Jason, our waiter, was absolutely incredible.

This place is an absolute gem in Miami. Low key vibes and impeccable service. Paperfish is, without a doubt, my favorite sushi restaurant in Miami. The food is absolutely incredible - the fish is always fresh and flavorful, and the chefs are incredibly creative with their rolls. I've never had a bad dish here. The service is also top-notch - the staff is always friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is also great - the restaurant is stylish and modern, but it still feels warm and inviting. I highly recommend Paperfish to anyone looking for a great sushi experience in Miami.

This place feels like a speakeasy. Hidden right next to the metro rail. Stop reading this and go!

Hey guys, I recently visited “Paperfish” and had a mixed experience. The food itself was quite nice, with well-prepared dishes that were flavorful and enjoyable. However, the service fell short—there was a noticeable lack of attention from the staff, making it hard to get timely assistance. Additionally, the restaurant was extremely noisy, which made it difficult to have a conversation and took away from the overall dining experience. While the food was good, the noise level and inattentive service left me feeling underwhelmed.

Wow! Would highly recommend this place. We came for the Miami spice menu and the food was just incredible. The sushi was so fresh, the fish literally just melted in your mouth. Absolutely amazing. And we had the miso cod...man that did not even taste like fish. It just tasted like a cake or something. So well cooked, felt like I was eating a dessert or something haha.

Long story short, definitely try this place!

The food and cocktails were delicious, and the service was exceptionally attentive. I wouldn’t say the sushi is the best in Miami, but it’s decent. One suggestion: the restaurant could benefit from additional wayfinding signage to guide guests to the entrance. My partner and I visited for the first time, and finding the entrance was challenging. For reference, if you’re facing Barsecco, head down SE 14th Street, turn right into the alley, and then take another right until you spot the red entrance.

I absolutely loved this place. I visited here for dinner on a weekday. Andrej was our server and he was great. Honestly, I enjoyed everything I ordered. I would highly recommend the black miso cod bites, misuna sushi, hotruffle, and the flower blossom drink. I look forward to my next visit here.

Great interior. Clean. But the menu is quite limited.
Still it has some good options.
Truffle fried rice, aburi and great miso soup.
This is my third time here and unfortunately this is the only selection I was doing all three times.the food is very average.

All my visits here have been highly enjoyable with friendly service, great cocktails, and delicious food options. The decor is sophisticated and classic. A little hidden by the Metromover station, but worth the hunt. Highly recommended.

I came here with friends and family to celebrate my 27th birthday and I loved it! I have a gluten allergy and our server was very attentive to my allergy. She provided GF soy sauce. I also had a lychee martini and it was very good. I loved the ambiance as well. Overall, I would recommend and plan to return soon!

I hadn’t tasted Japanese food this good in a long time – reminiscent of, or perhaps even better than, my beloved Peruvian makis. This is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Miami, far surpassing similar spots in the area. The fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavors is exquisite, with each bite delivering a perfect balance of taste and texture. The service is top-notch – 5 out of 5, as is the food and atmosphere. The price, while a bit high (4 out of 5), reflects the quality and uniqueness of the experience. This is not a spot for every budget, but for those who appreciate exceptional cuisine, it’s worth every penny.

Cela faisait longtemps que je n'avais pas goûté une cuisine japonaise aussi délicieuse – un goût qui rappelle, voire dépasse, mes chers makis péruviens. C’est sans doute l’un des meilleurs restaurants de Miami, surpassant largement d’autres établissements similaires dans la région. La fusion des saveurs japonaises et péruviennes est exquise, chaque bouchée offrant un équilibre parfait de goût et de texture. Le service est irréprochable – 5 sur 5, tout comme la nourriture et l’atmosphère. Le prix, un peu élevé (4 sur 5), reflète la qualité et l’originalité de l’expérience. I’m from 🇯🇵 and living in the west coast - I was not mentally prepared to have a Miami style of sushi so my review reflects that.

