Omakase Table is an intimate omakase dining experience in West Midtown. Our fish is sourced directly from Toyosu Fish Market in Tokyo to ensure the highest quality sushi possible. We boldly season our Niigata prefecture koshihikari rice with aged red vinegar to achieve a perfect flavor harmony between the fish and rice.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Omakase Table, a high-end omakase restaurant known for its meticulous attention to detail and the chef’s creative interpretation of traditional Japanese cuisine. From start to finish, it was a sublime experience that exceeded my expectations.
The restaurant offers an intimate and serene setting, with limited seats at the counter, allowing for a personalized experience. The minimalistic décor, featuring soft lighting and warm wooden tones, created a calm and elegant atmosphere, perfect for savoring each dish.
The service was impeccable. Chef Leo himself curated the evening, explaining each course with precision and passion. He was attentive to dietary preferences and ensured that every guest felt welcomed and engaged throughout the meal. The servers were equally professional, ensuring that drinks were topped up and plates were cleared without any interruption to the experience.
Every dish was presented beautifully, almost like a piece of art. From the intricate garnishes to the handcrafted ceramic plates, the attention to detail was remarkable.
Omakase Table offers one of the best omakase experiences I’ve ever had. If you’re a sushi enthusiast or simply looking to celebrate a special occasion, I highly recommend this place. It’s a dining experience that stays with you long after the meal ends.

Really excellent and innovative omakase. Great selection of fish, high quality across the board, new and unique plating and food combinations. The service was excellent from both the sushi chef and the wait staff and sommelier. Had an awesome sake pairing. If I had one food and beverage criticism, it’s that they need to improve their weak non-sake wine selection. No Michelin-star restaurant should be serving Cakebread Sauv Blanc, Austin Hope Cab, and entry-level Trimbach Riesling as their core red and white selections. Also, they should be comping parking, which was $25 in what is essentially a captive lot. Otherwise, an excellent experience!

We had a wonderful experience here. The dishes were one of the more innovative I have experienced in an omakase. I think the one Michelin star was well earned
The staff was friendly, the attentive and efficient. The dining room was bright versus dark, giving traditional Japanese sushi bar feel.
If I could make two changes: The rice proportion in some of the nigiri were too much. The explanation of some of the items felt too robotically scripted. Finally, wish they offered A5 perfecture beef.

Highest quality sushi on par with any of the high-end omakase spots in Atlanta. Chef Leonard is a master of his craft, and it shows.
The ambiance is very relaxed and friendly. Quiet and inviting, the chef takes time to establish a dialogue with each customer. Staff is extremely professional, taking your empty dishes away, but not in an overbearing manner.
The food is top-notch. Unique sushi rice and expertly prepared ngiri and small dishes. He has multiple types and qualities of uni which he allows guests to sample as part of the menu.
For omakase, this place hits all the same marks as mujo or hayakawa, but for 100-200$ less per person. You will not be disappointed in the atmosphere, quality, or service.

Where do I even begin?? The BEST Omakase in Atlanta, hands down. In Japan, I've tried several omakase experiences and so much sushi, so it's safe to say, Omakase Table does NOT disappoint.
The service from chefs and staff is impeccable, genuine, and spot on. The ambiance is elevated yet comforting, very much like being invited to a warm family meal at a friend's house.
The smallest touches of personality is what differentiates this from other omakase experiences. If you look closely, there's cat figures hidden among the room, every chopstick holder is uniquely different, and my favorite detail is your personal Polaroid picture taken at the end of the meal.
From the bottom of my heart, thank you Omakase Table!

This has been our favorite omakase out of all time — and we have had many including few times in Japan! Gigi and chef Paul have been absolutely amazing. Food was phenomenal and so fresh. I am usually very sensitive with fishy taste but it’s been cured and presented in a way that I actually loved every single piece.
Gigi has been wonderful and was a huge part of our experience. From the welcome to the end of omakase, she didn’t miss a beat on what we needed at any given moment and explained every element of the omakase throughly and so professionally. She and Chef Paul were such a great team.
So happy we have a great omakase like this in Atlanta and can’t wait to be back soon for another date night soon.

