First, let me say I eat allot of sushi! The sushi quality was about a 6/10. Soups were great. That’s so we ordered besides sushi because of the size of the rolls. Second, be VERY mindful when ordering your rolls. They are full sized rolls. So if you don’t like your roll or you leave a piece, they charge you extra. Even if you didn’t like the roll. So we just paid $66 for 4 rolls, 1 of which was horrible! Crazy. Definitely won’t be returning.

First time and last time at Miya. I was looking forward to checking out a different all you can eat sushi place. The Japanese ambiance was nice, but I wasn't impressed by the service or menu.
I went for a weekday lunch. For $14.99 per person all you can eat I thought that was a great deal. I ordered a Thai Tea bubble tea for $5.50 extra. When it arrived, I took one sip and knew that it wasn't boba. It was harder and not round like the traditional tapioca pearls. I asked the waiter what kind of boba this was and she called over another female employee who spoke English. I asked her if this was boba and she said yes. Then I asked her what kind it was and she told me that it was jelly and that they were actually out of tapioca. A few moments later when the English speaking emoloyee asked if I needed anything else I told her that I didn't like my bubble tea because it wasn't what I was expecting. She told me well you already tried it so now it's basura (which means trash in Spanish) and I pointed to her table top beverage menu to let her know that it advertised bubble tea and that it should also state that they are out of tapioca pearls. Also, I had to taste it in order to know that it wasn't tapioca. Although she gave me attitude, I wasn't charged for the bubble tea. Our original non-English speaking waitress was attentive and cleared our empty dishes and refilled our drinks as needed without being asked.
The sushi was average. Publix has better sushi to be honest. We drove 23 minutes to eat here and I wouldn't recommend it for sushi or bubble tea lol. The green tea ice cream was excellent though! For sushi and service, I would recommend Rainbow Sushi on Beach Blvd instead.
Also, it's worth nothing that nigiri or sashimi is not offered on the lunch AYCE buffet menu which I think is a disservice to customers as other sushi places offer it. For dessert, they only serve green tea ice cream (they offered red bean ice cream before according to previous photos).

Miya sushi has become my go-to ‘all you can eat’ sushi spot in Jacksonville! I think what sets them apart from similar restaurants is their great selection of appetizers and sides beyond the sushi itself. The sushi also seems fresh and decent quality. The tuna and salmon sashimi, spicy tuna roll, and fried calamari are some of my favorites! The rolls are also big in size and filling.
The service is okay and the wait time is average. Sometimes the food can take longer to come out depending on how busy the restaurant is.
Beware of their left over food policy! They charge for left over pieces so try not to over-order.

The best AYCE sushi restaurant in Northeast Florida, period. Great variety of sushi and appetizers/kitchen items on lunch and dinner menus alike, good à la carte selection as well. Staff is very welcoming and attentive. Unlike many other AYCE restaurants in Jacksonville you can order everything you want at once however there is a fee for wasted rolls/nigiri. Highly recommend to any lovers of Asian cuisine.

