At Sushi Lucy, we are a Comfortable neighborhood sushi restaurant specializing in a la carte selections through a conveyor belt-style sushi boat. We have a full bar serving Japanese imports. Located in North Miami Florida off NE 123rd St.
Cute little sushi restaurant with boats that float past you on a small waterway.
I came here for the first time for lunch with my sons. We had a lot of great sushi plates! One of my sons had the miso soup. I had a glass of wine. My other son had a Ramune.
The sushi was very fresh and tasty. We really enjoyed it. The bill was about $100 for the three of us. Not bad for such a quality restaurant.
I would definitely return and recommend it to anyone who loves sushi.

I recently visited Sushi Lucy in North Miami, and I’m already planning my next trip! The kaiten sushi bar setup is so fun—you just grab fresh plates right off the floating boats, and the variety is fantastic. The sushi is super fresh, and I also loved the options on their a la carte menu.
The staff was friendly and attentive, and they even mentioned that new menu items are on the way—I got to try a few, and they’re absolutely delicious. Whether you’re in the mood for sushi, sake, or a chill night out, this spot has it all. Highly recommend for sushi lovers or anyone looking for a unique dining experience in Miami!

Finally got the time to come visit this Kaiten style sushi joint I had added to my never ending list. We don’t have a lot of these around and the other one I know of, even though it’d be considered the OG, I’m not a fan of. This place is spotless in cleanliness and that’s a bonus for me. Relatively new to the area I’d consider this a hidden gem for sure. This is kinda like the conveyor belt Kaiten style except is powered by a water stream that’s pushing the boats around and it’s also super relaxing to watch.
I had several plates stack up after trying a few dishes, like the tuna tartare, rainbow roll, shrimp tartare, torched salmon nigiri and crunchy crab salad all washed down with a nice cold Kirin beer; then end with chocolate coconut mochi ice cream. The owner/manager was on site and took the time to explain how the system worked and a few of the dishes as well, so service is A1. He was very attentive and helpful at all times. Food was fresh, delicious and not overpriced like some people are complaining about. One beer, five dishes and a dessert for under $60 with 20% gratuity is not breaking the bank for a good meal in Miami considering you end up spending over $100 every time for similar places. Obviously, this is not an Omakase fine dining experience but it’s priced adequately for its portions and quality. I’ve been to that other joint at the Beach and it’s about the same in quality but old and kinda dirty. Yes this joint is newer but cleanliness has to do with the people who run the place and how they care to project themselves. Anyways, only minor issue I see with location, even though I didn’t have any problems, would be the parking situation. I can see how finding parking in that small shopping center could turn into a inconvenience for people on a busy Friday or Saturday night. Other than that, this is a joint I’d come to when the sushi cravings kick in and I don’t want to spend a fortune.

4.5 stars. Sushi Lucy is a kaitenzushi establishment with a friendly staff and good sushi. Watching the boats pass by is relaxing, and the cool atmosphere offers the right setting for a pleasant evening. They charge by the color of the plate, with an okay pricing on their items. My favorite was the hamachi roll with scallions.

Tonight was our first time here and my husband and I really enjoyed the fresh sushi we had. Due to how busy it was, we sat in the second to last table of where the conveyor belt ends and we would basically get whatever rolls were leftover after everyone got their first pick lol. We ended up getting like 3 rolls from the conveyor belt but the rest we ordered from the menu and they came out quick and tasted fresh. We also had the Chicken Katsu rice bowl to finish getting full and we spent $112 including the tip. I did have to let the waiter know one of the colored plates was ringed up for incorrectly and she fixed it but I also took a picture of the plates before they took them for reference lol. For the cost, I believe the value was up to par and we look forward to coming back again but sitting in one of the first tables :)

It used to be very good but in just a couple of months service went downhill, food portions became much smaller and now they ask you to order from the menu because there is rarely any food on the boats; which complete defeats the concept of the venue. Overpriced. Food still tastes nice but wouldn’t go back anymore.

I been to Shimas and Katana and in comparison, the quality of sushi is average. Not a lot of variety shown and the pink and white plates are very similar in color and quite deceptive if you are price consciousness. Especially the price for the white is $3.50 and the pink plates are $7.50. They didn’t differentiate between white and pink plates. At first I thought it was all white plates and we literally checked every plate color but then the waiter only checked two plates that you could only tell that it’s pink when the server shine her iPhone light on it. However, I highly doubt a California roll would be in a pink plate. She didn’t check all the plates that could be mistaken as pink she only shine the light in two plates and assumed the other two plates were pink. So we were charged 4 times $7.50.
For the same price of $97 not including tip, I can get more food including a dessert from Shimas for a party of two that’s better quality and variety.