WOW. Where do I even start?
Food:
There was not a bite that we did not think was absolutely out of this world. All of the fish was incredibly fresh, sliced to the perfect thickness, served at the perfect temperature, and combined with creative and unique compliments. One dish had thinly shaved freeze dried strawberries that added a touch of acidity that I loved. The caviar was of the highest quality, and was supper fatty and nutty. I was very impressed with the special uni tasting. 10/10
Service:
They are knowledgeable about the dishes, techniques and reasoning behind the recommended mode of eating to experience the intended flavor. The service is outstanding. Knowledgable staff and attentive without being over-bearing. The perfect balance.
All other elements I give a 10/10, ambience, etc. Very intimate and exclusive.
I want to give a special review for Chef Yang who was one of the chefs handling our meal. Everything was executed with such precision and passion. You could see by the smile on her face and look in her eyes that she was very proud of what she was creating and was confident we were about to be blown away. I loved the technique she was using while creating the nigiri. It was very graceful like a dance. She kept a very clean station as she worked and maintained a clean appearance herself. 10/10
It was my birthday and the menu had the date and happy birthday on it which I could take home as a souvenir, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be going back every few months. Everything is in the details and I could go on and list many more but I would like to leave some as a surprise. 😉

Journey of Flavors and Artistry
Dining at the omakase table was nothing short of magical. From the moment we were seated, we knew we were in for an extraordinary experience. The chef’s expertise was on full display, as each dish was crafted with meticulous attention to detail, transforming simple ingredients into works of art.
The progression of flavors was perfectly balanced, starting with light, delicate cuts of sashimi that melted in our mouths, and gradually building up to richer, more complex bites. Every dish was a surprise, and the chef’s choice selection meant we experienced unique combinations and textures we’d never have thought to order on our own.
What set this omakase apart was the chef’s personal touch. He shared insights on the sourcing of ingredients and the inspiration behind each course, adding a deeper appreciation to every bite. The uni was divine—creamy and briny with just the right hint of sweetness—and the tuna belly? It was like butter.
The service was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our sake was always topped off and that each dish was served at the perfect temperature and timing. The intimate setting of the omakase table made it feel like a private show, where every moment was crafted to elevate our experience.
If you’re looking for a dining experience that goes beyond a meal and becomes a memory, the omakase table is an absolute must. We left not only feeling full but truly inspired by the artistry of Japanese cuisine.

Best meal we've had in Atlanta. Phenomenally good food and service without being stuffy. As amazing as the food is (and it's incredible), the service deserves special mention; this is 3 Michelin star level service. The meal is expensive, but you get what you pay for here, and more. Can't recommend this place enough.

Service - Exemplary, especially the GM Kasey. He was super helpful and gave us recommendations of other restaurants in the area to try.
Atmosphere - The attention to detail in the restaurant was obvious. Everything from the ambiance, to the place settings, to the bathroom was meticulous.

Great omakase experience. On par with other omakase spots in the city which are much harder to get a table for. This is the perfect place to go if you are looking to book a special dinner last moment as you can usually get seats here without much planning.
Having tried most of the high end omakase spots in the city, I think this place has the best rice and the best restrooms of any of the spots I have visited.
The service is amazing. The fish is top quality as well. When we went the menu featured an uni tasting which can be a bit polarizing. I would have loved to see some other options for this part of the menu.
The nigiri selections were spectacular but I wish the pieces would have contained a little more rice. Especially since the rice was so good. After the 20 course meal I was still fairly hungry and ordered a couple more pieces of nigiri. I don't think this would have been necessary had the pieces been as big as the ones served at Mujo or Hayakawa.
The ice cream with soy sauce was transcendental.
Overall a really nice spot.

I’m a sushi lover and chase sushi experiences all over the world - and it’s hard to believe that right here in Atlanta Omakase Table might be one of the top 3-5 experiences I’ve ver had (and I’ve been to Jiro’s in Tokyo).
I should have thought to do this review immediately after our dinner so I could share more details but the unique methods and flavors with every course, as well as so many details including antique dishware, created an elevated and memorable experience that will forever stand out.
This is definitely a place worthy of special occasions, as well as just a destination for those that truly appreciate great sushi.

THE BEST sushi of my life. Service was unmatched. The menu was so unique and delicious. Everything about this restaurant was incredible. If you are looking for the best omakase experience in Atlanta, this is it. The menu is not affordable by most standards. But this is a special treat that everyone should try at least once in their lives! Took my mom here for Mother’s Day and we had the most incredible time. Between the excellent sake suggestions and the masterfully crafted nigiri, there is no better special night out than Omakase Table!