The service was very good - our server was polite and very tentative. The atmosphere and drinks were good too, but the food was a bit too unique for my taste. Sushi rice was chewy and way too much searing on many fish pieces for sushi. I was also shocked to see the sweet ceviches (tuna with watermelons and cucumbers, and salmon with mango sauce) on $120 omakase for two..

I love Latino food in general but food at Paperfish was too strange for me, even as Asian/latino fusion. ( i also saw many people eating their fried rice, so maybe it was wrong of me to go here and expected to have a semi-decent traditional Japanese sushi 🥲)

I recently visited “Paperfish” and had a mixed experience. The sushi rolls, edamame and truffled scallops were delicious, well-prepared dishes that were flavorful and enjoyable. However, the rice and noodle dishes were so full of salt they were inedible. We mentioned it to the waitress who advised that it must be the oyster sauce. We told her we live in Asia so we know all about soy/oyster sauce but that these food items were way more salty than that.
In addition the overall the service fell short, I had to ask for more water multiple times, poured my own wine and of course, there was the lack of interest/care regarding the salty food items. Overall, some food was good, some terrible. Some service good, some not so much. Overall I was underwhelmed for the price but paid.

Came here a while ago and it used to be great.. I recently went again, the portions got smaller and the food got worse. The sushi is not sushi. The rice was super dry and stale. The fish was okay. If you’re looking for good sushi, stay away from this place. It’s also way overpriced.

This place may be one of my favorite happy hours right now! First, a daily happy hour from 4-7 pm, as in yes, even on weekends! Second, you tell me how many happy hours you have found in Brickell on the weekends, much less a happy hour you actually want to go for.

The entrance is certainly the most creative one I've walked through, with a replica of a torii (a temple gate) surrounding the staircase up. It was kind of hard to find, despite my putting in the correct address in an Uber. My friend and I had to walk around the block and past Barsecco a couple times before being able to find it. I couldn't even find it and it took a worker in the back of a building, asking if I was looking for the restaurant, and he pointed me towards the entrance. Once you find it, though, it is a treat to be inside. The ceilings are high, and there are cherry blossom replicas decorating the booth ledges to give it a cute Japanese feel.

The cocktails are $7.95 each during happy hour and are well crafted. I had a Passion Fruit Martini which had plenty of fresh fruit flavor, without being overly sweet, as well as a Dragon Mule which is a Moscow Mule made with dragon fruit. The purple color of the dragon fruit made an ordinary fresh mule so delightful to drink. We sat at the bar and could see our drinks being carefully made, which explained the great quality of the drinks. The lychee martini was also incredibly great/strong, combining the candy sweetness of puréed lychee with the punch of vodka--- exactly what you want in one.
They have sake, white and red wine, and beer for $6.95 during happy hour as well. Pretty amazing pricing for Brickell!

The food offerings do not disappoint either. Each happy hour food item is $7.95 and are satisfying to have. We had two orders of the sashimi chef selection, and it came with thick cuts of very fresh akami tuna, hamachi and salmon. We shared a 5 piece roll of the Hamachi Jalapeño which was also fresh and flavorful but not overly dressed, so I could taste the fleshy hamachi inside with the zesty micro greens on the outside. Salmon Nigiri is also offered for four pieces in a dish, and I'm glad we got two orders of them. The sushi rice amount was just right for nigiri, and the salmon was the perfect amount of flesh and fatty that I wanted about 20 more of them.

This was a great way to have some wonderful bites and drinks in the start of what turned into a night out in Brickell! I've already told friends about the drinks and menu items, and I'm already thinking about when to go back! You should try it too!

I was enjoying my sushi untill I went to the toilets to see people trading pills and white powder with an odd smell, there was also a massive chainsaw shoved in the urinal. The person trading has a blue Hawaiian shirt, blue jeans, and white and black adidas shoes

When there to get sushi for my pregnant wife who can only eat pre-cooked surimi so I kindly asked to hostess/ waitress behind the bar to please make sure that when they prepare the California roll to make it an area that has not handled raw fish with A clean knife. She directed me to the three rolls in the menu that were cooked and insisted the California roll made with creamy was completely raw. I tried to explain her that most surimi comes pre-cooked in the package so she went to the back and asked the chef and she came back to tell me that the California roll is Ross's they don't cook the roll or the surimi. I also showed her several articles online that explain how surimi is prepped and that most of it is pre cooked. However, she refused to go back and ask the chef again or show me the packaging of their surimi and just insisted that I was wrong. My wife only likes California roll so I just had to leave without getting any roll. Now it's late and we're hungry without any sushi. I don't plan to return even after my wife delivers.

