My first time here. Stopped by on a Sunday for AYCE sushi. Happy that I did. Sat myself at the sushi bar. Great service and delicious food!

This place is amazing! We went last weekend looking for an all you can eat sushi place open late Sunday night. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was top-notch—our server went above and beyond, offering fantastic suggestions that turned out to be some of our favorite dishes of the night. Our absolute favorite were the dragon rolls.

As if that wasn’t enough, they surprised us with two free single rolls to try, and let me tell you, they were absolutely delicious! It’s clear they genuinely care about their customers and want everyone to have a great experience.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We left not only full but also feeling appreciated as guests. This place has definitely earned a spot in our regular rotation, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!

My teenage kiddo LOVES sushi & we were so excited to try a new place (to us!) We were quickly seated and he was excited to start the AYCE. I think he ended up going through 3 rolls & a few Nigiri. So worth the AYCE Price.

What I like most about this restaurant is that if you aren't feeling like sushi, their dinner plates are AMAZING. From the soup to the fried rice, and my shrimp were booked perfectly. There's a little TV and the team was very friendly! They checked our table constantly on a busy Saturday night!

We will definitely be coming back! Thank You!

I visited the restaurant on a Sunday to enjoy their all-you-can-eat sushi. I was seated at the sushi bar and was very impressed with the quality and freshness of the sushi. I believe this establishment will become my preferred destination for all-you-can-eat sushi in the future. Godzilla roll on the left...Bogus roll on the right.

I called in an order for pickup. All four sushi rolls had dry rice, and did not taste fresh. I seriously question the integrity of the fish since I was throwing up all night.
I will not return and would not recommend.
I should have canceled my order when they asked to take my payment over the phone AND then said "so we'll see you in 5-10 minutes."

I always love coming here. My wife is super picky with sushi, and she loves several things on their menu. Plus, they provide a lot of non- spicy options that my wife can enjoy due to her allergies to peppers/chillies.

The service is always inviting and provide a warm welcome. They tend to their customers frequently without being overwhelming or overbearing. You can always find someone visiting that the staff knows which only adds to the feeling of being a local restaurant (not sure if this is a mom-and-pop-shop or not).

Personal recommendations are Ocean, Bogus, Caterpillar on the dinner venue, rainbow off the lunch is always a great option, and my preference is anything with Eel (which they have fantastic Eel, I've been to several sushi restaurants and this place is definitely one of the best). Their food is always on point and it's some of the freshest tasting I've had for an inland sushi restaurant.

Probably my favorite sushi place in Boise. The “Big Joe” and the “Small Joe” nigiri is the most perfect little bite of sushi you’ll ever have. Great prices for all you can eat too!

Sushi Experience №21

For regular sushi it's lacking. For all you can eat sushi it's pretty good. Very rice-heavy. We ordered a kids bento and a side of fried rice and both were great. The teriyaki chicken in the bento was really good. The spicy tuna roll was pretty thin but the tuna had a great spiciness. If you want decent sushi on a budget it'll work.

Great AYCE sushi in the Boise area. We love all the rolls. We were just visiting for a couple weeks and have eaten here twice since being here. Fresh Nigiri and Tamaki rolls. My kids love the shrimp tempura Maki rolls. If it's really busy and you order a lot, it can take a bit to get your food. Just remember that it's a small team and they are making your rolls as you order them.

The food is cheap, that's the upside. But it's pretty low caliber sushi. It's just made pretty sloppy and the rolls I got were so dry without any mayo on either of them like advertised.. got the wrong roll sent out too. But the unagi nigiri was good at least.

I’ve been here a few times now and it’s always been great. Never experienced anything less than great service from friendly people. Other reviews are right in that food comes out a little slowly on busy days, but I don’t expect a small operation to get food out in 30 seconds when they’re busy so I’m never bothered by it.

I wouldn’t recommend ordering from their website as it seems like you pick up from the restaurant but the order goes to their truck? Definitely seems to create some unnecessary confusion and an added wait time. But if you go in person, it’s always great!

Tasty, fresh sushi. All you can eat option is fairly priced. Only issue is the service, which is not good. We ordered 5 rolls, 2 hand rolls, and 5 orders of nagiri (which comes with 2 pieces each). We got 4 of our rolls and 3 orders of our nagiri pretty quickly as it was not busy and the server told said there was more coming. It wasn’t until we were finished with what she had brought that she asked us if we still wanted the rest of our order, which of course we did. It took an additional 45 minutes to for us to be brought the 1 roll, 2 hand rolls, and 1 order of nagiri (we never received the “special nagiri” we ordered) that we had ordered from the very beginning. Probably won’t be back based on our first experience here.

