Kabooki Sushi - Sand Lake offers a modern take on Japanese cuisine, featuring creative dishes alongside a traditional Kaiseki multi-course dining experience. Led by multi-nominated James Beard Nominated Chef Henry Moso, the restaurant also boasts an omakase, allowing guests to indulge in the chef's seasonal specialties.
We have dinner at Kabooki regularly. When we want to have dinner that every bite will be flavorful. The service has always been great. The servers are awesome. The food is always flavorful and consistent.
We have tried most of the menu. Some of our favorites are: 😋
Sticky ribs
Tom-Yum roll
Yucca fritters
Zen roll
Hokkaido roll
LV roll
Carrot cake
I would suggest trying these. This is a great place for couples, family with adult kids, or meeting someone for dinner.

Review of Kabooki Sushi
As a sushi lover for years, I can confidently say that Kabooki Sushi offers the best food I have ever experienced. If I were a multi-millionaire, I would hire the chef to come to Detroit for special occasions – that’s how much I adore this place!
One highlight of my meal was the ribs, which seemed to be infused with some magical ingredient. They were so incredibly tender that they melted in my mouth without needing to be chewed. The flavor was nothing short of exquisite, leaving me in a state of pure amazement with every bite.
While I enjoyed a delightful cocktail alongside my meal, I must say the food was so satisfying that I hardly needed it. If you're in the mood for an unforgettable dining experience, I highly recommend

Magical Menu Kabooki Sand Lake Review
We had high hopes for this place based on reviews and photos and since they were part of the Magical Dining in Orlando we thought to give it a go.
We started with the Tigre appetizer was a smaller portion compared to the karage but expected for this pre fixed menu. It was fresh and different .. not bad but not something I would necessarily order again.
The Karage Chicken was a generous portion but was so covered in sauce it lacked crispiness.. and came with a sauce to dip it in.. a bit heavy on the salty side but decent.
I wanted to try a cocktail so I ordered their Kabookie Old fashioned. This was a disappointment for the price. I was suspicious from them using Old Forester, not exactly high or even mid grade whisky but I was game so I got it. Holy Heavy Cinnamon Batman.. it should be called a cinnamon old fashioned. You got some cherry bitter notes but it was pretty bad despite the good presentation.
We then jumped into the main course, where we opted for the Double Tekka Roll and Chef’s choice 🍣 .. it was a little on the spicy side but that is fine and the nigiri is a bit mini lol but very nice at least. They gave us tuna, salmon and a few white fish.
We also had the St Louis ribs, which we bith felt was an odd way to showcase their restaurant. The bark or crust was a bit tough but the meat part was very tender and okay tasting. It was almost too tender and I was spitting out pieces of cartilage for most of my ribs. We were impressed with how tender it was but would not order it again.
Finally we go to dessert, and had the C4 lava cake which was a disaster.. we did not even finish it.. it was like a kid put this thing together and used every flavor they coukd find including green onions, lemon, raspberry.. if they would have just had chocolate cake and ice cream, it would be amazing.
The star of the show was their Ube Cheesecake which we had to upgrade for $8 extra which is a bit steep since we already were paying for dessert but none the less, it was the best thing we ate all night and I would definitely recommend.
Wait staff was good and did a good job with clearing and water service.
The waiter did try to push the idea every dish was delicious.. it was a bit much. Like every freaking dish “so this was delicious, I take it..” I mean.. what are we gonna say ?? “Nah bro.. this aint it!” Lol. The guy was a weird and it is too bad because all the other servers seemed normal.
This meal made us both feel ill to our stomach and we would NOT recommend and felt it was overhyped and while the decor was cool with fresh tuna and wagyu hanging up for you to see.. we cannot in good faith recommend this place.

We’ve dined at both Kabooki locations, and they’re equally incredible! This place has everything you want in a night out—a stylish, lounge-like vibe; creative, delicious cocktails; mind-blowing food; and friendly, attentive staff. The oysters are hands-down some of the best we’ve ever had; the moriawase sashimi and nigiri are unbelievably fresh and a flavor journey we didn’t think could be topped…until the ghost roll arrived and blew us away. Each bite was divine—this is a stop-and-savor experience. Every 5-star review is well-deserved. Kabooki is consistently outstanding and our top choice for sushi, without question.