Hands down the best sushi restaurant I have ever been to. It’s the second time I go, our waitress this time was Juliana, she made us feel at home and she is very attentive and helpful, she gave us menu recommendations and checked on us frequently enough. The food is always fresh and delicious. I wish I could say this is a paid ad, but it's not. Definitely worth the money. The Ebi Katsu is my favorite roll, I added avocado and it was truly perfect.

My wife, friend, and I ate here for dinner on Sunday 10/20.
The places has a very unique vibe and it is tastefully decorated.
We first ordered drinks. I had the Wasabi Martini which was okay, nothing to brag about and also had the Cucuzaki which was delicious and well made. My wife and friend had the Flower Blossom drinks each, and also the Blueberry Lemon Drop Martini and Hanami Champagne which they enjoyed.

For starters we ordered the Tiradito Apasionado which is ceviche with Passion Fruit flavor. While it was not bad, I think it was too sweet and took away the flavor of the Salmon. We also had the Nikkei Ceviche which was delicious, and we had the Gyoza a la Nippon which were just okay if i may say so myself. The Crispy Rice were not the greatest in our opinion, rice was too hard to chew since it was fried.

For the main course we ordered the Paper Tuna roll, Misuna roll, and Acevichado roll which were all fantastic and delicious.

While the server was mostly nice she seem kind of "done for the day" since we left when it was time for them to close.

Overall, the food was good, drinks were good and the vibes of this place were good too. Will come back and dine here again.

Not good enough to rate more than average.

We ordered two appetizers, one entree and a roll to be served with the entree.

First to arrive was the roll with a bowl of rice that was to accompany the entree.

The roll was excellent but I had to eat one piece every minute while we waited 15 minutes for the first appetizer. We then waited another 20 minutes for the entree to arrive, while the rice had now been sat there for more than 30 minutes, and then the last item arrived, the second appetizer !

The roll and the gyoza were excellent. The steamed grouper entree was a nice piece of fish but it was swimming in what tasted like 1/2 a gallon of soy sauce, way too strong !

Considering the consistent high reviews for the restaurant, we were very disappointed.

Great happy hour dishes and wine was on the spot but just a little confusing when the bill
Came and I see a service charge of 20% which is perfect but when I was paying I asked the server if that was tip and he told that that’s divided amount everyone that works there and that the tip I leave on my own is all his! Confusing and I ended up leaving an extra 20 percent which is confusing! Why can’t as costumers just leave a tip based on our satisfaction, experience ? Somehow I feel

I celebrated a friends birthday here and was overall disappointed with service, but the food itself was delicious!! I will say we went on a Friday night so it was packed. They seemed understaffed. We were a party of 6 and we waited about 20 minutes before anyone gave us water. Our server would pop by for a second but she was in such a hurry we couldn't get an order in with her. She said she'd be right back with water but another 10 minutes passed before she came back. I saw her running around by the bar, and even on their patio. For a restaurant this size they should have more servers, and bussers making sure tables are greeted and get water quickly. Once we finally ordered, the food came out at a good pace. However, one of my friends didn't receive her food at the same time. We waited a bit but the table decided to go ahead and eat. Her plate came out probably 10 minutes after the rest of us, under the guise that it had to "come out hot" since it was the beef plate. She was further disappointed that the beef itself comes out raw and she had to cook it herself on the little grill it comes with. When we got the check, we had to remind the server to remove the birthday dessert that was supposed to be complimentary. Overall, the drinks were outstanding, sushi was fresh and delicious, but purely based on the service I wont come back.