Update: 11/02/24 - I have ordered the sushi lunch with the two special rolls over the last month. I usually get the ginger salad dressing with the tossed salad. I'm pleased to report that the quality and volume of the lunch is back up to original standards and is very good. I am increasing the review rating to five stars. I'm also placing new photos of the experiences.
Update: 3/21/24 - I ordered a Maki C Sushi Dinner and it was great. I placed a new picture in the photos and it was delicious as it looks.
Update: 3/7/24 - a little bit better than previous lunch experience. I had dinner and ordered a Maki B Sushi. I've actually ordered this twice and it came out different each time, but both pleasing. I bumped up my rating one star after lowering it in the previous poor lunch experience. I've updated photos and it was a delicious dinner.
Update: 8/9/23 - Not so good today for lunch. Quality was almost as good but I noticed portions were a good deal smaller. So losing points on value. I ordered the sushi lunch special. It comes with a salad or soup - I get the salad with ginger dressing. Usually the bowl is full of lettuce but today was only half full. The homemade dressing was wonderful as always. However, not much to eat there.
Then the sushi came as it usually does - two special rolls, my choice. They were small in both length and diameter. Usually they are big and I would say these were half the food volume I used to be served. So I left hungry and went to get a sandwich elsewhere. Lunches (two) cost me a lot more, took more time and I was disappointed. I don't know if it was an "off" day for the restaurant or if this is the new normal with higher costs and 'shrinkflation'? I will try again sometime soon to find out.
For now I am removing stars for value and inattentive service this time from the previous 5-star rating. I will modify the review to reflect current experiences.
Update 6/6/23 - I am still going regularly. The sushi is still magnificent and other dinners are great. We've tried General Tso's Chicken and Spicy Chicken, both fantastic. A friend had the Steamed Garlic Boc Choy, I tried it and thought it was tasty for a vegetarian dish. The best part are the prices - the least expensive in Jax. You get top quality and low prices - how can you beat that?!
I have eaten sushi and sashimi all over the world and this place is fantastic! The best part is that I live within 3 blocks and have enjoyed going there many times. I have taken 12 friends there and all have been impressed with the quality of the food at lunch or dinner.
The service has been great, the staff friendly and it is always clean and orderly. I ate there on 5/14 just after they reopened from the state closures and tonight 5/23 - consistently good and for a reasonable price.
Just look at the photos - absolutely beautiful sushi and dinner!

The sushi was pretty, but definitely not the greatest. I enjoyed the seaweed salad. The kani salad had some weird shredded something on top. It looked like parmesan cheese. I asked the server for no cream cheese or mango in my rolls and one of them still ended up with mango in it. If you just want to get a quick fill up for about $24 including a drink and tip, this is your place.

The price here is excellent, I couldn't believe how affordable it was. It was situated a bit away from our hotel, but we ate here twice during a four day business trip. The food itself is great, and there wasn't anything that we ate that we didn't like. The presentation was excellent with every dish, with sushi being served on an appropriately sized dish and decorated beautifully. The service was great, and they weren't hesitant to bring you more food or another menu. The food came out fast and they continuously bring it to you. The green tea ice cream is highly recommended, as it was not too bitter, or too sweet, which is often the case, and I finished both dinners with a serving of it.

Positive first:
Ok/good food. Got extra hot tea and sake for FREE bc they made some mistakes. They smile and are pleasant. Food arrived quickly.
Yummy green tea ice cream. All seems fresh and quality food.
Negative: ordered tea. They didn’t bring it
Ordered lots of did rolls. They only brought one. It was nasty bad taste and texture. Fried in tempura. I told them it’s awful and I don’t want it. They became upset with me for returning it.
We waited for the rest of the rolls to come but I guess they forgot about them.
They never brought us water
Overall in all of our orders, they forgot something g 3 times. Either the cooks don’t read the tickets or I have no idea.
Bathrooms stinky and dirty.
Overall I didn’t like the service but they did make up for it. I guess it was the owner. He gave us extra sake and hot tea.
Just improve the ordering system and I’ll return

Food was great & service was great. But they stared @ us like we were thieves or something the entire time we ate. They literally watched everything going in our mouths. Made it very uncomfortable to have a nice dinner while being watched like I was a child. Not sure if they were just bored or are required to watch you eat. But we won't be back due to these circumstances

The food is not very good. The rice on the sushi was a bit dry and the taste was not terrible but it wasn't good. A home cook could have made sushi just as good if not better. The tempura batter was really thick and the sweet potato one was not soft enough. The eel was bony and chewy. The miso soup was fine. The salmon sashimi was cut really thick but it was good which isn't saying much since all they did to it was cut it. If you have low sushi standards (i.e., you think the Publix sushi is fine) then you'll probably be okay here.

