Ember Fort Myers

We love Embers. This was our 4th visit, but we usually order sushi in the bar area. Well, we apparently have been missing out of the full experience! Tonight we had reservations in the dinning room and boy did we enjoy the experience. Grilling the meal was fun and everything was truly delicious. We will definitely be back.

The evening started off with Embers being extremely accommodating to help us with our reservation. From the moment you walk in you feel very welcomed by the front desk. Our sever Max was very polite and ready to jump in and help when needed! He helped us cook our meal and gave us recommendations based off of what we had already ordered for apps. There were other teams members who also came to the side of the table to make sure all of the little side dishes and our Waters never went empty.

The appetizers we're very well prepared. No appetizers were a miss. We had the fried and steamed dumplings, Shishito peppers and Crispy Rice. Highly recommend the Crispy Rice and fried dumplings.

For the main event as pictured is Course C. Which comes with; ribeye, wagyu, brisket, galbi and pork belly. All of the meat served with this course were extremely well prepared and beautiful cuts. The feasts also come with a salad and soup. We had one person at our table who did not eat beef/steak and only enjoyed sushi with the appetizers. They were full and happy with their choices once we left!

To top the evening off the owner was ensuring every table was taken care of. He was an absolute delight. He chatted with us on our way out and personally thanked all of us for dining. A very warm and welcome finish to the night.

If you are looking for somewhere to celebrate for a special occasion, a nice date night, or somewhere with quality food and atmosphere - this is your place.

We really enjoyed the experience. The quality of the dishes were excellent, fresh, flavorful ingredients that truly stood out. Additionally, the restaurant’s atmosphere is warm and inviting, perfect for enjoying a special evening.

However, we had an issue with the service. We ordered two pieces of Toro sashimi but were served two full orders that included caviar—something we did not request or were informed about beforehand. When the dish arrived, I asked the waitress if it included caviar, as it was not what I had ordered. She responded that it was the otoro option available on the menu. When I asked the price, she said it was $20. Upon receiving the bill, we realized we had been served two full orders ($40), which did not align with our original request (2 pcs of Toro sashimi) and resulted unexpected and felt like a forced upsell.

While we understand that premium options come at a higher price, it would have been ideal for the waitress to explain the available options and confirm our preference before proceeding with the order.

Despite this detail, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the delicious food. We definitely recommend this restaurant but advise confirming any details and be completely clear of what you’re ordering.

Such great fun to build friendships and stronger bonds with family. This team building experience is what is needed to bring you closer together. Cooking together takes skills to multi task and assist each other. We had a blast celebrating a birthday. The cooking at the table brought a sense of adventure. The quality of food was on point and much appreciated. The flavors were sensational and can’t wait to return. Our whole family is excited to return.

Amazing restaurant! when we first go their we were scared it wouldn’t be worth it, because Fortmyers is notorious for crappy restaurants that look nice. But this place surpassed our expectations. For the Korean bbq, they brought out twice the amount of food we imagined. It tasted amazing and you build good conversation/relationship with your server and other employees. We mentioned my brother going into the military to a worker who we didn’t know was actually the manager and they surprised us with a free dessert and thanked him for his service! all very kind people ❤️

Multiple servers came by to accomplish this.Rob was our main server and was excellent at his job. Food was great and of good quality. Drinks were done well and tasty. It was a fun place for new years. We brought 8 of us. We had to be put at 2 tables which kinda killed the vibe as we were separated.

The owner cooked for our other table because of staffing issues. They had a wonderful experience.

Our waiter cooked ours and was running around trying to do everything and cleaning cook. Our table never seemed to get very hot and took much longer than the other half of our party that managed to cook all of their food much faster than us. They also had much more than us as well.

We will try it again but as a smaller party of 4 and maybe not such a busy night.

Update: It's been about 5-6 years now, and it's still our favorite restaurant. The Wagyu is the best we've had anywhere, including Las Vegas, Orlando, Ohio, and Tennessee. We love bringing all our out of town guests here to try our favorite place! The staff are always so pleasant too.

Have been here twice since its opening whenever I’m back in Fort Myers with two different experiences. First time, did the K BBQ and had a great time. Second time, lunch in the bar area, also a great time. Depending on what you order it can be a little pricey but the quality of food has always been high. Service is friendly and the vibe of the dining areas are welcoming and energetic. A great spot in Fort Myers for KBBQ or a quick lunch!