I recently had a unique sushi experience in North Miami. At this restaurant, diners sit at a bar, and sushi dishes pass by on boats. You can choose from preselected sushi rolls and sashimi, or you can request items from the menu. The color of the plate dictates the price, allowing customers to keep track of their bill easily. My sushi rolls were flavorful and fresh, and the atmosphere was eclectic and fun. My only complaint is that I wish they offered plum wine on their drinks menu. However, that won't keep me returning for more delicious sushi 🍣🍙🍘☺️

Well this was a very disappointing experience. There is so much I wanted out of this experience. The restraint was beautiful and clean. However so many factors went into me writing this post. One thing I believe in is integrity. Which this restaurant lacks. I hate when I mention I have a food allergy and it is disregarded. Thank God for epipens.

Overall I would say it was okay, don’t go expecting it to be a replacement for Katana.
I would go back but not anytime soon.

Looking for a locally owned hotspot to eat the freshest and most delicious sushi in South Florida? If yes you gotta try Sushi Lucy! Came last night to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and drove over 90 minutes and it was worth every mile. To begin, this is a locally owned business and their owners are there working alongside their friendly and amazing staff. The attention to detail from floor to ceiling , the chilled atmosphere and hands down the freshest sushi around! Every bite is pure perfection. Salmon, tuna, shrimp, squid and everything you eat will taste incredible. I literally had squid for the first time and it was pure perfection. This place is not your typical sushi bar but rather a kaiten bar where little boats set sail via a conveyor belt to bring you the best sushi you’ve ever had. last thing I’d like to add is that sushi Lucy was voted on wplg clean plate report as one of the cleanest restaurants in Miami dade! Go check this place out!

To start off it’s a nice little establishment , small limited room at the seats for the conveyor belt, food is expensive for the small portions you get, very small portions and plates can add up to being a lot, too expensive sushi isn’t anything special.

The staff is super unprofessional. I happened to be in the area and wanted to check out this new venue and its operating hours because they were not listed on the door or building as I was walking out of another venue on the same block. I knocked on the door to get more information on their hours and offerings so I could visit at a later time. Unfortunately, I was met by a staff member who looked me in the eye and closed the gate while I was at the door, almost striking me in the head. Luckily, I'm not litigious; I was simply interested in patronizing this venue. However, if their employees think this is an appropriate way to interact with local guests, they are mistaken. They may have great sushi and a great management team, but the guest experience starts before you even enter the venue. If this is how they treat present and future guests, I will take my business elsewhere, where my patronage is appreciated. I wish this venue luck in all its future endeavors during these challenging times.

Super overpriced for casual fast past dinning. Idea of the small Japanese floating plates is to have a lot small coast dishes. Everything here is 6-11 $ per plate. Easier to go to full dinning restaurant. You will pay less. 1 person 110$ -crazy. 3 stars only for the service. Food selection was also poor.

Sushi Lucy is a happy place and above all, a very logical choice for North Miami locals. Every time Chris and I receive the bill, we like to play the restaurant guessing game, closest guess wins the next dinner. With six small bites and a never-ending pot of green tea, we both made guesses between $55-60 (without tip). The bill arrived — a modest $43.38. With an extra $20 in my wallet, I walked out feeling invigorated, satisfied, “Yes! A win for our gastronomically grim, fast-food friendly neighborhood.”
Closed during COVID, Sushi Lucy re-opened this year — its star, a gimmicky conveyor belt, a lazy river, peddling cute boats of sushi and cold apps. Most of the negative reviews I read kept comparing Sushi Lucy to Katana, the beloved "rotation sushi" gem in North Beach, which became known as, “That place with the floating boats.” Like most locals, I heart Katana, but in this over-populated, day-fueled traffic Miami era, travelling forty blocks feels like travelling four hundred.
Upon sitting, we were immediately greeted by a pleasant server who explained the system: the plates are different colors, each color denotes a price. Then, within a minute we were enjoying an amuse-bouche of seaweed. Most of the rotating plates hover in the $5.50-$8.50 range, which makes you feel comfortable to freely grab, instead of being an annoying, price-conscience head calculator. The seaweed was cold and crisp, and the salmon sashimi was ultra fresh, tight on the outside, and tender in the middle. A crab salad delighted a sweet-salty craving, and a miso soup was big on umami, better than most. If you’re looking for high-ticket items, unique flavor combos, or “This fish just flew in from Japan,” then Lucy is not for you. She’s a simple girl.
Unfortunately, the wine list dampens Sushi Lucy’s whole underground vibe by serving what seems like “Publix’s Hot Picks,” and there’s no truly premium sake choices. Would you rather have three miso soups or one glass of thick & glossy Meiomi Pinot Noir?!? As a neighborhood ally, let me write your beverage list in exchange for some seaweed salad, please. Lucy has the potential to be the coolest girl in town, but for now I’ll take the miso, all day long.

