I was initially a bit skeptical because of some of the reviews, but we decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad we did! The food was absolutely delicious, with generous portion sizes, and the sushi options were fantastic. We will definitely be back!

I got the salmon cream cheese roll, the golden salmon role, clear soup, and my husband got the chicken katsu dinner box. Everything was amazing!

Ordered started out ordering two separate orders to go, while ordering, the person wanted whobwas on 2nd order decided to order elsewhere. I informed him the first order was still wanted, he took my number and hung up on me. Went to pick up the order and the fool canceled the entire order. Very poor customer service, do not plan on ever returning.

I called and asked about the $6 delivery fee. I asked if it went to the driver. I was told it pays for the gas for the driver. I’m also expected to pay a tip. I was then told it was Joe Bidens fault that gas was expensive. The gas has been the same price for the last 4 years. Why are you raising the delivery fee as he is leaving if that’s how you feel? I’m very confused. I order from here at least 3 times a week and now I can’t afford to because of outrage fees. Also, you have to place a minimum order of $30 to even get delivery. I’m extremely disappointed. I would recommend the food to everyone it is great but I can’t recommend the service. I have been going here for 15 years minimum. What a shame to lose a customer, a good customer to outrageous fees and a dumb excuse like that. SMH. I was told well just come in and pick it up. If I could just come in, I would right? Do better Sakura. Your food is to good for the nonsense.

This place was very busy, which is a good sign!

It was very clean, servers were very nice with a "feel good atmosphere".

The menu was large, the prices are more than fair, and the portions are humongous. Honestly, two could feed off one of their dinner platters. So, another good thing.

The food was hot and fresh, and they make all rolls and sushi right there on the spot upon order.

We will be back for sure!

I’m a repeat customer but last night was my last time ordering. I always order Red style curry, and it’s usually delicious. Except for last night. I recieved pure OIL and WATER, it looked like red chili oil. I thought maybe it just separated and began trying to pour the oil out but it just kept going. Mind you usually this dish is served here as a light peach/cream color and is more thick. What I got last night was semi transparent, separated and red. An $80 order treated like this is just so disappointing. Seeing all the recent reviews, hopefully the team realizes any changes being made in the kitchen are WRONG and need to be evaluated before this place gets shut down.

We've ordered frequently and food quality varies from excellent to meh....well last night was the second time we felt ill after consumption. My husband and I are super sick this time. This is the last time we order, the last time was a coincidence this is a pattern. In a follow up from this.....we threw out $90 worth of food because we didn't know what made us so sick. $90.....we can't afford to lose that kind of money nor do we love being sick for days. Had to go to ER and both my husband and myself have been taking anti nausea med for days.

Stopped in for a quick dinner while traveling. The sushi presentation was great, I would have liked the sushi to be just as good. It wasn’t bad, just a little mushy. I ordered a mango avocado roll and it was just too soft to the point that I questioned if it was too ripe. The other two rolls were good. My mother ordered beef and broccoli. She was very happy with her dinner. The prices were very reasonable and the staff were helpful. Atmosphere was fine.

Me and my wife went to this restaurant to try it out we ordered a to go order we got the food in papper bags thinking nothing of this we leave the restaurant l. We get home 2 items are missing. We contact the restaurant to inform them of thr missing items. After a 5 min hold we got "the manager ". Instead of listening and understanding our issue he accused us of stealing food. How dare you think people call you to tell you 2 items that total under 10$ and you accuse them of stealing. What kind of customer service is that?? We will never go here again if you go I would suggest that you open your paper bag before walking out. Just to make sure you get what you pay for.

I have to say I was very disappointed with my experience here. I received a flyer in the mail and was super stoked to see all the food on the menu and at reasonable prices. I placed an online pick up order for a steak hibachi diner and salmon rolls. I was given a 60 min wait-which I get it, it was a Friday night- no big deal. I go to pick up my food and the customer service at check out was subpar. I watched them conversate amongst themself and struggle to check me out and print a receipt. After finally getting through the payment process, someone walked up to me (not sure if it was the owner or manager) to ask me if the food I was just handed and just paid for was mine? Uh? What? At this point I wasn’t sure if I was being looked at as if I was trying to take food or if I even had the right order? Very uncomfortable. Then I get home to find my steak was hard as a rock and cold. The pork fried rice I had to pay an extra $3 for barely even had pork in it? If my food was ready prior to the pick up time why was I not called? Worst $30 I’ve ever spent. Dine in might be a fresher experience, but take out isn’t it. The sushi wasn’t terrible. Might be the only thing I stick with if I ever go back. Doubtful.

