Horrible. Saw it on Groupon and that should've given it away. The kitchen was watery, the meat was super thin, the service was horrible. It took 30 mins to get a drink, never got a refill had to ask several times for forks, water, anything really. Don't waste your time or money, just go to Kpot it's worth the extra money.

DO NOT GO HERE. Save your money and your time; horrible experiences are inevitable. The restaurant only has two servers, with one on their first week on the job. The service is extremely slow. Although sympathetic, our server didn’t know how to operate the grill for our Korean BBQ. It was 15 minutes before he even met us at our table and another 15 to serve our drinks (water). 45 minutes in and no substantial food was served. It took an additional hour longer for our sushi. Our waiter informed us that this was because the sushi bar chef was also the chef for the meat preparation. The portions of meat for the BBQ were minuscule and were mostly fat. The vent was not turned on and all the smoke was directed toward us. And it was not only our family! All the customers were having miserable times, whether it be a malfunctioning grill or slow service. This is simply a doomed restaurant. The food has been below average and our experience here could not have been worse. Again, save your money, your time, and DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. P.S the Crab Rangoon is absolutely rancid (for me at least)

the atmosphere was great! it was a beautiful place. The Korean BBQ side was not all it was cut out to what i expected. the service was awful for my family and I personally. We had to repeatedly ask for things as simple as silverware. The food was disappointing, and had no flavor. it was not enjoyable at all. The best thing was the fried cheesecake. The crab rangoon was okay, until i found one frozen. I genuinely don’t recommend spending your time here. it was extremely expensive and not worth the money spent. $164, for 9 AFTER using a groupon, not including drinks, or desert. Overall it was a good idea for a restaurant, as well as a beautiful place, just not executed well. I do not recommend.

Haven't been back here in a while. I'll go as far as saying this is a gem now, food wise. The service was okay, some new servers learning. The atmosphere could use them cleaning and bussing tables a little better. The food, though, is very good, and if you compare to Kobe, it is similar, if not better. The winning nod goes here for almost a 30% cheaper cost. Sushi and hibachi are both on point.

My husband booked us a Groupon for Korean BBQ for my birthday and we were told on the phone when making the reservation that the earliest they could do was 2pm. (This was a Monday). We agreed, because we felt that left an hour and a half before our children were due to arrive home from school and anticipated it was enough time to get our fill.

The restaurant was empty when we arrived but they instructed us to sit in the lobby. At first we thought they just needed to prep the table but after a half hour my husband asked when we would be seated and the hostess said they don’t start Korean BBQ until 3pm. We protested, because we were told we could book at 2pm.

They sat us, but took forever to return to allow us to order our drinks. Then took forever to actually bring the drinks. He did, however, point out the tip was not included in the Groupon and we need to be sure to pay the full cost. Not just what was left over after the Groupon. This kind of left a bitter taste in my mouth, more so as my husband is English and this potentially could have been a case of stereotyping.

At this point I *had* to go get our children, as we wouldn’t be there for their bus, so then we had to pay for 2 additional dinners (at kid price but still…).

After I returned with my children our family seemed in good spirits despite the early chaos but the server was extremely slow with our orders, except french fries (which mostly my kids enjoyed).

Towards the end of the meal the server was completely absent. My husband went to find out the status of our last order and we were informed that we reached the time limit. The menu, the door, the Groupon, nothing had informed us of a time limit- including staff when we came in. We were very disappointed because service was so bad and we didn’t get what we felt was worth the cost.

I felt the meat was fantastic, there was nothing I ordered that wasn’t delicious. The sides, in my opinion, were mediocre. A lot of them you could get from the grocery store (and I think most of the items were just bought from the store). I didn’t get to try the sushi.

I suggest finding a better restaurant if you’re craving Korean BBQ…or probably any Asian style food.

So the actual food and drinks were good during our visit but the service… the poor waitress God bless her soul could barely speak, face mask on, looked like she was dying. On top of that she knew absolutely nothing about the menu, every time we asked a question she would respond with “ummm”. She walked away from the table several times while we were speaking. But the worst part was when we were leaving we left $15 tip, the manager ran after us as we were leaving and we got into an actual back and forth discussion about how we needed to tip higher, he can’t pay his staff on $15 tip, that the minimum we could leave was 18%. First of all, bullshit. Tipping is not MANDATORY, it’s OPTIONAL . The customer is not responsible for ensuring your staff gets a pay check and straight up lying to someone saying you “have to tip higher” is unethical. The custom tip section is there for a reason. Will NOT be returning, and wouldn’t advise anyone to visit. Great way to lose business.

