First time and we were both impressed. The food is excellent and the place works. You can talk without excessive noise level, which I would say was energetic. Turnover is pretty fast and we left full! The menu is huge. As a suggestion I think maybe 3 set menus would work great to showboat a wide range and make ordering easier. And for the gourmet lover maybe a chefs set menu? On the negative side. One of our group is a non drinker. Have some mocktails of alcohol free beers on your list please. Look forward to next time and I think we will take some 0% beer just in case.

When you First look at the price you don't realize. Why is the average price per person like $30 until you realize you're going to need four to five of these tapas plates in order for you to feel full.
The sushi rolls are going to have to be a must because I don't know how else you're going to get fill up.
But beware, just because it's on the sushi roll, section doesn't mean it's a rice roll. Read the description.
The food was delicious but the portions were super small. Like 1/3 of my stuffed squash flowers was empty and got no filling...
The menu is VERY limited!
Would I go again alone? No.
But I'd bring someone visiting if they wanted a nice ambience dinner, with unique-ish food.

I have to say sushi chef Amelia has made our evening with her creativity. We use to have sushi chefs that fed us on their creativity but has left. Tonight we were so amazed by her talent that we would be back and tell her to do her magic and feed us on her originality. We had amazing dishes as shown and would DEFINITELY say "go,enjoy and pace yourself" our server Tatem was also so kind and awesome. And Thaun, thank you for the kimchi,it was good you passed,lmao...

Server Tatum and Chef Amelia were amazing. We ordered the custom Omakase from Chef Amelia and it was well worth it. We will definitely come back and explore more of the menu. We love the atmosphere inside and the atmosphere outside within this Fort Lauderdale up-and-coming art district.

I was straight up disappointed with this place. The food was mediocre at best. I had the squash blossom with crab. It’s was basically crab Rangoon stuffing into a squash blossom and it was disappointing. Part of the reason a person likes a crab Rangoon was the crispy outer shell. This dish needed that.

I had the beef tartare. That was not good. The toast that it was serviced on was good. But I felt a thinner crisper toast would have been a nicer contrast with the beef tartare. It also needed some finishing salt.

I also had the kimchi fried also disappointing. The fried rice was made with short grain which made it a little too pasty for my taste. And the pork check didn’t add anything to the dish.

I’m hoping to try this place again and hopefully up my rating.

Overall, overpriced for the ambiance and food, and incredibly tacky to charge for water at this price point. Not once have I ever been charged for tap water at a restaurant in Fort Lauderdale.

So delicious! Amzing experience. From the ginger salad and spicy edemame to the pork belly and yakisoba no dishes disappoint. Staff is so friendly and answered all our questions. Tammy and Sammy took great care of us and kept the sake flowing highly recommend the flights. Can't wait to come back and try more of their menu options.

This was my first experience and have been wanting to try this place for a while. I walked in solo and was kindly greeted by Mark. He was involved, well versed and informative about the menu, and felt so comfortable with him. The food was great, ambience was amazing especially with the big door open with this beautiful weather. My Fiancé and I have been coming since they opened and this is one of the few spots in Fort Lauderdale that maintain their consistency. According to the pictures & Google reviews I was excited to try this place out for the first time. Sadly I was extremely disappointed.

I understood that tapas was the style BUT what came to our table was an utter joke.
For example: Ordered Seaford and got 2% IF THAT over a bed of cucumbers, mushrooms that were overcooked and could literally fit in the palm of my tiny hands & that's just getting me started.

For what this place is charging per plate I do not at all think the experience was worth going. I think they are trying to be a trendy place but at the end of the day the food always brings people back and this was just a miss!

The hidden gem in FLL. This was an impromptu dinner and it was the best service we've had in South Florida - attentive and exact, not disruptive. The vibe is classic modern and rivals the best in area - setting the standard for FLL's art district. But the true stars were the small plates, like the short rib dumplings, squash blossom crab rangoons, and the wagyu tartare (on the best brioche!). Sushi wasn't on our mind tonight but we'll definitely be back 11/10

We ordered like 10 things and I kid you not every single one of them was amazing and that was the best waygu I’ve ever had. Ever! So so good. The miso sea bass, Brussels, Pork belly, the tuna crispy rice all of it was amazing. The staff was wonderful as well and super friendly.

