We were the only customers for lunch on a very hot Sunday, also low season. The Chinese food we ordered was hit and miss. Scallion pancakes and Peking duck bao' were really good. The rest of our dishes not so much. The "dimsum" were awful, seemed to be cheap frozen food.
Perhaps the grilled dishes etc are better along with the cocktails.

Service was good, and non-alcoholic drinks were refilled without being asked so points for that.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for few years now, always in person and it’s never been a disappointment. Getting takeout from here not as good. Ordered strip habachi (2 orders) and added chicken for reasonable $2-$3. Part that was disappointing was for ordering the steak, annd just adding chicken, only get 5 chunks of steak and mostly all chicken also didn’t give or soups or sauces to DoorDash driver. I called restaurant and they were nice said I can pick it up but I ordered delivery for a reason. Overall I’d say not terrible place at all just go in person for best experience don’t suggest takeout.

Meh. Food is ok. Show is subpar. Wish we had picked a different place for our last dinner on vacation, however the atmosphere is good. I asked for a VODKA Martini. A few minutes later, the waiter asked me what's in that!? Did I want a Cosmo. I thought it was a joke. When I realized it wasn't, I literally explained the whole drink and asked for a lemon zest. Glad I didn't ask for a Gin Martini; stirred not shaken.

We just had an amazing dinner experience which was far more than expected!
We were greeted personally by Jane, a beautiful Asian Lady that took care of our drinks and even sat down with us for a while.
Our dinner was taken care by Eddie, a handsome and sweet young guy who went above and beyond to make sure that we will enjoy a good dinner.
Mind you; we are a couple of Senior Citizens that rarely go out; so when we do, we expect to feel the good experience worth not only money wise but also good wise.
We got both from Red Door.
We will for sure come back.
Thank you!

Honestly I felt like I was in the Squid Game while I was here. I had to dodge all of the utensils that my chef used and accidentally threw when he messed up his tricks. The food was tender especially my filet it tasted pretty good and I’m not sure if they cooked my steak to the right temperature, and the chef dropped his spatula on the ground and proceeded to use it which gave it a zesty taste. Later on during our reservation we were moved so that way people could experience the same survival instincts we went through.

The food and service was amazing.
The food is well portioned (you will have leftovers), the staff is friendly, courteous and accommodating. We loved it and have dine 3x since our initial visit.
We sat inside, the seating was comfortable and our server was nice as well!
See you all again!

Flew in for the day to keep my flight status. A dear friend picked me up at the airport to hang out for the day. We landed at Red Door for Happy Hour. Nothing like a Saturday Happy Hour menu till 7:00 and the food was great. We had Edamame, Gyoza Dumplings, Spring Rolls, Filet Mignon Tacos, Satay Chicken, 6 pc Sashmi and pizza with Spicy tuna, avocado, cream cheese, caviar. Everything was delicious and Eduardo tool great care of us. Loved the decor and the option of sitting at a table or at a hibachi grill. They have both inside and inside seating. Great atmosphere and would visit again.

Food was good. Service wasn’t great on multiple fronts. We called ahead to book a reservation only to find it wasn’t granted. Food were forgotten, during appetizers and meal. We were rushed out after eating. Would not go back, especially at that price point.

Last night I celebrated a friend's birthday at Red Door There were a total of 10 people in our party. When we received our food I ordered chicken and salmon was extremely small and flattened out other people had steak the steak and chicken portions were very small and it took a long time for the chef to add vegetables to my plate he placed the chicken and salmon on my plate first and I had to wait 15 minutes to receive the zucchini and broccoli portion, that was really irritating I also had to wait another 15-20 minutes to receive a bowl of white rice from the kitchen. He remembered that I was supposed to receive the rice but didn't bother to let anyone in the kitchen know this. I had to flag down a food runner to let them know I was due a bowl of rice so I can eat everything together with my meal! My dinner total was $36.00 for the ,combo plate. For the amount of money that you pay for food they need to serve better portions. My total with iced tea plus drink including 18% gratuities was $54
FYI you're better off going to an all you can eat sushi buffet restaurant that gives you huge portions like Fuji Mura in Coral Springs all you can eat or please try Ko u Y o u in Margate which is another all you can eat sushi buffet fantastic. Springs, *** Benihana's always gets a high rating from me they give their clients large portions.