Ember Korean Steakhouse exceeded all expectations for my wife’s birthday celebration! The food was phenomenal, and the ambiance was perfect for a special occasion. The place is a bit dark and cold. The service was confusing at first, but the waitress clarified things a bit. The food was good and the portions were good, but it seemed very expensive to me. A ribeye of about 8oz for 49 seemed excessive to me. It was an experience, but I wouldn't go back, especially for those prices. It's about $80 per person.

I have been to Ember 10+ times in the last few years. I think it is fair to say they have retained their status as my absolute favorite restaurant in Southwest Florida.

The staff has never been anything less than incredibly friendly. The food has never been anything less than mouthwatering, begging to have photos taken of it.
The experience has never been anything less than a great time, every time.

Last night, my girlfriend and I celebrated her birthday, almost a year and a half after we had our first date here, at Ember. We had the special Beef Tartare which had more of an Asian-cuisine spin on it, compared to its typical Euro style. Incredible. As well as oysters, seasonal banchan, and their french fries topped with cheese and truffle. We ended off the night with an incredible 20oz special Wagyu Ribeye from Australia. Literally the best steak I have ever had in my life.

Our server, Scott, was great with helping us cook the meal. I was also incredibly glad to finally meet the owner of Ember, Chris, who came over to help out Scott as it did get quite a bit busy (understandably). I was a bit starstruck as, as stated before, this is my favorite restaurant.

We will be back, again and again. Thank you for having us!

Coming from Los Angeles, my family and I have high expectations when it comes to dining out. The swfl area has been disappointing at best. Until we found ember, the food and menu far exceeds expectations aswell as the service the servers and wait staff know exactly when to check on the table and are always on top of the guests needs. The atmosphere is great for all ages and my 5 year old daughter absolutely loves the staff as well as my wife and I. we are greeted as family and with open arms and smiles . Kiki and Patrick are great servers and make the dining experience top notch. The management Team chris and tad always make sure to greet us and make us feel welcome. This is the best restaurant near and far for sushi, kbbq, with a flair and highly recommend for anybody who wants something new or to just have some dam good table fair well done ember.

It was our first time here. Little intimidating at first. Max was our waiter and he explained everything and very patient with is. Answered every question we had . Was able to explain what everything was on menu. It was a really good experience if looking for something different. All except for those manager with the Dodger hats. This is the best KBBQ spot I have ever been to. It being a steakhouse is genius and proving tallow is a game changer. Our server Kiki was amazing and very attentive. The sauce she suggested was amazing and paired with the bulgogi and pork belly amazingly. They also serve soju, thank you so much for having soju. 10/10 we will be back again. They do have an all you can eat menu, you just have to ask. If you love KBBQ you will love this place.

Blown away! Ember has been on our radar for years, but we were apprehensive to try. I don’t eat meat often because I don’t trust the quality at most places and don’t care to prepare it at home. However, after reading countless good reviews, we decided to give it a shot and were so glad that we did!

We tried different drinks, the Wagyu Feast, bao, and bingsu. Wow! Our server was kind and informative. We had our very inquisitive nine year old with us, and she did a great job of answering his many questions. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive, and every team member we came across was helpful and friendly.

My husband and I are hotel managers and were very impressed with the level of service that was provided, but honestly, the food was so good we may have decided to return regardless. Thank you to everyone at Ember. Reality superseded our expectations and we can’t wait to come back. We will absolutely recommend Ember to as many of our hotel guests as we can!

The entire staff and owners should be very proud of themselves. They went through a hurricane named Milton, was back up and operating less than 36 hours with a packed house, and as expected, we still had an amazing time with the all you can eat option.

Okay, I really enjoyed this place. This is a unique place in the area. I'd have given it a full five stars had it not been pricier than what I think it was worth. The thinly sliced brisket was still a little frozen when brought to the table.

My wife (a vegetarian) and I came here tonight for our anniversary dinner. I had heard excellent reviews about this restaurant from many people for many years, and let me tell you, my expectations were exceeded. Our server, Scott, was outstanding and patiently answered our questions from what the various dishes were to how to eat them. After finishing the starter portion of the meal, we had the honor of having Chris cook the scallop entrée. While cooking them, he explained the role of the various elements of the meal and made suggestions for the best way to eat them. I'm not lying when I say that I became a little emotional after trying the scallops. I've had very good scallops from several restaurants and these were the best I've had. To top it off, we had the bread pudding and carrot cake ice cream for dessert. My wife had never had bread pudding before and I am quite sure that she experienced a mouthgasm when she tried it (she confirms this as I write this review.) Thanks to Scott, Chris, and Embers for a unique and unforgettable dining experience!

