Sushi and Korean Food
Short wait for a waiter to get assigned to us, but they brought some free takoyaki out and gave us home made cookies at the end of the meal as well so it didn’t bother us. The waitress we had was phenomenal, really funny and very sweet. Sushi itself was about a 7/10, it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding for the price either. Feels like some of the regular rolls should be cheaper, they’re about $8-$10. A lot of the deluxe rolls end up being upwards of $16, and for the quality it feels a bit much. Looks like there was also Korean food and other items on the menu that looked pretty good, we’ll be back to try other items too.

Korean soul food and a great environment. Traveled there for happy hour to get some quick sushi and drinks. The happy hour menu is very limited and we only took advantage of the two for
one beers. I was pleasantly surprised with the bulgogi BimBimbap in which one of the owners explained and prepared the dish at our table with freshening ingredients. The dish was very delightful full of flavor and spices. The sushi was on par with most Asian restaurants.

I remember really enjoying this restaurant when I visited a few years ago. However, when I visited on Saturday night before my friend's birthday party, it turned out to be a bad decision. We waited for a table for roughly 30 minutes, and the staff didn't communicate with us at all while we were waiting. When our table was finally available, it took them another 10 minutes to clean and seat us. Once we sat down, our server informed us that they had fewer kitchen staff because there was no dishwasher staff on that day, so we couldn't order Kalbi. We could only order sushi. I wish they had told us that when we were waiting so that we could have decided whether to wait or go somewhere else.
For appetizers, we ordered Baked Scallop which was good, but there wasn't much scallop or seafood in it. I ordered Spider Roll, Jazzy Roll with Salmon, and Wednesday Morning Roll, while my husband got Rendezvous Roll and Crazy Japanese Roll. Unfortunately, all the rolls were average. The rice was overcooked, and the sashimi didn't taste fresh to me. The deep-fried rolls and ingredients were also very cold. Although I love supporting local businesses, I wish they would pay more attention to the quality of the ingredients and service they provide.

We celebrated our 2-year anniversary at Sushi Lola's and it was absolutely memorable! The highlight was the sashimi - each piece was fresh, expertly sliced, and incredibly flavorful. Along with our wonderful meal, the service was top-notch. Our server, a charming older woman, kept us entertained and laughing, making our evening even more special. It's the perfect spot for a delightful dining experience and great for celebrating special occasions like anniversaries!

Atmosphere and service with fine, however, both me and my husband ordered eel and dragon rolls and got bones in both of our rolls.
I know these can't kill you, but the amount of them and just how unappetizing it is to see bones in your food really took from the experience. They were big enough that if you ate them you could feel them in your mouth. My husband got way more than I did (though maybe I wasn't as diligently looking).
To me it's kind of like cleaning shrimp. If you don't clean it the stuff is not gonna kill you, but it's still gross, and gives the vibe that the chef doesn't know what they're doing well enough to properly clean the shrimp, and in this case, take the bones out of the eel.
Probably won't be going again. Why pay $44 for sushi with bones in the eel when I can go to a different sushi place and pay $44 for sushi that doesn't have bone in it? Also, there is barely any parking. Had to go park at East End Market and walk to the restaurant.

Exceptional Sushi Experience!
I cannot speak highly enough of this hidden gem of a sushi restaurant! Despite its small size, every aspect of our dining experience was nothing short of perfection. From the moment we stepped in, we were greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service from the attentive staff.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the food! Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the freshest ingredients and expert craftsmanship of the sushi chefs. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or a newcomer to Japanese cuisine, this place will surely tantalize your taste buds.
The ambiance was cozy and intimate, creating the perfect atmosphere for a memorable meal. Plus, the attention to detail in the presentation of each dish elevated the dining experience to new heights.
In conclusion, if you're craving top-notch sushi served with a side of genuine hospitality, look no further than this charming sushi spot. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!

This was our first time eating at this restaurant, but it was such a poor experience that we won't be going back. It took over twenty minutes for our server to bring beer to our table of four. She had warned us ahead of time that the kitchen was busy, and we were absolutely okay with that. However, when every table around us had received our food and been sat after us we started to wonder if that was actually the case. Multiple items that had been ordered never arrived, and some of the items that came out were incorrect. The service was beyond awful. There are too many other restaurants that provide better food and service.