I have been here 3 times now, and I can honestly say they have some of the worst service I have ever experienced. I feel bad too because they are very nice people, but they just have terrible service. When you walk in they tell you to seat yourself and then won’t come to your table for 10 minutes even though they are just standing talking to each other. When they finally come to your table they act like they are doing you a favor and usually walk away before you finish talking. If you don’t order everything the first time around expect to wait 30 minutes before they acknowledge you again, often walking past people who are clearly in need of something. They forget what you order often, and if you ask them question about the menu they don’t seem to know the answer to anything about their menu. The food is good, but they put an absurd amount of rice on each roll. The first time I went their appetizers were included in the all you can eat price, as well as sashimi, the next time I go they are not included. The edamame is often undercooked and under salted.

Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant simply because of the service. The all you can eat prices are enticing, but if you want all you can eat I would recommend yoi tomo because they include the appetizers in the price.

Everything was so good, and my server never let me sit too long without more orders or drinks. The staff were all friendly, but unobtrusive, and made great recommendations when I hadn’t considered what I wanted next yet. Definitely try the special nigiri. All the tamaki I tried were great too.

Convenient chargers for the bench seating along the right wall. Definitely a new favorite spot.

Be careful and heads up...
As a chef for a long, long time; an alumnus of the Culinary Institute of America, opening GoodWood Barbecue here in Idaho and then spending 15 years at Saint Alphonsus RMC as the Executive Chef - one could say I'm not your average consumer and that's a fair statement.

Working closely with the CDHD over these last three decades, coupled with the intense strict adherence necessary to meet the obligations and the privelage to serve food as a professional, and through my knowledge of the ins and outs of healthcare and the intimate workings of food safety in that environment - yes... I have a scrutinous eye -it would be accurate to say - a 'granular' sense of detail when it comes to food handling.

That said - stating the facts in a non-emotional way is what my intentions are writing this review.

The biggest takeaway at Sushi Bros is not the foods quality but rather the lack of sanitation and the heavy presence of cross contamination.

All the cooks wore disposable gloves. So what's the problem Chef you might ask. Here's the issue. Besides touching the ready to eat foods and preparations the cooks also were open palm adjusting their pants up...regularly, touching their clothing and popping food into their mouths...and continuing the prepare food and handle everything from plates to squeeze bottles of sauce etc.

The main cook in the middle was letting the other two guys prepare the sushi while he laughed and conversed with another couple to his diagonal left. While doing so he took off his gloves - began running his bare hands back and forth over the blue cutting boards in front of him. He grabbed a new glove - one in each hand and clenched them in his closed fists. In a "bored drumming" style manner, he pounded his bare hands all over the cutting boards some more.
At one point he reached up and 'pinched-itched" his nose with his index, middle finger and thumb with his right hand. In food preparation these fingers are the main ones used for grabbing and manipulating. When an order came in he put the gloves he had been clenching in his hands on and prepared sushi rolls directly on the surface where he had been wiping, rubbing and pounding with his bare unwashed hands. You have to wash your hands and dry your hands between glove changes.

My cook was eating big mouthfuls of fried something whileins the food preparation area. You can not consume food or beverages in a food prep area...and of course he never changed his gloves either.

My last sanitation point is that, as it can be clearly seen in the picture, there is a remote control left directly on the food prep area. Not good and a major red flag.

I never saw any hand washing and lots of glove abuse and the gross towel used to wipe the cutting board by the middle guy was really in poor condition. A younger stocky built guy went into the food prep area with a huge head of bushy hair and no hair restraint.

Some food notes -
They were quick - it wasn't busy.
The sushi elements tasted good.
My Salmon Nigiri was room temperature warm. Tasted ok but not appealing.
My Yellow Tail Nigiri was well chilled and delicious.
I loved the Tempura Shrimp and the Tempura Crab - hit the spot.
One of my mussels contained a copious amount of sand. Not my favorite menu item.
The sweet sauce is a poor replacement for real Eel Soy sauce...it did the trick but the darker glazy Eel Soy sauce is much better in my opinion.
I asked the waitress (who was cordial) for a half refill on my soda - she looked at my cup - verbally repeated my request and never came back. She had to be handed my dirty dishes from my first round and never touched the table again for the pile of dishes that had accumulated. Again, they were not busy.

The food was in the end was decent - not polished - but filled me up... I just hope 8 hours from now I feel the same about it.

Dinner was $28.99 AYCE. Plus soda, tax, and gratuity $38.99.

I had the all all you can eat sushi here for my birthday. It truly was the worst sushi I’ve ever had. I’m sure many of their rolls are delicious. However, all of my rolls were made with cheap imitation crab, imitation lobster, and soggy rice. It was a challenge for me to eat. The only roll I liked was the basic spicy salmon.

