Our bartender Jacquie was super awesome last weekend! We all enjoyed her presence, she was so attentive, went above and beyond and poured a great drink. RA was great on all fronts. I definitely recommend this sushi restaurant if you're looking for a well rounded dining experience, or just wanna spend quality time tasting the best cocktails made by your new favorite local bartender. Ra Sushi has truly become my second home since the very first time I tried it. With Sunny, Samantha, Andres, Camilla, and Mackenzie, the experience just keeps getting better—they treat you like family and go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. I came in after work to the plantation location because I was in the mood for sushi. I had a fantastic experience to say the least. I was immediately greeted by Alejandro, who I believe to be the manager of that location, and he was very warm and welcoming to me. He made sure I was welcomed with a bright smile and took me to my seat. I was starved and my waitress, Amelia, came immediately to take my order. She was quick and attentive and made sure that I was comfortable and got exactly what I wanted. She was very fantastic all night and definitely gets a 5 star rating from me. Now of course, the food. Let’s just say none of my orders missed. The sushi, the fried rice, the wings, heck, even the miso soup were all delicious. Food tasted even better since it was happy hour. In all, an amazing experience and EXACTLY what I wanted and needed after a long day. Will certainly be returning.

My friend who’s a regular invited me for an impromptu girls night during their happy hour and I came in for the first time. I’m so glad I made it! Andres & McKenzie were so helpful in walking me through their menu & giving me their recommendations. Amazing service, delicious drinks, even better food, and a vibe that is unmatched.

This was my first time here. I came for a business meeting with R.O.C.K Nation as we were collaborating for a Splash back to school event coming up.

As we entered, we were gracefully welcomed and seated. We were served quickly, and the ambiance was quiet and tasteful. Everything was well placed and very clean.

The food was delicious, we ordered several things from the venue and everything was good. I should have taken pictures of everything, but we had a lot of things to discuss.

I was so excited when I found out that a new location was opening in plantation!!!! Decided to try it out this Sunday and everything was above my expectations. Food was amazing. We ordered the wings, edamame,two rolls (Rackin and Crazy monkey roll) and drinks. However What was over the top was our server Ann Marie 10 out of 10 !!!!!!!would recommend make sure you ask for her when you stop in or just sit by the bar!!!

RA was amazing, I had the shrimp tempura & the watch sliders which were on happy hour. 100/100 omg so flavorful, the place was a little busy which might explain the delayed service but otherwise it was great. Great happy hour prices too!Would definitely come back!

Pip was a REAL bartender. She was able to make sure my wife and I he’d drinks (and were fed) while constantly (almost obsessively) scanning the bar to see who needs what. I’m sure she sells a lot because she’s available when you’re ready for whatever. As a retired NYC bartender, I appreciate and respect a REAL bartender. Florida needs more real bartenders that know how to run a bar.

Everything was quite pleasant. There was no wait time to be seated which was great since we were a party of 8 and we had a nice waitress. But after she took our orders it took a while before they came out. And not all at the same time. One by one, with 10-15 minutes between each person's order.

I’ve been a loyal customer of this restaurant, but I’ve noticed some inconsistencies in their happy hour offerings. Every time we visit, the days and portion sizes change. Last time, we ordered sushi, and it came with 8 pieces, but this time, it was only 5. Why the difference?

I also had a berry merry cocktail, but it was quite disappointing for the $16 price. It tasted just like regular Sprite.

On top of that, the all-day happy hour was on Wednesday, but they changed it to Monday. It’s frustrating when things like this happen.

I really enjoy eating sushi, and this place is conveniently located right downstairs from my apartment. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could stick to a consistent happy hour schedule, portion sizes, and menu. If there’s no standard in any restaurant, it’s hard to recommend it to others.

The ladies at the bar are always amazing and professional but slower down by the kitchen. The kitchen needs help. Food always comes out slow and cold and with an item missing. When they first opened it wasn't like this hope it changes. Had the same experience 3 times in a row now.