I have gone to a couple of all you can eat sushi restaurants around Jacksonville. This so far has been the best. The service is spot on,fast and friendly. I ordered an app which I normally do not do and was surprised with the amount of calamari and the seasoning was great. Normally the hibachi is a small amount not here. If you added some rice it's a meal. I tried both the chicken and shrimp. But are tasty. The rolls are full size 8 pieces not the little ones you normally get. For the price you can not beat it. If you leave hungry it's on you.

This place can't even fathom the thought of competing with Sushi X. I was excited to try something new with a similar concept as Sushi x and I 100% regret it.
I got 1 sushi roll and I didn't like it, rice was bland and the mango on too was a bit on the sour side. I got two hand rolls and the Nori was cheap quality, no crunch to it what so ever and more rice than anything else in them. The Shrimp sauce is cheap quality too, it had to have had Miracle Whip mayo in it, that's all I could taste. Chicken and veggies teriyaki were missing 1. Seasoning and 2. THE TERIYAKI! Tried my husband's steak... bland. I also got "lumpia" twice... it was really a spring roll. First time I thought maybe they made a mistake but second time I got the same thing. I didn't even care to ask at that point. The only things that were good were the Miso soup, clean soup and the spring rolls. Service wasn't bad, they were friendly and My water was consistently being filled, I'd say it's pricey for the quality of the food you get.

We love this place! The food is great and it’s a very good value! Order fresh and they just keep bringing whatever you want! They have excellent service…very attentive…only those who don’t want to be served hand over foot wouldn’t like it! Dragon, the best sushi chef ever, is so nice…they are like family here! We love it and them!!! There is a small charge for uneaten sushi but if our eyes are bigger than our tummies, we pay the extra and take it home…that’s only fair…who wants to waste food?!?! They do forget items sometimes but that’s reasonable considering we’re ordering large amounts of many varieties at the same time…they always make it right as soon as we give a friendly reminder! Excellent and highly recommend!

Wish I could give it zero stars. I ordered the all you can eat sushi, started with three rolls and did not like a single one. All tasted old and cheap. Cheap shrimp sauce, cheap frozen kitchen foods. I asked to send back the sushi rolls and they proceeded to charge me an extra 12$ on top of the 26$ all you can eat. Never go to this place. Go to Fuji sushi. They were all very rude.

This is the pettiness that broke the camels back…they presented me my receipt, then went back and up charged $2 for what?!?

Absolutely the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Came up to me after staring and point at me and wife the entire night and told me I need to eat more sushi or I need to pay. She said her boss told her that’s what I needed to do. Very intrusive. The seating is extremely uncomfortable. The chicken and and sushi smelled and tasted like it had been cooked in hot dog flavored water. This place seriously needs to be closed down and immediately condemned for the entire building to be cleaned.

2nd Edit: we went back hoping they would change. It's even worse. They stare at u the whole time! We got the all-you-can-eat. Edamame was dry & flavorless. We ate over half & put it with the rest of our used plates for the waitress to take. She looked through every bowl, took the bowl with edamame & placed it in front of us and said we weren't finished. This bowl had other bowls stacked on it. We were in shock! She acted like she was charging us for not finishing it.
This place has good food but the people are SOOOO rude, money-hungry & just disrespectful. I won't be back.
Edit: The food was good with a ton of variety. The service on the other hand was very difficult to say the least. Short staffed, very limited drink refills & long wait time for all our food.
The worst part is, we were frequent visitors & always ordered the same items on the buffet. One time I was having stomach issues where I could only eat 3 bites & I was full. The owner said I could order my usual items & nothing more, but take home what I dont finish. I wasn't about to pay $12 for 3 bites. She agreed then wanted to charge me extra for not finishing it. So my 3 bites plus left over (if I took them or not) would have been $35!!! She made a huge scene like I couldn't pay my bill. So embarrassed & haven't been back since. This WAS our weekly dining out.
The food isn't worth the hassle. Fuji Sushi on San Jose is way better! You can even get the buffet to go. 8 sushi rolls for $12. Why won't Miya allow you to do the same? Just a shame. Much better options close by, we won't be back. 🤷🏽♀️