It is shocking to see that the menu at an all you can eat sushi and hibachi place didn't even have hibachi steak on it. I was informed that the steak options could be found either at the normal dining section or the Korean BBQ section which had different menus. I was looking at the online menu available since they don't have an all you can eat menu on there website, go figure. I was so stunned that a sushi and hibachi place had chicken and veggies as the only actual hibachi items. Other than the noodles or fried rice. Two items on that whole menu that had the word hibachi next to it. The Korean BBQ side I was informed had all you can eat meats such as pork belly and sirloin. So why on Earth can the chefs not just throw steak on the hibachi grill too.... especially since the sushi and hibachi menu is actually the more expensive between that and the KBBQ! So I would pay less just to hop over to that side and get the steak. The issue being I would have to cook it myself which I didn't feel like doing this night because I wasn't expecting to have to. I just feel like at this point they should take steakhouse out of the title and just say Sushi, Sashimi, and KBBQ. Paid for my sodas and left a little stunned.

Do NOT EVER buy a Groupon for this place! I called and made a reservation like stated on the Groupon. The man on the phone wanted the Groupon number which I didn't have on me at the time. He said no problem and told me to call back ONE hour before my reservation with it. I called back TWO hours before my reservation and they were said I no longer had a reservation and they gave it away! They were SO RUDE!

I recently move to Avalon. This location is very attractive with the pink illuminated trees. I been here twice for HH, food is blend, sushi, lots of rice for sure. I tried to go to dinner and waiting at front door for a good 7min(I think too long) no one acknowledged me. I left. Steak smells great from outside. I think I’ll just cook steak at home. Wine servings are generous. Will not visit again.

How many times should you have to ask you waiter for utensils, let along how many different staff should you have to ask for utensils? 5 times to our waiter and I also asked 2 other staff as well. Somos cliente recurrentes pero hoy tuvimos experiencia bastante desagradable, acabamos de retirarnos del establecimiento por que tardaron mas de 15 minutos en que viniera una mesera , cuando al fin llego le indicamos que la mesa estaba muy sucia ( muy grasosa) , vino con in trapo super mojado limpiando de mala manera y tirando agua todos lados que hasta me mojó el pantalón , no dijimos nada , pero lo peor fue que dejo la mesa asi completamente mojada ( grasa con agua por que no siquiera le quito la suciedad) y puso los menús encima no le importo dejar la mesa en ese estado , no fuimos capaz de comes así y nos retiramos ( se nos quito hasta hambre ) , que lástima por que siempre frecuentamos y recomendábamos este lugar por su deliciosa comida , espero mejoren la experiencia de servicio al cliente

Has the owner or the main cook changed? I've been going there regularly since I live in Avalon, but my last couple of experiences were terrible. I ordered the beef lunch box, asking for the beef to be cooked medium-rare, but it came out too chewy. it wasn't because over cooked, it was the quality of beef. I couldn’t eat it and ended up leaving two-thirds of it untouched.

The fried rice was bland, and the tempura had an unpleasant old-oil smell. It seemed like they were using the cheapest cut of beef, and the texture was like hard rubber. Honestly, I'd rather pay $2–$3 more for better-quality beef if the restaurant has to increase the price to get better ingredients, crisp and flavorful tempura, and a satisfying meal.

Because of this, my friends and I decided to stop going there for lunch or dinner for a while. I used to enjoy tender, delicious beef from this place—come on, bring that quality back, or you’ll lose business!

