My 1st time here, and IT WAS AMAZZZZZZIIINGGGGGG!!! Chef F was SUPER GREAT, and Asia was the best Host!!! Let me tell you something, if you haven't been here.... GOOOOOOO!!! It's standing only and you have to make a reservation. It only takes 8 people and let me tell you. Just get the Chefs special so you don't have to be thinking about what you want. Everything just melted in my mouth, and it was so fresh and clean!!! Just come. Just come on down because my words can't even express how good this please was

I was used to eating at the most delicious sushi places in Los Angeles, but after moving to Orlando, I struggled to find great sushi places here. That changed yesterday. Thanks to many reviewers before me, I decided to give Edoboy a try.
My first experience at Edoboy and i absolutely loved it! The concept of standing up while eating was new for me, but if anything it helps digestion. For my first time, I tried several items from each section. I highly recommend Uni sushi, Akami-uni-toro, Blue crab and Unagi handrolls. The person next to me had the ‘Baller’s set’ and I had food envy as every piece looked like a piece of art. The very friendly and helpful waitress and an attentive chef made my experience even more perfect. Thank you!!! I’ll be back.

Enjoyed a birthday celebration at Edoboy! Reservations open up the week of when you’d like to go; and though we had more in our party than the allowed via their online reservation service, they do advise to call/email to see if they can accommodate. Sure enough they were able to and we got our full party in (6 people).
Food was great, service was great! It was all very easy and minimal. Keep in mind it’s “standing sushi” so it’s good because the food goes down easy haha but you have this feeling like you’re being rushed. Not the case! So do your best to enjoy the tastes and the company!

Best sushi I've had anywhere. Better than in Tokyo, LA or San Francisco. The personal service from the sushi chefs is really a wonderful part of the experience. It isn't cheap, but it shouldn't be. Their uni tastes like butter. Save up, splurge, you're welcome.
Still awesome... went back tonight (5th visit).

This is by far the absolute best sushi I have ever tried. I was in town for a 17 hour layover and decided to try EDOBOY after seeing great reviews. It’s a standing sushi bar and each bite was perfectly constructed to perfection. I ordered the baller set and shared warm sake with a few nice patrons. Asia and Christine were personable and talked to each individual calling them by name and were extremely helpful! This is a must try for foodies and sushi lovers!

So to start, it took some effort to finally get this reservation, as they have very limited seating and only open reservations for one week at a time (and we can only do nights on the weekend) parking was plentiful, which can’t be said for most places on mills. So we showed up a few minutes early, but the kitchen was running a little behind so we started about 20 minutes late. This was ok because they offered drinks while we were waiting outside. Once inside we had a nice concierge experience. The decor was fairly minimalist and nice. We chose the chefs “baller” chefs tasting set. Each course was amazing, and we loved it. Some of the courses were of the best sushi we’ve had in a long time. We feel this venue is deserving of their bib gourmand status with Michelin. Service was excellent. Only downside is that I would prefer a pacing that is a little slower, maybe if they slowed it down to an hour and a half instead of one hour, it would work out much better. Currently it feels a little rushed. We do appreciate the intimate environment, and we don’t mind the standing aspect of it, as many excellent sushi venues in Tokyo are standing only. Overall, we recommend this restaurant, and we will be returning in the future.

There aren’t enough great things to say about this place. Every time I leave, I find myself raving to anyone who will listen about how exceptional the food and atmosphere are. The sushi is so incredible it might leave you weak in the knees—and not just because you’re standing! Their passion for the craft is undeniable, and it truly shines through in every bite.

Would love to give Edoboy 10 stars. We have been here about 10 times. After the first time, we realized that it was so good, that we were willing to not go out to eat elsewhere to save our money to go here regularly instead. It is the best quality omakase style nigiri for the price. And the staff is awesome and attentive, with the perfect atmosphere for a date night. Love Edoboy!

