Sushi bar & Asian Cuisine
Ginza is out favorite sushi restaurant since we found it in 2022. We normally get All you can eat and very happy and satisfied our taste of sashimi and sushi. Sashimi and sushi is always fresh and make to order. Sushi rolls are pretty standard but generous. They also have other foods on menu but we've never try, because all we want there is sashimi and sushi.
Highly recommended for eat more pay less sashimi and sushi.

The food was good. Instead of all you can eat sushi bar, you need to order them. The service was a bit slow because it was during lunch time and there were so many people. It’s pretty noisy in here and only one lady was attentive and checking on my table a couple times.
I like Eel and Salmon so I ordered Green Dragon Roll and Crazy Salmon Roll. Few of Eel Sushi, Seaweed Salad, Kani Salad, Miso Soup, Sesame Ball with red bean paste inside, and Green Tea Ice Cream. My Fave is Eel Sushi!
They said the dinner menu has more options and you also can order 6pc of Sashimi. I might try this next time even it costs $10 more.

During our visit to Ginza in Sarasota, we were immediately impressed by the seamless service, starting with being seated right away thanks to our reservation. This all-you-can-eat sushi and hibachi haven offers an efficient and fast service, making our dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Our party of six adults all opted for the all-you-can-eat dinner, priced at approximately $30 per person, including taxes, which we found to be a great value.
The restaurant boasts a cocktails menu, adding a delightful touch to our meal with the option to pair our dishes with a refreshing drink. When it comes to the food quality, Ginza stands out from other all-you-can-eat diners, offering a higher quality of dishes, though it might not rival the exclusivity of single-order establishments. However, the extensive choice of dishes more than compensates for this, ensuring that there's something for everyone to enjoy.
Overall, Ginza in Sarasota offers a satisfying dining experience for those looking for a variety of sushi and hibachi dishes at a reasonable price point. While the quality may not surpass that of more upscale, single-order diners, the wide selection and the efficiency of service make it a worthwhile visit for any group looking to enjoy a good meal together. A solid 4-star experience for anyone craving Japanese cuisine in a buffet style.

We drove from port Charlotte to Ginza in Sarasota on a Friday night. We arrived about 7:30 and we were seated right away. We were surprised and happy we got right in. We chose to come here based on other google reviews. So happy we did!! High quality sushi rolls and hibachi especially for an all you can eat option! The adult endless buffet was $28.95 each, and well worth it! I loved how the portions of the rolls are smaller than other places that way you are able to try more choices. I loved the fried pork dumplings they were cooked perfectly and fresh it came with 2 in the order. Our server Kevin was great we put in about 6 things to start and put in 2-3 more before the food came out. We didn’t have to wait long for the refills to come out. We both really really loved the volcano rolls and the teriyaki shrimp!! The only roll neither one of us cared for was the bbq salmon roll. The rice we got with the hibachi was over cooked and dry but the meat and veggies were great. Bathrooms could’ve been a little cleaner and unfortunately were out of toilet paper. Really overall happy with everything and would love to bring family here! Worth the 40 minute drive!!

I’m not one to usually leave a bad review but my attempted visit today left a nasty taste in my mouth.
Let’s start this with the fact I lost my house in hurricane Debby 3 months ago to flooding and my house is nothing but the top half of the walls and the only thing I have is a working toilet and shower and a microwave so eating good healthy real and hot food, not a thing for me.
I don’t have a lot of money due to having to pay for all these repairs to my and my grandmother’s childhood home of 72 YEARS! I’ve been struggling with my mental health and simply trying to find the will to live every day to put it kindly.
So now, lets get to where I’m livid and embarrassed because is hate to sit there and argue with the host about my service dog. She kept telling me she needs to see some sort of card even after I educated her that for
1. YOU MAY ONLY say/ask “Is this a service dog?” And “What task(s) does it provide for you
2. THERE IS NO SERVICE ANIMAL OR EMOTIONAL SUPPORT ANIMAL REGISTRY!!!
A- No legal registration means no “official card” is given to “prove” a service animal’s validity
1. You CAN choose to have a card made to MAKE THINGS EASIER but it’s not legally required. Same goes for vests. It isn’t required for me to put a vest on her. Those who chose to use the vest do so because it prevents situations like this from happening because people just wanna take their little shithead ankle biters everywhere they go and lie saying they’re service animals and give fake cards and credentials.
B- There’s no “look” to disabilities. Not all can be seen.
1. I have diabetes (due to some medications) and C-PTSD, so you can’t “see” anything.
I understand lots of people fake things but I came in with her calm and collected and even brought her mini bed to lay on under the table to
1- Help with hair cuz service animal or not animals DO shed but
2- My doggo isn’t getting any younger and has been a working dog for quite some time so having something to lay on allows her to lay/sit down at my side while I eat and do my paperwork for work.
I’d understand questioning me if my dog wasn’t in control or she was barking or lunging or using the bathroom inside and causing a scene but she wasn’t cuz she’s trained.
I’ve never felt so embarrassed and I’m so tired of people and establishment’s not being educated on ADA laws and regulations, it’s not my damn job.
Figure yourself out Ginza cuz that was a super bad call. I haven’t always come with her because she DOES get days and time off which most people don’t realize service animals aren’t on 24/7, they need breaks too. And like I said, she’s getting old and she’s got super old lady bones and prior knee and hip injuries are catching up to her so I try my best to make it through the day without her when those issues flare up.
For the first time some losing my house and everything I own, I had a few extra bucks to get some unlimited food and fill my belly and pay a 70%+ tip cuz I’ve been in the industry and I get it.
I’m really disappointed. Educate your staff cuz if I or a friend comes back , I absolutely can and WILL report you next time for violating my rights and embarrassing me after I educated you and your staff still wants to argue with me about the law when I’ve been doing this for 9 years and she’s barely old enough to even serve alcohol or rent a car.