AMAZING doesn’t justify this place. I’ll start with Tatem our server. She was spot on! Knew every single item on the menu and could probably recite it in her sleep! Made the best recommendations, very attentive and makes the experience enjoyable. As for the food… where do I begin??? No really .. where do I begin? My friend and I are foodies and aren’t easily impressed. The Krispy rice with tuna was delicious, the grilled mushrooms are out of this world. The wagyu tataki was yummmmmm as expected. We ordered the sheso good roll.. just amazing, very light on the taste, perfect amount of mango as some places just over do it, the cucumber kept it light and the cilantro just brought it home! We got the special sashimi bowl that had Toro, salmon, Wahoo, blue fin delicious
But I have to stop and give credit to the Salmon and the Wahoo.. makes you go yahooo lol seriously …. Get it! The salmon is the winner of the evening… an amazing buttery, soft, fresh flavor. Just wow.

Great Ambience, love the house music, the service was exceptional from the moment I walked in. Tatum greeted me and offered me a drink as soon as I walked in the door (I was waiting in their seating area to meet someone) and she made me a delicious match MOCKtail! Then we had Sammy as our waitress. She was super knowledgeable on the menu offering extensive recommendations. We had the beef tartare (garlic aioli - yummy), short rib tacos (juicy!!), everything bagel roll (savory) and the pork belly (sweet and juicy). Plus the miso soup was delicious. 10/10 would recommend and will be back!!!

Delicious nigiri sushi! Just enough rice and the fish is very fresh! 5 piece nigiri set is amazing (salmon, blue fin tuna, shrimp, grouper and albacore. I am a sushi lover and this place is definitely worth it! Couldn’t take full pictures because the food was disappearing 😁 We also ordered miso hungry sushi roll wrapped in cucumber, highly recommend! Sorry, my pictures are not of the best quality this time. Service was great, very friendly and attentive stuff. We were served very quickly and the server explained everything to us. Great place!

MISO exceeded all my expectations! The food was unbelievable—every dish was a treat for the senses. The fish was incredibly fresh and beautifully presented. It's also a fantastic spot for sake flights, with a great selection to explore. My personal favorites were the tuna tartare and the okonomiyaki tots; both were absolutely delicious. Plus, they validate parking, which is a nice bonus. If you're looking for a place with exceptional food and a great atmosphere, MISO is a must-visit!

As a Chef I find it hard to find good food sometimes. From the start we were greeted with warm faces and good service. Our server Tammy made us feel at home, and answered every question kindly. The menu was well written and made it so hard to pick what to eat. I left so happy today. Every dollar was worth it. Every dish was well balanced and you can taste the passion in every bite. Since moving to Flagler Village in Fort Lauderdale Miso has become my very favorite spot to show all my friends and family. I have yet to find a place I like as much as Miso when it comes to good Japanese food. Firstly I LOVE that it’s tapas style so it’s always great to share with people. Secondly the menu always has new and exciting things added to it. You can tell the owner is very involved and has a passion for what they do. It’s great for date night or celebrating or just casual night. I live close by so I go at least once a month. I haven’t had a single dish I didn’t like. Every time I show someone this place it becomes their favorite as well.

Phemomenal food, the friendliest staff and fantastic environment. The tofu skins and dumplings are outstanding, bursting with flavor and perfectly cooked. My husband and I were disappointed with the food given its price. While everything was decent, nothing stood out as exceptional. We would prefer spending $50 on a memorable meal rather than $50 on two average tapas dishes. Moreover, the food took an unexpectedly long time to arrive, despite there being only one other couple dining. However, it's worth noting that the service we received was excellent.

Really enjoyed the meal and experience here.

Raw fish courses were solid. The ceviche was well done and flavored. One of the highlights. The yellowtail/jalapeno dish, a ubiquitous item on Japanese menus, was one of the best I've had at any restaurant. Nigiri was technically correct and it's understandable that the selection isn't as wide as specialized sushi restaurants - this is billed accurate as "Japanese tapas"

The crab Rangoon blossoms were another. Also a nice take on (to my knowledge) a traditionally Italian dish.