This is probably my 3rd or 4th visit to this specific Kabooki location in the Sandlake restaurant row area!
They recently renovated the location, and the new layout looks great! The bar has been expanded, and seating appears more streamlined!
We made reservations and arrived right on time on a Saturday! We were quickly seated and started off with a bottle of a French Rose' which was flavorful!
We tried the fried chicken bites and some fresh tasting sashimi for appetizers! Both tasted fresh and delicious (the chicken was fairly substantial for an appetizer).
For main courses, we selected a sashimi dish along with some rolls, and both dishes were very delicious! The dessert was chocolate lava cake with ice cream, and everything tasted great!
The restaurant was busy and had a fun ambiance! The service was prompt and not rushed, and overall, it was a fun experience!

Very concerned about the koi fish in the lobby. They are the biggest koi fish I’ve ever seen but the pond they are in is so small. They can barely swim around. I was immediately saddened upon arriving and got even more sad the longer I had to wait next to these fish who are clearly suffering. Practically ruined my meal before I even sat down.

Brandon at the bar is a walking billboard for unprofessionalism. Myself and a friend girl just had dinner here, we sat at the bar and for whatever reason he only gave us 1 menu to share, two adult women sharing 1 menu, odd. I asked for a second menu and he immediately got pissed and his mood changed, visibly upset. He never came back to serve us, which was great because Ryan was excellent. But he was tasked with making drinks for us, he did and basically slammed the drinks in front of us and ignored us when we said thank you. Adult temper tantrums at almost 70 years old is outrageous, very outrageous.

Because we don’t live in Orlando anymore, we hadn’t been to Kabooki in a long time and this was our first time at this location. My husband and I went there on Friday Sept 6 to celebrate our anniversary and it was just hands down one of the best experiences. The decor and vibe is really modern industrial, loved the illuminated look of the bar top.
Our server was Mackenzie and she is THE BEST server we have had anywhere and highly HIGHLY recommend her. Seriously, she was so fantastic, above and beyond (brought us little spoons and a knife to commit cardinal sin against nigiri gods), and really knew her stuff. The waitstaff was always there to clear empty plates and refill our glasses (even though we have a water carafe at the table).
We were a bit overwhelmed with the menu and the specials and really didn't know where to begin, so we asked for recommendations and Mackenzie delivered. Every single one of her choices was a hit, I think the only thing we didn't get that she recommended was the udon but only because we were so full. We got shishito peppers, hamachi carpaccio, double tekka, tiger cream (i dream of the sauce that comes with this), wagyu carpaccio, sticky st louis style ribs, yucca fritters, nigiri moriawase, and finished with carrot cake. Don't sleep on the yucca fritters, this was my husband's favorite.
Overall, it was a bit loud inside due to how many people were there and acoustics, I could barely hear my husband across the table, but that was my only negative. The food was the only thing that needed to speak and it delivered so much more than I had hoped for. Mackenzie, you are amazing and I hope you know how much we appreciate you. Thank you for making this such a memorable experience!

This is a disappointed place. I was super expected before visiting. However! This place is super pricy. We ordered an assorted Sashimi plate. Before ordering We asked the waiter how large it will be. Waiter confirmed that there would be 10-12 prices of different Sashimi with their signature fish. When the plate was served, we are shocked. There are 9 pieces, and each piece were as small as my small finger. These fish pieces all in total would be less than 0. 2lb…and was $60. We felt like we ate nothing after the meal and went to McDonald. Maybe we are poor Canadian…

Not great. For the price, it’s simply not good enough. Very basic rolls, nigiri is basic as well. Not much effort put into any of the appetizers either. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t return.