All-u-can-eat ($25 dinner). Looked like the sushi was prepared with care by the owner. No complaints whatsoever, fresh and tasty measured portions. Better quality than most AUCE sushi joints.
The waitresses could have been more attentive however. The delicious sushi came to the table in a timely manner, but I only received one small portion of wasabi and ginger from my waitress. I think the sushi chef was so good that he noticeably upstaged his wait staff when the place was at 1/3 capacity for early dinner.
I could have asked for more sides and order tickets, but the wait staff had a tendency to disappear.
I enjoyed my fill nevertheless and would return. Two imported beers @ $5 each was reasonable + tips brought the bill total to $43.

First of all… if youre a fan of Fuji DROP THEM. The quality is so much higher at this spot than even some of the non-all you can eat- places. EVERY roll I had was soo good and I wasn’t even worried about the yum yum sauce or soy sauce at all (which is very unlike me). The quality was incredible. They have more appetizers, they even have a couple dessert options on the AYCE, and everything is made in house including the sauces and they’re not all watered down like other places. ON top of all of this the service is FRIENDLY, top tier truly. Our server was super sweet throughout the entire time we were there and on top of everything. 10/10

Every employee talking and looking at us weird. My fiancee used the bathroom and found it very filthy. I figured that the costumers that order more they treat them better and charge them less. This is not all you can eat. We will never come back here.

High quality AYCE (made to order). My go to sushi restaurant when in Jacksonville. You will not be disappointed. They also have many cooked options - included at the same AYCE price. Lunch is scaled down (as is the price), but you can get the dinner menu all day, if you choose.

Bad service. The workers were extremely rude.

Unfortunately, the sushi chefs here do not know how to make sushi rice. It is extremely bland, which ruined the sushi. I agree with the other review that mentioned the rather bland sushi. The price was a bit steeper than I was expecting. My bill was $27 (I ordered water and it was just me). I will not be coming back.

We were having a great experience until the bill came with a charge for “leftovers.” When I asked what it was for it was for the lo mein noodles I ordered plain that came with sauce that my children didn’t eat. My kids are 5 and 8, they don’t eat much. They each ate one piece of chicken katsu and then didn’t eat the lo mein which they didn’t like and was not as ordered. I ended up paying $27 for two pieces of chicken and some pasta no one liked. When I questioned it I was told plain means no onions not no sauce, no one told me that when I placed the order…. When I told them we wouldn’t be back they didn’t care, at all. Extremely disappointing because we would have been willing to overlook the absolutely filthy bathroom had we had decent customer service.

By far the best all you can eat sushi place in town! Clean fresh and good service. I dear you to prove me wrong! Still going posted this 5 years ago... its 2023 and it dosen't getold

Awesome place. The only complaint is that the all-you-can-eat is full-size rolls. So it doesn't let you sample as many varieties as other all-you-can-eat places. But it is excellent.

Have eaten here a couple of times with my brother and fam one for dinner and one for lunch. Food was delicious as far as what we ordered. Last visit, I had the Peking duck and my wife ordered the pan fried noodles with chicken and shrimp. Good service! Friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed a fun lunch here. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The sushi chefs were on their game. Easy to order, just fill out the sheet and they bring it to you. Our waitress was a bit underwhelming in terms of her service but I believe she was the exception. The owner stopped by our table and she spent considerable time with us making sure we loved our food and if we had any additional feedback. She was genuinely great. Oh one more thing... where can you get AYCE sushi while watching Sponge Bob on TV? Definitely recommend and thank you.