I have been to many hibachi places before and this was the first time where I came to get hibachi and they had told me that I can only pick one of the sides, I had to pick between a rice, soup or salad almost every hibachi place I’ve ever been to would include all three, but our waiter told us that we are only allowed to pick one? so I had picked fried rice. I brought this up to the so called manager who actually wasn’t there so I talked to another individual who worked there and he was able to give us our sides that we had paid for that our waitress had told us that we will not be getting. The menu is very misleading compared to what the waitress was informing us, hibachi was also not top quality. I feel like it did have a lot more vegetables than chicken and the rice was very low quality. We had got the fried rice and it did not taste good so we had asked for white rice in exchange. If you’re looking for good hibachi this is definitely not the spot, but they did have very good sushi amazing actually. I will say and I was very happy that one of the individuals were able to at least give us our sides that we should’ve gotten in the first place!

First, we did not appreciate the server we had. Everytime I asked for the him, he just replied "ONE MINUTE".
The server also gave us attitude when we asked to combine checks for a party more than 6...which I would not see as a big deal.
The food was also bland and I get that this review is an personal opinion, but the sushi is not worth $28-$30 for all you can eat.
Automatically, even if the food was not up to par, customer service is the number one thing, which we did not recieve.

I had steamed dumplings and the Ginza roll. Both were amazing, the staff is friendly, it’s a nice atmosphere, and there are lots of options here. You can do an all you can eat brought to your table, or you can order normally. So whether you are a big or small eater, you can’t go wrong at Ginza.

Went to Ginza last night for the first time with my mom as we have been looking for a great sushi place! This was AWESOME! The staff were super friendly and were very attentive making sure we had everything we needed! We did the all you can eat which was 28 a person and let me tell you it was worth it! My mom couldnt believe it was both sides of the menu! You can get some chinese dishes, hibachi, sushi, appetizeds and more for the all you can eat! We started off with several appetizers like scallion pancakes, dumplings, crab rangoon, and my mom got wonton soup which she said was really good! We then moved onto the sushi rolls which were fresh and HUGE! Depending on which roll you get they come in either 4, 6 or 8 pieces! They have specialty rolls, maki, and hand rolls (i got a spicy crab hand roll it was super yummy!!) as well as an a la carte menu you can order even more from (for separate price though). We also got some edmame, egg rolls and green tea ice cream with sugar doughnuts! The amount of food you can get for the price is very reasonable and the quality was great! And for a Saturday night, while it was busy, we didn't have to wait long in between courses of food being brought out! If you're looking for an affordable sushi buffet this is the place!!

Honestly. This place has gone down hill. It used to be decent but we just left there from dinner and I felt like I was served food off a buffet in the back. We ordered an appetizer, sushi, and a meal and everything came out together within about 2 minutes. Definitely not cooked fresh by any stretch of the imagination. How could it be! We sent one meal back that was supposed to have extra sauce and extra spicy, asked for it to be tossed in a pan with sauce to heat it up and give it the extra sauce. Nope. It came back with a little more sauce drizzled on top. It was not warmed up. Everything was dry. Just gross.