Had the Magical Dining menu and picked the torched salmon for appetizer. Had the St. Louis Sticky Ribs for entree. Good tender meat and great taste from the crispy tempura, tossed in smoked chili hoisin sauce. I had the C4 for dessert which is chocolate lava cake with dulce de leche, vanilla ice cream, chocolate ganache sauce. Very good. The only bad thing is it took long for my dessert to come out and another 5 to 10 minutes for my friends dessert to come out.
The place is really dark. Had a little trouble reading the menu.
The meal portions are small but good quality from this Michelin rated restaurant.

I am normally not the type to write reviews, but this place absolutely deserves one. The service is over the top. Go for the seating at the sushi bar. The chefs are very entertaining and go out of their way to answer any questions you might have. To say that the staff at this establishment went above and beyond is an understatement. My experience here was absolutely phenomenal. My boyfriend made reservations for our 5th anniversary and they congratulated us and made us a card. Our waitress was awesome and the whole staff was very attentive. Food was fantastic. We got a roll, the nigiri sampler, caviar nigiri and a lava cake desert (I am a lava cake connoisseur and this was the best I’ve ever had). This was definitely the best sushi Ive ever had. The atmosphere was intimate which was perfect for an anniversary. I highly recommend dining here.

Reserved a table for a friends birthday. I almost never leave reviews but this was some of the worst service I’ve ever had. From the moment we sat down our server was annoyed.
Items on the bill were incorrect, waited an hour and a half for sushi rolls (not the servers fault), some of the food including desert never even came, but when we asked to fix a couple items on the bill that were wrong our server Jamie told us she “didn’t have to explain herself” and stormed off, rolling her eyes.
When you spend over a thousand dollars at a restaurant where tip is included, and get constant attitude from a server its extremely disappointing. The manager offered to “compensate” us the next
time we come back, essentially doing nothing to rectify the situation. However I will say, the man bringing out our food and refilling our drinks (I believe his name was Colin) was extremely friendly and made our experience overall better.

I thought this place was surely a horrible choice for sushi, with the all-too-typical Kabuki name, misspelled! But ignore the name. After having this pop up on multiple reccomendation platforms, and finally a direct recommendation from a friend, we tried this delicious restaurant. Don't just go in for some edamame and a sushi roll; try something new!
Don't think you like raw fish? Maybe you just haven't tried it like this. The finely-aged sashimi was divine. Each cut of buttery fish was perfectly delicious, with generous portions of sashimi. The ube cheesecake was divine.
Troy is an excellent server who knows and understands the menu.

I made a reservation at 8:15 and they told me to come at 8:30. When I got there they told me that I had to wait 30 minutes until they can serve me . So I waited and then came back to the restaurant, they told me I still had to wait. Then we came in the restaurant to be served. The lady served us good with the drinks and the soup. Then she left and we were waiting for our food to be served by the chef. We had to wait 1 hour there with no food and I had 3 kids with me .There was people that came after us and they were already being served. I was so mad at the workers there because I feel like they were being racist since we were black and the others people were white that were being served. Then I had to leave because my kids were starving and they weren’t coming. I gave a bad complaint to the workers and then I left the restaurant. I don’t recommend this if you have kids that are really hungry.

No longer going to be regulars
We've been coming to this restaurant for years now on a semi-regular basis (maybe about once every other month and also for any and all special occasions) and have never had any issues. However, tonight we made a reservation for my partner's birthday and had probably one of the worst restaurant experiences in recent memory. We were largely ignored by our server despite the restaurant not being busy, and felt like we were bothering him every time we wanted a drink refill. The worst part tho was our main course didn't arrive at the table for 45+ minutes. We asked our server about it around the 25 minute mark since that was the point it was starting to feel excessive, and it seemed to us both that he forgot to put the order in, but he didn't want to admit that to us. Our order then came out wrong when it finally arrived, and by that point we were tired and just done with being there. The server didn't really offer to take it off our tab despite us being unable to eat it (the error was a dietary restriction because I’m vegetarian), but luckily when we asked he said it wouldn't be a problem. We've come for birthdays in the past and always been offered a free desert at the end of the meal, but tonight the server didn't offer it. We asked about it and he said he would bring it, and even tho there were only 4 other tables sat in the restaurant it took 20 minutes to come to the table. We've loved coming here for the attention to detail, but it seems like that's no longer important at this business. Also to note: every time we've come the place was PACKED and the environment was great. Tonight there were hardly any tables sat, so I guess we're not the only ones falling out of love here- seems like other people are catching the drift that something has changed, and not for the better. Disappointed, and left hungry

Quality of food was good but quantities were very, very small. We were 6 on the table and I could've eaten everything by myself. Music got louder and louder as the evening went by.