We celebrated my husband’s birthday here, and wow, it was incredible. Dare I say, not to name names, it topped other high end omakase resturants in the area by a mile. We’ve tried many levels of omakase around Atlanta, and this place stood out the most to us. I never write reviews, but I felt very compelled to do so after visiting omakase table. Every detail was well thought out, the service was fantastic, and the quality was incredible. They had enough adventurous items to make it interesting, and we liked how focused they were on the quality of crowd pleasers like toro, uni, and more. They struck the perfect balance between adventurous and things you crave and hope for at every omakase experience. Our chef, Tanner, was extremely knowledgeable and engaging, which was very nice. It was truly a hands-on experience, and we walked away with new knowledge, which is a great plus. The service was impeccable - there was never a moment we were not taken care of in the highest fashion. I also found the staff much more approachable here than other high end omakase experiences in town. There was no air of superiority - just passionate people executing their craft for those to enjoy. You can certainly break the bank here, but you can also do a nice experience at a more reasonable cost too. In birthday fashion, we did the wine and sake pairing, along with an uni add on. Both were excellent!! I would highly recommend this as the best omakase in town. This resturant deserves to be part of the Atlanta Michelin conversation more than anywhere we’ve visited - it was absolutely incredible.

Chef Yang made the whole experience. She was very informative and personal. I had a lot of fun watching her prepare everything in front of me. I'm glad I got seated in her section. ❤️
Food was amazing. My favorite was the unagi rice with fatty tuna and I could eat a bowl of the chawamushi if they would let me.

While the service was absolutely incredible, the food itself was so repetitive. I understand it’s a deconstructed sushi experience, but for how much you spend for it, I was hoping for some more variety. Don’t get me wrong, the fish was VERY fresh, and it’s so cool how they prepare every piece in front of you.
At first we were enjoying it, but by the 14th course of fish, we had had enough. Also, our entire party got sick throughout the night and next day. It’s just a LOT of fish. So if you’re ready for it and like that, go ahead, but for the price, we would rather go to Bacchanalia for prix fixe menu. We won’t be back.

I’m still thinking about my experience at Omakase Table. The quality of the seafood, and then it’s thoughtful preparation, was outstanding. How the menu flowed, the sake pairing, and how the unique qualities of each fish was brought out showed the expertise and creativity of Chef and the staff. The intimate dining experience allowed us food lovers to ask Chef and the staff questions, which they graciously obliged. It was a special night—thank you all!

Our culinary journey at the Omakase Table was nothing short of extraordinary. Chef Yu's 20-course Omakase menu was a symphony of flavors, each dish meticulously crafted to perfection. From the delicate sashimi to the intricately prepared nigiri and the tantalizing Hokkaido uni tasting, every bite was a testament to culinary mastery and artistry.
Accompanying our meal were 7 sake pairings curated from IWA's exclusive collection—a testament to the harmonious relationship between food and drink. Each sip enhanced the flavors of the dishes, elevating the dining experience to new heights.
As we savored each exquisite dish, we had the privilege of dining with Richard Geoffroy, the Founder-Maker himself, whose unwavering dedication to culinary craftsmanship added an extra dimension to our evening.
About Richard Geoffroy:
Hailing from the Champagne region, Richard Geoffroy spent 28 illustrious years as the Chef de Cave of Dom Pérignon, shaping the legacy of this iconic wine. His deep-rooted admiration for Japan and its culture inspired him to embark on a new journey in 2019—to revolutionize the world of sake with his expertise and passion.

This was a wonderful experience. The food? Excellent!! But what really made this dinner for me was the staff and the attention to detail. For example, when you leave to go to the bathroom, someone will come and shift your chair in a way where it’s easier for you to sit when you return from the restroom. They do this no matter how many times you get up to go. There are cute little cat trinkets throughout the restaurant if you pay attention 🐱. You should ask them why, the answer will melt your heart. Additionally, the description of the dishes along with an explanation of where the fish was sourced from and how long it may take for an order to come in was so meaningful and I felt so honored. I recall one of the fish they order takes 3 MONTHS to fulfill!!! One word: decadent 🤌. These are just a few examples of the subtle details they implement to enhance the over all experience.
I had two different drinks. I had the strawberry sake. I absolutely loved it. It’s definitely sweet, but they use real strawberries. If you’re not into sweet sake, the staff can help you choose an option more to your taste and their opinions were spot on for me. I’m not a whiskey drinker, so they suggested a beginner whiskey (Umai) as my second drink and I was so surprised with how much I enjoyed it. It had a wonderful flavor and wasn’t nearly as viscous as American whiskey.
My favorite? Honestly, it was a tie between the Uni tasting and the Tokujo Uni. I love Uni and their Uni dishes brought me so much joy. I made sure to take a moment to savor the flavor and the texture. This of course is just my preference. Every thing, truly, was delicious.
This was the first time I’ve ever experienced an Omakase dinner. It was everything I hoped for and more. My heart and belly (lol) are so full. Please try this place, it’s wonderful.

