give us receipt with item details so we couldn't confirm if the sum of amount was correct. We intended to tip 15%. However, on the way walking out of the door, we saw the detailed receipt and realized the price on the receipt was already added a 18% tip. We ended up tipping 33% against our will. They could've given us the detailed receipt and let us decide. But they only gave us the receipt with an unreasonable amount of price which left us no clue what have they charged. You can have us pay you 33% tip this time for mediocre food and service but we'll NEVER visit this restaurant again! NEVER. Transparency is really the key when you communicate with customers.

Sad to write this review but unfortunately it’s how I feel. Food is awesome, that’s we keep coming, and have been coming for the past more than 15 years when was Canton. But Moki is build to be a take out machine and that’s how staff behave. They are efficient in this, but if you want to seat and eat there there is a different environment. Expect slow service and no service if you need assistance, they come to your table to order and to delivery your order, during the rest of the time staff is busy doing something and avoiding eye contact. Looks like there is no manager and the kids run the place as they can but without any basic knowledge about hospitality service, don’t get me wrong they are polite and work hard but got no training in table serving.
I’ll continue coming to eat because love the food, but damnn how I miss to feel welcome like Canton used to make me feel. 🥺

I went to all you can eat sushi on fairly slow Wednesday night. I ordered two rounds of sushi. I waited over an hour for the first round and about 45 minutes for the second. They also got the order wrong but at that point I had been there so long it wasn’t worth bringing up. They only had one person preparing sushi and one person serving. The server, despite being the only person on the floor, seemed to be in no hurry to do anything. The other costumers also seemed frustrated and just started talking to the chef and serving themselves. The sushi itself was fine and the restaurant is nice but it wasn’t worth the wait.

I hardly ever write negative reviews, but Moki Sushi has the worst service I have experienced. We ordered two rounds of food from the all you can eat menu and spent over 2 hours at the restaurant (about 50+ minutes between being served). We barely saw our server even to have waters refilled or soy sauce brought to us. There was no acknowledgement of long waits or of missing items from our order which was frustrating. Other tables were also experiencing very long waits, we even saw customers get up to refill their own waters at the bar or run their own food. The sushi itself is fine and the restaurant is clean and well-decorated, but having only two employees is not cutting it. We won't be back and it's a shame because the restaurant has potential, I hope they improve the service quality soon!

Sushi taste horrible. Any Asian buffet sushi bar surpasses their quality. I went there by myself for lunch and got charged 18% service fee!!! Will never come back again.

Food is great. Service is slow, especially around evening. Prepare to spend at least half an hour waiting for one entre.

Mediocre sushi and terrible service. We were one of 3 tables and the server didnt even bother to bring out silverwear or dishes for soy sauce in a timely manner. He also forgot my seaweed salad and then chastised me when I asked where it was (it came out after our rolls and my partner also had a salad that came at the correct time). The worst part is that they are auto charging an 18% gratuity for service we barely received. Will not return.

One of the best places to get quality sushi in town. The owner is extremely kind and we never leave hungry!

Waited for more than one hour without being served anything except two cups of water...They're busy finishing delivery orders without paying attention to dine in customers. Terrible service.

Terrible service, not a sanitary kitchen at ALL, and the food is nothing special.

Decent quality sushi, a bit pricey for the amount you get.

Their service was horrible. It took an hour to finally get our water, after two hours our server had been at our table a total of 3 times, and it took two and a half hours to get food. Their food isn’t bad, but the service is not worth the trip. Would recommend elsewhere. Hope this saves you guys time and money, cause the all you can eat is 30$

I WILL NEVER GO MOKI AGAIN, TERRIBLE..
This used to be my favorite sushi place in Champaign. We even supported them by ordering and picked food up during the pandemic locked down.
My recent experience was so terrible that I will not patronize any more.
I went to the restaurant and ordered All You Can Eat around 3pm. I ordered several sushi items knowing that it would take them a long time to prepare for customers.
I believe the owner served me and after appetizers and the sushi items, I asked the gentleman, if I could have another sushi menu to order. He brought the menu with frustration on his face and told that "THIS IS THE LAST ORDER!"
THIS WAS MY SECOND ORDER, so I asked him if he could repeat what he said, and he did.
I understand IF I ordered 10 times in one sitting, but What is the point of All you Can Eat, if they limit the order to 2 TIMES?
I was so frustrated that I asked for my check, right away. THEN, I SEE THAT THEY ADDED AN AUTOMATIC 20% TIP ON MY BILL. I paid the tip, so that the actual sushi chef could get the tip.
I WILL NEVER GO MOKI AGAIN, TERRIBLE...

Worst service ever. Came here with 3 friends and waited an hour an a half for 6 rolls. Did not even get appetizers we ordered either. Place was seriously understaffed, one waiter and one cook. Ended up paying 120 bucks for basically no food for four people. Stay away from this terrible terrible restaurant

Best sushi shop in West Auckland! If you are looking for a meal and you don’t have the time to order online in order to get served come here! Staff are very hard working and put value into your meal. They’re also really nice and kind. Would rate them more then 5 if was a choice! 🍱🍣🙌😋

There is signage when you walk in that there is an 18% gratuity automatically added to your ticket. Which we didn't mind since we usually tip 20%. My friend and I both ordered a sushi roll and shared the chicken teriyaki and tea for a drinks. When we got the check we were quite surprised the meal cost us over $50. There was only one server, which service was terrible. The only time the waiter actually tried to be nice to us was when he brought us the check. The food is very good, but will most likely not be back for that price and service which we are forced to pay 18% gratuity.