While in town for the weekend visiting Sarasota I was in the mood for Chinese food and after searching this restaurant looked like it had the best ambiance and the best rating out of any other Asian restaurant in Sarasota that I could find and great reviews however our food was less than ideal. I should have taken a picture of it but my chicken and broccoli had this weird pink / light red color to it and had a very odd unappealing flavor. It was supposed to be in a brown garlic sauce but had no glaze or garlic to it , there was watery sauce on the bottom that loooked like soy sauce consistency. The rice was not terrible but not good and I would rank it 4 out of 10. The chicken was good quality I hate when I get mushy chicken from Chinese food restaurants so I will give them that however the flavor was unlike any chicken and broccoli I've ever had and not in a good way. I am from the tri-state area so I am a little bit spoiled and I do live in Palm Beach County now where we have great restaurants but I saw there was a PF changs later in the evening and I wish I saw that before because I disappointed my wife and my hunger with this place.

As someone who use to frequent the Ginza at Ft. Myers I thought the two would be interchangeable. That couldn’t be anymore untrue. This Ginza has far subpar, food, service and atmosphere. Between there being a very lackluster options on the menu and the abysmal service you would think what they do serve would be top notch… once again, not true. I most definitely not be returning and would recommend you do the same.

Great qaulity but sometimes the sushi lacks flavor, maybe not enough rice vinegar? Service is also hit and miss.
Tried them again, unfortunately this review is still true.

I have been there 2 times and both of them are disappointing.
I remember this place used to be Chinese food, and they used to be better. I worked at the office nearby, and they used to bring us delicious trays with Chinese food, when we worked overtime on weekends. Those days are gone...
First time I wanted to go for their sushi at lunch time. I was seated at the bar, since I was single, the place was really tight.
Sushi were served with chipped plates, I thought to myself - maybe they just didn't notice. The sushi themselves were uninspiring, sushi rice looked like it wasn't seasoned, tasted like nothing. I wasn't really impressed. I would take Publix sushi rather these.
Second time I went for their Chinese menu, and wanted to order Chow fun first, which they told me they're not making. I ordered chicken and shrimp pad thai, along with three sushi rolls - salmon, spicy crab and California. Pad thai was served in small plates - rice noodles with chicken swimming in sour slime topped with whole peanuts. Same with shrimp. Nothing original. The spicy crab and California rolls were OK, Salmon roll desired to be better. It looked like there's a lot of salmon, but the taste of salmon wasn't very fresh, it was chewy and had unpleasant fish smell to it. It looked like they used not very fresh salmon for the sushi.
Overall place felt cheap, worn and filthy, although they have servers constantly cleaning tables and sweeping floors. I felt rushed out so the table can be available for new customer.
I would not recommend this place. I've been to other places with similar price tag, where food is much more superior. Don't waste your money.

I was driven to try this location due to the positive reviews. I don't know what the reviewers are used to eating, but this was absolutely disgusting.
The sushi was adequate, the General Tzos chicken was hot but smothered in an inedible sauce, and the "hibachi" chicken and steak was absolutely disgusting.
We asked about "steak temperature" (rare, medium rare, medium, etc) and was advised they don't do temperatures, the steak and chicken is pre-cooked earlier in the day.
The steak and chicken arrived with some thick sauce over the top and the fried rice was yellow and flavorless with no vegetables or meats (yellow rice and remnants of egg).
There are MUCH better options in the area than this for all-you-can-eat.

Favorite place for all you can eat sushi! I’ve eaten here regularly for years. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is nice enough for date night, and casual enough for an everyday bite. This isn’t gourmet sushi, but it is decent quality. Love coming here with a group of friends and sharing a variety of rolls

Ginza in Fort Myers is one of my favorite places to eat. So when we found the one in Sarasota, we figured we should try it. Franchises generally follow the same menu and have similar quality, right? Wrong. Both menu and quality of food were very different.
My husband tried the hibachi and the teriyaki. They were out of the beef for teriyaki today, which was fine. And the hibachi was decent aside from the yum yum sauce being more of a pineapple dipping sauce then the traditional yum yum sauce. He said the crab rangoon he ordered had a strange aftertaste so he couldnt finish the order of only 2 pieces.
I tried a number of sushi rolls, the fried dumplings, and tempura. Be warned that the shrimp tempura is not just shrimp, but also tempura vegetables which would have been good to know seeing as we ordered the vegetables too. The rice in the sushi rolls was chewy, like day old white rice from a Chinese takeout place and not like typical sushi rice. And the individual pieces of eel also had a weird taste to them, almost like canned tuna which is very odd.
I do not like making posts that talk so poorly about locations but if you compare this Ginza to the other? It fails on every level. At the very least, I can say that the service was good. Very attentive. I just wish the food itself was worth the price.