Not my favorite of my restaurant experiences around Las Olas. We ordered the hibachi diet with filet mignon and chicken. Unfortunately, they charge extra for filet mignon but what they served was definitely not filet mignon. We did mention this to the kitchen staff and they apologized and brought an extra serving of chicken to compensate for the false advertising. This was a decent gesture, but we feel it’s bad faith to be dishonest on a menu and charge extra. At this point in our lives, I think most people just want to be treated well, fairly and honestly with consideration and respect. So, this left us feeling a bit disheartened with Red Door. We also ordered some tea later and were served just hot water. Staff was kind when we approached them with these comments, and we appreciated that. Food was edible but not the quality that Las Olas deserves.

**Worst Hibachi Experience Ever**
I’m genuinely shocked by how terrible my experience was at this hibachi restaurant. From start to finish, it was a complete disaster. Our server barely acknowledged us, acting like we were a burden rather than paying customers. The lack of communication was just the start.
The chef at our table clearly couldn’t be bothered to put in any effort. No jokes, no tricks, no show—just a rushed, soulless cooking process that was over in what felt like 10 minutes. It was so fast that we barely had time to enjoy anything, and we were left sitting there wondering what just happened.
The worst part? Watching the table next to us. Their chef started *before* ours and took the time to actually engage with the diners, putting on a full, entertaining show—the kind you expect when you go to a hibachi place. Meanwhile, we were done eating and out the door while they were still in the middle of their meal!
I’ve never felt so ripped off and disrespected at a restaurant. It’s clear they couldn’t care less about delivering a consistent experience to all customers. If you’re thinking about going here for a fun night out, don’t. Spend your money somewhere that actually values your business and delivers what they promise.

**Disappointing Experience**
I was really looking forward to an entertaining hibachi dinner, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Our server barely interacted with us, making the whole dining experience feel rushed and impersonal. The chef at our table didn't put on any of the fun hibachi show that you usually expect—no tricks, no jokes, just straight cooking, and we were done in what felt like 20 minutes.
What made it even worse was watching the chef at the table next to us. Their shift started before ours, but they took their time and put on an amazing show, complete with all the usual hibachi flair. It was disappointing to see other guests getting the full experience while we were left feeling like an afterthought.
I don't usually write reviews, but I left feeling really disappointed and unsatisfied with what should have been a fun and memorable evening. If you're looking for the full hibachi experience, you might want to look elsewhere.

The atmosphere is very cool. Right off the bat, we were pretty excited. Waiting at our table for 15 minutes to see if they could fill it, not so fun. Then waiting longer for everyone else to order and catch up, not so fun. Show was sup par for the $160 it costs to feed 2 people. The Filet and Chicken was chewy. Pretty much was all downhill from there. Worst part, there was less than 20 people in the restaurant. Sorry, not gonna see us again.

Service was the best feature of their lunch. Ordered a variety of things but only the chicken wings and General Tso Chicken were made to perfection. The crispy rice w/tuna, shu mai, and soup dumplings all underwhelmed based on other SFL restaurants. The chicken in the sauteed cashew nut entree had a weird texture and did not taste good. We didn't try the anything from the hibachi and don't think we'll return to give it a try.

We had a great experience at the Red Door Asian Bistro. It is a Hibachi grill on Las Olas a terrific location. O was expecting tourist food. But instead it was all very fresh and prepared expertly by Kristin who was as entertaining as talented in creating a great Hibachi experience for our family.
There were a couple of little pricing surprises with upchagres for fried rice and a service fee on top of the 23% gratuity included. Which is somewhat reasonable for the level of service as the staff was very attentive and kept my drinks full. Honestly in a very touristy area like Las Olas should have been expected. It was the only flaw in what was otherwise a fantastic experience.

We just had a great meal and service at Red Door. Visiting from Boston and chose the restaurant because there was a large outdoor space. We ended up sitting inside at the table closest to the open doors because the attentive concierge suggested it. Our waitress was Britany … a young woman with a great smile and conversation. Upbeat and knowlegible about the food and drink options, we highly recommend this restaurant/bistro. We wanted light fare and ordered 3 items from the hand made sushi rolls. Excellent! Thank you Ms Britany, for making us feel welcomed and for your excellent service.