Food was good, however the service was not that good. I order a beer that it was listed with a price and then the waiter told the price was higher because it is a imported beer. Please fix this

If you want to fill yourself with ALL YOU CAN EAT, you have to wait at least 2 hours to eat food you order. Which means so slow with bad service. Additionally Awful food !!

I really enjoyed watching Train to Busan while waiting 2 hours to get our food which was serviceable at best
Never come here don’t waste your time

Waited 2 hours for sushi and the staff completely forgot about our appetizers. This place is very understaffed and takes a while for the food to come out. If you are willing to wait for semi quality sushi, you found the right place.

We were seated after waiting excited about the food which is amazing. We were in a servers wasteland. No one seemed to be waiting on us and we had to ask several times for items like plates, forks, soy sauce, water, etc. We love the food but will not be going back after the service we received last night. We are normally generous with our tipping especially during the pandemic, but last night we didn't feel anyone deserved a tip and were charged 18% for poor service.

The waiter was wonderful. We were there over 2 hours. The itamae was a total jerk. He said he couldn't make 2 of the ordered items so he just didn't make any of it. We ordered appetizers he didn't even make those. He was very rude to the waiter in front of all patrons.
It was all you could eat and they brought us 4 rolls at once after being there for 2 hours and insisted we eat it there. Wouldn't let us take it to go after being there that long.

The best part of this place was the $25.00 all you can eat and now it’s gone down hill- 18% gratuity bill plus overpriced drinks and SEVERELY UNDERSTAFFED means you’d be better off trying any other sushi place

It honestly became awkward how bad the service was. We sat for an hour before getting any food. My husband finally got his soup. But I didn’t get my salad. We waited and waited. No refills were ever given even though I had my glass at end of table. No one came by. We were not even looked at! If we weren’t so hungry it would have been almost comical. The place was not busy. We were one of 5 tables. I have no idea what was happening. Our bill totaled 63 dollars for 3 rolls, miso soup, a salad and two soft drinks. (Lunch service) They charged us 18% gratuity on just my hubby and me (our daughter is 16 months and wasn’t eating) Our drinks were 3 dollars a piece and we never got any refills. It was the weirdest experience and not a good one. Will never go back. The food wasn’t bad. But definitely not worth the hour and a half wait. Wth???? This is my glass at the end of the table the entire time. Even after food was delivered. Food was delivered by some random guy and plates were all sat at the end of the table for us to distribute. Glass was still ignored…

Good sushi with a bit of a wait but there's a worker shortage and supply shortage for everything. The wait is fine as long as you aren't an antisocial troglodyte and can appreciate the decor. Too many snobs in this town.

Waited 30 minutes to be seated then waited another 2 hours for our food. They are extremely short staffed. Only 1 waiter and 2 people in the kitchen. Tables were dirty, floors sticky, bathroom covered in dead bugs, rude waiter, and an automatic 18% charge for gratuity. The food was good but not worth 3 hrs and the price. Will not be coming here again....

Best sushi restaurant in the Champaign Urbana area. All you can eat but you can abuse it by over ordering. They change you a dollar per piece of sushi that you leave behind. Aside from sushi they have a huge selection of appetisers also all you can eat.

Came here last year and was amazing. This time it was very mixed. The food was still delicious but the place is horribly understaffed. While we were here it took us an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food after ordering while we saw other comes in, eat, and leave in that time. We never got water refills or soy sauce brought to our table. The food itself was delicious but some of order was missing when it finally came out. That's not as much of an issue as it is an all you can eat meal service style but still just added to the lopsided experience. Bottom line great food but the service was pretty atrocious with only one server covering everything and missing most of it.

Checked out this AYCE sushi spot with my cousin. We went at lunch and they were pretty slow, I'm surprised they were not more busy, I assume because of location most people don't know it's tucked away in the strip mall. Which is okay for me, less people so I can get my sushi faster. The meam was $25.99 but they included gratuity which came out to $33. I know it's not the cheapest option but it's All You Can Eat. Seafood is expensive and the restaurant industry has been hit hard, I'm more than happy to pay to eat out and be served. They also have a cocktail menu and serve beer so great for after work dinner and drinks. The service was friendly. The only downside was there was things on the menu that they no longer carried, I wish they took them off as to not disappoint guests. The sushi rolls also don't have descriptions on the buffet menu so you gotta look in the menu to see what's included, kinda tedious looking back and forth to see what's inside each roll. Overall a good experience and definitely recommend for big groups or picky eaters, something for everybody. But don't expect it to be cheap, this isn't dollar sushi. ;)

Absolutely worst service I have ever received. Waited for 45 minutes for the sever to take out sushi sheet while we watched several tables who came in after us not only have their sheet taken, but also received their food. We constantly had to ask for items multiple times such as refills, lemons, and straws. The server was always on her phone and never paid attention to the customers need. It’s absolutely pathetic that they add an 18% gratuity to every meal regardless of party size. They know they wouldn’t get tipped without it. 10/10 would not recommend this place

I’ll start by saying that no sushi in Champaign will blow you away. That being said, I also wouldn’t say that Moki is the best sushi offered in Champaign. However, I believe Moki is the best value sushi in Champaign, especially with their all you can eat option. The rolls aren’t awful or anything, but they are pretty middle of the road. The service is a bit inconsistent, I’ve had no problems sometimes, but I’ve also had times where I would be waiting for a waiter for quite a while. Overall, I would recommend, but don’t set your expectations too high.