This completes our Westside Omakase Trifecta (Mujo, Hayakawa, Omakase Table) and they all deserve 5 stars. Omakase tables food may be the best (especially the Nigiri, which blends classic with gourmet and some combos I’d never had before). The service, beverage (sake options are amazing, if not expensive) and overall experience is hard to beat. Special thanks to GM Jenna for taking great care of us!
The other two locations have a Michelin stars, which they deserve, but Omakase table is just as deserving.

Having recently returned from a culinary tour of Japan, my wife and I were excited to have our first experience at Omakase Table. Chef Yu did not disappoint. Chef Yu and his entire staff were warm and inviting. The ambiance was refined yet comfortable. The progression of the omakase was fantastic. The quality of his rice as well as fish was superb. Each course was meticulously prepared, but never fussy. The sake pairing was a revelation and is not to be missed. Having been to many Michelin star restaurants, there is no doubt that Omakase Table deserves one as well.

Celebrated my birthday this evening with Omakase table. It was our first Omakase experience (my husband & I). From when we walked through the door until the very last interaction everything was nothing short of amazing.
The establishment is clean, modern, sleek and the chairs were super comfortable. I also loved the metal hooks at the bar for my bag. The restroom was also clean and modern.
The servers were friendly and attentive and made the dining experience intimate and enjoyable.
Chef Yu and his staff were again.. amazing. Professional, Experienced, and Knowledgeable. He worked quickly but did not rush. His attention to detail does not go unnoticed and he would allow me to take pictures excitedly as he would hand the next course to me. Very thoughtful and patient.
I have no words for the dishes but it was an experience. First, the presentation was WOW. Each bite was fresh, flavorful, and well thought out. The otoro, ikura, and waygu were my favorite's although it's hard to choose. If you are thinking about Omakase.. dine with Chef Yu it's worth it.

It’s difficult to put the entire experience into words because everything was spectacular. The food was to. die. for. There was nothing that was even remotely “meh.” Even bite was an adventure. Chef was so friendly, knowledgeable, talented, and explained his process and gave background info on the food, from the fish to the rice and it was fascinating. The service was exemplary. As in, you’d get up and go to the restroom and came back to your napkin folded back up perfectly. If I took a few sips of my water, it was filled up again before I knew it. Staff was knowledgeable on sakes and the dishes as well. Yes, it’s pricey, so it’s a super-special-occasion meal for most, but it was worth every dime IMO. This wasn’t a meal, it was a journey and an experience of a lifetime. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

My husband and I had an exceptional dinner at Omakase Table for our anniversary. We loved watching Chef Tanner work and he was so gracious and friendly. Jenna is an absolute gem. Her passion for sake is delightful. Joe was attentive to our needs and took good care of us. The rest of the hospitality staff was wonderful as well!
The atmosphere was relaxed, with a beautiful warmth to it. It felt special without the pretentiousness. The music level was just right. The beautiful serving dishes and glassware played off the white countertop like paint on a blank canvas.
What can I say about the food? I will admit to being an omakase novice. Getting high-quality or even quality sushi OTP is, as you can expect, nonexistent. So, my expectations were guarded by the very low bar set by my other experiences. There was nothing, absolutely nothing, on our tasting menu at Omakase Table that was not delicious. The meticulous preparation and level of detail to the layers and depth of flavors came through in every bite. I fear I might be ruined forever, as only this level of omakase will ever measure up! Thank you, Chef Yu, Tanner, Jenna, Joe, and the rest of the Omakase Table team for an absolutely joyful experience!

I know all the reviews are of high 5-star, but if this is the top level of omakase in Atlanta, I would say it makes people disappointed. Hope we get more choices in Georgia.
The bar is compact. We got reservation a month before but got postponed for half an hour on the day we go.
The service is ‘hospitality-speaking’ unprofessional, just for example, no ice for the ice water request, give us other people’s birthday menu for my friend’s birthday with wrong date on it.
For the food, recommend caviar and Hakkaido uni.

I’ve been following Chef Leo around for quite some time now. Having his omakase countless times, his attention to detail with the combination of quality of fish is top tier. Definitely one of my go-to sushi places. Never gets old. His team does a great job with service every time and never disappoints.