Do not eat here. Over $240 for 5 BBQ AYCE. Per person to eat from both sides of the menu was $36.99. The quality of food is not worth this price. You can eat at KPOT for $24 on a good day and receive much more attentive service. Tempura onions tasted like water. Plates of raw meat took ages to come to the table. This was a confusing and disappointing experience. I do not recommend this place at all. Eat at your own discretion. 1/10. BTW tip is mandatory when the menu CLEARLY says suggested/recommended. SCAM artists.
I ordered the Yaki Udon with Jumbo Shrimp but ordered arrived w/ Nabe Yaki Udon which is a soup & had chicken in it. It was even listed on the receipt. I called them and told them so and the girl told me it's the same thing. Uh.. no? One is a chicken soup and the other isn't?

To summarize, I was put on hold like 3 lengthy times and at the end was told the manager would give me a discount if I ever ordered again. I told her what is the discount? She wouldn't tell me. I had to ask multiple times (I'm starting to get pretty upset at this point) until she finally tells me 8 DOLLARS!
I paid $17.95 for Yaki Udon which I never received and instead got a disgusting chicken soup that looked like Campbell's. She asked for my number so the greedy manager could call me back. I'll let you guess if he ever called me.

I've ordered from here so many times (each time over $90 easily). NEVER ordering here again. Hope they go out of business when everyone finds out they don't care about their loyal customers. Greed makes everything tumble down at some point.

Worst customer service I’ve ever received. I bought a Groupon to bring my daughter for a mommy daughter day (she’s been wanting to go for the longest) and my server told me the manager said they no longer accept Groupons (funny bc I just purchased it the day prior) so I call the manager(Tony) over because I just drove 30 minutes to get there and he goes on to try to convince me they no longer take them so I show him that they are still purchase-able and he switches his story to I have to make a reservation prior (it was a Tuesday evening with only 1 other table. His approach was completely unprofessional and rude I’ve never had to deal with this before and I’ve been going out to eat and using Groupons for years.

Side note: I spent more on the Groupon then I would have an adult meal and child’s meal but I had already purchased it and didn’t wanna deal with the hassle of making a return.

I was exploring Groupon when I fell upon A-Aki Sushi & Steakhouse for KBBQ. My partner and I are a bug fan of trying KBBQ and were excited to try another. The atmosphere was calming, they have a variety of games displayed of big flatscreen TV’s by the bar. The service was a bit slow but it seemed like they only had one server out on the floor. When eating at KBBQ we love ordering Beef Brisket and we were so DISAPPOINTED when they brought over the 2 orders of beef brisket… Not only was it a small amount but it was extremely fatty. I saw the other reviews about the brisket and decided to ignore it but unfortunately the other reviews were correct. The beef brisket was literally almost uneatable due to the fat being most of the meal. So so sad and disappointing. The chicken tempura, fried and white rice was okay just cold. The dumplings were really the only thing that was good. Please don’t ignore this and the other reviews and do not order beef brisket if at this KBBQ location, it was unappetizing.

I had a DoorDash order here, but the entire road this restaurant was on was closed. The one at the corner had no available parking and a police car to block off the restaurant. I called the restaurant to ask if they could take it out but they refused. They put me on hold twice before speaking with me. I reminded them that the road is closed and that there’s no available parking anywhere, but he said that I don’t need to park. Well, that makes a lot of sense. Entrance is right off of the street;

We received smiles and a friendly greeting from the host as we entered. Our seating choice was in the non-hibachi side of the restaurant which appeared to be dimmer.

Our waiter was extremely attentive and seemed kind. We received our food and drinks in a timely fashion and everything was fresh!

The food was delicious; Sake was cold and it was overall a wonderful experience.

OMG please don't waste your money or time! I even had a Groupon and it wasn't worth it. took 10 min to receive a drink. 30 min to get a plate of noodles. ordered tuna sushi and it had NO tuna on it. the meat is basically all fat. the server was no where to be found most the time. I had to get up and ask for utensils to eat our food. had to ask for a straw. cooking platter turned off mid cooking and I didn't know what to do because the server didn't tell us how to use it and what to do. lots of sauces to choose from but none of them have labels so I have no idea what I ate. the tables have this large plug sticking out where I jammed my knee 2x on it if I wanted to sit properly. I don't see this place lasting longer being that it's in avalon. gratuity was included which I was not told about thankfully I noticed. do not go here.