Food was amazing! I had cooked shrimp sushi and deepfried smoked salmon sushi rolls and the freshness and flavors were mouth watering! I won't get the unsweetened tea next time because it tasted like dirty water, but I will definitely be back for more. Waitress was busy but very quick and checked on us as needed. First time here as I just moved to the area and I will make it my weekly adventure to try other sushi rolls

This freaking place every time we order there is something new we don’t know about. Their combination platters don’t come with vegetables in the rice so we order without vegetables! This time we decided to get the kids rice from the kids menu and Lomein. Well that rice is full of vegetables yet they don’t specify that in the menu. Like make up your mind people or make notes on the menu! It’s confusing as heck and they don’t give a damn!

I must say, Sakura serves the best avocado sushi and general tso tofu I have ever tasted. The avocado slices are huge and delightfully ripe. Unlike some other places where the roll is all rice and no filler, Sakura is generous with the avocado. Additionally, they offer a great selection of vegan-friendly items on their menu.

First time here and lunch was great. I had 1 order of tuna sashimi and one oder of salmon sashimi "Al A Cart". The cut of fish was thick and fresh and displayed very nice .I also got 1 special roll called First Kiss Roll and it was huge and tasted amazing, try the roll if you go to this restaurant. Service was great ,as they always were checking if I need something. Very nice people that work here .Luch time was 50% full and I was seated immediately. My new go to for Sushi!!!

I love the sushi from Sakura and have eaten in restaurant many times. This time I found a dead bug in my takeout container. I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager who not only refused to refund me, but belittled me, was incredibly rude and sarcastic and overall had terrible costumer service. I was very patient over the phone and was simply asking for a refund since I was unable to eat the food, they refused to believe me so I offered to send a photo. He called me names and sarcastically offered to “call the police for me”.
I’ll be reporting this to the FDH because ew.

Came here for dinner on 2/11 around 4-ish. This used to be our go to for a great meal and casual dinning, however, the past few visits we've noticed a deterioration of quality that has become the norm for which we no longer want to dine here and can not recommend it anymore to any of our family/friends.

2nd visit in 2 weeks, we visited again hoping for better but presented with worse. Was not greeted upon entry as if we were intruding upon their business. The inside felt oddly uninviting where once it was a peaceful enjoyable experience.

The crispy noodles were off color, the oil was old and tasted as such. This was an ongoing issue as the week prior the same thing happened. The portions have gotten smaller, the quality lessened. No consistency to portion control as evidenced by the same meal being ordered 2 weeks apart with varying differences. My boneless pork ribs were mostly knobby fatty bits that weren't cut properly. The rice has taken a turn for the worse now tasting old and off as if, the oil used had turned bad. The egg rolls tasted freezer burnt and old, the filling oddly tart as if it had been bad weeks prior, did not finish. What once had been a desirable place to eat has now turned into a stomach churning excursion into missed work and intestinal issues all because someone had decided to cut corners, use old ingredients to save a dollar.

The wait staff was, as they normally are, the one shining example of customer oriented service throughout this continuing bleak experience. As once regulars, we've been blessed with nearly everyone who has ever worked as a server here and each time, without fail, they have been above and beyond attentive and a pleasure.

With that being said, the problem appears to stem either from poor management or lackluster kitchen staff bringing down the whole grade as anyone with a slight working knowledge of restaurant procedures/food prep/and management would have tossed the bad oil and ensured every plate leaving the kitchen was up to par not ignore everything. Disappointing to see it spiraling into a place to avoid but if it continues it probably won't be long before the open signage is permanently set to closed. For now, choose somewhere else and avoid the possible regret.

We were regular customers for 2+ years. Tonight we ordered 3 dinners for delivery, only to have 2 arrive. I had to show the driver my order for 3 meals instead of 2, so he agreed to go back to get the third. I paid him for them, but was terribly disappointed with the meals...swolen rice, mushy meats...so I called. I was greeted with an angry Asian man telling me to bring all my food to the restaurant for a 10% discount on my next order. I argued that I was being punished for THEIR mistake, and then asked for my money back, at which point I was told walmart doesn't take back partially used stuff so neither do they.