This review comes down to value. We wanted to love it and support another Atlanta high-end restaurant taking the national scene by storm... but just can't get there this time.
Omakase Table is priced as a premium destination (over $600 for two), and isn't quite there yet. The ambiance is nice and intimate. The food is tasty, but does not reach the heights needed to justify the price point, as several dishes landed a little flat. We've been to omakase in Manhattan and Tokyo at a similar price , and Omakase Table's food is very much a notch below. Our server was great, but our chef, while a nice guy, was barely audible and didn't seem to enjoy the information sharing element of his job as much as different chefs assisting other diners.

It was truly the highest degree of excellence either of us have experience in dining. The attention to detail and hospitality was so incredibly high that both of us felt a little emotional about it during the night. The staff was so kind, chef was unpretentious and very kind, and the food was amazing and unique. Thank you all for a special night for us.

The omakase prepared by Chef Leonard was the best I ever had. The dishes were all amazing and the ingredients were of the highest quality. I went with my boyfriend and his friends for his birthday and everyone loved the entire experience. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxing. The presentation of everything was very well done. The staff were also very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. I especially loved the tea they had.
Turns out I am allergic to uni, but honestly with how amazingly he had prepared everything and the taste alone makes me want to eat the uni dishes again. I highly recommend this omakase above any other one!

Entirely the best dining experience of my life so far. My partner and I went for my birthday, and the service and cuisine are more than worth the expense. But what's more, the atmosphere is sophisticated, yet comfortable. The hosts didn't make us feel uptight or self-conscious, and were warm and friendly so we felt completely relaxed and welcome. Chef Yu is clearly a master and works impeccably with his staff. And the food is beyond my ability to do justice! Please do yourself a favor and make this your next special occasion - because it is indeed special!

One of the few restaurants in Atlanta worthy of a Michelin star, truly. We tried the 20-course Omakase and the service, experience and quality of the food were impeccable. Chef Leonard takes his craft to the highest level. Highly recommend!

I recently went in for the 20-course Omakase. From the moment we walked in, the service was attentive and impeccable. A server/manager gave us an introduction to each special ingredient, while the chef shared the origin of the fish and the meticulous preparation techniques. It feels like a culinary journey and was definitely a memorable and immersive dining experience.

Chef Yu & Staff were amazing. My first experience and I did not know what to expect. At the end of it, it surpassed all of my expectations. Jazz playing in the background, BYOB, with Chef Yu explaining everything, it was the perfect dinner. The food was light, very tasty and enough servings to keep you filled but not stuffed.

A feast that truly deserves the 5* reviews. From service to the chef’s knife work to plating to food quality - each course is impressive. This meal is a full on experience. Super fresh, high quality ingredients prepared well. It’s hard to pick a favorite course as there were a few blissful bites.
Parking is in the garage entrance off Marietta ($5 for 2 hours).
Shout out to Jenna and TJ for taking great care of us and Chef for entertaining us throughout the meal.

This restaurant was my first ever omakase experience and it certainly set a high bar. Not only was the food delicious, but our chef and servers were so nice and attentive. My partner asked a question about the bowls and the server went out of her way to go to the kitchen to show us examples of what she was talking about! We also had a nice conversation with our chef while he was working which was lovely.
The appetizers were really interesting and presented beautifully. When we got to the nigiri course it was fascinating to watch the chef prepare each piece. My favorite piece was the fatty tuna. This actually introduced me to that cut of fish and I now seek it out whenever I get sushi.