Some items were delicious, and others I won't be ordering again after going twice. Happy hour prices are really good, and the food options during that time are delightful! I recommend the spicy salmon roll, and the ra ra shrimp is fire. Today, they had some holiday cranberry drinks that made the evening a little more special and festive. Loved it

Olivia was amazing, very attentive and wonderful service. They have both an indoor and an outdoor bar for whatever you prefer, sushi is delicious, happy hour deals are some of the best we've seen, just a great spot and we will definitely be coming back every time we visit.

This was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. The waitress initially brought out the wrong appetizer that I ordered. While mistakes happen, she assured me she would fix it, and to her credit, she did. However, when the main courses arrived, I asked where mine was. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she laughed and asked me to repeat my order. After disappearing into the kitchen, she came back claiming they only had a teriyaki steak left, which was what I ordered. Then, she returned again saying someone else had taken it. Her disorganization and lack of attention to detail were unbelievable. At this point, I was done and just wanted to leave. This level of incompetence is unacceptable in any service industry.

Stopped by last night, and everything about it was on point. The atmosphere was laid-back, the food was fire, and the service really stood out.

Jacob was our server, and he absolutely crushed it. Super friendly, always there when we needed something, but never overdid it.

Alejandro, the manager, also swung by to check in with us, and you could tell he really cares about making sure everyone’s having a great time. It’s rare to see a manager so involved and down-to-earth, but Alejandro made it clear why this place runs so smoothly.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and came out quick. Combine that with the great energy from Jacob and Alejandro, and this spot is an easy 10/10. Definitely worth a visit! These guys will take care of you!

Great Spot, Even Better Service!

Pulled up to RA Sushi last night, and let me just say, the vibe was on point. Chill atmosphere, good music, and the food hit the spot. But what really made it top-tier was our server, Jacob.

This guy was solid, super cool, knew the menu like the back of his hand, and made us feel right at home. He gave some fire recommendations, kept our drinks filled, and just had that laid-back friendly energy. Not too pushy, but always around when we needed something.

The food? 10/10. Fresh, flavorful, and came out quick. Definitely a spot I’ll hit up again, especially if Jacob’s working. He’s the real MVP.

Way overpriced for what you get!! I ordered a miso soup and one sushi roll and my bill was over $30. The soup was ok, but for $19 you would think it would be a nice size sushi roll. Nope! I have gotten better tasting and bigger sushi rolls from Publix for allot less money. Obviously they are charging ridiculous prices for their food due to the location.

Excellent place to have dinner! I’m here visiting the States from Ireland and this was the first time I had sushi and loved it! If you want mediocre sushi, save yourself 50% and go to Publix.

I cannot believe the prices they charge for this absolutely drab sushi. The only thing we could even taste was an overpowering kimchi flavor in the spicy tuna roll. The sliders were overcooked and bland. They found a way to make them both greasy and dry, a true achievement in mediocrity. At least the sliders were a free add-on via Uber eats, but they weren't even worth the effort it took to carry them home

One of our favorite parts of the sushi experience is having ginger and wasabi, and that wasn't even included. We didn't find that out until we got home.

The restaurant was dark and had a "trying too hard to be hip" vibe. The hostess begrudgingly handed us our order and seemed to be pleased to see us leave.

So yeah, 0/10, would not eat again.

I would neverrrr spend another dollar here again. The wagu sliders were horrible, I can get better sliders from the frozen section. All the food basically tasted like conveyor belt sushi at the mall but honestly worse. Especially for the prices they charge. Better alternatives for sushi in plantation are Sushi Sake and Marumi

I've dined in at this location personally before and have always enjoyed my good, but wow. Today I wanted to try the ramen that came with 6 chashu pieces, those were flavorful and great but the broth? I've never had more tasteless broth in my life, and the noodles had barely any flavor. I was just so surprised because normally everything else is super good, I ordered the sliderds which is one of my go tos and they were great as always. I'm not sure if the ramen they ask you to include your own flavorings, or I had a bad batch but!