While the service, ambience, and cocktails were great, the food itself was lackluster. The truffle parmesan edamame was bland, the sticky ribs were mostly fat and low quality meat, and the sushi rolls were very small and lacked flavor. Overall poor quality and taste in food. You can get higher quality food for more affordable prices elsewhere. I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews but unfortunately my experience was disappointing.

I consider Kabooki the place to fine-dine when it comes to sushi. I’ve been here many times. The quality of the food is immaculate.
Over the past year, I’ve noticed a remarkable reduction in the portions of the food and in sizes of individual sushi. I did also notice the past couple of times that the servers are not as “poetic” when describing the dishes which is something that I always admired about this location and always made it feel so classy and exclusive.
When I come to Kabooki, I’m expecting the top-of-the-top experience, taste of food, service and atmosphere. I was slightly disappointed compared to the many times I’ve been wowed before.
I’m still a fan, because I am not a fan of Zeito close by. I hope that next time I celebrate my anniversary I can enjoy Kabooki the same way I always describe it to my friends.

Completely Unacceptable Treatment
I had an incredibly disheartening experience at Kabooki. My service animal, which accompanies me for medical reasons, was outright denied food by the manager named Brian. To make matters worse, he also closed the tab and cancelled the order we had already placed. Blatantly disregarding the presence and importance of my service animal.
Such actions are not only discriminatory but also show a lack of compassion and understanding of the roles that service animals play. It’s disturbing that a place that serves the public would exhibit such a lack of empathy and legality. I urge potential patrons to reconsider supporting a business that does not uphold basic decency and respect for all customers, regardless of their needs. This experience has left me deeply upset and I strongly advise against visiting Kabooki.

Having been to Kabooki twice before and had great experiences, we were excited to celebrate my mother in-law’s birthday at the Sand Lake location. The service wasn’t great from the very beginning but became shocking when they brought out 3 of 4 moriawase orders. We put them in when our server told us it was last call for the kitchen. After stating he was sorry, he thought we ordered three, he went and asked the sushi chefs if they would make another. They said no. So one of our guests didn’t get dinner. He said the manager would “do something” and apologized profusely but, even more shocking, the manager never came to our table. I definitely won’t be eating at Kabooki again. There are plenty of other great sushi restaurants in Orlando.
* Update *
The manager did finally come talk to us and they did comp quite a bit of the check. I worked in the food industry for nearly 10 years and I understand mistakes happen. But when a mistake means a guest doesn’t get dinner, the manager should have come to the table immediately and the guest offered something. Not something free next time or a discount on their bill but actual food since they are now leaving your restaurant hungry.

Everything is top notch. $150 a person is about right. Waygu sampler hot plate was a perfect ramp up to exquisite sushi. (The hot plates drew attention, but I can't hold the restaurant responsible for the stares of rude guests.) The cheesecake and C-4 desserts were a perfect finish.

Nigiri pieces are far too small. Ordered moriewasi and was disappointed. Other places in the area are much better. Sashimi was fine but had a bit of fishy aftertaste which is ok probably for most but i eat quite a bit of sushi/sashimi and definitely know what I'm talking about. Rolls were fine. Overall, it's not bad, but for the price I expect better.