My wife and I celebrated my birthday on a Sunday evening at Omakase Table. We almost did not make our reservation time at 5:00 p.m. because of the awful Atlanta traffic but that is a story for another day.
When you walk into the restaurant there are seats around a rectangular table. There were three sushi chefs including Executive Chef, Leonard Yu. Another sushi chef prepared and served our meal. We are told that the menus vary season to season (e.g. winter, spring, summer and fall) and there are more subtle changes to the menu each day dinner is served. We made reservations for a 20-course meal. We brought our own Sake as there is currently no alcoholic beverages served. We were treated to six different appetizers before the Nigiri part of the meal was served.
The entire menu - as we are told by one of the waiters - is designed to provide you with different textures, tastes, and flavors with each separate course. My favorite appetizer was Hotate, Hotaru Ika, and Komochi Yari-Ika, which are scallop from Hokkaido (almost all of the seafood and fish you eat is shipped from Japan), firefly quid from Toyama Bay with black truffle, and female spear squid with its own egg. Each bite was exquisite. But that is just my opinion as everyone has their own opinion as to what tastes good to them. My least favorite appetizer was Tarabagani Corn Potage which is red king crab Japanese corn soup with Ossetra caviar. I know the contents of this dish sound mouth- watering but it was not one of my favorite dishes. On a scale of 1 to 10 - with 10 being incredibly delicious - the soup was a 7.5 or 8. In contrast, my favorite described appetizer is definitely a 10 plus.
I would add that when you are served each appetizer the sushi chef will or waiter will give a detailed description of each dish, its contents, and any other information you may want to know about the dish. There are several waiters and waitresses at the restaurant who are incredibly attentive and treat you royally. Service is first rate.
For the Nigiri portion of the meal, it is fascinating to watch the sushi chef made each delicate piece. The sushi chef prepares the sliced fish before the meal begins and then assembles each piece of fish with rice, wasabi and other ingredients. It is difficult to say which piece of Nigiri I liked the most. Suffice it to say that virtually each piece melted in my mouth. Each piece was a flavor bomb in my mouth. And each piece was probably from a fish that you had not eaten before except for perhaps the lean and fatty tuna. I had never eaten Nigiri from striped bass, red amberjack, alfonsino, blackthroat seapearch, spotted knifejaw and cockle before this culinary delight. I definitely loved the Handroll of chopped fatty tuna with scallions. Towards the end of the meal our waiter offered to provide us with additional pieces of Nigiri - for an added cost of course - which you can choose from the menu. We ordered Spanish mackerel that was superb.
By the end of meal and after eating dessert, my wife and I were quite full. In total, we spent about one and three-quarter hours at the restaurant. It is an unique gastronomical experience. It is an expensive indulgence and gratification to say the least. I would urge you to put this foody experience on your bucket list..

Best Omakase in Atlanta!!!
Every one of the 20 courses were absolutely incredible. The caviar tasting and the uni tasting really set the tone for the rest of the meal. I lovee Uni! This uni was the best I’ve ever had!! Leo and his team are unmatched, the quality of the ingredients and there incredible service. The menu keeps evolving and changing so you always get something a little different every time you experience Leo’s Omakase Table. Can not wait to keep returning with more family and friends :)

The best omakase/sushi experience I’ve had in Atlanta! Chef Leonard Yu was welcoming, friendly, and his ability to bring out great flavors in the fish he serves was exemplary. The Otoro was aged to perfection! The 3 different types of Uni served as one course was incredible. Every dish that was placed in front of us was aesthetically amazing and the flavor was even better! This was our first time dining here, but hopefully not the last as the menu is always changing. Thanks to Chef Yu and his team, and anyone considering eating here should book immediately!

I was seated at the far corner so I did not have time to talk to a main chef. Good edomae style. Shari was good, koshihikari blend and red vinegar, my personal preference was little lighter vinegar taste. Appetizers courses in the beginning. Then nigiri. I am not a fan of Mexican farm raised tune, but tachiuo and kawahagi were good. I wish there are more hikarimoro like kohada and iwashi. Ikura chawanmushi was very good and enjoyed. I will come back here again to try different dishes when I am back to Atlanta.

Last night we attended the new location over in W. Marietta.
We brought one bottle of white wine and one bottle of red to share with our group.
It was an amazing and intimate dinner by Chef Yu and all the staff. Jenna was so informative on all the information about the style of fish, origin, season and preparation. Any questions we had she was able to answer. I even went as far as asking where they got their beautiful plates and bowls and I was very impressed to know a lot of them were vintage or vintage inspired as early as 1940s hand painted in Japan.
The entire menu was designed beautifully from taste flavor and all. Every fish they chose was truly fantastic. For those who
Love the artistry of Omakase this would be a great experience. It is definitely on my top list in Atlanta.
Some menu highlights were the uni tasting, steamed custard with salmon roe, filefish nigiri, sharkskin sole with engawa, seiko gani nigiri & negotoro hand roll.

Top tier food and hospitality. We do omakase at least 1-2 times every year, have done omakase across North America, West Europe and Japan. Chef Leonard's omakase is outstanding; the produce he uses shines all on its own, and he makes inspired choices when and how to accompany it with other flavors and textures. For example, a nigiri of roughskin sole is served with its fin on top, and we were surprised at how the fin part just melted away in our mouths. I especially loved how he used uni - at first as an uni rice accompaniment to blackthroat seaperch, and then the uni pieces served as nigiri.
We also appreciated the sake recommendations and tastings, so we could sample chef's suggestion, as well as some funkier, more intense styles.
Chef Leonard is a consummate host as well as chef and is chatty about his work, produce, and his impressive sushi knife collection.