I found the menu to be creative and well executed. We had several dishes and not all were to my taste. But this is a subjective opinion kf personal preference.

I think there was enough creativity and proper execution to warrant a recommendation and I will certainly return to see what else they come up with.

Vibe and ambience are great. Suitable for a date, dinner out with friends etc.

Easy to recommend this spot as it ticked off so many boxes.

Wow this place rips. The decor is awesome, the service was fast, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, food was tasty and VERY reasonably priced for the quality and presentation. $100 for a kick a$$ dinner for two, i will be back!

I would not come back. I feel what I received for what i spent, the math was not mathing.

Total bill with tip was $50.
$15 for a sushi roll with 5 pieces of sushi
$4 for an 8 oz bottle of diet coke
$22 for 4 oz seabass with nothing else accompanying it.

I was expecting with these prices and in this location, that there would be a lot more food.

Last night was not our first experience at Miso but it was certainly one of the most memorable and proves what a unique find it truly is. There were 4 of us dining for a friend's birthday. Thuan and I spoke in advance to plan the evening, which was basically bring us the best of everything, Chef's choice.

Each plate was better than the one before. We enjoyed the toro on crispy rice, crab rangoon filled squash blossoms, sea bass crudo, pork belly with crispy brussels sprouts and a cornbread type side, tuna 3 ways, the most delicious surf and turf plate with Waygu steak and seared scallops, uni pasta with truffle and 2 wonderful desserts.

Yes, it was a total feast! But the pacing was masterful and it didn't feel like food overload. All of the food was so fresh and beautifully presented. We all had our favorites but the standouts were the tuna, pork belly and the Waygu steak.

The service was attentive yet unobtrusive. Jordan and Tatum took excellent care of us.

Our friends were blown away, having never been there before and declared this the best meal of 2024!

Everything we ate was tasty . It’s our 3rd time dining at Miso. The food is very good and service very attentive. If the quality of food remains the same , in a few years reservation will be hard to come by.

Awesome place in the up and coming area of FLL. They really care about the quality of seafood they are serving and the staff is happy to engage and tell you about specials. They have noodles/meat for the non-fish people. Highly recommend checking it out! I definitely did not regret and will be coming to see Sammie again!!

Have been here five times now and it is just as good every time. Great quality fish, great variety on the menu and excellent service. Also a phenomenal value compared to other sushi or Japanese top of restaurants. This is a hidden gem, and will not stay that way for long.

This places is a must! We have been about 5 times and it is definitely our go to spot. Our server this time was mark and he was amazing, as were all the servers we have had in the past. Food has been top tier every time! We can’t wait to come back again.

I am flabbergasted I was lucky to find reservations on a Friday night.
Because this place should be the kind of place you should make reservations days in advance.
If you check my reviews, I simply do not waste my precious time unless it’s terrible or it’s worth your time and money.
This place is absolutely a worth an hour drive kind of place. I am sure this will be an oh my God, I have to make reservations in advance kind of place. If you like Izakaya style Japanese fusion with a modern take, you will not be disappointed or dissatisfied. I guarantee it. As much as I will hate in the future to not be able to just come in at the last minute. I simply have to take the time and promote this restaurant. I am an all over the world kind of foodie that loves all cuisines from French to Russian to Chinese and my foodie heart tells me I need to do my best to promote this place.

Serivice is impeccable. Outstanding doesn’t do it justice. Vivian was the perfect balance between attentive and not intrusive. Her recommendations on point.

I knows some of you may be wondering if is this real post or is she a plant. Check my profile and reviews. You will see my traveling foodie self is real. And as a traveling foodie, I am ecstatic I found a tapas style/Izakaya of this quality in my backyard.

Been here twice now, I loooove getting to share a bunch of small plates with my dad. The drinks are delicious, their food is fresh and super tasty, and the dining area is so pretty. The servers and waitstaff are all so friendly and prompt, it really is such a lovely spot to share food with friends, family, or a date.
*also!! If you can’t have dairy, which I have to limit it severely, I believe most of their menu doesn’t have it, so also a huge plus. 😏

This place is absolutely amazing. As a vegetarian it was super easy to customize dishes I was able to get the okonomiyaki tots without the bonito flakes (sub tempura) and the veggie ramen with an egg. Both dishes were super tasty and filling. The staff was really friendly and great too!