I visited Red Door yesterday for their happy hour sushi, but the experience turned out to be a nightmare. 4 hours after eating, I experienced extreme food poisoning, leading to a night filled with continuous vomiting and excruciating stomach pain. The symptoms were so severe that I almost ended up in the ER.
The quality of the food and the hygiene standards at this restaurant are highly questionable, and I strongly advise against dining here. The health risks far outweigh any potential enjoyment from the happy hour deals. It's crucial for establishments like this to prioritize food safety and customer well-being over profits.

1st, the plates are outside on the tables all day, get full of dust and they serve you food on this dust.
2. No hand papers in the toilets, you need to touch the filthy handles to get out of restrooms.
3. The food, if I could rate under 1 star ,I would.
4.the server was very nice.
5. The music has nothing to do with a far east restaurant.

The service was subpar; they served water with half-melted ice. I opted for a bottle instead, disappointed by the outset. Despite the empty venue, I persevered. The sushi was passable, but the inattentive server exacerbated the experience. Upon receiving the bill, I noticed an 18% gratuity added AFTER the server charged my card, unusual for a party of two. Unlikely to revisit this establishment.

Went here because the other place we were going to go was too busy. They have tables for both hibachi and regular menu items. We sat at the hibachi and really enjoyed the chef that cooked for us. She was entertaining, personable, and did a really nice job preparing our food. We had filet and shrimp, chicken and shrimp, and shrimp dinners. All of them tasted really good and the chef did not drown the food with soy sauce as some other hibachi places do. It was nice to go into a restaurant where you could actually hear yourself talk because music wasn't so loud like other places in Fort Lauderdale. One note of caution is they charged us a gratuity for five people, not sure if that is customary and not a big deal as I would have tipped anyhow but wasn't told there was a gratuity on the bill.

I just went to Red Door for the first time for their Happy Hour just ordered a few appetizers. The sushi was good but the customer service was terrible! They over charged me for a martini and refused to adjust the bill! The miscommunication happened when one of their named Alexis quoted me the wrong price. Instead of a Happy Hour drink that was supposed to be $10 ended up costing me $17! He told the bartender that I wanted Tito’s which I never requested. When I spoke to the manager she said that she would adjust it but didn’t! An additional 18% gratuity was also added automatically. I normally tip 25% but because I was lied to by management I would’ve left a tip. I would never go back to an establishment that tricks their customers! Very bad experience!

It was Hubs 60th birthday and I really wanted to plan a special dinner for him and our friends. I googled "hibachi near me" and Red Door Asian Bistro came up first. I read the reviews and decided this is where we will go. I made reservations online a week ahead. We arrived and hung out at the bar while the rest of our friends arrived. We were seated and Nicole was our server, and she was great. It was a flawless dinner birthday party. The hibachi show was fun. The food was better than I expected. A good time was had by all.
UPDATE: Went back last night to sit at a regular table to have dinner to celebrate Hubs birthday (belated) with friends. I had the sushi which was good/ok. I definitely had better. I actually was surprised that it was 7/10. Service was great. The others liked their food (general tso chicken, drunken salmon and peking duck)

The Manager is SO bad, that the 5 star food made by great Hibachi Chef Crystal AND 5 star service by Nicole, still drops to 1 star! I booked a birthday party for my only son's 21st birthday. I made the reservation 6 weeks prior AND was given prices and choices IN WRITING! I confirmed the reservation several times including 4 days before the date. Less than 24 hours before the party, I was told by server that "they" changed policy to not have lunch prices. I asked to have Michael the manager call me. I said I deserved what was promised. This was "Bait and Switch." Michael, the Manager, NOT only did not call me, BUT, when we came in the next day (too late to change plans,) Michael did not say ONE word to us. NOT an apology, not a resolution, NOT one word. NOT EVEN A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SON! :(
Nicole would be a much better manager. She cares. AND, Crystal the Hibachi Chef was amazing. IF Nicole was manager our review would be 5 stars. Michael has zero class, zero care, AND dishonest!