Fix your online ordering system please.
I also wish the first time my order was not found that you have issues with the online ordering system. So, the last time I wasted 30 min waiting for the order and now I am sitting and waiting again.
The person at the front did apologize for the inconvenience but didn't offer any consideration for it, which under circumstances is expected.
My family and I enjoy coming here, but the negative experiences like this put a damper on the overall desire to come back.
If you can't fix the online ordering system then don't even offer it as an option.
I will know to call the order next time instead of placing it online.

Absolute worst experience ever. We used to come here all the time when they used to cook the hibachi in front of you. Food was always delicious and never had an issue, except the host/ manager who was always a bit rude. We decided to go there last night for our anniversary since it’s been about 6 years, and it was a complete disappointment! I wanted the all you can eat which is $32, but apparently you can only order that if the whole table is ordering it. My husband, son and nephew only wanted hibachi and have no interest in sushi or anything from that menu… I ended up ordering the calamari appetizer, remembering it was always good, but half the rings were tender the other half very chewy. I also got the sirloin bento box and the steak which I ordered medium was very chewy to the point I could not eat it. The hibachi sirloin my son and husband ordered medium was also a hit or miss some pieces tender some extra chewy. I advised the server about my steak, the manager came over and said I should have ordered the filet mignon if I wanted good meat, like the $17 for a handful of meat wasn’t pricey enough… He was very rude and has no people skills whatsoever! Our server was mediocre at best, we had to wave her down anytime we needed something as she never came to check on us. I’ve been a server for many years and still work in the service industry so I know the ins and outs. Needless to say we will not be coming back here again!

There are so many great AYCE Korean bbq places in Orlando, and I have a mission to try them all!
This place was nestled in the cutest town I have seen in ages. It felt so clean, manicured and classy.

The service was a bit slow for such a slow night, but they were very friendly and helpful.
The Korean bbq part of the restaurant is small and could use a bit more charm. The Banchan bar (sides and sauces) was near empty in a few items and we arrived 30 minutes within opening times and were the first table. I assume it was left over from the night before?

The kimchi was absolutely one of the best I’ve had! Big leaves and heavy on flavor!
The sauce bar had a good selection.

We ordered some sushi to start and were quite disappointed. Little flavor and too heavy on the rice. The fish though, was very fresh.
The crab Rangoon could have been fried longer, but it was so meaty on the inside it won us over instantly. So creamy and rich with tons of seasonings.

The meat is obviously the star of the show and everything was perfect in this department!
Juicy, well butchered, fresh and beautiful.

Having a container of butter was super unique! It was much easier to keep the meat from burning vs the usually butter slices most kbbq places offer.

I look forward to returning!

I wanted to try this location and lunch was a perfect fit, not crowded great service. The prices were reasonable and serving was generous, bathroom clean and well maintained. Parking was easy during lunch time, will visit again for lunchtime.

The staff is so friendly and the sushi is very good. I only wish they had lychee that day to try their lychee martini. But they have an array of cocktails that you will not be disappointed in. And they have the BEST Crab Rangoon, that I have ever had...EVER!! Check them out Y'all!!

I rarely write reviews! But here I don't want to and will not restrain myself! We bought dinner on groupon! Due to my inattention we did not book our dinner in advance! When we arrived we were met by the manager of the restaurant Anthony, in the restaurant at that moment there were only 2 tables occupied!!!!! He said that we would not be able to have dinner because we had not booked the groupon dinner in advance, Anthony was totally unfriendly and unprofessional! We said we wanted to book now and he told us we would have to wait 1 hour! This despite the fact that the restaurant was empty!!! Ok, we waited outside for an hour! When we came back we were put at a dirty table! We were served dirty plates! And we waited about 40 minutes for our order!!!! Believe me I am a very patient person and was willing to ignore these details!!!! I had to get up several times and go to the front desk to ask when we would be served! After us, guests came to other tables and their order was brought to them very quickly! I also want to note that the toilet is dirty and no one came to clean it!!!! When the bill was brought to us, it included 18% tip!!!! Why!!! For all this mess??? I regret that the trip did not justify my good day! The only thing I want to say thank you to Andrew the waiter! He was the only one who came over and asked us if we were satisfied! And everything was delicious! People who want to save money on the Groupon! Trust me, it's not worth it!

