Tucked within the vibrant Plant Street Market, Norigami offers an intimate sushi experience. Opened in October 2022, this eight-seat counter invites guests to witness culinary artistry firsthand. Skilled chefs meticulously craft handrolls, sushi, and sashimi, using the freshest ingredients. For a truly personalized journey, opt for the omakase, where the chef curates a unique selection based on seasonal offerings and your preferences. Norigami is a haven for sushi enthusiasts seeking both quality and an immersive dining experience. To ensure fully experience please make a reservation within timeslot.
Norigami is simply spectacular, truly living up to its Michelin Bib Gourmand status! We began with the toro carpaccio and chef’s choice sashimi—both incredible and setting an impeccable tone for the Omakase journey that followed. Each bite was a delicate yet intense burst of flavor, with every piece outshining the last. The only reason we didn’t give full stars is that the experience felt slightly rushed toward the end to stay within the 90-minute window, and the drink options were somewhat limited and had to be ordered from a separate location; a broader sake or wine selection would have elevated the experience even more. Nevertheless, Norigami is a true gem—one we’re excited to return to for its remarkable attention to detail and mastery of flavors.

Norigami is an absolute gem! Chef David and Austin provided an unforgettable dining experience that my wife and I will cherish. I indulged in the 10-course Omakase, which is meticulously curated by Chef David. Each dish was a revelation, with flavors that exploded in my mouth and textures that melted like butter. Chef David even took the time to confirm our preferences before starting, ensuring a personalized experience.
My wife ordered off the menu, and each bite she took was filled with delight. The attention to detail and the quality of the ingredients were impeccable. This is a culinary adventure everyone should experience at least once. Trust me, once you visit Norigami, you’ll be eager to return. Highly recommended!

Wow, just wow! Every thing we ate there was awesome. Highly recommend trying the 5 piece nigiri set so that you can try a bunch of different pieces. The King Salmon with truffle oil literally brought tears to my eyes. So delicious! The cucumber salad and the spicy edamame are also really tasty. Will definitely be back!

Norigami is the literal definition of a hidden gem…but it won’t be for very long! You’d better check this place out now before more people find out about it and it becomes virtually impossible to get a reservation!!!
Let’s start with saying how amazing this place is - tucked away in the midst of all the action in Plant Street Market, Norigami is a small 8-seat sushi bar where you can sit and watch the chefs prepare your sushi. This is NOT your ordinary sushi restaurant - this place is Michelin-recommended and is a full-on culinary experience…you can see how it got all its accolades very quickly after you sit down! I would highly recommend doing the omakase experience - basically a 10-piece chef tasting alongside a hand roll and miso soup. For only $65 per person, it is far more reasonable than any other omakase I’ve ever seen (most places being $100-200 per person), they don’t sacrifice quality at all!! The food is absolutely wonderful!! By far the freshest and best-tasting sushi I have ever had anywhere, and I’ve been to Japan!
From the hotate to the colossal shrimp with Cajun mayo to the king salmon to the hamachi, and every other piece we tried, it is all incredible! So much flavor in every bite and I am wishing I would be there again right now as I’m typing this. I also highly recommend the spicy edamame as well as the popcorn hamachi appetizer - both amazing options! The level of quality, service, and the whole experience is SO not something you’d expect in Plant Street Market, and it’s more on par with something you’d get in downtown Miami, New York, or Chicago - Winter Garden is very lucky to have Norigami!! So, check this place out, because if you love sushi and want the freshest fish around, it is 100% worth it!!

I had high hopes for their sushi, but it did not quite meet my expectations. I really wanted to enjoy it! Unfortunately, it felt overpriced for what I received.

I've had so many omakase experiences everywhere but this is definitely one in my top list from flavor and food quality to the service they give here is impeccable! They deserve that michelin
There's just nothing bad I can say about this place! Mush respect to the chefs that made this possible. Came here for my birthday and they did not disappoint! Definitely coming back here!

After many recommendations from friends, I finally had the opportunity to have dinner at Norigami. The fish was incredibly fresh and the chef was friendly and personable, asking us throughout the dinner which was our favorite fish so far and getting to know us. The only negative part of the experience is the atmosphere. Norigami is located at Plant Street Market and I visited on a very busy night when there were events taking place in the area. However I do appreciate that they are located in Winter Garden as opposed to other omakase experiences in downtown Orlando which is a further drive for me.

These guys are masterful. Every single piece of sushi was hand crafted with precision using the finest ingredients flown in from Toyosu Fish Market in Japan. The extra touches inspired by the market around them makes this place stand out creatively amongst a sea of overly Americanized sushi establishments. Probably the best value omakaze in the country. You should probably eat here.