So to start off, we did the Hibachi. It was decent but for the price it should 100% include at least fried rice or noodles. Neither were included. I felt like the portions were extremely small and the restaurant was just "okay." It wasn't a place that was even very fancy to call for those prices. The hibachi chef came out and cooked for like 10 minutes max... he barely even did anything but cook and wasn't very social. I personally do not understand how people go here when there are much better restaurants, this place feels like a major rip off. I would avoid.

Went last Thursday night with family (4 of us). The food (sushi) was actually good when we finally got it.
Terrible service honestly. Our waiter, a younger guy with shorter dark hair, was entirely absent minded. Wasn't even busy either. Slow first drink order. We all ordered sushi and they bring out my mothers plate 10 minutes before the rest of us got ours, so she got to sit there waiting while her meal went room temperature because she wanted to eat with us.
My father places another drink order and our absent waiter had to be reminded after 10 minutes that he hadn't gotten his drink. I think he completely forgot to put it in. Honestly the place was empty im not sure what this guy was doing in his free time. he definitely wasn't working...
Expensive for what it was.

Waitress greeted me pleasant, I wanted a quick bite, something simple, it's lunch time. When my order was ready, she decided to up charge for the Las Olas Friday sushi roll. Said it was $29.00, when it was $24.00. I brought it to her attention she was charging me to much, she then tells me the price was correct, so I showed her the on-line price,, oh! That will have to be changed and when you come back your paying $29. I left and looked at the Togo menu she gave me, it's posted there as well, $29. Beware people, you pay for what you want, scamming your prices on customers, it's not the way to go.
My 1st time going here. Wow! She did it smooth, so I know it's routine for her.

C(K)rystal was the hibachi chef and she was absolutely phenomenal, so fun, nice and accommodating. She cooked us the best hibachi food we've ever had in our lives. I will definitely be coming back, and requesting C(K)rystal!

I always have the best time here at red door! Nicole the server is absolutely amazing and is so attentive. Crystal makes the best fried rice and truly is the best chef.

Atmosphere is the best because you get a little show in Downtown Fort Lauderdale, on Las Olas Boulevard!

First time trying this place and seriously it was absolutely delicious. I ordered to go and they were very fast. I’m a sashimi fan so I ordered the Sashimi Deluxe which was a 16 pieces platter. And all the fish was extra fresh and delicious. I also liked that they didn’t put a whole bunch of leaves and decoration. I think they’re now my number one sashimi un FTL. Ohh and I just realized they gave extra 4 pieces thanks!!!!!

The food and service was amazing.
The food is well portioned (you will have leftovers), the staff is friendly, courteous and accommodating. We loved it and have dine 3x since our initial visit.
We sat inside, the seating was comfortable and our server was nice as well!
See you all again!

Upscale Chinese/hibachi. I didn’t sit at the grill I sat at a regular table because I wanted the Chinese cuisine and my friend ate hibachi. Best Chinese I’ve had hands down. Will visit again next time I’m in Ft. Lauderdale. Service was ok. Host could’ve explained how the restaurant works better. He seemed frustrated with our questions as it was our first time visiting this restaurant.

They were inadequately staffed. We had a reservation for hibachi, got there, and was told that we could order hibachi from the kitchen because they didn't have an "extra" hibachi chef because they'd been unexpectedly slammed. There were two tables seated that had hibachi chefs, and there were at least two empty ones from what I could see in addition to the empty tables out front and by the bar. I asked her if we could wait because one table was finishing up, and she said that there was another reservation after mine that would get that because of the timing. (ENTER EVEN MORE CONFUSED 😕). The manager (I think he was a tall, dark-haired, tattooed guy) didn't come by, apologize, or anything. We sat in the front and ordered from the kitchen. The chicken and shrimp hibachi was unseasoned and nothing great. The filet hibachi was overcooked. The hibachi from the kitchen was mid, at best. The sushi was good, though and our server was polite and attentive.