I've been coming here for years and it's the best sushi in Miami! I highly recommend Paperfish Sushi - Brickell. If you're going on a Friday or Saturday evening get reservations in advance, of course that goes without saying for most establishments in Miami!

Andre our server from Macedonia was amazing! My girl Genelle & I had an our weekly girls night here and we had such a great happy hour and dinner and lovely curated gathering of cocktails. I came on a friday night, and I was actually super excited to come here. only because, I’ve passed it multiple times due to it being conveniently located near the metro. also because the entrance is super intriguing making you feel like you’re in japan (iykyk). but they fell short on their lack on communication and customer service. the hostess was quick to immediately tell us, we can’t accommodate you inside because we have reservations. never did she once, try or offer any options to satisfy us. to me, it’s about trying and doing your best. she didn’t even try and shut me down with a no and to go to the bar. until another lady accommodated us politely. I didn’t really enjoy how you have to close your tab at the bar in order to be seated. crazy how we live in 2024 and you can’t transfer checks lmao. the server was alright. I guess going to a mid-class sushi restaurant gives you inadequate service. genuinely, it makes me feel like I have to spend top quality money (like novikov, zuma, and etc) to get amazing service. I may not be a server, but the lady kept pouring water in front of me. blocking me with her hand in order to fill our waters. number one rule as a server, never block the guests view with your arms. so for the service I received was poor. leading to a no tip and no empathy for receiving a no tip. try harder to actually satisfy your guests. thank you.

All my visits here have been highly enjoyable with friendly service, great cocktails, and delicious food options. The decor is sophisticated and classic. A little hidden by the Metromover station, but worth the hunt. Highly recommended.

The fish quality was mixed - from ok to very poor - hotate was very fishy, hamachi/unagi - ok, but crazy small pieces, uni was very poor - runny, diluted and somewhat sour. Worst of all, many of the sushi chefs are cramming food in their mouths with gloves on and then continuing to make the sushi without changing gloves - nasty! Won’t return.

Paperfish in Miami boasts an incredible outdoor and indoor atmosphere, complete with beautiful cherry blossom trees and a fantastic aesthetic that makes dining here super visually exciting. The ambiance is both chic and inviting, making it a great spot for a night (or day) out.

The food, while decent, didn’t leave a lasting impression. The dishes were well-prepared and tasty, but nothing stood out as particularly memorable. However, the overall experience, thanks to the stunning decor and pleasant environment, more than made up for it.

If you're looking for a place with a great setting and good food, Paperfish is definitely worth a visit.

The food portion was pathetic for two sushi rolls priced at $50 together. There are extremely small. I ordered a fried rice and for $8 extra I added beef. When I received my order there was only 3 pieces of beef. Highly disappointed with the size and taste. Not worth it. Save your money.

This is for uber eats order, it was timely the package was awesome. The food was garbage. The tuna is frozen and came white pink and old, the salmon was not edible. The truffle rice had an insane amount of
Truffle oil, we could not eat and if this food. Truly a waste of $100

Paperfish Sushi is fusion of Asian and Peruvian flavors. The Ceviche Sampler was a highlight of the meal, offering a delightful array of fresh, tangy, and flavorful bites. The Wagyu was overcooked, resulting in a dry texture that detracted from the dish's potential.

The cocktails were commendable, perfectly balanced and refreshing, complementing the meal nicely. Additionally, the service was excellent, with attentive and friendly staff enhancing the dining experience.

One notable issue was finding the restaurant. Whether due to ongoing construction or inadequate signage, the entrance was difficult to locate, which could be frustrating for first-time visitors.

Queria agradecer la maravillosa atencion de Rocio que nos recomento el mejor sushi que comi en mi vida, dragon roll realmente exquisito!! Y un arroz con vegetales y camarones!!! El luegar es bellisimo con conto que parte de la decoración tiene arboles de cerezos que dan una armonia hermosa en al lugar, la decoración es muy linda!