Absolutely the best all you can eat sushi you can find at the price. The salmon is top quality, I highly recommend the sashimi. Staff is always helpful, I feel like a VIP here. Chefs are top notch and very friendly as well.
If I could leave any criticism: I think the sushi rice has slightly too strong if a vinegar flavor. If it had a more neutral flavor I think I would order a lot more nigiri. I think this place is still great and deserves many 5 star reviews.

On a tranquil Saturday afternoon around 4:30, we stumbled upon Miya Sushi, a gem in Jacksonville's culinary crown. One step inside, and we were greeted by a delightful ambiance, reminiscent of a pristine Japanese haven. Every staff member had a genuine smile, extending the kind of warmth that makes one feel like a regular, even on a first visit.
Their extensive menu left us spoilt for choice. With an all-you-can-eat option and à la carte delicacies, Miya Sushi dazzles with an array of offerings. Now, if you're skeptical about all-you-can-eat sushi spots compromising on quality, think again. The finesse with which each fish piece was presented, bursting with authentic flavors, made me a believer. Their sushi transcends the mundane – try the spicy tuna nigiri, a revelation that had our taste buds dancing.
Speaking of revelations, let's talk about that Miso soup! Far from the generic, off-the-shelf taste, theirs was a hearty bowl of warmth, filled with chunky vegetables, and onions that add depth, making every sip an exploration of genuine Japanese flavors.
The pièce de résistance, though, was their green tea ice cream. Its texture resembled soft clouds with the finest crystals, an experience so luxurious it could almost be mistaken for a handmade treat from the streets of Kyoto.
Constant drink refills, immaculate tables, and cozy booths enhanced the overall dining adventure. One can't help but feel Miya Sushi remains one of Jacksonville's best-kept secrets. From the salmon, tuna, mackerel to the red clam and eel, everything is a testament to their commitment to freshness.
In conclusion, Miya Sushi isn't just a dining spot; it's an experience. Jacksonville, if you're seeking sushi that resonates with your soul and makes you yearn for more, this is it. I'm bookmarking Miya Sushi as a weekly ritual, and I wholeheartedly believe it's among the top contenders for the best sushi in town. Dive in and let the flavors do the talking!

There’s a hidden gem in Jax, and that’s Miya Sushi! Firstly, the service was extraordinary, and variety of options were quite grand. Secondly, this is an all you can eat restaurant, and the menu was quite generous and the sushi is definitely great quality. The dessert was on point, and it was a generous scoop of green tea ice cream. The menu is quite large considering the fact there are two separate menus! One is dedicated to the sushi bar and the other is dedicated to the kitchen foods! The seating is extremely comfortable and the environment is quite cozy and cleanly. In conclusion, this is the best all-you-can-eat restaurant in Jacksonville.

Wont ever come back here. Its Never good when the establishment cheats and they do!! Shame on them for stuffing the tuna rolls. Same price... but half the product. Highly recommend that you find better sushi establishment.

Went to dinner with my family, and my daughter-in-law, who is black was disrespected by the staff. She wasn’t responded to by the waitress she wasn’t looked in the eye by the waitress. The waitress ignored her request, and her food came much later after everyone else’s my son, her husband requested that her tab be taken off the waitress and another waiter and I believe the owner got very upset after my son paid $100 of the $104 bill tab consequently the restaurant called the police. We are now sitting in the parking lot waiting to see what the police are going to say and do. My son has been a faithful customer for many years, but now will never come back and we will never recommend this restaurant to anyone else

This is a really awesome place for affordable all-you-can-eat sushi. There is an excellent selection of rolls and sashimi. There are also several appetizers and entrees that will appeal to people who don't like fish.

Sushi wasnt all that good. The rolls came out uneven sized, very big bites, very sloppy.
Employee doesnt explain anything when first coming in. (Personally didnt know it was all you can eat since i wanted to grab quick sushi) staff barely checked on us, and when asked about the boba, the staff member couldnt even give us an exact price for a boba tea.
If quantity over quality is your thing, this would be the spot to go. Just another "uber eat" take out sushi at best. Wouldnt recommend

Yes, all you people moving here... (who drive like idiots), you, who make it a chore to commute...
This place makes it worth braving a drive across miles of idiots ;-)
so, Get the fvck out of the way (its safer for everyone) and we can all get to Miya faster!