We have dined here several times, and that being said we miss Aaron. Unfortunately, we went off our tasty rolls/ginger salads and tried the Korean dishes, the Bulgogi (beef) and the Chicken Bugogi with sides Sad to say all of it was disappointing. Service too was off. May be awhile before we return. :(

Me and my friend literally just left this place. This was my first and LAST time coming here. I ordered the chicken tempura roll. The lady barely speaks English so it was hard for her to understand us and hard for us to understand her. When they brought me the sushi the damn chicken was pink in the middle. They lady was acting as if she was upset because I didn't want to eat undercooked chicken. My friend asked about the Sake Don BEFORE ordering it. But the waiter he couldn't describe really because she barely spoke English. When my friend received the food it was what he thought it would be so he tried it anyway and didn't like it. So he wanted to send it back. I guess it was the manager who came out to speak with us. She didn't want to take the food back and was upset because he didn't like it. In what world does someone sit there and eat an entire plate of food that they don't like? She was mad because it was a 20 dollar plate and she then proceeds to tell us to "never come back." The worst service I have ever received in my life.

Each roll is crafted with precision and fresh ingredients, bursting with flavor in every bite. Whether you’re a fan of classic rolls or adventurous with specialty creations, Sushi Lola’s has something for everyone. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making sure your dining experience is top-notch. This has become my go-to sushi spot, and I can’t recommend it enough!

Great food and great service! The bulgolgi bibimbap is great, just be careful, the dish they serve it in stays hot for a very long time, making it an easy, delicious meal to eat slowly, savoring every bite of that bulgolgi mmmmmm
I love that the rice at the bottom of the bowl was crispy too
The appetizers were really good too! We had this kimchi pancake, and korean dumplings, and some other apps too and they were all great! For dessert, don't skip the tempura cheesecake!!!

Sushi Lola's is OK! We really like the Wednesday morning roll, but it's been hit or miss. At least the food tastes fresh, even if a bit lackluster. We've come in for happy hour, and it's not really a great deal for food. You save roughly $1. Its 2 deluxe rolls for $26 (most of the rolls are $13 regular price and the expensive ones are excluded from this deal), and 2 regular rolls for $14 (the rolls are roughly $7 normal price). If you like wine and beer, though, those are bogo. Keep in mind, they are only open for dinner.

Again, the food was great, but it took way too long for the food to arrive from the kitchen to our table.

My wife and I have been going to Sushi Lola's for years. Not so much now that we've moved a bit further away. Love the food and service. My only complaint would be how cramped it could get when their tables are full of customers. Their food and service trumps that, and I'll continue to come back!

This was my first time dining at Sushi Lola's. It's a medium size establishment with a large sushi bar that is well staffed. They have a great imported beer selection. Their sushi roll selection is massive. I usually get sashimi and nigiri when I'm dining at a Japanese restaurant, but here I tried two orders of different rolls and they were amazing! Next time I'm ordering the sashimi and nigiri.
Also, they have BOGO happy hour drink and sushi roll specials.
The service was as good as to be expected. I'm looking forward to our next visit to Sushi Lola's!

Haven't been back in a while, so figured I'd re-review. I've always liked the quality and taste of their sushi, which is the most important factor for a 寿司屋. Quality and taste of sushi is still great! Wednesday Roll is fantastic! Squid salad is bigger than I thought it would be. Salmon was fresh and large piece for nigiri. Spicy hamachi roll was indeed spicy. They don't have tamago (egg), surprisingly. They always seem to have a few special things on the boards which is nice. It's still a little expensive for me, like a dollar or two more per item than I think it should be... but then everything is so expensive these days that I honestly can't tell. Same people running the show. Korean owned; they even have a page of Korean food on their menu, which I'm sure is good. Clean and simple but also nice inside. More than enough space for atypical hours, but during peak hours it gets crowded quickly and you may not be able to get in without a wait. They have Ramune in various flavors. They also have Eto-en bottle drinks, like oolong and jasmine, but no green tea flavor surprisingly. They have a few tiny tables outside if the weather is good you could eat at with one or two people each.
2018:
Tasty sushi and apps, good tea, good service, good drinks. Seating inside and a few tables outside. Nice people. A little pricey.

The place is small nothing extraordinary.

The restaurant was able to accommodate us very quickly (a party of 7) an hour before close. Space may be a little tight for folks with mobility issues to navigate, but nothing too difficult. Food was made quickly, and quality was delicious. I felt the price was fair given the portion size and taste. Enjoyed that there was a fairly wide variety of options, especially for a sushi restaurant. Our server thanked us for visiting and gave us each a chocolate chip cookie on our way out. All in all, we had a very fun time here and are hoping to visit again soon!