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Norigami. He enjoyed the omakase menu, while I enjoyed some sushi with A5 wagyu and the tofu pockets. The food hall where Norigami is located is a bit loud and can be cramped, but that didn't bother us.

Had a great Omakase experience at Norigami today. We started with the popcorn hamachi and tuna carpaccio appetizers. The popcorn was okay, but not something I’d order again. The tuna carpaccio was great. The Omakase experience was fantastic! I would highly recommend that. The only downside was the Plant Street Market was packed due to rain. It was VERY loud inside and hard to hear the chef. That took away from the overall experience. Add on to that the popcorn machine in the next booth was cranking out popcorn so all I could smell was popcorn. Norigami can’t prevent either, so I won’t negatively affect the rating. 5 star food, just be aware the atmosphere can be an issue.

Amazing food. Amazing service and I can’t help but feel special when I sit down for my 14 course omakase. The greedy and selfish part of me wishes they were always open for lunch and dinner as I would eat every single meal for the rest of my life here. The reservation system is a must have given the quality and care put into crafting a delicious journey. You don’t just get the most premium fish you can get everywhere, you get the wonderful and creative vision of the chef. One of the most special sushi experiences you can get anywhere in the world.

Reservation on OpenTable is needed
Located in a food court with bar seating, it might not be suitable for those seeking a quiet environment. Plenty of public parking available outside, although finding a spot during peak hours may be challenging.
They offer Omakase around $65 for ten courses, while Edoboy offers eight courses for around $50. Highlights to reorder:
Shima aji with ginger scallion sauce and matcha salt
Isaki with yuzu and fried onions
king salmon with truffle miso seasoning—rich and fragrant, even for non salmon lovers
They don’t have collar now

Three times I’ve come to this place. Once in December of 2023 and twice in July of 2024 Three times I’ve had a great experience. The Omakase was properly paced. Each piece of Nigiri was beautiful finished and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The chef was careful to identify each piece. My favorites were Toro, Uni, Unagi, Amaebi and Wagyu beef, in no particular order. Also great were Maguro, Hamachi, and Hotate.

We usually visit this market and place orders at different vendors. While we were walking down the line, I bought donuts for my 96-year-old grandma from the vendor next to this one. As we stopped here to look at the menu, my grandma sat at the corner of the bar to finish her donut while we decided if we wanted to order something to eat here. The employee gave her a disturbed and annoyed look, as if he wanted her to move, despite there being only 1 or 2 occupied seats out of over 8. After about 20 seconds, he came over pretending to grab a napkin and told her to move. This was extremely rude and unprofessional. I don't usually write negative reviews, knowing how much they can affect a business; I own a couple of businesses myself. However, due to his extremely hateful attitude, I thought it was very helpful to others to become aware of the hate in this establishment, he left a very bad impression. This type of attitude is the exact reason why the entire world is in such turmoil.
Matthew 22:39 (NIV): "And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’"
This incident occurred on April 14th, around mid-day.

Checked out Norigami, and it was definitely an exceptional experience! Norigami is located inside Plant Street Market, and only has 8 seats available. They may have walk-ins, if available, but I highly recommend making reservations to guarantee an amazing dining experience.
Once seated, guests are given a paper menu where you mark which pieces and how many pieces you want, ranging from sashimi, nigiri, torched nigiri, and handroll.
There are a few appetizers that I would recommend trying as well such as the Popcorn Hamachi and Baked Fish Collar.
All of the dishes were amazing, and can't go wrong with any of the fish that you order. My absolute favorites were the Madai, Shimaji, Toro, and Torched Colossal Shrimp and Torched Scallop!
Overall, do yourself a favor, and visit Norigami to enjoy an unforgettable experience!

We had the omakase and the food was absolutely exquisite! The fish was so very fresh, the rice was full of flavor and each piece of nigiri was made with care and dedication! This is easily the best sushi I have ever had and I know we will be coming here many times to enjoy the food. The establishment is small but so very inviting. The Chef was kind enough to call me ahead of time to inform me about an event that was taking place in the area and that the parking lot was going to be quite full. Inside the marketplace is where you will find the restaurant and once you are there eating such delicious sushi you will not even notice anything else around you. You are totally drawn in by the meal and by the very friendly and fun chef. You may also even have a nice chat with the other patrons around you. I highly suggest coming here for a date or just some fantastic quality food. The price of the food is worth it!