Very dissapointed. It says on the website, that you can have the japchae as a vegetarian modification. Well we were there today and I was told this is not possible because it is made with beef stock. Also the online bar menu features a vegetable pancake which is also not available anymore. The only veggi option was the Bibimbap and that tasted horrible. It is 2024, please have some vegetarian options or at least don‘t falsely advertise them on your website.

My husband and I came here for dinner on our date night. Everything was excellent! Our server, Dennis, did an amazing job creating a pleasant dining experience for us. He cooked our Korean BBQ to perfection. The owners, Chris and Faye, are also both amazing people! I've never seen an owner roll up their sleeves and work hand in hand with their staff before. It's such an amazing restaurant. We will definitely be back!

Let me start by saying this… the staff here is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! From the front desk to the owner Chris, and our favorite waiter Rob, this is a CLASS ACT!!
If you’re not familiar with Korean BBQ, you are missing out on something SPECIAL at Ember.
We usually order the A5 Kobe steak, which is to die for!! There is something on the menu that is right for EVERYONE and ANY budget!
Since we’ve started going here a couple months ago, we have begun to feel like family and this service and atmosphere is with EVERY PERSON that walks through the door!!
I really want to thank EVERYONE that works here, you guys absolutely ROCK!!

We absolutely loved our dinner at Ember. Everything was outstanding. The service on the phone, the hostess, the wait staff, and the FOOD. I mean, we can't wait to go back.
We did the all you can eat option for 4 adults and 6 kids and everything was amazing. I would highly recommend the pork butt!

Keke took good care of us on my birthday. We tried the Korean Corn Dog which my husband and I both liked. He got the waygu Ribeye and I got the beef bugolgi. It was all so delicious as usual. This is my favorite restaurant of all time and I will always come back here 🥰 The cucumber kimchi is my favorite side followed by the Korean potato salad. I could eat them both all day 🥰

If I could give this place more stars I would. The food is top notch. Just amazing. Service is equally as good. I have a favorite waitress Keke...but all others are great too. Everyone comes by and makes sure we are ok every few minutes and we never go without drinks, korean sides, our next meat selection etc. Seriously my favorite place.

I think the service was amazing at this place. Very nice ambiance. Steak was wow!!! Super tasty !!!! For someone who loves going to k-bbq I love it and everything was perfect in this place! Fyi we came late but the service was nice they did not kick us out and told us to enjoy our time - never showed any attitude from servers. Really good service which is so rare nowadays!!! Coming late arnd 10ish we didnt make it to the unli bbq but it was $100 for 2 people + tax.

Food is well worth the high price, the service is always top notch, and the grill vents are the best we've had at any Korean BBQ place so you never feel greasy after cooking here! The servers will cook the food for you, or teach you if you're not sure how it works. I highly recommend trying this place!

First time I went was for happy hour and it was fabulous. The mule, the sushi, all of it. Second time I went for a work lunch meeting. The service was stellar, but the food wasn't as flavorful. I obviously didn't drink, but I'd still give this place another visit.

Walked into the restaurant music I extremely loud. You would have to yell at each other during your meal. We walked right out. Spouse wanted to try the steak there. Why would you have the music that loud.

Ok Korean BBQ. Way overpriced for what is offered. Prices are 30-50% above what other Korean places charge and the quality of the regular meats is not proportionally better. Did not try their indovidual steak offerings. This review is based on their marinated feasts at a price of $119 per couple.

It was just ok maybe we didn't know what to order exactly but all the sides are served cold wich is not my favorite. The beef was really good but not for the price point the overall experience is nice but for ME it's one of those things you only do once!! Servers were very nice and it was a pleasant experience!

We have been going to Ember since they first opened. If you’re looking for a cool atmosphere, excellent customer serve and off the chart unique cuisine then Ember is the place! This is a local family owned restaurant with Chris the owner always in house making sure your experience is perfect!