Wow what an amazing dining experience and food and drinks! I love Japanese food and have been searching for a minute for an experience like this. Chef Leonard was so accommodating throughout the booking and for me rebooking process. The experience was very unique and felt like a chefs table/intimate dining experience. Aside from delicious food, the educational aspects of the dining experience by the staff and chef was very awesome. My favorite part besides the food was seeing the fresh wasabi being made and also Observing the chefs methods for preparing different pieces. This experience also helped turn my stance on uni, the uni was the most buttery uni I ever had! I’d recommend this experience ten times over !

This is hands down one of the best omakase experiences in Atlanta. Chef Yu and Sophia provide a thoughtfully curated progressive omakase experience. All the dishes were well executed, beautifully plated, and most importantly, were delicious. We had the 15 course meal and enjoyed every single course. We added on some of the sake offerings and Sophia did an amazing job making recommendations for what sake to enjoy with the meal. We hope to come back soon to experience the 20 course meal. If you are seeking a great culinary experience, then I highly recommend joining Chef Yu and Sophia for this sushi journey. They go to great lengths to ensure that the service is excellent and that each diner is well attended to. I especially appreciated that the omakase bar was separate from the rest of the diners, so that we could thoroughly enjoy our experience. This was an amazing meal and I look forward to joining them again soon!

Chef Yu and Sophia are very knowledgeable about all their products and thoughtfully handpicked everything to create a memorable experience. The fish melts into your mouth like a dream and takes you on a mini-tour around the world. Their menu often changes as we tried fish and other delicacies from different parts of the world such as Japan, New Zealand, France, and more. This is hard to say...But might be the best dinner I've EVER had. The presentation, quality, and service is outstanding. It's basically a sushi speakeasy. Just go. Just go! Amazing.

So for starters, this was our first dine in experience since COVID started. The omakase experience itself was spectacular and serves as a fantastic reintroduction to Atlanta's restaurant scene.
When you enter the restaurant, you'll need to specify you are having the omakase dinner. They'll redirect you to the seating area in the other dining room. Upon seating down, there will be a drink menu already prepared for you. The custom menu covers a wide range of options (beer, sake, etc.) and prices ($-$$$). After that, the experience begins.
We have been to a few omakases before, one in Japan's Toyosu Fish Market and Sushi Nakazawa in New York. Those were amazing and unique in their own way, but Chef Leo’s presentation and exceptional taste stands out. While the other places were focused on natural flavors, Chef Leo's specialty is emphasizing the unique features of each fish. As absurd as it may sound, we believe that he may have delivered one of the most quintessential experiences of each fish we had that evening.
We had the 20 course omakase, and I would have to say this has been my favorite omakase experience. At about 2 hours, the meal was paced extremely well giving us time to savor each and every dish. The course begins with light dishes that work your palate and ends with mouth watering nigiri that delights your senses. We are definitely going to return for the seasonal omakase.
To cap this off, I also want to mention that there was an issue at the restaurant that no one could have accounted for, rowdy guests. Although he didn't have to, Chef Leo went above and beyond to compensate us for what he thought had a deleterious effect our experience.
All-in-all, the Chef Leo omakase experience had exceptional service that we truly appreciate. Do not hesitate if you plan on booking a reservation soon!

I haven’t been to an omakase since COVID hit and this was an AMAZING one to re-start with. Chef Leonard and his staff are absolute gems. The food itself is intricately crafted and every course was delicious. Each piece of fish was so fresh. The portions were also super generous and we left feeling so full and happy. On top of the impeccable meal though all of the little details were great. We got a curated sake list (meant to pair with the meal), both the chef and the waitress gave tons of interesting background on each course and service was excellent the whole time. Finally, I really appreciated that the omakase section is separated from the rest of the restaurant with partitions and has its own entrance. Totally worth the price - choose this place for your next special occasion!

Omakase Table was by far the best sushi / omakase I have had in Atlanta and rivals the omakase experiences I have had in NYC. Chef does a fantastic job highlighting the fish while adding some unique flavors. We had the 20 piece tasting and it was definitely worth every penny. Some of our favorite pieces included the sardine, roughskin sole with fin, ocean trout from Scotland, wagyu with caviar, ice cream with soy sauce, and a few of the dishes at the beginning of the meal. The hostess was great as well, was very attentive, and was able to provide great recommendations for the sake. Can't wait to go back!