~Tuna Flight (2.5/5): came with tuna, chutoro, and otoro. The cuts are smaller than average, and the flavor was okay. The temperature of the fish was a little off for me
~Maguro Truffle (2.5/5): Could not taste the tuna nor the truffle. The crispy bits on the outside were good but overpowering
~Ebi gyoza (3/5): not sure why I expected these to be steamed, but they were fried, but the wrapper was too thick and chewy. The filling was good, but under seasoned. Came with a mojo sauce under which I found confusing
~Wagyu Flight (3/5): Can't go wrong with Wagyu. VERY small portion for price. Came with A3, A4, and A5 wagyu that you cook on a hot stone
~Sashimi Moriawase (3/5): Came with some unique fish. The cuts were weird, and you get 10 pieces of fish for $60. Some of the sauce tops were not good
~Ghost Roll (3/5): While the sauce topped with is was tasty, that was all you could taste. Could not taste the eel or salmon
~Hokkaido Roll (1.5/5): the MOST disappointing item. The scallops tasted like literally nothing.
~Sticky Ribs (2.5/5): this came out last after all our sushi, so timing wasn't great. The ribs were somehow soft but dry at the same time. The sauce was VERY hoisin forward. Couldn't taste any chili
Overall, this place was far too expensive for the quality of their food. Has good atmosphere and service, but the food was lacking.

We love Kabooki Sushi and come in at least once a week at this point. We return for the great food and AMAZING service that is ALWAYS provided from Hannah, Savannah, Jamie and McKenzie. We absolutely love them all and have never recieved anything less than perfect service from any one of them. They are the reason for our frequent visits.
Looking forward to the next time we are in to see you all and enjoy the amazing as always food, drinks and service! 😀😁😀

What an amazingly cool, fun, friendly and attentive staff. The sushi is outstanding. Cocktails are really special. The bar is swanky with lighting that makes everyone look like Hollywood stars. Such a brilliant end to my long day. Go there, eat and drink a lot, and tip well.

My spouse and myself love to come to Kabooki Sushi. Everytime we come there our experience is perfect. The food is always incredible. However, we return mainly for the staff. Savannah our bartender is knowledgeable, warm, amd keeps us coming back. She makes our experience that much better. Thanks you for the great food, atmosphere , and kind staff. Thank you Savannah. Tonight was incredible as always , yet not surprising your energy is always enjoyable .

What do you think of when you think of a modern, nice sushi place?
Well this place is that and more lol
Such a nice environment, my girl and I had a wonderful time, staff was fantastic to us, and every single bite we took from our food was divine.
It's also less expensive than I thought for how good it is, so yeah, that's good too!

Yum! It has a bit of a lounge feel, dim lights and music (a bit loud, but still able to converse). Bar/counter was packed and most tables were full by around 630 on Monday evening. Service was good! Everything was delicious. Parmesan truffle edamame were amazing! Udon truffle with lime foam was so good, and a large serving for an app. All our sushi was fantastic!

Wow! Wow! Wow! Best sushi I have had. I read the Chef was up for best Chef in Orlando, or something like that. I am uploading pics of the food. The sushi was fresh, delicate, and perfectly seasoned. Our waitress was great. One dish we did not care for was the spicy tuna. She inquired what we had like best so far. We told her the Yellowtail. She exchanged the dish we did not like for a Yellowtail dish and it was delicious. Although, it is located in a stripmall, once inside it feels like fine dining. Only slight negative is it was a tad noisy. Oh, in addition to the sushi, they have a huge whiskey and bourbon selection. If you are looking for sushi, trust this review and go to Kabooki. Wait - that rhymes.

Hands down the best I've ever had. Not only the sushi but everything on the menu is amazing. DO NOT let the strip mall location fool you.

Decided to stop in for a walk-in dinner. I didn’t have a reservation so I wasn’t offered a table but the bar worked out perfectly fine. The layout is pretty nice and decorative. The bartenders know how to mix their spirits well and they are very knowledgeable.
I can tell the fish is very fresh, and they also have the fish hanging in the fridge where the Omaske experiences are (in front of sushi chefs).
I got this sashimi platter, and there were many different options. All delicious.
Honestly, a perfect dinner spot if you have a reservation. But if you don’t, the bar is big enough, just for you to sit at.