I also want to add!!! If you don't like your job then quit, quit!!!! I do my job at 1000000% and if I worked in your place I would fire you immediately!

A very middling experience for Korean BBQ, not somewhere I'd return. I had a groupon and made a reservation as required. We arrived about 10 minutes before our reservation and then had to wait another 20 minutes to get seated, which would be understandable if they were busy but there were only 2 tables in the BBQ area. I suspect the issue was there were only 3 people I saw serving food and seating guests. This in turn lead to slow service while we were dining. The food itself was OK, the best things on the BBQ were the bulgogi and the spicy pork belly, the other marinated meats didn't absorb much of the small amount of marinade. The side dishes were alright, my kids enjoyed the dumplings, chicken nuggets, and fries and the miso soup was tasty. As a whole though, not an experience I'd pay for even at the discounted price.

Came here at 9:20pm I’m literally having to leave because the guy at the hostess stand said they are not taking dine in, but the restaurant doesn’t close till 10pm. Who stays open to just tell customers they aren’t taking anyone especially that they were empty and has plenty of seating. Terrible! Really wanted to have a bento box !

On Sunday, during lunchtime, I visited with my step-daughter. We both opted for the all-you-can-eat sushi option. My order included soup, rice, crab rangoon, a spicy tuna roll, a shrimp tempura roll, and a shrimp and crab roll. Unfortunately, the restaurant was understaffed with only two servers, leading to less than optimal service timing. Despite this, the food quality was satisfactory. However, shortly after leaving the restaurant, I fell ill. By the end of the night, I suspected food poisoning. Over the past four days, I have experienced severe nausea, prompting me to schedule an appointment with my doctor for intestinal testing. This incident has been particularly alarming as I have never encountered such an adverse reaction to sushi before. I take great care in selecting reputable establishments for sushi consumption and am willing to invest accordingly to ensure a safe dining experience. Despite this precaution, I spent approximately $70, only to later become ill and require medical attention, including costly lab work. This unforeseen expense adds to the financial burden of the incident.

We purchase a Groupon for two people and some friends also purchased one. When we arrived the hostess called the manager, who wasn’t at the restaurant, asking if she could sit us together and the manager said no. It was a Sunday at 6pm and there were plenty of sitting for the four of us. I couldn’t understand the logic of it and got very disappointed. I spoke with the hostess and a waiter and they understand my point of view. Why use two separate tables when we all four were going to eat exactly the same ? Well they understood, and we were able to sit together. The staff were super professional and the food was great. Thanks to Stephen, our waiter, who make sure we had an excellent night. Stephen will be the perfect manager for this place, how can they have a manager with attitude and no sense of customer service? I can’t understand. Thanks Stephen and the rest of the staff, because of you all the restaurant earned the five stars, not because of the bad management.

Well, he have eaten here a few times before with a pleasant experience and did not have an issue. We decided to stop today for a late lunch after taking a nice long walk through Avalon. It took a while to even be greeted by anyone. The man who finally did come did not appear happy to see customers. He took us to a table and immediately walked away. When menus were brought he still did not ask what we would like to drink. 5 minutes later he came back again not appearing to want to be there and when I tried to order a drink from the menu he told me they did not have it. He did not offer any thing else or another version of it so I just ordered water. He left brought the water and left again without taking orders. Then he took a phone call and left the room. We asked another waiter near by if that was supposed to be our guy and he said yeah and apologized for his absence and offered to “help out” even if it wasn’t his table. We thanked him for the offer and explained how long we had been waiting. He apologized and said he understood and that person who was supposed to be waiting on us was above him/part of the management or something. We aren’t going to beg anyone to spend our money in their restaurant. This place was not busy at all. There is no excuse. There are 10 other restaurants in east Orlando that serve this kind of food. So we got up to leave. The manager/server who had disappeared returned asking if we want to order when we were getting up. We politely declined and he did not seem all that bothered at losing customers. We like supporting local businesses but, sadly we won’t be back here.