Chef Yu’s omakase experience was unforgettable. The quality of the fish were amazing and all so fresh. I was completed stuffed after having 21 courses with a chef Yu. The highlights for me:
-Wagyu A5 with Caviar
-Hirami
-O-toro
-Tokujo Uni
-Akami
-Iwashi
-Hotate
-Red King Crab with Tosaka
Besides the fresh fish, the fresh wasabi and in house pickle ginger really brings out the fish as well. His rice were the first of its kind that I have had in Atlanta for the nigiri. Overall, I highly recommend you treating yourself by trying out this experience. You’ll definitely be leaving with a happy stomach and smile like me.

Chef Leonard was professional and knows a lot as well as his personal server.
They helped us pick a sale and we drank from a wine glass as it gives the sake a lighter taste and smoothness to it which was delightful.
20 course meal was delicious. Very fresh and well seasoned. His ginger is the best I have had. Fresh wasabi is always such a delight to have. He does not use butane torch. he brings more flavors from his charcoal to slightly cook some items.
If you are looking for a good sushi spot omakase meal, this is the place. No rock shrimp, black cod miso etc like other contemporary type restaurants. They have their own charm but this place is all about redefining the classics of sushi. Just delicious. And to have a chef just focus on you feels extra special.
One thing I’m not too sure about is the add on wagyu caviar nigiri. I don’t think I would get it again for the cost. It was a bit salty from the amount of caviar on top. It takes over the overall flavor of the expensive wagyu which gets lost behind the caviar which was a shame.
Overall, highly recommend.

Wonderful experience! I decided to surprise my husband with a 15 course Omakase dinner for his birthday since his birthday trip to Japan got cancelled. Figured it'd be the next best thing. Chef Yun put together some incredible dishes, and it was fascinating watching him work. I have never been a huge fan of sashimi or nigiri so I was lowkey terrified I wouldn't enjoy it but turns out I just haven't been trying good quality fish haha. Most just melted in our mouths and it was really cool to see how each fish brought out a different flavor. Perfect amount of food to feel full but not uncomfortably so. We also enjoyed conversing with Sophia, who was a wealth of information and helped explain a lot. My husband loved his birthday experience, and I learned that I love (good) fish so I'm even more eager to take our trip to Japan whenever that happens. Win-win!

We recently went to omakase table for a special occasion. It's actually our second time eating with chef Leonard.
Overall the meal was amazing, every course tasted great and the overall experience was awesome.
Chef Leonard and the server gave lots of interesting facts about the fish we were eating and the process taken to prepare the course.
My favorite parts of the meal were the monkfish liver, chu toro, barracuda and scallop!
Would highly recommend to anyone wanting an omakase dinner in the Atlanta area, the sushi here stands up to any sushi restaurant in the ATL area!

Prior to Leonard Yu’s amazing omakase experience, to me omakase in Atlanta meant above standard sushi made for the masses.
Leo brings a masterful, personalized and unique traditional omakase experience that rivals the best in New York and LA. Since they only opened in august, my biggest worry is that I soon won’t be able to get reservation! Without question the best suishi experience in Atlanta

We've order Omakase To Go several times during the pandemic and have tried the 3 donburis: salmon ikura, chirashi, and my personal favorite, toro uni ikura. It has been so difficult to find high quality and well priced sashimi, especially uni, in Atlanta, so it was a pleasant and welcome surprise to find this gem in Buckhead. Each donburi has a generous amount of fresh, delicious, and expertly prepared fish with flavor combinations that are thoughtful and pair beautifully. The meal also comes with some chef's notes that give a description of your donburi and some suggestions to best enjoy. Ordering is easy to do online and pick-up is relatively simple, notifying the host at the front that we've ordered the Omakase To Go, after which they bring your order up to the front. I can't wait to try the in-person dining experience once we reach more normal times.

Amazing omakase experience. Chef Leo uses his creativity and builds on his traditional japanese culinary skills to craft an ever-changing menu of seasonal items. Everything is top notch from the fish sourced from tokyo, home pickled ginger, and top notch shoyu. we’ve been twice now for the 20+ course menu; each time was excellent yet different with changing interesting menu items. we’ll definitively be back regularly and are looking forward to the new dishes to come.