Hidden gem 14-course omakase for $100 ($65 for 10-course)! My wife and I were blown away over how fresh and delicious everything was. Chef David and another chef (sorry we didn’t get his name) meticulously handcrafts each delicious bite of heaven that will deliver a rush of endorphins to your brain. They are warm, friendly, attentive and explain the place of origin for each piece of sushi. Only opened a year and a half ago, Norigami has received a coveted Bib Gourmand award from the Michelin Guide. There are only 8-seats in this sushi bar only restaurant in the Plant Street Market, so be sure to make reservations well in advance of your planned date. They do not have a liquor license (yet), which means you can BYOB. It takes a lot of work, expertise and love to deliver such an enjoyable meal. We will be coming back every time we visit Orlando! Thank you Chef David!

Oh my Sushi - this was so good! You can really taste the freshness of the fish! The accompaniments that Chef David adds to the sushi make it a delightful bite! All of them were good, however my top two that were fabulous was the Toro and Unagi 😍

My wife and I went to sit down, and we were told they were closed and we couldn't sit there. So we took a moment and before we could get up, the manager came over and said that we couldn't sit there and we told him that we were Leaving.
After we got up, maybe three or four minutes – a couple came and they were placing an order so I walked over and asked what that was about. And the manager said that it's a go order.
The first employee that asked us to leave, nor the manager ever said that we could order to go, and I expressed my distain for the lack of communication. Then the manager said well you never gave me a chance to even clean up the table. What does that have to do with anything?
I told him that Because of the way we were treated Barely sitting down for a moment, I would never go back.
The lesson for the manager or the owner or whoever resist is that your employees should educate the customer to say hey, we're close, but you can order to go if you want. And then the manager who is coming over to make sure we left should've said the same thing saying hey, you can't stay but you can order to go if you want. That would've been a viable solution that would make sense rather than just telling us to leave, when we had barely sat down without any options and just making excuses after the fact that he needed to clean the table. That has nothing to do with the fact that we wanted to order food from this place.
Absolutely horrible customer service or any thoughtfulness letting a customer know that wanted to eat options that they could've even if they weren't staying.
Feel free to reach out to me directly to discuss further. I would love to help you be better at taking care of people that have good intentions that are pushed into the negative this way because of how I was treated.

I don’t understand the hype at all.. maybe it’s made to be fancy, gourmet, idk.. we ordered online and it took them 40 minutes to prepare it. Total was $150 for my husband and I.. when the food arrived I couldn’t believe, they were tiny pieces of sushi, with a little bit of a fancy spice on top, maybe two sushi from there equals one sushi from anywhere else. I thought it was a joke. Came here to see the reviews and haven’t seen anyone talk about this. Incredibly expensive for bland taste, tiny sushi.

Chef David's flavors are on point for every dish - we loved it! The blue crab nigiri and the hotate were the standouts, but everything was great. Nothing in the omakase or the a la carte options we tried disappointed. The price point was low for the quality, and I liked that the food was luxe but the location wasn't. A casual Michelin meal in jeans is SO refreshing.

DISCRIMINATION???? HAPPY UNTIL.... we LOVED this place and have been several times. This last time we visited, we (mixed race couple-middle eastern and white) were flanked by sweet couples who appeared to be Eastern Asian couples with whom we had great conversations, etc. We ordered the chef's selection with 10 pieces, etc. EVERY time the customers were served with a piece of sushi, the sous chef addressed the couples on both sides of us in a low voice, but not us. We had to ask each and EVERY time what was being served (chef's choice)! Despite asking EACH TIME, we were promptly ignored the first five or six times (ordered ten pieces). Mind you, we engaged in friendly conversations, etc. with our fellow guests and even the chef himself. We feel DISCRIMINATED as non-eastern Asian guests. I have never experienced this until now!!! Why else would the the sous chef intentionally (despite both of us openly questioning his practice) do this???

Walked up and picked up menu on counter and was immediately dismissed, told the seats were reserved (2 of 8 seats were taken). I replied, “I’m just looking at the menu.” , it was printed on typical long sheet to order sushi. And I was told rudely that the menu is over there and he pointed. Walked away, not going to get my business like that.