Normal items like hibachi noodles and rice are not included and charged additional if you want them. Food was good though and chef was entertaining

I literally can't say enough good things! Living in the area, I have walked by the restaurant a million times, but as I have an obscure allergy, I was hesitant. The Manager happened to be standing outside and was so friendly and welcoming that we had to go in. From the moment we sat down, the service was impeccable and our waitress, Nicole, went above and beyond, not just tableside, but also to make sure my allergy was understood and the Chef was wonderful about communicating and making sure I had a phenomenal meal. The presentation was lovely, the drinks were fantastic and we will most certainly be going back!

We went there last week for a Birthday celebration. I had filet mignon hibachi. Other people order salmon hibachi and also sushi.
The chef was friendly and the waitress super helpful. Before we were seated we hanged out at the bar. The drinks were very well done, not watery, not super strong. Just right to put you in the celebration mood. Didn’t take pictures because didn’t want to bother others but everything looked and tasted good.

The food is delicious and the hibachi experience is worth it! Took my boyfriend here to celebrate his birthday last year and we went again recently when my sister came to visit and it was just as delicious as I remembered it. Would definitely go again!

$50 for just 1 meal, no show, and a very small portion of food. Not worth it in the slightest. Just go to Benihana‘s you’ll at least get a lot of food

Great restaurant on Las Olas. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Happy Hour menu is great. Highly recommend the unfortunately named Sexy Girl Roll and the General Tsos Bites. Reasonably priced and very good.

It was the tasty smell that brought the 4 of us here! We were walking around Las Olas thinking about food but unsure where to go…and then our noses led the way! They have hibachi tables right out front practically on the street which helps a lot. I would have preferred to sit at one and we did try to reserve spots there but their system may need a little work 😊 the food however was fantastic. Excellent hibachi, got the surf and turf which made for a great choice. Good times, not cheap but worth the price!

Great location, but the prices are too spensive for the average food served. I'll definitely go back to Las Olas but not to that restaurant

While the food is great our server sucked!!! Terrible service from Kristina M. Let me explain. All was good except some of my friends ordered steamed rice instead of the $3.00 upcharge for fried rice, which never came. She never was seen again until she brought the bill, no refills, no "how is everything" no nothing. When my friend finally got her attention and asked for a glass of water, well 25 min later it came, with the bill. My friends and I where looking forward to the fried ice cream, but never given the chance to order dessert. I was surprised to see a upcharge on my bill for fried rice, when none was ordered on my friends meal. (BEWARE THEY ALSO CHARGE A CREDIT FEE THEY DONT DISCLOSE TILL YOU EE THE BILL). When I asked her to remove the charge she got upset that I didn't wanna pay for something we never got. She removed the charge after 10 min but did it as a credit on the bill so I still had to pay the sales tax on the rice. Overall the food is good, we have been to Red Door many times, but I or my group of 4 friends will not again if she is the server.

The drink server was on the show side. Seemed more concerned with conversing with other employees than service. The father of the family we were sitting with had to get up and ask to have his water refilled. The cook was very personable, and we all had some nice conversation.
The food was good, but other places we get the rice and noodles, here it was one or the other and noodles were an up charge.

My family and friends eat here often, sadly on this night the wheels came off. We always request Nicole for our waitress because she is super. We request Crystal for our chef because she is the greatest. Tonight there was going to be 6 of us. Before making the reservations we always request to note our server and chef. Tonight we were told we could have neither one. No manager came over to explain. They sent the waitress to explain. We placed our order right away before a large party in hopes we could get crystal and she didn't even go to the computer to put our order in. She went to the next table which Was the huge party and started taking their order.
We decided not to eat and left. On the way out no manager stopped to ask us why or address the situation. All good looking forward to the new Korean BBQ opening up the street. I hope they get their act together, not sure if it's new ownership or management but things have def changed and not for the better.

Such a great spot for Sushi on Las Olas Blvd. If you come with a group of friends, you can enjoy hibachi table. I got the sushi lunch special-Spicy Yellowtail, spicy tuna and eel avocado roll. It came with miso soup. Every roll I had was great. If you sit at the bar, Mike is very attentive. Definitely, new favorite spot for lunch.

Our hibachi chef Joel was outstanding. Our server Flavia was polite and attentive. The food was cooked to perfection. My daughter's first hibachi for her 15th birthday was a success. The only reason they get a 4 star is because they charge for credit card usage.