Can’t rate the food as we never got to try it, but the service was terrible: We walked in and were the first in line to be seated. Then, a couple comes in and waits behind us. There were only a few seats available at the bar that the hostess offered us, and we said we would take them. As the hostess was taking us over to the seats, she stops to ask the couple behind us how many people they had and OFFERED THEM THE SAME SEATS SHE WAS TAKING US TO!!! The couple agreed to take the seats and walked over to the seats. The hostess continued walking us, so we all assumed she must be taking us to another table. However, she was just taking us to the same seats she originally offered us, became stunned that the couple were at the same seats already, and then told us to wait for another table to be opened.

Food is so delicious. We went to celebrate our friend's birthday and for apps we ordered Veggie Tempura, Lava Dips, and the Baked Mussels. Our friend is pregnant and they were able to accommodate our request of asking the mussels to baked until cooked through since it's marked as a raw item on the menu. Our favorite was the mussels and lava dips! We got the bulgogi with rice and Korean side dishes and a bunch of cooked rolls, in which they have a good amount of options for rolls that are not marked raw. Our food came out much quicker than I expected, about half the restaurant was filled around 6:30p on a Monday. The bulgogi was really tender and soft, the sides dishes, especially the kimchi we really enjoyed. All the rolls were delicious too, I forgot which ones we picked. At the end they give everyone a choco chip cookie which was a nice touch. A few things to consider is that the tables are pretty close to each other so when it gets busy inside the space gets tight and loud, but that didn't bother us. The space is small so it's good they tried to fit in what they can. Where we sat the a/c was blasting on us so it got kinda cold and made the food get cold much faster. Bring a jacket when you go. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive. Will definitely be back. I recommend going early before the dinner rush to get a good parking spot since the parking lot is limited and shared with other stores.

I’m going to try my best to avoid using swear words but Lord this place was great. The service was impeccable. The staff we interacted with were incredibly sweet and friendly. Sylvia was a delight. I have very few things, if anything at all, to be critical about. Seeing as how we got a diverse range of appetizers and entrees, I’m hard pressed to say anyone will find a hard time not enjoying any dish on this menu. I will be coming back many times.

Great food and incredible service at an authentic local spot - try the Tuna Crunch appetizer for sure!
My daughter and I had dinner here on a Thursday night in January 2022 and we really enjoyed our meal.
Be aware - this is NOT a quick service or fast food restaurant. Some of the dishes take a little more time to prepare, but it's worth the wait.
Our server Yong was incredibly friendly and helpful and offered a few recommendations for us. The chicken bento box was a hit for us for sure. Plenty of food and at a reasonable price.
Give this place a shot - you'll be glad you did!

Haven’t eaten inside sushi Lola in a while so I can’t say how service is but they are a small restaurant that gets really busy so sometimes takeout can take a little longer. The service is really bad if you were Asian. You will be ignored, waiting for a long time, no adding water, with bad food.

The dining experience at Sushi Lola was pretty weird, or I will say, purely racist. We were not greeted at the door and nobody took us to a table for a few minutes when obviously some tables were available.
The older Korean woman was rude to us but very polite to white people. Can you imagine all the waiters keep checking whether the food was okay with white people in the restaurant, but won't even fill up your drinks?
I guess an Asian face is not enough to gain any attention here.
My friends were upset with such differentiated services.
Don't come here unless you like to be mistreated. FYI, the ramen sucks here.
Visited 2 years ago
This is the worst and most racist restaurant you could possibly find in Orlando. We were planing to go to Domu but it was full so we found this Japanese restaurant near by. The waiters were busy attending white guests… who came late but got food ahead of us. The owners and waiters keep checking on the white guests next table, probably more than ten times during our dining time. We were completely ignored… The waitress was rude and impatient when taking our orders. There is a reason why people go to Domu and not this place. Btw, the food was also below average.

I came with a party of three at 7:30 pm. We were told it would be a five minute wait and we were seated about ten minutes later. Not too bad, right? Unfortunately, it then took an additional twenty minutes for us to be waited on. We had to call a server over to give us water and ask where our server was. Every table was full and about half had drinks on the table. The server who helped us said he wasn’t allowed to have an additional table, so I guess he was new or something. After another 10 minutes or so he came back and said he’d wait on us since we’d been waiting for so long.
I ordered a house sake and egg roll to start. The egg rolls, and the rest of the food, were great which is why this review isn’t just one star. The waiter forgot the sake so I didn’t actually get it until after I’d gotten my sushi, and it wasn’t the proper amount (pictured). I had ordered the large and it only filled up a cup and a half. I was a little concerned that it was leftover from another table, but he said that it was the remainder of a pour from the bottle.
The bad rating is because it took so very long for us to have a server acknowledge us, give us water, and take our order. The sushi was good, but I won’t be returning because the customer service was poor.