The food was bland. High disappointed. Over priced for the quality. Fried rice was steamed rice and vegetables. The salmon was dry, over cooked, and was referred to as a cat biscuit. Shrimp was over cooked and rubbery, and the sauce tasted like big mac sauce. The sushi was good, thankfully. Won't go back.

The worst thing I can say about Miya Sushi is the all you can eat portions are too large and the lunch selection is smaller than other sushi buffets. I ordered way too much food, and had to pay the surcharge for leftovers.
I would go back for dinner service.

I order 50$ worth of rolls, and it came with very little food. The taste was not bad, but it was very little for 50$. Not recomending for take out. Dinning there also need to be consider. They just randomly do your order, so sometimes they don't make enough what you order and somethimes they just make way over food that you don't order. I have been charge 20$ because of their misktakenly do more than I order. Staff services are good and friendly. I would not come back again! If they bring you way more than you order, return imediately ortherwise you will be charge with a hell lot of money.

This place is disgusting and filthy, overprice, also has lots of flies and found flies in my drink, and also the lady with the round glasses had such a bad attitude, gave the worst customer service ever, she snatched the all you can eat paper out of our hand, and ect.

I use to like this place but the quality of food really went down. We had a roll that we only ate one of but it was horrible and fishy. We told our waitress but they have a charge for each piece you dont eat 1.50 that would've came out to $9 she said well you pick that roll. Lucky us she took it off and put it towards her tip but I couldn't imagine paying for it.

I used to LOVE this place, havnt been in about a year. A recent visit has shown me the quality has definitely gone down. I used to tell everyone it was the best spot for fresh sushi. Even the "wasabi" tasted diluted even though it's basically horseradish but wasn't spicy at all, had no flavor.

I understand that sometimes customers can be difficult but c‘mom! I can’t think of eat raw food like sushi with this kind of bathroom!

A cautionary tale. Don’t let the price at this sushi restaurant seduce you. You will be thoroughly disappointed. All you can eat sushi is never a good idea. Nothing they served tasted good. The soy sauce did not taste like soy. The wasabi did not taste like wasabi. The fish did not taste like fish. I have no idea what they served us. Against my better judgement, I at the food. Subsequently I spent the rest of the night sick (don’t want to get graphic here). Don’t want to discuss the terrible service and terrible bathrooms in detail because there is no reason to be here if the food is this bad. I don’t feel bad about the $60 we spent, but I feel terrible about putting this food in my body.
Just avoid this place at all costs.

A gem!!! Absolutely amazing sushi, hibachi, udon, Thai and more on the sit down style buffet. Selection and quality rivals anywhere in town and it's all you can eat. Truly you cant beat it anywhere. Excellent service from attentive staff. Great place for our kids too. Weird to say but I'm fairly certain I've tried every sushi buffet in Jax and most every high brow spot at town center, riverside, etc. This trumps them all. Seriously go try for yourself and finish things off with the green tea ice cream.

Worst place ever, Cannot share, not even to taste a bite. They called it stealing. The Manager and other employees ran over to our table, just the two of us and told me I couldn't taste my partners food. Whatever you don't finish on your plate, they WILL charge you $1.50 1.00 per sushi item. I won't ever go back there again. Horrible experience.

The food is great. They offer a menu as well as an all you can eat option. There are a few AYCE sushi places in Jax, and while this one costs a little more, the quality was notably higher. I've ordered items off of the regular menu a couple of times as well and been pleased each time.

The food is good and they serve pretty fast. They have vegan options which is a plus. My only feedback is the service, you literally have to stop them if you want something otherwise they don’t neither look at you or ask if you need anything else and the seats look wear out.