My official go to sushi spot - I ordered the hi-hello, crispy rice toro, hamachi crudo, the squash blossom crab rangoon  and the uni pasta - EVERYTHING was amazing, cooked to perfection and left you wanting more. Hard to match this quality of food, sushi AND creativity in each dish. The owner Thuan is kind to each table and the service was impeccable as well. Highly recommend!

I dined at Miso tonight, I was instantly greeted by a fabulous woman, Chelsea, then had the pleasure to speak with the Sushi Chef Jason, who was filling me in on some of the great menu choices. My waitress Lexi was sweet and super attentive. I wanted everything on the menu but ended up with the Everything Bagel Roll, Shortrib Dumplings, and my absolute favorite the Sqaush Blossom Crab Rangoon! Each bite was an explosion of flavor... I can't wait to go back and try more.

Edited on 1/4/2024: Back for dinner with a group, it was definitely busy with a wait at the beginning, but soon after, we ordered everything that came out perfect timing. All dishes were super tasty and fresh!

We ordered a variety of items which were all exceptional! The wings - I truly have not enough words in my vocabulary to describe them. The fired rice, short ribs with glass noodles, ramen and ALL of the sushi was tremendously delicious. I don't come to Ft. Lauderdale often but when I come back... to be continued.

Finally. I found a restaurant where not only the staff cares but the food is phenomenal. You can taste how fresh and clean the fish is. Thuan the owner couldn’t be more inviting and I really felt like family by the time I left. 10 out of 10 highly recommend. Get lost in the menu try different things. Everything is Amazing!

The food here is incredible. Definitely tapas size and very tasty. The service is okay. I wasn't greeted upon entry and stood at the host station before someone walked over. I mentioned I had a reservation but apparently the only seating available was at the bar. 30 minutes into my experience all the empty tables remained empty despite the insistence that they had so many big parties they were anticipating. That was the only unpleasant part of my experience. It seems they cater to a certain crowd more than others.

The dinner and service was 10/10! Note: don’t pay for parking! The restaurant takes care of it at the host stand. We were served by Tatum and Chelsea and they were amazing. We got the Miso Fresh cocktail, tuna crisp toro, belly tasting, brisket tacos and dumplings, wagyu steak, AND bao buns - all excellent! Total was about $170 for everything to reference. Highly recommend and we’ll be back!

Drove around saw this cute spot,coming from NYC I am always looking fir small quaint restaurants. Excellent service,10 across for the food. We just had a wonderful first experience at MISO and highly recommend it. Our server, Chelsea, and the rest of the staff were attentive and kind.

I had the crispy brussels sprouts, the furikake chips, and the vegetable champon. My partner had the hamachi crudo, toro crispy rice, and the chef’s sushi tasting. We recommend the crudo and the sprouts above all the others. I’ll be making every effort to recreate the sprouts over the next few weeks.

They were very considerate of my partner’s food allergies.

This is a great new spot. I hope everyone will give them their business!

We ordered half the menu - several sushi rolls, sashimi, veggie dishes, a few meat dishes, and yakisoba. Everything was super flavorful and had a fun spin on traditional rolls. First time eating here but definitely won’t be the last! We ordered a wide variety of dishes to share (perfect size for three of us to get a few bites of each delicious dish) but still have so much more of the menu to explore. Highlights were the ceviche, the Hi Hello roll, and the sea bass. Also enjoyed the furikake chips, Brussels sprouts, and short rib noodles.
Service was fantastic.
The only negative is how small the font is on the menu. Really difficult to read.
Prices were in line with the quality. Looking forward to our next visit sometime soon!

So excited to have found this gem in Ft. Lauderdale! I absolutely loved everything about Miso! It is a small boutique-style venue with bougee decor, yet it still has a warm and welcoming feel. And it was truly welcoming! Our server was incredible, so attentive. But it was not just our server, the actual chef ( I think his name is Thuan?? I am awful with names) actually came over to our table to introduce himself and make sure we were enjoying his delicious creations.