We arrived without a reservation at 8:30pm and they were very busy. Their staff were friendly and when seats became available we sat at the sushi bar. They are currently renovating to expand and will have a separate regular bar once it opens. Our server was wonderful. The atmosphere was perfect for an evening out in a cocktail dress. Their sushi was tasty, but expect to spend at least $30-50 just on the sushi to get enough for dinner. Their cocktails were excellent. Their Ube cheesecake was so good I ordered a second slice to go. I would (and plan to) return just for dessert and cocktails next time I visit Orlando.

We came for dinner and had a terrific culinary experience! The berkwood st louis sticky ribs were to die for. LV and booki booki rolls were both amazing in their own way. Last but certainly not the least, the desserts: carrot cake and ube cheesecake were equally amazing - a close tie I cannot decide!

Kabooki: Sushi Bliss and Cool Vibes
Kabooki is a go-to spot for sushi lovers seeking a perfect blend of great flavors and a cool atmosphere. The sushi here is top-notch, delivering a delightful experience with each roll.
The vibe at Kabooki is undeniably cool, setting the stage for an enjoyable dining experience. It's not just about the food; it's the entire ambiance that adds to the allure.
For those who appreciate a good pour, the selection of Japanese whiskey at Kabooki won't disappoint. It's the kind of place where you can unwind with a fantastic drink in hand.
Kabooki has left a lasting impression, and I can confidently say that I'll always come back for more. Whether it's the sushi, the vibe, or the whiskey, this place has all the ingredients for a memorable dining experience.

We have been coming to Kabooki for a while now and Mackenzie is one of the best servers I have ever encountered across the board. Not only does she provide the best recommendations, but she actually takes the time to remember who you are. We hadn’t been in a while and were lucky to have Mackenzie serve us again and she knew not only our drink order but that we always order the Maguro truffle. If that isn’t high quality service I don’t know what is!

Great quality seafood. Small portion sizes for sushi and sashimi. Very pricey but worth it if you are a sushi connoisseur

Amazing sushi place - my husband and I were astonished by the quality of the service and the food. We sat on the sushi bar, which was even better. They have more than 50 types of sake, a pristine selection of fish with dry aged options, amazing sushi combinations, with very interesting layers of flavors. The nigiris were to die for, and the desert, by far the most beautiful and delicate carrot cake I’ve eaten - we’ll def come back!

I just ate one of the best meals I have ever had. Eight of us descended upon Kabooki Sand Lake and proceeded to feast for two and a half hours. Tina helped guide us through the menu in a lovely showing of their imaginative sushi appetizers, nigiri/sashimi a la carte, and a few warm dishes. The exotic and unusual fish selection available is outstanding - I haven't seen this kind of variety since I lived near Dulles airport and regular flights brought in fabulous fish to my favorite local sushi bar. (Admittedly, I now live in a food desert, so I am not exposed to great food very often). The Atmosphere, admittedly, may not be a 5, as they were in the middle of an expanding renovation, but they have done a great job of keeping the dining room inviting and the construction quietly hidden away. What a meal!

I had heard a lot of Kabooki sushi from associates. Somehow, I had not had the chance to dine here until last week. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated promptly. The menu is interesting. High on sushi and appetizers but not on traditional japanese entrees. Everything we tried the crab sampler, shishito peppers, miso soup, etc., were delicious. Korean fried chicken was okay. It was a nice meal but very expensive.

First, let me say that my husband and I really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Kabooki Sushi. The food was truly unique, delicious and beautifully plated. Ingredients were clearly fresh and high quality, with a number of fun surprises on the menu.
It was quite busy for a Thursday evening, but we had a reservation & were seated right away. Sadly we were on a 2 top nestled snugly between 2 other (full and noisy) tables, when there were several open tables that were more secluded or would have been much more romantic for such an occasion. However, they had a nice happy anniversary card printed for our table and decorated the dessert for the occasion too.
Service was good, quick and accurate, but our server was not terribly personable. Would love to come again and try out some more menu items. Might just sit at the bar though, as it was definitely loud and dimly lit at the tables. Glad we did not bring our kids for this one.