After no less than 20 orders in the last 12-18 months, this is very disappointing. Just be careful...if they make a mistake (which we ALL do) they will berate you and blame YOU for the issue.

Went in to pick up a to-go order, I decided to pay in cash and while I was looking for the money in my purse the manager asked me multiple times if I have money, I said yes I'm just trying to collect it all and he proceeded to ask if I'm sure and if I can afford to eat there. So rude! This honestly made me feel like they were being prejudice towards me. Why would you say something like that to a customer?? Do not go here!

The food was amazing. We are vegetarian and there were plenty of options for us. The teriyaki sauce was the best I’ve had from a takeout restaurant and the general’s tofu was incredible. It was spicy and sticky like the orange chicken I used to love! The sushi was excellent and the scallion pancake. We are new to the area and will absolutely be ordering again. We got delivery and they went above and beyond to get our food to us!

I ate sushi from this place since they opened, & one night ordered an eel roll and it was DISGUSTING. It was congealed like jelly, cold and it tasted like rotten fish. When I called them they told me to bring it back in & since I live right down the road I did. What a mistake! The owner yelled at me and told me he had never seen me there before and that eel rolls are supposed to be like that. I've been eating sushi for 35 years and I've never had anything like that. He argued with me and refused to give me a refund, offering a credit instead. I gave the multiple opportunities after this but the food quality just kept getting worse, making me sick, losing money (because they screwed up so many orders), etc. I'M DONE! Then my son showed me the Hernando County restaurant reports on Sakura's & I was APPALLED. Eat at your own risk. It's a shame, it used to be good food and the wife and daughter are kind but the husband (owner) is always angry at EVERYONE.

I've been coming to Sakura for a couple of years now. Delicious, fresh sushi; I've never enjoyed their Chinese fare. Lovely, clean decor, staff is polite and helpful. Younger staff they've recently hired should be trained a bit better. Other than that, the food is good, reasonably priced and there's hardly any wait once you walk in.

The food is always fresh, never under or over cooked. The sushi is fresh, amazing, and cleanly put together. The prices are great and the portions are a good size. Delivery is always quick, Fresh, and boxed neatly. The bar where you can watch them make and prep sushi rolls is always clean and organized.
The only bummed thing is that they got rid of the dollar sushi roll deal :(

Never again. These are not lobster Ragus, hardly any filling, what is in there is crab. They’re cold and rubbery. Rice tastes old. The spring roll was fresh. The chicken was not freshly cooked. A trace of chili sauce.. When this place is 20 mins away, and takes 25 mins for delivery. It’s not fresh. The driver told me where the tip goes. I was told the 6.00 delivery charge was for the driver.. $27.00 for less than mediocre dinner is not worth it.

It's always a delight to visit Sakura for dinner. They are very popular so expect a wait since Door Dash and Uber eats also pick up there and they try to catch up. The food always tastes better when freshly served. Delivery doesn't do the food preparation any service. The sushi has been one of our favorites in the area. They serve both raw and cooked sushi to meet everyone's taste. There is also a nice Saki choice and green apple being my favorite is always perfect to finish a meal. If you're patient and open minded you'll enjoy Sakura.

When I called to check where it was the resturant couldn’t get a hold of the drive and said he left awhile ago. Extremely disappointed. My wife and I have eaten here 20 times and always enjoyed our experience. They never have two people sitting inside so I always make a point to let the staff know that their food is great. We recently moved 20 minutes away and while in the area today we ordered our usual, my wife’s sushi rolls and my shrimp and broccoli hibachi lunch. Picked it up and the lady that checked me out was very kind and when I asked to her to ensure that my wife’s soy sauce was inside the bag she had stated “let me check myself because good help has been hard to find and staff has been screwing up the orders lately after being trained.” The sauce was in fact inside and I went about my day. Got home and opened my hibachi platter which usually has shrimp, vegetables and broccoli on one side and rice on the other side; but found that only half my tray was present and completely missing the rice. We called figuring it was an honest mistake and now being 20 minutes away, had no intentions on returning for the rice, we had just hoped to maybe be offered a half refund for the missing food. Not only did we get denied for any refund whatsoever, the male on the phone immediately accused us of lying and said multiple times that “it is impossible and that we are lying to him.” In no way do we have the time or desire to call a business on a Friday afternoon and create a story about missing rice if it were not true. We offered to send him a picture and again he accused us of lying and refused to show one ounce of sympathy toward their mistake or take an ounce of ownership for their mistake. Icing on the cake was that the quality of my wife’s sushi was the worst it has ever been and the quality of this place has clearly taken a turn for the worst. The lack of professionalism displayed today was disgusting and we’ll never return. Mistakes happen, but for a business owner to immediately and repeatedly accuse his own customers of lying, is incomprehensible.