Finally had the chance to try out Norigami at Plant Street Market after chef David moved from his original joint near UCF. At the new place, there's a lot more options to choose from and you can order piece by piece instead if you don't want to opt for the omakase.
I didn't think it was possible, but the mad man one upped himself. The omakase that was already amazing got even better. It's so good that it received a Michelin Bib Gourmand.
What's even more mind blowing is that even though the food was more delicious, and even after receiving a Michelin award, the price for the omakase stayed at $65. It almost felt like I was robbing the place since the value is just that good. Especially in this economy, being able to increase the quality as well as keeping the prices the same is almost unheard of.
I've been to almost all the big name omakase joints like Kadence and Soseki 2-3x each, but Norigami might be my new favorite.
10/10 dishes include the tuna carpaccio, king salmon, blue fin tuna, fatty tuna, and scallop.

This is the some of the best sushi in Orlando. If you’re looking for something quick efficient and a nice place to hang out before or after your meal check it out.

Love this place. The attention to detail and warm personalities makes this for a wonderful dining experience.

A hidden gem for Omakase experience. I've been here several times and never got disappointed. The quality of fish is of highest standard. I love the atmosphere, relaxing, casual but the service is still impeccable. You can order alcoholic drinks from Crooked Can brewery with a QR code and they bring it to your seat.

Food, service, and atmosphere was excellent but if you want to pair a good glass of wine with your meal look elsewhere. Crooked Can Brewery is the landlord and prohibits them from serving wine. You can order wine from the brewery but it’s not equal to the food. Too bad. It’s limiting what this restaurant could be in my opinion.

My wife and I have been here twice and we are always impressed by the chef’s creativity and consistency. My wife is very picky when it comes to sushi in particular and she is consistently impressed by the quality and attention to detail.

Chef David is very knowledgeable on flavor profiles and combinations of various textures and flavors.
Usually I do not like to order “chef selection,” items, but I was convinced to try that option and have not been dissatisfied since. My boyfriend and I have routinely been making reservations every Sunday for the past 6 months. The freshness, flavor, and amazing prompt service cannot be overstated. Highly recommend!

Norigami is a Michelin Star Sushi/Omakase experience tucked away in the Plant St. Market Place. Make sure to make a reservation because this little eight (8) seat experience fills up fast.
On your order list you'll also write your name and that little addition makes the experience that much more personal. The chef's call you by name and it makes that hour or so you're seated that much more personal.
The food is excellent, to put it simply. Handled with care and made with quality ingredients, every bite was amazing. I can't express enough that Norigami really pushes the quality of food you can eat in a non-traditional restaurant experience.
Overall, Norigami is a place where you get to experience top quality ingredients, flavors and hospitality.

I have been to Japan, I ate sushi all over US, but it is my favorite! Quality is amazing, David is a true magician. Prices are very reasonable! Loved it. Will be a customer for ever!

Norigami delivered such an elevated Omakase experience you wouldn't expect from such a casual environment of Plant St Market. Their Omakase 10 pieces nigiri chef tasting was amazing for just $60.
Each piece of fish was exceptional and the quality was honestly well beyond what you paid for. The chefs made us feel comfortable and the interactions were natural and not forced, which is a huge plus for me as an introvert. Definitely the best sushi experience Winter Garden has to offer!
Pro Tips: (1) They don't serve alcohol so definitely grab a beer or two from Crooked Can Brewery before you sit down. (2) Definitely make reservation beforehand or you'll risk showing up and all the seats are reserved.

One of the best sushi in Orlando, they are on another level. No wonder they’ve got the Bib Gourmand.

Amazing experience. The chefs are so personable and the food is so unique and FRESH! An incredible experience and we will definitely be back. The fatty tuna was my favorite, as well as the popcorn Hamachi. Do not miss this place. If you get a chance, get a spot there at the bar, give your taste buds a party, and savor every minute of it!

This was some of the very best sushi I have ever had. I've been enjoying Sushi since I lived on Oahu in the late 60s and this is truly fantastic sushi. And the service was also absolutely amazing!!!
Thanks David!

The most amazing sushi experience, me and my best friend went for lunch and I cannot express how amazing the sushi is. The flavor is absolutely indescribable. Every sushi piece was better than the next and the flavor profile is too complex to even describe. One of the best culinary experiences I have ever had. My favorite pieces were the colossal shrimp with Cajun mayo and lime and the Hotate Japanese scallop with spicy tobanjan aioli. If you ever walk in the crowded plant street market and happen to see Norigami book a reservation and give it a try. It’s definitely a hidden gem and a once in a lifetime authentic sushi experience here in central FL.

Celebrated 9th Anniversary and it was first Omakase. Every plate served melted in my mouth. The quality of fish and presentation was top quality.
Memorable favorites were the:
Cucumber salad
Popcorn Hamachi
Toro aburrí with uni on top
King salmon aburrí

PHENOMENAL!! The king salmon aburi was the most delicious piece of fish I’ve ever had! I definitely recommend the omakase and starting with a cucumber salad. You’re able to grab a beer from Crooked Can to have with your meal. We’ll definitely be back.