I don't know where to start. I love to go out and eat. I love good food but I am more impressed with the environment and experiences. This was one of the best dining experiences of my life all on a random whim and with amazing food. The restaurant has a great vibe, the food is of the freshest quality and the staff was over the top amazing. Our server Rob was fantastic and very helpful. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner Chris who showed us some tricks of the grill. I personally was thrilled to find they had Kaluga Caviar because there was no mentioned online but Caviar is a given for me when available. If you like oysters, Poseidon's Snack is definitely a worth a try. I give this place 5 stars on everything and will be back again and again. Thank you Chris for the excellent service!

We thoroughly enjoyed it! Chicken bulgogi cooked to perfection while the non-stop sides are a treat always. Cucumber n Radish Kimchi here are best for the people who prefer spicy. Baek Kimchi wasn’t available but was told they had it as a special a while back. Overall great customer service.

Keke was our waitress and she was amazing! I felt like we were friends by the time we left, but also her cooking skills are ON POINT! I can't say enough good things about her!
All of the food and drinks were superb and very high quality... A rare gem to be found in Florida. Can't go wrong. I loved that we're given the option to cook ourselves, with help, or can have it done for you in front of you. Awesome establishment, can't wait to be back!

From the service, atmosphere to each and every bite of the food, what a phenomenal dining experience! Thank you to Dennis, Lilly and company; the team of servers were on point and were always available and ready for anything. Their knowledge of the menus and their friendly disposition were nothing short of spectacular (truly appreciated coming from a former server/bartender).
We started with the La Flama Blanco which was perfectly balanced drink then had the edamame, which was savory and amazing (that sauce!!!). Next, the main feast, each of the meats were perfectly marinated with a sweet and savory sauce, the accompaniments were all unique and so tasty! Lastly, it was my birthday and we had an apricot vanilla ice cream, made in house, so delicious! Truly a wonderful experience, we will most certainly be back!

Rob was our server he was excellent. It was our first time visiting the restaurant and he explained the menu along with the specials. Once our food arrived Tori cooked it for us, because it was our first time and we did not know how. She was lovely, had great recommendations and kept a good conversation. We got feast A and was perfect if not to much food for two people, but delicious. Would recommend this restaurant if you have not tried it.

My boyfriend and I recently celebrated my 20th birthday at Ember, and it was such an amazing experience! Our server was very helpful as it was my first time there. Him and the owner personally checked on us make sure that we were doing okay and enjoying our meal. The resturant was very classy yet had a great family-friendly atmosphere. Cooking our own meat was fun, and the staff made sure we were always taken care of. The food was outstanding, and we've been telling everyone to go. Can't wait to return!

This place is AMAZING. The food, service, everything was so great we had to take my parents less than a week after our first visit. It is pricey but completely and totally worth the cost. I believe Ember is the best restaurant in SWFL, hands down. Shout out to Rob, who was our server on both visits and who is a total stand out as far as service goes.

Man o man where to even begin. First if you're coming here for the food it is fantastic! But We sat there for 20 minutes without being greeted when finally greeted we put in all our food order and came out very quickly, but here's the thing whenyou're completly new at doing this and requested help to get started and the service staff runs off and greets the frqent flyer table 2 minutes after they sat down says alot. The staff on the floor also agreed with us when we wanted to keep out grill since we just got a new one placed down. We ordered new meats weve never cooked before and basically were guessing on which was whicj and how long it needed to be cooked. My husband's beer glass went completly empty for 75% of the night and when we were ready to leave they finally asked for a new one. So if you plan on coming here you better know what you're doing or you'll be completly on your own. Very disappointed but food was very good. (Since we barely knew what we were doing)

We went as a party of 5 before a show at Barbara B Mann Performing Arts Center. The whole staff was attentive and professional. A couple of our diners had never had Korean BBQ and our waitress was patient and explained many of the menu options. They made sure we had everything we needed and were out in plenty of time to make the show. Another staff member even came by and cooked our orders for us at the table! Everything was delicious. I highly recommend the pork belly bao and the sushi. Cold Sake bottle was nice as well!

I ordered the salmon bowl. Amazing. Was not sure what to drink they made me a specialty martini. Yum yum love eating at bar, bar menu is so unique and everything is delicious. My favorite for sushi. The none bar area is cook your own Korean tables. That is good but so much meat.. Drinks are strong, it’s a bit loud inside. Overall a nice place to go..