Today, I decide to stop and give it a try.
Nice place with a conveyor belt made of floating boat loaded with sushis.

When you want to Spice up your Sushi this is the place to go. The sushi floats by and you can get what you want. This Kaiten style sushi with boats floating by really accentuates the Japanese motif and feels different than conveyor belt sushi. Besides the great atmosphere and decor the sushi was amazing and the service was outstanding. Do yourself a favor and try Sushi Lucy .

Amazing experience start to finish. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, we did have a dedicated server but others checked on us throughout our time there and were happy to help with anything we needed. The revolving boat sushi is an option, but you can also order from the menu. The rolls were 5 pieces rather than 8 which we preferred because we could try more things. Prices were very reasonable and we already can't wait to return. We went on a Sunday evening and it was relatively busy even around 8 pm, which I think is a good sign! Crunchy crab salad was a standout in appetizers for us, highly recommend!

Unfortunately this is the worst conveyor belt sushi experience I’ve had by far. I went around 7pm on a Sunday (peak dinner time) and not only was the service almost nonexistent, but the boats were pitiful! Maybe the kitchen staff were on a smoke break. About nine out of every ten boats floating around were empty the entire hour or so we were there…I am not exaggerating, I counted. There was just a sad old California roll and one shrimp nigiri that kept going around in circles unclaimed. When the good, fresh rolls came around about once every 15 minutes, they were immediately claimed of course and rarely reached our table. Most people in the whole place were just sitting and watching for food to come out! Nobody was eating.
We thought, oh well, let’s just order off the menu. And even those items took a half hour to reach us. And they weren’t worth the wait when we got them, nor were they worth the over $70 we paid per person when we left unsatisfied. Will not be returning.

Atmosphere is pretty, we came to try something new from our usual spot. Parking was blocked off nearby for some reason, they don’t take phone calls to confirm if we could be seated before we drove there, sushi rice was a bit hard on some rolls. And had very little variety. Sat one hour before closing and we were still waiting for more exciting rolls to come out, no We had to order our own salmon nigiri, a staple in conveyer belts normally. They were cleaning up, taking out trash and stopped putting out new rolls while we were still looking forward to more

Quite disappointing. Stick the the O.G Katana.
Food was incredibly overpriced for half rolls, not to mention quality seemed quite low. Think worse than Publix sushi.
Plates start at $5.50 for 4 pieces of the the most basic sushi and go up to $12+
Thankfully the boats bring the sushi as service is sub par. Took 20+ minutes to get the bills, for them to all come out wrong. After multiple rounds of getting the bills correct, one of us was still overcharged.
Also , when did restaurants start charging credit card fees?!
In short, cool concept. But save your time and money.

I was disappointed for the type of experience I had today. Way to expensive for half rolls, and the server was very rude. I was looking forward to a good experience, but unfortunately it was bad. They jacked up their prices, and are super stingy on their portions. Also, I had asked them to make me a personal roll, and was charged for both portions which was almost 20 dollars, when I asked for one. So, a half roll is considered a full plate, so if you get two plates which one roll, you are paying almost 20 dollars, how expensive. Sushi Lucy was good 3 years ago but now it is terrible... I am really disappointed with the new Sushi Lucy.. You pay almost 20 dollars for one tiny jb roll with very little salmon. This place will not fill you up!!! Spending 50 dollars for bad quality sushi and stingy portions... Also, they do not even put every roll on the boat, which is ridiculous. They add all these random taxes, and then expect you tip 18-20 percent when nobody is serving you lollll... Why is it almost 10 dollars for two tiny crispy rice?? Why do you have all these random taxes? There are much better sushi places out there, that give you big portions that match the price! Worst experience I had, missed the old Sushi Lucy. The staff there do not know anything about the type of rolls when asked. The lack of knowledge the servers have is embarrassing. Considering, you guys were closed for three years that should have been ample time to train your staff properly. One staff said, "it is my first day, I do not anything about the sushi rolls". Why are the servers not properly trained? They do not have any knowledgeable on the rolls and menu.. Despite, some of them being rude... The prices and service does not match the experience.

The chef making the Sashimi and Nigiri was super helpful and made my fiancé so many shrimp nigiris 😂. We had a great time it was worth it! Truly a hidden gem. We came, we saw, and we definitely conquered.

Came at 1:25PM on 9/1/23 and it was closed. The lights were on and no one answered the phone.