Fui a comer al lugar muy recomendable, el pescado muy fresco del día muy importante. Tengo que recalcar la atención de las camareras muy buena siempre pendiente y todo a tiempo. Recomiendo el Tsukiyi Bentonox es un almuerzo muy fresco, ideal para las temperaturas de Miami.

PaperFish sushi was amazing. Great ambiance, food and service. Only reason I gave 4 stars was cocktail was about $18 and hella small and not much liquor in it. Go for the sushi but byob your cold drinks.

We had a good experience when dining in in the past. However, we ordered food to go, and it took them an hour and a half from the time we ordered until getting our food, including standing at the restaurant for.more than an hour. The staff were nice but couldn't provide an explanation for why our food took so long, given the restaurant didn't appear busy

I had an amazing dinner at Paperfish. The drinks were amazing. Then we had the crispy rice appetizer and for dinner we tried acevichado and wagyu in the rock. To finish, we opt for the cream bule which was well made and flavory. The restaurant looks pretty and well decorated. I recommend it.

The black cod is very nice, and so is the crispy rice sushi. The other nigiri are also delectable.

Got the lychee martini 4/10. It was all vodka and no lychee. Got the sashimi/nigiri platter, the fish was not fresh and had a strong metallic taste. AND ON TOP OF ALL OF THAT this place has the audacity to immediately charge a 20% service fee. I mean come on.

Go to Moshi Moshi instead. You get way better bang for your buck and the sushi is so much more fresh. AND they actually warn you about their service fee so you’re not shocked at the end of the meal.

This place was a 10/10. Food. Ambiance. Service. So impressed. It is a bit pricey but it’s Miami. And I was very very happy. The dragon roll, baby corn and wagyu dumpling was my favorite!!! Super happy will highly recommend and will come back again! Our server Jelome was also so kind.

Went here for happy hour and it didn’t disappoint. The sushi is very tasty, drinks are also really good, and overall, the restaurant is super cute. The waiter was also very friendly and attentive and we enjoyed our time there. I definitely recommend this place for a good sushi.

OMG!! I heard so much about this place from my aunt who lives in Miami. However, every time we would try to go something would happen and we would miss our reservation or we couldn’t go. Well we finally went and let me tell you it lived up to all the HYPE!!

The food is absolutely incredible, probably some of the best sushi I’ve ever had. Chefs kiss!

The atmosphere is beautiful!! It’s so live, great music and super cute! Cherry blossoms are a nice touch. Felt like I was in Japan again.

Can’t say enough about the customer service. Our waiter was AWESOME!! He made the whole night. The runners were just as awesome as well. Overall 5 stars!! EXCELLENT! ❤️

I would recommend this place if you would like some Japanese food. It is a bit pricey for some of the items but it is good. Their wagyu fried rice and Wagyu bao buns were really good! I don’t know this time I visited they literally wouldn’t refill our water :/ but other than that this place is really good!

We had a great evening! This was our second visit to PaperFish. Our waitress was very kind and friendly. The food and drinks were delicious, and the place is just gorgeous! An extra plus is how knowledgeable the staff is about gluten free food and Celiac disease. For those that are gf, this place has so many delicious options!! We will most definitely be back.

De lo mejorcito para cenar en Miami. Realmente es uno de los pocos sitios que probamos en Miami del que se puede decir que tiene una buena relación calidad-precio. Aunque estuvimos en la terraza, la decoración del interior es muy bonita y acogedora y todo lo que probamos estaba riquísimo: los maki, los nigiri, edamame... todo espectacular y la atención excelente.
Sin duda, Paperfish en La Española Way será un restaurante al que volveré en mi próxima visita a la ciudad.

Amazing. We ordered the tuna crispy rice, the ebi katsu roll, toro nigiri, and the truffled scallops. Everything was beyond delicious! The food came out quickly and our server Ana was very kind, patient, and knowledgeable about the menu. 10/10 must.

Good environment, but I think maybe it was understaff, it took almost 20 min to get my order, my sushi came after my wife ate all hers, so it was pretty disappointing, also the drinks came after the entrée, was all very uncoordinated.