First off I have to say this restaurant is super nice! Great ambiance and amazing service. It seems very clean as well as it is newer. The food is pretty mid for the price. The actual sushi itself like the tuna was average didn’t really look the best of quality but wasn’t the worst. I also came in for lunch and sat outside and it does have great outdoor seating. There are sushi places all around the area and I can’t justify this being my favorite but it is okay.

A friend & I sat at the bar during happy hour & had to flag down a bartender every time we needed something. It wouldn't have been a problem until we asked someone to take our order and then she relayed the message to the main bartender who then responded "i'm making drinks" and walking away, instead of just telling us that & apologizing for the wait. I used to be a bartender during college and I felt a huge lack of hospitality from them especially on a Friday night. We enjoyed our food and drinks. But one thing to also note is that the happy hour drinks were inconsistent(some were way stronger than others) and had different garnishes each time.

I met some female friends here, and the bartender, Pip, asked them in Spanish if they knew me and if I was bothering them. She was extremely cold to me the entire night. Disrespectful. One of my friends informed the manager and confronted the bartender. The manager was apologetic, but nothing was done; the bartender remained defensive. I recommend staying away from this place. Zero stars.

The worst Ramen I have ever had in my whole life :( Please take it off the menu.

Menu said soft boiled egg but it was hard boiled. Tonkotsu broth had a very weak taste. Noodles were extremely overcooked, might as well be udon. Naruto was cut way too thin.

Honestly as a Japanese person it was my fault for ordering ramen at a place that doesn't focus on ramen. I have just been craving it and good ramen doesn't exist in the area. This did not satisfy my craving.

Ordered a online pickup at 8:30. We came at 9:00 when the food was supposed to be ready and got stuck having to wait 30 minutes. Cold Gyoza obviously sitting out for more than 20 minutes. The sushi was terrible and cold. Would not recommend. The sushi was all shoved in a plactic container and they were all mixed together as if someone threw them in their without a care.It came out to 100 dollars too. For 1sushi platter and a gyoza.I certainly will not be coming again.

5 stars to this RA location in Plantation and an extra shoutout to Amy the manager for the way she runs this restaurant. This was our first time at this location and although we love RA, the Pembroke gardens location was becoming very disappointing, we decided to come to the RA in plantation and we were instantly welcomed with pleasant staff. Our bartender Jasmyn who was very pleasant and attentive as well! You can even tell with the quality of the food we ordered the same things we would order at the Pembroke Gardens location and got double in quality and quantity! If the RA in Pembroke Gardens is your closer location I commend taking the drive to Plantation you won’t regret it! Will definitely be coming here again!

I usually order Benihana at this location. 92% of the time the order is missing an appetizer. Today was no different. No rice, soup, salad or edamame. I ordered 15 wings, only received 12. I called and spoke with the manager, I think his name was Mel. I forgot. Either way he asked if I was gonna drive back for the missing items. No, no I would not. It's not the doubling of the price of food over the past 2 years that will prevent me from patronizing, it's the incompetence and continuous messing up my expensive order.

It’s my very first time at RA Sushi and the vibe was very classy! Our server Rafael was amazing! His suggestions, and customer service was on point. I tried Sake for the time! I had the NY Steak with Lobster Hibachi…10 out of 10.

The sushi was not good at all. I had the impression that it was made elsewhere and then plated at the restaurant. I ordered hamachi nigiri, which was pink colored (wrong) with little flavor, the naughty tuna roll, for which the rice and tuna were both off, and there was no torched flavor. The ikura I ordered unfortunately had to send it back because it was not fresh. I would prefer grocery store sushi.