One of my and my husband's new favorite sushi places. Went out for a date night with hubby tonight. Everything was prepared well. I ordered the spicy edamame and the omakase. My husband ordered a few individual pieces. We mostly spoke with Austin, who was great serving us.
The spicy edamame was great. Not too hot, but a nice sweet heat with a flavor that reminded me a little of Korean BBQ wing sauce (really a must try!). For the omakase, I didn't state any preferences other than making sure uni would be included in the omakase (it was). I wanted to try everything as the chef desired, even the types of fish I normally disliked (sometimes I'm surprised by how a chef makes something I dislike and turn it into something I love). The popcorn hamachi my husband ordered was fantastic. I wasn't expecting literal popcorn on the dish. You wouldn't expect the flavors or textures to pair well together but it was phenomenal. I think it was my husband's favorite for the night. The hamachi nigiri blew me and my husband away. The striped jack, king salmon and fatty tuna nigiri were among my favorites as well. Melt in your mouth pieces with great flavor combinations. The toro had a sort of s'mores flavor to it that was crazy good. My husband and I weren't as much a fan of the whiskey ikura but we're not big whiskey or ikura fans so I'm sure it was just us. The ebi reminded me of crawfish (which I love) but a little tougher. The blue crab temaki was a bit lack luster in flavor compared to the other pieces - I'm hoping they experiment more with this one. The tuna nigiri wasn't my style (I am not a big fan of tuna but I wanted to try the experience. If you like tuna though, you will like this!). The miso soup was wonderful. The broth was made with fish bone and bonito flakes, which they strained before adding the wakame and tofu. My husband also ordered the A5 wagyu (he's not a big steak fan, but this steak he loved and would order again). I was a little jealous I hadn't ordered it too, but next time!
Absolute wonderful experience definitely deserving of their Michelin star. We will be coming back here again for future date nights. Thank you David and Austin for providing such a lovely dinner with charisma and incredible, delicious food.

This place was so so good! I am big on omakase but my husband prefers to order a la carte and Norigami is the perfect place for us because they provide both options!
Amazing quality of fish and the flavor in each bite was superb. More laid back then other omakase type places we’ve been to in Orlando and I think that’s what gives it such charm. We will for sure be back soon. Thanks chef David!

This is the best sushi! Quality and fresh! Chef David & Dakota were deliver top notch customer service with excellent recommendations as an avid traveler I am accustomed to quality food. Chef David went above and beyond to deliver the best experience. Honestly deserves to be on the Michelin. Must try king salmon aburi, and the popcorn hamachi, every piece from nigiri to sashimi was excellent. Fresh rice soft and crunchy nori with top quality fish! Great

Norigami was an experience. Every bite of food you take here forces you to close your eyes in pleasure. The fish here just melts in your mouth. It is fresh, delicious and buttery. Every bite is dressed to perfection and ready to be devoured. The chef's palate is on another level as evidenced by the way he pairs complimentary and unexpected flavors with each individual type of fish. The stripe jack with scallion puree, the perfectly broiled eel, surprising pairings of truffle with fish, romesco, a drop of aioli - but never overdressed - the fish always shining through. Now let's talk about the broiled collar. Absolute perfection that could only come from the freshest selection of fish and a chef with expert technique. I don't think I will be able to stay away from this gem of a place. Get the Omakase. The Chef knows best.

This is the most stupid place I've ever encountered. You have to have a reservation for only 5 chairs they don't take walk up at all . Mean while those chairs are empty for hours . I hope you close down.

Awesome chef! Great service. Not a chain. Fresh fish.
Seats book up so do get reservations. Fun to see the action/ sushi being made. They have fast online ordering too.
Good about explaining the ingredients. No real vegetarian or vegan options but maybe one day :)

This place is unbelievable! This is the best sushi I’ve had outside of Tokyo. The quality of the fish is unlike anything I’d expect to find in the US. The omakase absolutely blew me away - the service was incredibly welcoming and the fish was mind blowing and at reasonable prices. I cannot recommend this place enough. I cannot wait to come back here regularly. The best place on plant street by far!

David & Dakota seamlessly cater to your taste profiles. The flavor composite complements are impeccable. For example, the popcorn hamachi experiments with sorghum and cream cheese. Highly recommend the chef’s tasting! Decent pricing we ordered a lot of stuff!