This place blew my mind. I enjoy sushi, but am pretty particular about it. The company I was with less particular and far more experienced with Sushi than I am, having been to many more Sushi places than I have been to. And minds (plural) were blown. This place is special. This is without a doubt the best sushi I have ever had and would love to come here once a week (I normally indulge in Sushi about once every 5-6 weeks). The Sushi was divine, the ambiance very comfortable and understated, letting you just relax and enjoy absolutely incredible sushi for very reasonable prices, considering. On top of that very friendly staff, leaving our experience one we will treasure for a very long time. Cant wait to introduce and share this delight with others.

By far the best sushi in town! It was my first time going and had the best experience! It is standing room only so wear comfortable shoes. Our time there flew by we didn't even notice we had been standing for over an hour. We each ordered the ballers set and it was so worth it! Each piece had its own special qualities. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The staff were very nice and helpful. You have to book a reservation online and times drop on Mondays for each week. Make sure to check their page for available time slots. There were only a few time slots left when we booked. But I'm glad we decided to go. Everything about Edoboy was above our expectations. We will definitely be back!!!

This was a terrific experience; highly recommend. The food quality was exceptional. Be prepared to stand (not a big deal but there are no seats). The atmosphere is spartan but who cares? The food will knock you for a loop. Service was very friendly. It is a little loud because of the hard surfaces, making it difficult to hear the chefs but they're very willing to talk to you about what you are having. Go!

One of those meals you have where the enjoyment lasts all through the night and even the following days. Edoboy meets and exceeds the mark in delivery, taste, experience and service. We did a team outing recently and we all selected the Baller Set and it was outstanding. We love being served the first bite and drinks just within minutes of getting situated. Everyone in the team is also cordial, friendly and looks out to deliver a great experience.

I've been to Edoboy multiple times, and have always been extremely pleased by the service and food provided by Head Chef Tyler Inthavongsa and Chef Francis Varias. Since there are only 8 available "standing" sections, each chef takes 4 guests to serve and make the appropriate dishes. When you enter, you're given a sheet of paper with the list of items you can mark down with a pencil of the pieces you want to order, with a maximum of 12 pieces.
The good: Any of the pieces you order will be phenomenal! If you're still hungry, I highly recommend ordering the Matcha S'more, as it's absolutely delicious.
The bad: They do have a limited supply, so if one guest orders, for example, 4 pieces of Madai (Japanese Sea Bream) and you wanted to order just 1 piece of Madai, you will NOT get that 1 piece if they've run out of it.
Overall, Edoboy is an amazing sushi spot, and love that they focus on nigiri. I would highly recommend dining here!

I come here multiple times the past 2 years and they keep getting better and better. My favorites are the torched pieces and the miso soup. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Edoboy is my go to place for an amazing and unique sushi dining experience. I have celebrated bachelorettes, birthdays and solo nights here and enough cannot be said for the level of service the chefs and staff offer every single patron. The intimacy of the venue and the limit of the time and size of parties is perfect for this experience. If you want you can enjoy on your own or engage with the parties around you quite easily. The quality and preparation of the sushi is exceptional every time I visit.
Try everything on the menu at least once, as I have, it will expand your sushi vocabulary. And if you have any room, do not skip the miso soup and dessert. The matcha s’more is incredible if it is still available. Also, you cannot beat the price for the experience, it’s not cheap at all, but I will dare to say it’s on the level of some Omakase experiences but at a better value.

Great place for high quality sushi in a more casual environment! I originally thought I wouldn't be full with the 12 piece restriction, but I left surprisingly satisfied. To me, the best bites were aka ebi and hotate+uni nigiri. Prices are high, but the quality of fish is also top notch. Chefs are friendly. I'd come back!

What an experience! My wife and I came for my birthday, and we got the baller set. It was worth every penny. Every piece is expertly crafted with each of them sending you on a favor journey. I've never had to pause and wait for flavors to go through stages of tastes like this.
Definitely will want to come back and try the normal menu items, but you have to try the baller set at least once!
The service was impeccable. Having only around 8 people at a time allows them to dedicate as much as they can towards the experience. Nothing was ever rushed, and we were always taken care of.
They also had a very cute sign setup to wish me a happy birthday and was just such a sweet gesture.