This review is for the new location at Plantation Walk. The restaurant recently opened, and we finally had a chance to give it a try (10/17/24 during happy hour). The host greeted us by asking us if we could wait 10 minutes because they only had one server; first red flag. Most of the restaurant staff seemed agitated or annoyed that more customers were coming in; second red flag. We sat at the bar where an extremely courteous bartender took our order. I Most disclose that this was the worst sushi that I have eaten in a while. A "rock and roll" roll was served with avocado completely oxidized (grey instead of green). Long story short, this location needs improvement.

75% empty restaurant and we were left waiting 10mins by the hostess, so we decided to take a seat near where the sushi is made despite the bar was filthy, so I wiped it myself. We sat....Not one person acknowledged us for 10mins. I noticed someone who was dressed as a manager rolling sushi and the fish compartment looked sad, so we got up and decided to go. As we were leaving, an employee came to clean the bar and just looked at me and said with shame "I know" and I kept on walking

This place is truly delicious and it’s my first time coming at the recommendation of my sister. The manager, Sunny, was very courteous and attentive to the satisfaction of our experience. Anne-Marie, our lovely bartender, was a wonderful host and I only have the best things to say if you are lucky to have them. I will definitely be back.

Ra Sushi has truly become my second home since the very first time I tried it. With Sunny, Samantha, Andres, Camilla, and Mackenzie, the experience just keeps getting better—they treat you like family and go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. I don’t understand why a quality sushi restaurant uses their fake crab mix on 80% of their rolls. Just charge a few dollars more and use real crab. I ended up ordering the “real” crab roll which was fairly priced, but there are a lot of other rolls I would like to try if they didn’t use chemical fake crab. This is a real miss for a quality restaurant.

Very happy to have this location closer to home, as I like the Pembroke Pines location.. the atmosphere and experience Alejandro the GM has been able to put in effect is a HUGE difference. Great food, great service, great experience. I tell all my staff to go there and meet with Alejandro if possible, such a great guy and very helpful! And bartender Jazmyn has great energy and engagement! Can’t wait to be back

This is the worst experience I have had broward mall at any sushi store. This store is unsanitary, and the raw salmon that they serve with the sushi is completely unacceptable. Today October 8 at 9:20 PM I went to es to make an order for takeout for the same exact three rolls of sushi. I wanted 3 Philadelphia rolls to share between me and my friend. The first thing I tell the lady that is standing in the front desk is to please take out the cucumber. I made myself very clear on this because of how sick it makes me to eat this and my friend does not like it. When open up the food to my surprise all 3 Philadelphia rolls where stuffed with cucumber. And not only that. The raw salmon in the Philadelphia rolls is incredibly awful. I have never tasted a salmon in this condition ever in my life. it was so rotten that half of every piece of salmon in the roll was dark grey when its supposed to be orange-pink. This is something that not only proves the bad quality of the food but it shows how ignorant the employe that was in the front was. The worst part about this is that she made me feel like my order wasn’t important enough to give me the actual thing I asked for and even worse, give me rotten salmon. Since I walked in the restaurant she was not being helpful and did not care about any of the things the ingredients in the maki rolls that I asked her if there was. This is totally messed up taking into account that I paid the exact same thing everybody pays for that same roll and the listed price which gives no reason for me to get a downgrade of the actual product I ordered. I should not say downgrade instead I should say that the salmon was not in eatable conditions. Thinking that all this bad service and ignorance was probably because of me being a minor made my experience more unpleasant. A have been to the Pembroke Pines location many times but this was my third time at the plantation walk location. The only thing that justifies the way that I think is that none of the times that I have came to this location with my mom the service has been this bad. What type of service gives better quality food of the same exact type to their clients based on how old they are? If you are not okay with this then I would not recomend you to eat at this place. At least at the plantation walk location.

Every time we come with a large group they take too long. They missed plates. Super bad, it has happened like 4 times. Way too much. Food is super good. We ended always coming thinking they have improved and nothing.

Horrendous service! Staff very unorganized. We ordered a few cocktails and a bottle of wine for three other people. Waiter assumed the amount of people drinking the wine and brought two wine glasses. Asked two different people to bring an extra wine glass so we could have a drink all together. Waited 20 minutes for the wine glass… had to get up and go to the bar to get it myself.