This was by far the best, hottest, most fresh, delicious meal that we have had in so long. Not to mention, our waiter was extremely good! He helped explain everything from the second we entered. He keep our drinks filled. He was on top of everything with our food. Everything came out so very fast. You could just tell the oils used to cook our food were clean & fresh. Those were absolutely the best spring rolls I have ever tasted. My husband said the same for his egg rolls. The California Roll was amazing. My kids even ate it with me, for the 1st time & 2 out of 4, loved it! The lomein noodles were extremely good! By far the best that we have tried in SWFL! The rice was better too. It wasn't all dry & crunchy. The restaurant was very clean & the atmosphere was great, with happy families mingling everywhere. 100% a 10/10, must see/must try. The only thing that we missed was the actual hibachi fire show, at the table, but that's okay, the rest was worth it.

I love eating here. I get the 'all you can eat' option. It is not a buffet; they periodically ask you what/if you want more. They are not stingy. The food is great! I go for 'fusion' style sushi, sour/spicy soup, shrimp teriyaki and some of the more 'traditional' squid suchi. Of the fusion stuff, my favorites are Golden California, Ginza Roll and Black Dragon Roll. I have had the food delivered before, but the in-restaurant all you can eat is actually much more economic.

Good food - we order sushi here quite a bit and one of our favorites is the Volcano roll

Very quick service during lunch. Sushi options on AYCE menu are better than the other places.

Pretty much mid tier across the board. Tuna quality is good. Salmon is not. The steak I'm the hibachi is very tough and the rice tastes microwaved. Spicy tuna roll was good. It's the exact quality of an all you can eat so you know I can't really complain but I probably won't come back.

Had the wonton soup. It was yummy!
Waited a bit too long to cash out so I ended up leaving cash and walking out, may have been a newer server, but his manner was cordial.
Pleasant decor and environment.

Just recieved my order, the only thing I asked for was extra spicey. Not even close. More sweet then anything. I ordered hot and sour soup, Singapore Mei-fun, and sesame chicken, all extra spicey. Not even close. Taste like candy.

Place is always busy! That's a great sign. ☺️ They have an all you can eat sushi, hibachi and other Asian dishes. Served on small plates, relatively small portions. Don't order more than you can eat and don't be gluttonous. Cause anything you order and leave uneaten, they have sinage stating that they will charge you for any leftover food. Decent prices. $28.95 for adults, $18.95 under 14, $24.95 for seniors (as of the date of this post) Not served buffet style, which makes it unique and makes it feel as little more upscale. You order each item from a specific menu.
There is another menu for people who don't want to do the all-you-can-eat option.
Food is excellent, sushi and maki are well executed.

This used to be my absolute favorite spot. The sushi was good quality, the hibachi and hot food were decent enough, and their scallion pancakes were to die for. Plus I could satisfy my need to eat 10 krab Nigiri without paying through the nose. But over the years the quality has gone down, the prices have gone up, and the offerings on their all-you-can-eat menu have slowly gotten less and less. The lunch deal used to be an unbeatable price for good quality food. Now it's a stretch unless you're willing to gorge yourself on stale sushi. A few years ago I would've given this a 5 star rating but my most recent visit was incredibly disappointing.

My son loves sushi and we both love buffet so we definitely wanted to try this place. We went for the lunch buffet. It's not what we expected ... You get a menu and place your orders with the wait staff at one price. I'm a vegetarian so options were limited; I had some tofu thing which was just okay, but then I'm not a fan of tofu. The vegetable lo mein was outstanding! The vegetable tempura and fried rice were just ok. The cheese sticks were by far the absolute worst I've ever had and shouldn't even be on the menu. I have no idea what kind of cheese it was but definitely not mozzarella, it had the consistency of ricotta and was gross. As a vegetarian, if I went back, the lo mein would be the only thing I'd order. My son ate his weight in sushi and if that's what you're going for, then you picked the right place. It was fresh and looked it. He thoroughly enjoyed it and said he would definitely go back.