Never again, I hope the rice was worth it.

Ordering was easy and we did pickup which was where the problem started. We never got a notice that our food was ready just a time to pickup. We arrived at the time it said the food would be done and once getting home it was obvious the food had been sitting awhile before we got there. They need a way to notify people when their orders are actually ready or make it closer to the time they said it would be ready.
We ordered a curry dish and beef w/ vegetables and both were ok. I appreciated the nicer vegetables in the beef and vegetables but I got 11 small pieces of beef in my meal so the portion size was very small. Of course there was a lot of rice making my dish look full so if you love rice it would be good for you. The curry dish was dry, meaning it had almost no extra sauce over the chicekn and veggies at all. Other than it being spicy there was very little flavor to it because there was no sauce. And again, an abundance of rice in this dish but not much else.
We also got an order of tempura vegetables w/ shrimp and I feel like it was way over priced for what we were given. 2 shrimp, 2 pieces of broccoli, 2 pieces of squash, 3 piece of either sweet potato or carrot but either way for almost $8 that was not a good deal. I didn't expect more shrimp at that price but more veggies would have been nice. I mean at that price we paid almost $1 a piece for the items we were given.
Overall, disappointed and not that happy we tried a new place. We'll just go back to our regular Asian food place.

Ordered a side salad with ranch. The waitress said “okay with ranch”. I said “yes.” She then brings me out a salad with ginger dressing. When I asked to get another with ranch because it wasn’t what I ordered, the chef or manager I don’t know which because he didn’t introduce himself, came out and told me this wasn’t an American restaurant and they only served ginger dressing. No where on their menu do they state this and their waitress confirmed ranch for my salad when I placed my order. Also I cannot eat carrots, I told the waitress this and I still had carrots in my salad. Not very aware of customer safety and could get someone hurt or worse. We had to ask for napkins and silverware as it was not given to us with our food. Also we had to ask for refills on our drinks. I don’t go to a restaurant to ask for everything and argue with the manager about dressing for a salad. Poor customer service all around and the food wasn’t even that good compared to other Asian restaurants. Will never eat here again. Ever.

First off, I would like to say the food is amazing. Unfortunately this is where it stops. I ordered General Tso Tofu. I picked it up and brought it home. I opened the rice, Put some in a bowl and proceeded to add the General Tso into the bowl also. This is the first time I ordered from Sakura so I didn't realize I had General Tso Chicken instead. I called Sakura back to explain what happened. I was not upset because I know mistakes happen. Not a big deal. The person on the phone said he would bring me general Tso Tofu and I said thank you. I asked him if he would bring another cup of rice since I already poured the Chicken Tso into the bowl. His reply to me was, "Couldn't you tell it was chicken before pouring it over the rice." Seeing it now I can see a difference, but I never ordered it before so I saw something that was breaded with sauce. I truly believe it is unappropriated to speak to a person in that tone. I was not the one that made the mistake. For that sole reason I will not order from them again.

I do NOT recommend this restaurant at all. From someone with background in the food industry, this was by far the worst customer service I have ever come across. We have spent over a thousand dollars at this restaurant over the past two years and have never had an issue - until tonight. After our order was delivered, we realized they did not send the Crab Rangoon we ordered and one of our steak hibachi dinners was raw, not rare… raw. We were not rude when we called in, we simply wanted a refund for the item we did not receive and to make them aware that their food was undercooked. The very rude manager or owner, not sure of his position as he did not introduce himself, informed us that “you Americans eat food different, you should’ve told us how you wanted your steak”… and refused to let us speak as he continued to call us liars. With no concern for the item we paid for but did not receive, he told us we can drive this dinner back to the establishment to have it recooked… as I said, we’ve ordered these same items many times over the past two years and have never come across this issue so no, it was not simply “how they cook it”. We are not ones to make a fuss or look for free food, with background in the food industry- I know what it is like to be on the other side of this phone call and could never imagine speaking to customers, loyal ones at that, the way he did. Needless to say, Sakura has lost us as customers. So, if you’re looking for poorly cooked food, missing items, and poor customer service - they’re your place!