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. Both times were for special occasions. I made reservations right online. Easy. We celebrated my daughter's birthday. She loved it! You can cook yourself, but we had the server cook for us.
Both times, we got the combo meals. We got the Butcher's Feast C and subituted out the pork belly for the beef bulgogi for $5 more... so worth it. So much good favorable food you aren't going away hungry. We didn't order an appetizer the second time. We learned from our mistakes.
But we did save room for desert! The shaved ice called Bingsu is so good!

We went for dinner. The food was good. The only thing we didn't like was we were told there was a 20 minute wait and we'd have to wait in the bar. Then when we were seated we noticed several empty tables and our waitress said it was a slow night. Not sure but it seemed like they were promoting drinking before dinner. We weren't there to hang out at the bar and drink. Also some of the music was not appropriate for the children that were there (rap/Eminem). Has a big city vibe, not so much wholesome. Food was good so we'd probably order take out next time.

I questioned on whether or not I should leave this post but in the hopes of helping others, I'm going to. I dined at this establishment on Tuesday night before going into work for a meeting. I sat in the bar area, being that I was a single diner. The waiter took my order and everything was fine. The food was ok and normally, I would not leave a one star review for food. I paid my bill and left. Again, everything was fine. However, I was checking my bank account the next day and realized they had charged me a 15 dollar tip, instead of the 7 on 33 that I had left originally. I quickly made a dispute with my bank, which is pending, and went in to the restaurant to see what happened. Thankfully I kept the receipt. I met with one of the assistant managers and told them what happened. While they said they could not refund me my card....they offered me a gift card or the difference in cash. I declined and said I was waiting on my bank to get back to me.

When I asked about the fraudulent tip charge, they could not give me a real answer. I am not sure how 40.02 turned into 48.02 without someone possibly forging an 8. Servers always enter the total, regardless of what tip was left. But it should always be the correct total. I know this because I was a server at one time.

Just want people to be aware.

Wonderful experience!! Honestly, Fort Myers needs more places like this one. From the moment we walked in we loved the atmosphere. Everyone was super welcoming and service was well above and beyond. Needless to say, the food was absolutely amazing. We tried many different Korean appetizers and some sushi rolls, and we could not have been any more pleased with all of it. Clearly, the owner(s) of this beautiful restaurant know what they’re doing!
We absolutely loved this place and our experience and cannot wait to come back.

To preface this review, I just want to say that this used to be my go to place for incredible Korean food. My friends and I would go every few months for the past 5 years even if the prices are somewhat high. We figured it was worth it for the quality. But the past couple of times we’ve been, the meat quality is obviously lower and the appetizers seem much smaller. I don’t know if it’s a different vendor, but the brisket for instance used to come rolled up in very thinly sliced pieces. It would melt in your mouth, it was so tender! Now it comes in flat, thicker pieces and tastes flavorless and chewy. The tteokbokki only has a few pieces of rice cake which is crazy for something that could be made with cheap ingredients but is sold for $18 ($20 with cheese!!). Again, we would be willing to pay more if the quality is up to par, but why pay that much when you can get the same quality from another local Korean restaurant. I’d rather just get my own brisket from Leaf Asian Market and make it at home, but I really hope for nostalgia’s sake that they improve their food.

We ordered and thoroughly enjoyed Feast A, ala carte Prawns, Edamame, the salad/soup/banchan, Bingsu, Soju and beer (of course!), and Makgeolli. Such a unique meal experience. Service was fantastic (thanks Miranda!). I am Celiac and Miranda was very knowledgeable about what I could have and not. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We went early evening on a Monday so it wasn’t too crowded. Kiki, our server, was polite and fun. She made sure we knew how to navigate all the options, side dishes, and most especially how to use the grill in a way that took into consideration the differences of all the different meat varieties. Because of her we didn’t accidentally miscook or over cook any of our meal. She was attentive throughout and between her and her assistants we wanted and waited for nothing.

As for the food it was all delicious. Literally zero complaints about anything other than maybe could have used a bit of oil too cook the leaner meats but that’s only cause I was bad at using the grill 🤣

In this economy one of the things I always pay attention to is at the end of it all did I feel like I got my moneys worth, and at 42 dollars for the all you can eat KBBQ option my stomach and my wallet were both left happy

Came on Valentine’s Day and it was busy busy. We were sat within 15 minutes of our reservation time which was better than I expected. The service was amazing, we had our main server plus several others who walk around and just make sure you have everything you need. All of the meats were so good! The dessert though! The bread pudding and raspberry ice cream were so tasty! Love this place for a special occasion as it is pricey!