One of the best hidden secrets in Orlando, well technically I can’t call it hidden because it was a line, but it was well worth it. Best Sushi I’ve ever had & amazing appetizers that both me and girl loved. I will be back again in person or via door dash next week

I loved going to sushi Lola's. It was an amazing experience. We went for my father's birthday and the service was beyond extraordinary with a friendly staff and delicious food. I now recommend everyone to go as well!

This place here!!! Wow,Wow!! Once we were able to be seated I understood how and why the line was outside. It’s a small place when you look at it from the outside but the inside is big. We have already eaten here twice. The Korean pancake is my fav and well their sushi is just as Great!

Some hot-smokin racism at this place. I walk in and the older asian woman manning the floor ignored my daughter and I for a solid 5 minutes. I recognized a neighbor who I was able to catch up with awkwardly from the door while trying to subtly get the woman’s attention (place isn’t even half full at this time).
She enthusiastically hovered around my friend’s (white woman) table and was careful to show me her back as I tried to subtly get her attention from the door.
Suddenly, a white family walks in behind me and the old Asian lady looks over my shoulder in seconds to greet them. The family had to redirect the older Asian lady’s attention to me and my daughter who stood standing there - in shock.
When we were finally sat - again - older Asian lady carefully manicures neighboring tables and I want to say about 10-15 min before I finally got annoyed and started waving my arms - again, place is barely half full.
A younger Asian waitress comes and from there was super apologetic. Food comes out super slow and my daughter finished her food before I even got a bite of mine.
Very tacky place. Never returning.

I always enjoy going here. The food is wonderful as well as the service. Big fan of the korean dumplings and bento boxes but all dishes I've tried are fantastic.

Came here for the first time, was greeted very kindly by staff. The food was very well packaged, decent portions, and yummy. I even found some extra treats on the house. Will definitely be coming back to this place, not only is it close to where I live but they have great customer service

Really disappointing. We sat for more than an hour and waited for our food (two rolls each) and it got to the point where we ran out of time before we had to leave. We informed the server about our time concerns and we were assured the food was almost ready. It was not almost ready. We waited some more and asked for the check and for the the food to be boxed up to go. The check came right away, but the food did not. Eventually we left with only some of what we paid for. Anyplace can have a bad night, of course, but it really felt disheartening to spend on a full meal and not get a full meal.

Sushi was tough. Ramen was unflavored, and service was some of the worst I have ever had.

Claudia really made our night. The sushi was amazing, as usual, but our server was so attentive and nice. I think she was the only one waiting tables tonight and managed to balance so much, while maintaining a positive attitude.

The sushi here is amazing. The service was terrible. There were three servers. Our server told us we were talking too loudly and needed to be quiet… we were talking in regular level voices. She brought us water and then never came back. 45 minutes later, we stopped another server. Claudia saved the day!!! She was doing the service for almost every table in the restaurant! If it hadn’t been for Claudia, no one would have taken our order for drinks and food. Thank you so much for saving my birthday dinner. I hope this restaurant gives Claudia and the sushi chefs a bonus…. While there were three “servers” tonight, she was the only waiting tables and so sweet/patient. Again, the sushi was amazing and the chefs were working hard.

Food is AMAZING!!! The only reason I don't give it 5 star is because the service really sucks. Took areound 15 minutes just to take our order and forever to get the food and check. Need to hire more staff.

Horrible experience. Ordered salmon, 2 other rolls, and beef dumpling (appetizer). Never received water or appetizer (until the very end of the meal), salmon was fishy tasting. Charged us full price for the appetizer and said “here’s your dessert!”. Truly my worst sushi experience ever. Will not be back or recommend.

I had a wonderful experience at Sushi Lola’s. Our waitress was very thoughtful as she got our order. I had four rolls of sushi for dinner. Each was tasted fresh and you could tell a lot of care went in to the making and decoration of the plate. I will come back and eat there again.

I love here for a sushi roll. Luckily I have been here at the happy hour to enjoy two regular rolls a $10. I love how the roll size is, it’s not the jumbo size, but it’s not a tiny small mini roll like the other sushi restaurant with the same price, and you can truly feel in your mouth there is a salmon and avocado in your roll. I tried the soba, and it was also excellent.
For the ppl who want to try soba but don’t know how to eat, follow me.
Please pick up a chunk of noodles and dip it in the soy-based sauce they served with the noodle; the caution here is don’t drink that sometimes it happens, and the reason is it’s very salty.