Everyone just stands around the bar to eat. Had high hopes, but won't be going back. Not a wide variety, but for the price, it's alright for a quick bite. Got the basic 8-piece set, covers most nigiri options. My friend went for the fancier version, felt like a deluxe upgrade with lots of toppings. Sweet shrimp and scallop were tasty and fresh. Some nigiri could use more seasoning to balance the fish flavor. Maybe trying the torched nigiri with mayo would be better. Hand roll was just okay in terms of texture.

Small space with standing sushi bar that fits 8.
Astounding sushi for the price. The quality of rice and fish at Edoboy rivals some omakase I have had at 2-3x the cost. I recommend selecting your 12 pieces yourself. It’s probably hard to go wrong with any selection, but overall I found the simple raw nigiri more compelling than the torched pieces (which were still delicious). My favorites included the lean tuna, scallop, and eel and crab hand rolls. The miso soup add-on was also balanced and complex.
Just personal preference, I would have preferred seating as opposed to standing. But I might run on a treadmill if it meant having these pieces available for the price.

Purposely chew slowly, because the flavors are fantastic. You stand for an hour, but I didn't even notice because I was excited to try each piece that was prepared.

So, there are elements of this restaurant that are nice (standing sushi bar - what's not to love) and the food is pretty decent. But, be prepared still to be hungry since they limit the quantity of sushi you can have. Also, since they're very regimented with the number of seatings they do per day, I felt very rushed to eat and leave. Great in concept, but in practice, left more to be desired.
This is definitely more of a Disney-esque fad, and I'm glad I had this experience, but I'll never go back.

Incredible selection of fish, great allergy awareness, loved the atmosphere and great staff. They will serve drinks in line while you wait for your time slot so on a nice night it was great getting there a little early.

Orlando has a thriving sushi scene. There's an increasing emphasis on the omakase experience here, but EDOBOY stands out. You get omakase atmosphere and sushi quality without the set course experience. It becomes something incredible with its willingness to do its own thing while maintaining an unwavering focus on quality. It's both relaxed and regimented; come as you are but you will be in and out within an hour as scheduled. You simply can't go wrong coming here.

Incredible experience!! The sushi was the best I’ve ever had. It is omakase and there are a couple of different ways to order so it’s not just one set menu. You can pick which sushi you want but are only able to order 12 pieces or you can choose a preselected menu. They do serve saki and beer, it is a standing room experience so yes you stand the whole time but you won’t even notice because the sushi is that amazing. You are on a time slot of an hour but definitely a unique experience! Perfect for a celebration, date night or if you just want to treat yourself

My friend and I decided to try Edoboy because of the good recommendations received from people who had been there and the fact that they are on the Micheline Guide.
The first thing to keep in mind is that the experience is meant to last one hour or less, similar to on-the-go standing sushi spots in Japan. They are able to accommodate up to 8 guests at a time. Time slots are released every Monday at 12:00pm via RESY for the current week and they do fill up quickly.
Their regular (sushi) and torched nigiri (aburi sushi) menu is quite overwhelming. Their menu says that each piece of sushi is pre-brushed with house shoyu, wasabi, and/or toppings, which definitely makes a difference in the flavor of their fish.
We tried about 12 pieces of nigiri and they were all fantastic. Every single piece of fish that I tried melted in my mouth. Favorites: Toro, Hotate, and Sake-kewpie.
Besides nigiri, I tried their miso soup, which had a pleasant underlying shimeji flavor, and the Sake Ikura, a temaki made of faroe island salmon + salmon roe + shiso. The temaki was pretty good but would have liked it better if the size were bigger.
I definitely recommend Edoboy for its uniqueness and high quality fish.

Probably the highest quality and freshest fish in Orlando. Great experience. Every item was delicious and a delight to the pallette. The price is definitely worth it! You would probably pay $200+ if this was in NYC or Miami.

I chose my own pieces instead of a set for my experience. It does make it slightly more difficult but the uniqueness that the chefs give to their hand rolls and torched pieces are absolutely worth going out of your way for. I wasn't too keen on the scallop topped with uni so I'd trade that for something else next time (really enjoyed the striped jack). I also wish the "baller set" miso soup was a choice on the regular menu. Overall a really wonderful experience that left us very much satisfied and excited to go back again.