The service was great. Very kind people. I just felt cheated with low quality ingredients and what felt like sloppy sushi.

I'm not sure if I went on an off day/evening or if it was just because it was the end of the day, but the rice ruined the experience. The rice was too sticky, and the sushi rolls had way too much rice. The fish was fresh and tasted great, and the service was good. I just had a hard time finishing two rolls because of the rice, when I normally can eat at least 4 rolls.

Went in for lunch, was not greeted (not a big deal) but the guy who took my order just stared at me until I asked for a menu. Ordered the Las Vegas roll and I've got to say it was hands down the worst sushi roll I've ever had anywhere, my roll was room temperature and the the salmon I received was slimy and brown.
Keep in mind it was not busy so there was no excuse for this other than a general lack of caring.
I will definitely not be returning and will be calling in for a refund.

Usually not a fan of sushi and the Vegas was alright but oh my lord the sunset was so amazing; lemon, crab, salmon, spicy, creamy, a bit of crispy from the tempura. Really blew me away. Staff is nice and attentive. New restaurant so it's a bit sparse on decoration, but was lively and the chefs were in great moods chatting with the people seated at the bar. Has all you can eat. We had Sushi Bros., Trustie, & his truck for my daughter's wedding. They were a hit. We heard nothing but rave reviews about their food. We started to run out of the prepared food, my husband told him to just keep making. He did just that. No one went hungry & people were completely happy. And surprisingly the bill was not outrageous. Trustie was happy with what he made & we were happy with what we paid.

We would highly, more than highly if possible, recommend Sushi Bros for a wedding or event.

My only suggestion is ask him to bring his truck to be able to keep preparing.

The sushi is superb! I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was very welcoming as well.
I did not give five star as I felt it could have been cleaner. The walls behind the tv were filthy and there were some flies zipping around. It just opened and was rather warm inside. The air could have been turned on a little earlier.
Accessibility wise, there is great handicap parking and it is close to the door. Two spots are on the side so you do not have to go out in the traffic. Smooth close ramps to the sidewalk. I used a walker with no problem. The inside is flat and open. A wheelchair would be fine. However, I did not use the bathrooms.

First time ever having sushi. I don't like fish (yes, it's weird for me to have sushi - I got the fish-free ones 😉 ), but the sushi I did get was fantastic! Atmosphere and servers were pleasant. It was expensive (10 bucks for 10 pieces or so) though I hear that's normal for sushi.

We were heading to go to our former favorite sushi and saw it was closed. Made the decision to try this place out and we couldn’t have been happier. Sushi was great, people were nice and the setting was bright and airy. We will be regulars here for date night.

Love it all here - heaven hamachi is the go to every time —👉 I retract my previous review as I have been to sushi bros the last 3 times and things have changed …,😩 they only have 1 server and if you order all you can eat it will take a long time to get your food . It literally took 45m to 1 hr . Then when they brought my nigiri the server said it was only have my order and they would bring the rest in a bit - 35min later I asked about it and no one knew anything - I only order 1 roll and 8 pc of nigiri and 3 pc tuna . But I still paid full price … btw it was not even busy maybe 4 tables , almost felt like the cooks were on strike and moving extra slow . I gave them 3 chances and since service has not changed I sadly say I will not be back …

We both got hair in our food. There was a couple inch long hair I found after I took a bite out of my tamaki hand roll. It looked cooked into the rice, told the staff to which they claimed I was trying to “get out of paying”. The other person with me inspected their food quite closely and noticed small ‘fuzzy’ hairs all over. I was incredibly embarrassed as they were accusing us of lying, I had never mentioned a comped or free meal. I’ve been here a few times and always get ayce and didn’t have an issue until now. I didn’t eat much at all and still paid for the meal. Please inspect your food before eating. It isn’t a clean environment.

Pretty good sushi for 30 dollars a person for all you can eat. I'd say it may be better than Yoi Tomo because no wait! :D

Top tier spot for the Bros! Me and my crew had a great time, sushi was creative and tasty. Watching the fight and eating way more than we should. The hibachi steak was amazing. I can't say enough good things about this place. Must have is the seared ahi and the quail egg shooter.