I will start by saying the food is amazing! Which is the only reason I even tried this place multiple times. But the service is awful. The hostess stand is never staffed and they will always ask if you have a reservation even when empty. They take forever with everything, and again the place was dead both times, we were watching staff wander around. They forgot to ring up things we ordered and we gave up and didn’t want to wait longer by the time we were able to get them over to our table to ask. To top it off I tried a pickup order to try and avoid this service. I arrived 5 minutes after the estimated time and still had to wait another 15 minutes. If you’re in a hurry this is not the place.

I rarely leave a negative review. I was excited to try a new local sushi place. Went for lunch ordered a bento box and my meal took over an hour to arrive at the table. Everyone else had already finished eating. The waitress was very nice but barely checked on us. They don't offer wasabi or ginger with sushi? You need to request it...That is not typical and the wait staff should ask patrons when ordering. Waitress didn't come by to refill drinks or water we had to ask her. The manager comped my lunch to make up for the wait. It's a shame that this place was so disorganized when they barely had any patrons. The food was good and the portion size was decent. There are much better options in the area. I doubt we will go back again.

I feel compelled to post a second review because RA SUSHI in Plantation outdid themselves again. Based on a positive first experience, we decided to host our daughter's 21st birthday family & friends celebration here. Once again, RA SUSHI was GREAT! We are grateful to our INCREDIBLE server, Hannah, who skillfully managed our table of 10, ensuring everyone never wanted for anything and making us feel like valued guests. All the servers and team at RA SUSHI made us feel that way -- taking commemorative photos and helping us with our decor and whatever we needed. One final special shout-out to management -- Amy & Melvin -- they clearly know how to hire, train, manage, and inspire! We look forward to returning.

I was so excited when I found out that a new location was opening in plantation!!!! Decided to try it out this Sunday and everything was above my expectations. Food was amazing. We ordered the wings, edamame,two rolls (Rackin and Crazy monkey roll) and drinks. However What was over the top was our server Ann Marie 10 out of 10 !!!!!!!would recommend make sure you ask for her when you stop in or just sit by the bar!!!

Came to this new location with no expectations and was so pleasantly surprised!!! Rafael went above and beyond to make this a great experience for myself, my husband and our 2 1/2 yr old! It was storming outside but was nothing but sunshine at our table with Rafael… and never an empty drink either! Oh and the food was AMAZING! Garlic edamame is a must and so is their signature Viva Las Vegas Roll!!

We came for the first time on a Friday at 615pm. The restaurant was not busy as there were tables still empty as well as the bar.
Hostess: You have a reservation. No, we don't. Hostess: Let me check if there's any tables available. Yep, no tables are available.

We sat at the sushi bar. I was a little disappointed as there were at least 6 tables available. The sushi bar concerned me as there were more than 4 🪰 buzzing around. Sitting next to the sushi bar, the fish looked slime in the cooler.

We ordered a Crispy Rice Tuna, and it was not fresh fish. The taste was completely off.

Being a chain restaurant, one would assume the quality would be a little better. We ended up closing our tab and going somewhere else for sushi.

Came here for my husband's birthday and the atmosphere and service we amazing! They bring out the food as it is ready so it is so fresh and delicious! I love this new Ra!! The food and drinks are excellent and the happy hour specials are the best around. The people that work there are soooo great - they really want you to enjoy your time there. You feel that mostly if you sit at the bar. The bartenders are all really cool and they seem to really enjoy making cocktails so you get really yummy drinks and even their own special concoctions. Anne Marie should get a special mention - she invented her own pumpkin old fashioned recipe that’s freaking awesome!! 👏

Horrible service. We walked in at 6:30 the main corse didn’t arrive at the table until 8:30. Took forever to get drinks. We had a table of 10 and everyone’s food came out at different times not all together. Horrible management and service