This is a place for eating sushi the way it was intended - quickly. The standing is a cool vibe. The fish is really good but a bit over sauced with soy. This was my first experience with raw sushi. The quality of the fish was top notch. I had lean tuna and salmon, both had a buttery soft texture. I had the torched red prawn with mayo and the dynamite hand roll. They open reservations on Monday at noon. It was a great experience with excellent food and service.

Went in for a quick lunch, everything was amazing. The hostess greeted us promptly at the door and explained how to order and let us know about 12 piece limit. They have sake and beer available, and also have a pitcher of water ready for you at your spot in the bar when you come in for your reservation.
The service was fast, we really didn’t wait much time after we ordered and even in between pieces. The atmosphere is really nice- quiet and calm, and Chef Francis was great. The fish itself was super delicious and all the toppings on the nigiri were amazing.
We got in and out in under an hour and it was just a great experience from start to finish.
The tastiest pieces we had were the shima aji, the torched ebi-kewpie, torched hotate-kewpie, and the blue crab hand roll!

My experience at Edoboy last night was nothing short of extraordinary. We arrived early, anticipating parking challenges on Mills but were pleasantly surprised to find a dedicated parking lot. From the moment we approached the building, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and checked us in immediately. We waited in line while the group in front of us finished up.
Once inside, we made our way around the standing sushi bar and were informed of the daily specials. Any drinks we ordered promptly arrived; the jasmine pilsner was light and refreshing, perfect for the occasion. The staff's knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot-on; you could tell everyone who worked there genuinely enjoyed the food, which is always a great sign. The chef was personable and made the whole experience more enjoyable with how informative he was with each beautiful creation he laid in front of us. He went above and beyond to explain the origin of each fish, adding an extra layer of authenticity to the meal.
The highlight of my visit was the food. The sushi itself was impeccably crafted. Each piece was a work of art, boasting fresh, high-quality fish that tasted as good as it looked. The chef's attention to detail was evident in every bite – from the perfect balance of flavors and textures. Out of my selections on the menu, the ones that stood out most to me were the Madai, with a refreshing lemon zest, the Aburi Aka Ebi, which was truly delectable with a smooth buttery mouthfeel, and the blue crab handroll, which is something I’ll be thinking about for days.
I chose not to order miso soup, thinking I was too full, but I did try a bit of someone else's–I’m still regretting this decision as the soup, made from the bones of the day's fresh fish, was outstanding and the best miso soup they've ever tasted.
Our whole group left the restaurant not only satiated but also educated about the origin of everything we ate. It’s clear that Edoboy prides itself on maintaining high standards for every aspect of the meals provided, and I am already looking forward to my next visit!

Went to Edoboy with friends from out of town - it was pretty easy to get a reservation and they set us up as soon as we arrived. It was one of the friends birthdays and Edoboy even provided a customized menu for him! We all ordered the max number of items per person and were blown away. The nigiris were good but the hand rolls were even better!! High recommend the crab hand roll and the toro hand roll. Recommend skipping the wagyu nigiri - it was too chewy imo.

We have been 3 times already, and taken friends with, and we all have been absolutely amazed. The service is great, the freshness of the fish, and the quality and creativity involved is second to none. GET HERE NOW!

Sushi is good and the vibe is good

Surprised my husband bringing him here and we had a blast! The chef offered an omakase style where we just let him pick what we ate based on some questions he asked us. Would absolutely recommend this, especially for your first visit. We were completely full after the 12 piece max! Tbh, we could’ve stuck with 10, but wanted to just go for it so we did. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Fun vibes, delicious food, service all around was great. We will definitely be back!