It was okay. Got a few sushi rolls... food came out quick but was not impressed. Very dry BBQ salmon... service wasn't the best. Also didn't like the multiple plates that just sit on each table, and I thought it was very unsanitary. They had a option of all you can eat for like 30ish dollars but decided to just order a few rolls... glad that is what we chose. Not sure I would recommend or will try again. 😮💨🙊

Celebrated a friend’s birthday at Ginza sushi place. The place is dimly lit could use more lighting but it evening so perhaps it was the atmosphere. The all you can eat sushi food was delicious and abundant with a good variety on the menu. They even prepared a special birthday dessert plate for our friend. Will certainly go back again.

Sushi is mediocre. It’s great for the price you pay if you’re looking for a good all you can eat sushi. The people are always friendly and it does seem to stay busy.

Ginza in Sarasota is a delightful rollercoaster of flavor! The all-you-can-eat menu had me ready to break out my sushi sword, but alas, it only covered a few rolls. The rest of the menu is a bit pricey, but hey, good things come in limited bites. Still, the sushi was so good, I almost ordered a second mortgage. Slaying hunger, one roll at a time!

I would give the atmosphere a 2.5, 3 stars seems too much. Ive been to better sushi buffets for the same price- this one is terrible. LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWS. Even if you feel very hungry, and you are considering this as an option, DONT. Unless you dont really care about the quality of sushi, go on ahead.
SEAKING ON THE BUFFET PORTION:
The raw fish here seems... bad. Idk if maybe they just had the raw fish sitting out, but it seemed much more soggy and wet, not as tender as ive had in other places.
The sushi is on par with publix sushi - yeah, not bad but you are paying to eat at a sushi buffet, not a publix sushi buffet. If you paid $12.95 for a special roll, you'll likely be disappointed by it. You do get what you pay for, thats it.
The sushi itself - doused in sauce, hence it being on par with publix sushi. The fish they use, however, is probably of lesser qaulity than publix. But, who cares? Its doused in spicy mayo, so why would you care about the roll itself?
I wouldnt come back personally. I have been to higher quality sushi buffets, and paid the same price, and with better, more creative, sushi rolls.
Im being a little generous with a 3 star rating. Honestly, pick a different place unless you just dont care about quality sushi rolls. All you can eat, though.

do you like high-quality sushi? Do you often struggle with which sushi roll to get? do you sometimes wish That you could have an unlimited amount of sushi? Well, it turns out you can so long as you have $30! Are you now thinking well, there’s no way that the sushi quality is good.... well I am here to tell you that it is! and guess what if you don’t like sushi and you like hibachi or eggrolls or pork dumplings or green tea ice cream you can get all of those included in the unlimited food. I would not recommend coming here for the unlimited all that often just because of the amount of food that you’re going to be eating, but it is fantastic!

Terrible! $14.00 for chicken and mixed vegetables and there were 3 small strips of chicken and lots of zucchini and carrots. Thanks Ginza. It may have cost you all of $1.50 to prepare the meal that cost $14. When you order through Uber Eats you have to add in inflated prices (my meal in the restaurant would have been less than $14). Plus a $9 service fee. Plus $8 to. So $17 to deliver a meal that cost $41 before taxes. Never again.

This was by far the worst sushi I've ever had. We went for their lunch, which to start is half their regular menu options. The sushi was clearly all pre-prepped and sitting in the back as ALL of the sushi came out warm. Sushi with sauces on it had also clearly been pre-prepped... It was just off-putting. I didn't find one sushi I actually liked. Ordered the hot and sour soup and it was not even warm, tasteless, and THICK like a jelly, tasting nothing like hot and sour soup. This place should be condemned and if I was the owner someone would be getting fired.
Not worth it, go eat good sushi at Sapporos or somewhere similar.

Not real hibachi the fried rice hard, dry, & cold could taste the fridge couldn’t have been fresh. The chicken is not real chicken taste like plant based or something steak is not a NY strip very chewy artificial like. Dumplings fair sushi was fresh & must admit the best thing about the experience … soups egg drop & clear are fine. My fiancé ordered their margarita I order a lemon drop with tequila… instead of making me a lemon drop got a margarita with lemon juice added… tried this place first time because our other spot wasn’t opened yet… next time will for sure wait on our hibachi spot, food overall was not made with love or authenticity.

The worst hibachi I have ever had. Unbelievable. The rice was basically Plastic. The meat and shrimp were like rubber. Everything I ordered was a 0/10. Then they tried to charge me extra because I didn't eat the trash food. I can't believe this place has 4+ stars. Crazy what people that live here think is acceptable. Raccoons wouldn't even eat this stuff. I still can't believe I wasted my time here. I wouldn't eat here for free. Crazy the people of Sarasota eat this kind of trash and rate it 4 stars. Shows alot about the intelligence of the people who live in this city