Manager was very rude. I looked online and noticed you could not make reservation unless you had a party of 10 or more. My husband and I had a group-on and did not noticed the fine print on the group-on that we had to call ahead to make a reservation. When we arrived, we were told we had to wait an hour because we did not make a reservation. There was only one couple on the BBQ side. They finally told us to come back in 30 min. Great! Because we went and got a drink at another bar instead of theirs. Their loss! We came back 30 min later and the couple that was their left and only one other couple came in during the duration of the time we were there. I will say the person who waited on us was very friendly. However, because we had a group-on, we were treated very rudely by the manager. My. Advice is treat your customers that bought a group-on the same as your other costumers or don’t list on group-on. We will never come back.

I decided to try this KBBQ place because I had just moved to Orlando, but I promise you, you need to stay away. The service was absolutely ridiculous. The orders never came out properly, sushi, meats, etc and there was literally only 1 other table there so I can’t give them the busy excuse. When my party wanted to order more, we were told “ if you don’t finish we will charge you “, then proceeded to shorten the order HIMSELF and bring less than what was asked and said if you guys finish it, I will bring another. Well we did finish and he brought ONE piece more, for a party of 6. The food was 6/10 the meats were good, the sushi was eh, but the service receives a 1/10 worst waiter I have ever had in my entire life. He was extremely rude and disrespectful I will never return, you could not pay me or allow me to even eat for free at this establishment.

Everything was so good. I love their hibatchi. I have been going there for years and have always enjoyed it. The only thing I have noticed is they do not check your glasses to refill them. I ran out of water and had to ask a couple of times before they brought me any. However, that isn't that big of a deal when everything else was on point. 5 stars!

We really enjoyed our early dinner on Saturday night. The servers did a great job checking on us to make sure we had all the meat we needed. It was fun to cook our own food. One of our favorite sushi places, and when we have family/friends come into town, we always take them to A-Aki. We have not tried the newer KBBQ, so I can’t comment on that. But their sushi deals are great and their bento boxes are awesome. They are my happy place, and also have some of the best crab rangoons in town. Also their presentation is really great too! Makes eating more fun.

They also make quality drinks if you have looking for a drink with your meal!

Totally bummed out by my visit to this place. Honestly, the service was a joke. They kept us waited 15+minutes to prepare our reserved table and another 15 mins before we can order. They barely show up and when they, they came with attitude. They took my cup for a refill and just vanished – never got it back.

And the food? Way too much rice and thin meat on the sushi (see pics). We ordered 6 tempura pieces but only got 2. Had to ask 4 times for the hibachi before they finally got it right. Save yourself the hassle and skip this place.

The barbeque meats weren't the best quality and the pressure to only order what you eat or be charged. 89¢ a piece for left overs, didn't I already pay for this food when I ordered it? Don’t waste your money. My son’s took me for my birthday & the service was terrible. We had to wait an hour just to get water (& we had reservations). The salad bar was a joke. It had two kinds of lettuce, a few tomatoes, mushrooms, grapes, melon & one dressing. We got all-you-can eat buffet & the meat was very fatty. The fried rice was decent. When I asked for a knife they brought me scissors (for the table). Scissors! I have never been to a restaurant where they don’t have knives. We won’t be going back.

My favorite place to eat in the East Orlando area, definitely a hidden gem with their all you can eat Korean barbecue. They have a really nice selection of different meats that are fresh, and flavorful. Today Sunday the restaurant has an advertising sign, "All you can eat" lunch special in the sidewalk in front of the restaurant, but apparently not on Sunday! The poor server couldn't get our orders straight despite him writing it down at first. We had to ask for water several times, and still he wasn't getting it. Our food/order came wrong, and even after asking (for example) for the fried rice we had to remind him. Ask for (pickled) ginger, and he didn't know what that was.

My family and I come here about once or twice a month and always get the all you can eat special. It is worth the price and the menu has a wide variety which we appreciate. Had the sushi buffet. Every roll was bland and had too much rice. No server was present at the front and kept my party waiting for 15 minutes despite reservations. Service overall was drawn out and slow (but to be fair we had a fairly large party), and the atmosphere was a mixture of muted Mexican news on the TVs and terrible American pop songs. The bathroom is horrendously designed and not very sanitary, as in it was hard to leave without possibly recontaminating my hands. The server we recieved here on June 19th, 2023 around 3 PM was at least attentive and communicative and is the only positive for this visit. I can't recommend this establishment, period.