This place has amazing nigiri/temaki with decent price for high quality fish. It’s a fun concept of standing sushi bar which is more casual yet maintain high standard for their sushi.
Food: Everything was delicious and the fish quality is top notch compare to most sushi restaurants you’ll find in Orlando. I had 8 nigiri and 2 hand rolls. There is a maximum of 12 pieces and each reservation is limited to 1 hour as it is a standing sushi bar concept. My favorite is the scallop + uni and also the sweet red prawn. One minor thing to note is if you can’t handle spicy I would let the chef know to be mindful of the amount of wasabi in each piece. I noticed that some pieces have more wasabi than others but very minor differences.
Service: There are 2 chefs and 2 servers. The servers take your drinks order and deal with refills and bills at the end of the meal. Most of the service comes from the chefs and they took very good care of us. My one minor critique is the timing of when each piece is made could be better. There were a few times I felt I was just waiting around while some time I feel like a few pieces come out very close to each other, but that’s very minor so overall they provide excellent service.
Value: My total pre tax was $60 and I was comfortably full with the 10 pieces I got. For the quality of the fish you I get would say it was definitely reasonable price. However if you don’t often seek high quality fish then maybe this place may be on the pricey side for you.
Ambience: A small restaurant, minimalistic style with a standing bar. The place is meant to be more on a casual side so I’d say it is appropriately decorated.
Crowd: We made reservation for 4pm and were the first to arrive by within 30 minutes the place was filled with 8 people (max capacity). I like the seat limit which ensure the chefs can give you appropriate time and attention.
Parking: Plenty of parking in the parking when we arrived at 4. Even when we were leaving around 5ish to head to Tori Tori there were still a few parking spot left. This is uncommon for any restaurant on Mills 50 to have decent parking spaces so this place get an extra point from me.

A very unique experience, small, calming. A place to enjoy. I don't claim to be expect on sushi but the food was delicious. The rice was very tender, not overly sticky. Seaweed wrap very thin, crispy. The seafood fresh and tender. The scallops especially melted in my mouth. A consideration that I appreciated was that they offered you a wipe to clean your fingers between bites. The miso soup at the end was a very tasty seafood broth.

Delicious sushi. Quick and easy! If you’re looking for fresh great tasting sushi this is the place for it. Really cool concept and works well for sushi lovers. Not necessarily a place where I would go for a special/fancy dinner. My husband loved the nigiri especially the akami and hamachi. I loved the hand rolls and my favorite was the spicy tuna. Miso soup at the end was a great finishing touch. Will for sure be back again to try more things!

I absolutely love the Edoboy concept. It takes the Omakase experience and makes it more accessible. Instead of spending $160+ for a full omakase experience, you get the same thing but in an à la carte format. So you can spend as little or as much as you want while still getting access to what is some extremely high quality sushi that is made with precision and an even higher amount of passion.
First off, you MUST make a reservation in order to dine here, which I honestly prefer. It means no having to show up at open to hopefully get a seat, you make a reservation and you show up at your time and are sat down. This is a very small restaurant, only standing 8, let me reiterate you are standing the full hour, if you have pains with standing for long periods of time you should definitely take that into consideration. Once you take your spot you are given a list and can choose up to 12 pieces of nigiri or temaki and can end with miso soup. They have beer, sake, and some other caffeinated bottled beverages available.
Once you hand in your paper, the orders start coming and that hour passes REALLY quick. Every single item had its own unique flavor profile and all the flavors meshed perfectly with every single piece of nigiri I had and handroll I had. Some of the highlights for me personally were the blue crab with truffle kewpie mayo handroll, the dynamite handroll, and the sweet red prawn w uni butter.
The whole experience was EXCEPTIONAL and definitely meets the tier of quality expected from the makers of places like Domu and Tori Tori. If you are looking of having an omakase experience without dropping a whole lot of $$$ this is definitely the place to go. Exceptionally high quality ingredients, excellent service, and just an overall great atmosphere to dine in. I will most definitely be back!

Very delicious and fresh sushi with an awesome variety. Very close to a true Japanese standing Sushi bar.
On the picky side : I could do with a different playlist, I rather not listen to Lil Jon - Snap Your Fingers

A very tasty, intimate experience! The best meal I had in Orlando. Price is very reasonable for the quality. I was able to get a reservation for 1 without trouble, but if you have a larger party, you would have to be very diligent about reserving Monday at 12p when the slots for the week are released. There are only 8 slots per hour. I would definitely come back if I visited Orlando again.