One of my favorite sushi restaurants, excellent quality food and I liked the unique experience. At a point I was going almost every week!
I’ve been calling to see if it opened again for dine in, left messages, haven’t heard back, I would really appreciate knowing so I can finally eat here again.

This was the first time I tried an experience like this and I’m so glad I came. The sushi was absolutely fresh and deLicious. The sushi was of quality and the pricing was very simple. If youR coming in hungrY this place can be expensive. My bill was around $50, but I do not regret it because the experriencee aNd sushi was amazing. Their will most likely be a wait because the restaurant is small.

good sushi, and novel and nice way to serve

The food quality and dishes are absolutely incredible, but the service was really disappointing. There was one waitress for the whole restaurant: two four tops and the entire 16 seat bar. We didn't see her for 20 minutes after she took our drink order and then we had to wait another 20+ minutes for more water and ginger/wasabi, which sucks when you're eating sushi. They definitely need one more server working.

The place, and ambiance was fine since is a fairly small restaurant. The music was nice and the owner was very attentive to the customers. There is plenty of parking in the back of the building if you can't find any in the front. The place was bit warm, and I am always cold in restaurants. The wait was less than 10 minutes, not too pack but if you want to get strategic sitting? Get the ones close to the chef preparing the sushi, if not? Whoever is before you will get the best ones. The cost goes as per the color of the plates and a separate menu that they have. From all the selections there was a lower price which is for $3.00 dollars. In the hour that we were there, the guy only prepared one white plate with rice and avocado. If you are going to have all options up there? Go ahead and make them all available like all the others, no matter what is on the plate. There were moments were the food was being prepared in the kitchen, and adding more to the boats from there. And there were moments were there was no food added, felt like been force to eat the expensive 4 pieces of sushi for $6.50 that kept floating around for a while. Food was good but to expensive for what it is. We wanted to try something new, and we did but for us was a one time thing only.

The place is well kept and clean. Service was attentive and friendly. Food variety was not there, though. Just like the previous poster stated, Katana is vastly superior as far quality, service, and variety. Food had no flavour, contrast to most reviews posted. Majority of plates were the yellow flowery ones. Yeah, we could have ordered from the menu, but would have been substantially more expensive. Was charged 6 plates and only consumed 5. Plus an 18% tip. Not satisfied. Went to Katana right after. Much improvement is needed based on my first time experience.

Is Katanas full? Come here. You still won't be disappointed. One star missing because Katanas has more variety.

This restaurant is so original and the food is amazing! I love the floating boats that bring your dim sum style sushi to you. Everything is made fresh and you can order anything that’s not on the “conveyor style” menu. Will be back. A great experience all together

I felt unwelcome since the moment I walked in trough the door. The staff didn’t seem to know how/ where to sit us. The place is not big but there was only like 2-5 people max when me and my family got there. They came on to ask us if the children were going to consume because if they weren’t we needed to give us their chair. As the night progress the service kept being bad. Not by the waitress exactly but by the guy behind the bar. He kept screaming and talking in a bad way to the waitress. Lastly, he came to the table and asked half of the family to please pay and leave since we have not been consuming for a while and he had people waiting to be sit.

Sushi Lucy is a wonderful place for a first date or casual night out. The ambiance is superb and cozy. Small enough restaurant to look like a home in the wall but big enough for a small party. The restaurant has sushi boats going around with select sushi, you simply grab a plate and keep the plate. At the end of your meal your server counts all the plates and that’s your total, it’s a serve yourself sushi spot of what you like. 4 stars because the service was superb and the actual restaurant is very well kept and it’s something we’re not used to in south Florida with the sushi boats. However, quite pricey for the quality of sushi they provide. It’s cool and fun for the first time but if you want quality sushi I’d recommend looking somewhere else, if you’re in the area and want a cute date spot this is the place

The food was good , the concepts of the boats serving the food were awesome. But the service was not, did not ask me if i was missing or needing anything. It was my daughters birthday and i did not feel as if the service was satisfying

Sushi Lucy has to be by far the most amazing sushi restaurant in South Florida. The flavor of the food and the atmosphere my goodness is from another world. I used to have second thoughts about eating sushi but their chef has done the unthinkable. He has turned me into a sushi eating machine. If you want to try the most flavorful rolls in SFL please stop by and get ready to be transported to the other side of the world with just one bite. Thank you

Limited options but presented in a fun way. Kind of like eating sushi tapas style. Definitely want to go when they are moderately busy -- if it's slow the sushi stays on the boats for quite awhile, if it's busy you might have to wait for a good selection to float by, depends on where you're sitting. Of course, you can order direct with the waiter but that kind of ruins the experience. Our favorite was the spicy tuna roll.