I ordered a “on the fly combo #4” where I was supposed to get four rolls and some sushi. I only got two rolls and none were what I ordered. They were fried and brown and looked like ground pork? I couldn’t eat any of them and just wasted $80. Real sad about it

I've ordered for pickup many times, and decided Lucky Peak was my favorite, but it's a little different EVERY time. Tonight's was the worst. I asked for extra lemon, paid for it, and it didn't happen. Many inside ingredients were missing, most importantly the jalapeno, and the cream cheese. My partner's shrimp/veg tempura was good, but only had two types of veggies, when there are usually more. I'm sure they know who we are by now since we order the same thing every time, and occasionally the jalapeno poppers, and I always tip for our pickup orders. If I want their sushi again, we decided we'll go in and sit down, and make sure it's prepared EXACTLY what their menu says. Island Sushi and Ramen is equally as close to us, so we need to check them out.

To summarize, our first order from Sushi Bros was good, and each subsequent order was missing more and more ingredients. So beware.

Yummy, plenty of choices for everyone and the all you can eat is a great choice for a date( if you both like sushi. We did not feel rushed and had enough space to enjoy our date. I recommend the nigiri (sear scallop, shrimp, tamago) the lunch Maki choices are a must try. Large pieces and great flavors.

Really good buffet, could be great with more options. More than 50% of the menu is full of philly cheese, Which I love, but in moderation, not in every single roll.

Some plus and minuses but mostly minuses. The quantity for price is not bad. I payed $40 delivered and it would have been enough for three. But the quality was poor. Imitation crab is unacceptable. I would have preferred 1/2 the amount with twice the quality. But my order is borderline inedible. I got through 1/4 of it then ate my side order of musubi which was... Meh. My dog likes the left overs, but nah, this ain't good sushi.

I really liked two of their rolls, the Godzilla and the Dragon. My son said he'd come back and bring his friends. But he'd stick with the rolls. It's not my kinda sushi. I like places that have uni and sweet shrimp. I really didn't care for the fresh water eel or scallops. It was kinda basic sushi overall. They did seem busy and some seemed like regulars. It just wasn't for me.

Pretty good sushi, and a variety of rolls, definitely could be a great sushi restaurant, they are slacking on the service portion. Both times we have gone there my order was wrong, rolls were missing that we ordered, and you have to flag down the guys making the sushi to grab the waitress. What really killed the experience is they add 4% to the prices on the receipt, then they offer a 4% cash discount. Just not a fan of a business doing that.

The staff is super friendly, personable, and great at remembering their customers. Highly recommend trying the Small Joe, it’s one of my favorites. They also have the option for soy paper which is an added bonus for myself.

Very friendly, great service and sushi was excellent. The teriyaki bowl had amazing flavor and the tempura vegetables were yummy. I felt like something was missing on the shrimp flavor but overall good size. Jalapeno poppers are so good. We are used to all you can eat including the appetizers so a little disappointed that it only included miso soup and that there was a lunch and dinner all you can eat ....dinner definitely had alot of the rolls we wanted.

4.2 Stars, Sushi Bros was pretty dam good. First time here, great selection for AYCE sushi. Perfect size nigiri, not huge rice balls that fill you up. Fish was tasty, and nicely prepared. The baked green mussels were the best I have ever had anywhere.... They were baked perfectly with the best sauce flavor ever. 😋

It was fine, not great but not bad. The two rolls I got were well wrapped but maybe too much as the rice was "gummy". The sauces were good and the fish was fine. The service was a bit slow and aloof, I wanted a to go order and waited about 10 min before they would take my order and another 15-20 I got my food so if you want to go order ahead. The atmosphere was fine, nothing special and a little sparse. The shop is small and kind of barren, not really much there to draw you in to stay and with the cheap splintery chopsticks I'd rather eat at home with my nice ones anyway. Overall not bad the sushi was fine, but I'm not sure if I rate it any better than Albertsons sush.

Not only is the food incredibly fresh and well made, but the service there is FANTASTIC. All-you-can-eat pricing is great ($21.99 for lunch and $28.99 for dinner) and in a world where everything gets more expensive by the day, Shushi Bros offer a 4% discount for cash so that they (and really, you) dont have to pay the credit card companies. If you want to know all about my experience with the food and staff, keep reading.
I don't know what I was happier with, the food or the service. Let's start with the food.
The food was EXTREMELY fresh. The ratio of meat to rice was wonderful. No razor thin slices of salmon here. They take care of their customers.
The menu was interesting and inventive while still having the sashimi, nigiri that you have come to expect from a quality sushi restaurant. The flavors were rich and bright (I recommend the "Small Joe" and have them add lemon. You won't be disappointed!).
The service-
Sushi Chef Etson was kind, friendly, and happy to help clarify when I had a question about ANYTHING. He, and all of the chefs were fast and efficient and EVERYTHING came out beautifully presented and looking like a work of art (see pics).
Imiko from the wait staff was kind, friendly and attentive. She checked on us regularly and kept our glasses full. This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end and we will DEFINITELY be back again.