My husband and I went for the first time two months ago and everything was so fresh and delicious! There was an awesome sake selection and super friendly staff. We have sushi loving friends in town tomorrow, and we are excited to share this hidden gem with them!

I’ve been here 5 times since they’ve opened and will continue to shout the hype train to anyone with ears! If you’re reading this, book the resy! And do not skip the miso soup. (Or the Dynamite handroll and Shima Aji)

One of my favorite sushi place in Orlando
Fresh fishes, good selection, chef also very nice - fun- and kind but they only limit 12 pieces per person!!!! I kind of want to eat more
Highly recommended for a nice experience
You only have to stand no seating and have to make reservations!!!

Amazing sushi dinner! Forget all the fancy extras. This place keeps it simple and is based on the Japanese concept of standing bars. EDOBOY focuses on the quality of sushi that they deliver. My husband and I love omakase, particularly on the Michelin status. While this place isn't an omakase, the level of sushi is on par. Give this place a try. Come with an open mind and enjoy the 60 min. It's an experience to be had.

Edoboy has easily become our new favorite sushi spot! We have taken multiple friends and family members who have all loved not only the food but the experience. Even if you are wary of raw fish this is the best place to start. Everything is delicious and don’t forget to get the miso soup at the end!

You get to this non descript home in the back of a busy parking lot (lazy moon pizza) and literally stand outside until your appointment time. At the exact moment , you enter and take your place standing of course. You can choose up to 12 pieces and the miso doesn't count and is an absolute must made fresh daily. Trust me it's plenty of food and actually plenty of time to chat, eat and have a beer or sake or water. You eat with your fingers; however, chopsticks are provided to those picky eaters. All I gotta say is give it a try! I love it

I am blown away by this place. It was such an incredible experience even from the moment you stand outside with a drink in hand waiting to enter. It was extremely personalized by having 4 people to one sushi expert hand making everything to perfection in front of you. Every piece of nigiri and roll were made impeccably and the miso soup ending could not have topped it off any better. I will be talking about this place for so long to come. Thank you so much to everyone who is a part of this place

Couldn't recommend Edoboy enough. The sushi was so fresh and delicious. Everything had amazing flavor and it's made right in front of you. Reservations are needed and it did end up being a bit pricey but it was worth every penny.

Fantastic experience. Do not expect this to be like any other sushi experience. It stands alone! (Literally and figuratively). Top quality food and service. We will 1000% be back!

The food and service were great, but the concept of standing around for an hour or so needs work. Also, they sell beer, but not (grape) wine. Sake may be authentic, but rice wine is not to everyone's taste. I recommend setting up a few tables for the older sushi lovers.

Loved my sushi experience at EDOBOY! It's definitely worth the hype.
It's 8 people only at a time and each side gets their own personal sushi chef. They give you a 1 hour dining slot (very strict on timing).
They use the highest quality ingredients, and I loved everything I ate. Be sure to get the torched prawn with uni butter (tastes like lobster). Plus they have a small selection of sakes and beer. I enjoyed the juice box sushi. Would recommend this place for date night or special occasions.

Amazing sushi experience! It’s expensive but fair for the excellent quality and service. Fun experience for a date or dinner with friends. The sake and beer are pretty cheap, so you could also treat it as a happy hour and try just a few sushi pieces.

We had an amazing meal at Edoboy. I highly recommend this restaurant. It is small, and you need a reservation to get in. There are only 8 spots in the restaurant and you stand the whole time. Everything was fresh and made to order. Absolutely delicious! I liked everything, but my favorites were the Toro, all the torched nigiri, Sake-kewpie, Aburi Aka Ebi, the blue crab temaki, and the Misi soup. The chefs are helpful and will make recommendations.

Simple yet creative, a perfect amount of food, and ten stars for flavor and uniqueness of each roll. Each one was better than the next. Great sake options as well. Will be returning

I absolutely love that Omakase style restaurants are getting popular and if you've never been to one this is a great place to start!! Prices are amazing and the 2 chefs are wonderful! Friendly and talented at what they do! And let me tell you, that nigiri is to die for. Went home with such a savory taste in my mouth. Highly recommend this place!!!