Terrific.
Tried two drinks:
These Violet Delights - exquisite and sweet. Very unique flavor
Green Light - fantastic
We did magical dining and loved it all.
Hamachi Carpaccio - exquisite. Loved the sauce. 4 pieces.
Leche de Tigre - arguably the best thing we had. Their ají amarillo is spectacular. 4 pieces.
Kasei Don - delicious. Loved it. Good portion too!
Double tekka - surprisingly good, but arguably the weakest thing we had. But still delicious!
C4 - a home run. One of the best
Mochi Trio - ours were only green tea flavor, but were fantastic.
Would absolutely recommend and go back.

This place is off the hook. Food was on another level. Drinks were on another level. Honestly, I must say this is one of the best meals I’ve ever had from appetizers to dessert. Eric was our server and he was awesome as well. This will be a staple for us. Five stars across the board. Cheers keep up the good work!

Such an intimate little restaurant that really appeals to the not as adventurous eater (my husband) as well as the incredibly adventurous (me). He got the sticky ribs and they were out of this world. Never enjoyed ribs that much. And I had the tasting where the chef makes up what they have fresh and is unique. It was an amazing experience and our server was incredible. I asked that she wrote down the fish I had and she did. No question asked and was so sweet. We were celebrating our anniversary and they put a little table sign that said happy anniversary and we got a dessert on the house. The atmosphere was so romantic and intimate, great music and wonderful drinks. We'll be back!

The food was good. Equivalent to any other good sushi place I have been to, but none of those are as expensive.
I was never asked if I wanted a second drink. That was unfortunate.
It was so noisy we had to yell at each other at our table to be heard.

They close at 9:30 not 10. Do not be fooled by the 10pm on their hours. We had reservations for my birthday at 9:15 and showed up at 9:12. We were rushed to order and told the kitchen closed in 10 minutes when we sat down. We paid $200 for our meal. Tried to order more food at 9:32 and was told no the kitchen is closed. For the amount we spent that is NOT customer service. They are more concerned with getting out on time than serving guests in their restaurant. I have been in the service industry for over 15 years and this was a BIG disappointment.

An upscale Japanese sushi place the menu is somewhat smaller than typical but highly focused. Food is uniquely expertly prepared and delicious.
It is currently under construction inside so there is a gigantic black plastic sheet to compete with the otherwise striking decor. Otherwise they atmosphere would have been a five.
It is on the pricey side versus your typical Japanese Fair in Orlando that said it is a cut above in terms of quality and preparation.

We are at Kabooki Sushi for dinner on our trip to Universal Studios. We arrived a bit early for our reservation, and the waitress got us seated ASAP. The atmosphere was dim and chill.
Our server Mackenzie was amazing. She took the time to explain the menu, fish, preferences, and even made sure to ask about any allergies. She was so sweet all night even though it was a busy night. GIVE THIS WOMAN A RAISE!

We loved the food, it is delicious!! Fresh and exotic! We had some veggie appettizers and then some rolls. We were celebrating a b-day and they put a candle on a dessert!
Only thing I did not like was is so full of people that is a little noisy but the atmosphere is still nice

Some of the best nigiri I’ve had in Florida. The wagyu tasting was delish. All of the food and cocktails are complex yet simple. Don’t leave Orlando without eating here! Need a reservation for Omakase but servers can help you create the same experience.

I will suggest that you make reservations as it can get busy. It is a wonderful restaurant for date, celebration or just a night out with friends. We started with the gyoza which were very tasty and the sticky ribs. Let me tell you about those ribs, they were FANTASTIC, so flavorful and delicious. I order the Nabe and it was not what I was expecting but so glad I did. The rice and all the different ingredients combine were just rich and delicious. Sushi rolls were fresh and tasty. Dessert was the best way to finish our dining experience. Service was amazing, prices were reasonable for the food quality and presentation. Some might think dishes are small for the price but for us was a fantastic experience.
