Went in today and the service was top notch. Danielle was amazing and very cheerful. This is an update rating from over 12 months ago. Manager and staff great job

2024: Staff was pretty rude, went on a Saturday morning July 9th and woman taking order with long hair was very short and almost like she hates her job. Walked away from me when I was asking a question, which she clearly heard me asking. Food was good as usual, just a horrible vibe while I was dining in.

I Had a chicken bowl delivered by uber eats and a few bites into my food I realized the texture of the chicken was weird. I brought it into better lighting to check it out and the chicken was RAW, not undercooked but raw and still pink and clucking still. I reported it through uber and they said they would contact the store due to the health violation. It is now a week later and my biggest concern of salmonella is a reality. I got an extremely unlucky case of salmonella from Tokyo joes. I will never eat here again and you shouldn’t either.

Zack at the front who took our order was very personable and attentive throughout our dining experience. Ryan in the front also came to our table to ask us how we were doing, Abe in the kitchen even greeted me and asked how I was doing, and Wyatt making the sushi also was very personable and attentive.

This location on 120th is the one that I always go to because of the service and the food quality. They all did a great job today.

Not sure why I keep coming here. They don’t prioritize orders in-house. Usually rude. Overpriced. The fact that you can get something amazingly similar just down the street should motivate you to go there instead of here.

Gave it another shot. Really tried. Time online said my food would be ready at 1728. It’s now 1737 and it’ll be another 20 minutes according to the guy at the front staring at his computer. Online order said it would be ready 10 minutes ago. Tokyo Joe’s priorities are broken. Go somewhere else.

Maybe the worst service my wife has ever received. After being told it was a 20min wait, she waited 50 min for her meal. Then when she asked if it was almost ready the employee turned and talked to his co workers about her while she was standing there then turned around and said “it’s go to be a few more minutes”. An hour and a half later she received her COLD food. Unbelievable and unprofessional. They should truly be ashamed.

The food is always mediocre and even worse when it's busy but the customer service is almost always good but tonight was a drastic swing. I understand it was near closing time but there were employees standing around talking while a line of tickets and customers grew and no one talked to any of us other than greeting us when we first walked in. It took about 10 minutes but then an employee FINALLY came up to us to ask what we needed.

The best fast casual food spot I’ve found that’s under $15 for a meal. Food is fresh and healthy, staff is nice, atmosphere is good. Some restaurants have poor veggie quality in the summer especially, not this place! No nasty greens here. Dare I say it’s the perfect fast food? Im writing this sobbing. I havent eaten meat in 3 years, i occasionally eat fish and i decided to order the salmon bowl on doordash. I was greeted with shredded salmon and i couldnt tell if it was meat or not because the picture shows a whole fish and i recieved shredded salmon, after asking another person and thinking it was was purely salmon i ate some of it. the taste was not fish but chicken and i looked further and there was chicken bits mixed in with my salmon. Im so upset that this happened and i will never eat here again

This was first time trying a Tokyo Joe's and, for a chain restaurant, we were impressed with the quality of the ingredients. The service staff were friendly and prompt. The place was clean and interestingly decorated, though a bit darker than I preferred. I would definitely come back or to another Joe's though!

I had a great experience here. The food was quite tasty and very fresh. The veggies still had plenty of snap and the chicken was juicy. The staff was very friendly and the general manager was running around working hard. I went in the middle of the lunch rush and ate in the restaurant. The place was nice and clean. In a post covid world where it seems like customer service has been forgotten about, I'm very happy with the experience I had. I will absolutely be back.

Used to love going to this location, not so much after tonight. Paid $2 each in up charges for avocado and this is all we received on one, and didn’t even get any on our other dish. And we were missing an extra sauce that we paid for. Portions are very small and not worth the money you pay. Not my first visit, but my first time rating a stellar location of an excellent fast casual restaurant. I've always been a pretty picky eater but the super customizable menu allows me to get high quality ingredients as plain as I like them. The meats are always grilled perfectly and the rice is always just right. On this particular visit, the young man taking my order went out of his way to suggest an alternate way to order what I was trying to build on my own. It was a simpler order, plus he saved me money. He was so helpful that I also bought my drink here, which I usually don't do in order to save a little money. It was an easy suggestion that went a long way to make me feel taken care of.

I am frustrated! I tried to leave a review or provide feedback using their website but apparently they don't have that feature. I am a frequent eater here. I am also a creature of habit in that I order the same thing every single time. And it is almost never the same price. Sometimes they charge me extra for vegetables and sometimes they don't. I am extremely frustrated with this. I don't know if I will return. I wish I could get some consistency or speak to a manager But I'm not having any luck with either. Just know the customer service is inconsistent. It appears the pricing depends upon who's working the register at the time you come for your meal. I'm not sure I want to go back. I don't like complaining but I also don't like inconsistencies.

The food here is pretty tasty. Nice choices and customizations. I do, however, feel compelled to share our fun experiences from this evening's trips. Plural. First stop, both bowls had incorrect toppings. Not terribly wrong and work aroundable. Until my wife found a lovely hair cooked into her rice. Called, they offered to fix it, great and thank you! Drove back and grabbed the replacement. DIFFERENT wrong toppings and noodles instead of rice. Again, work aroundable, but definitely a little frustrating seeing as the choice was the "top 5 veggie" mix.

Listen we're all human right? Mistakes happen. This seemed a little over the top though.

You guys partner with a service for people to get food delivered which is a job. All I heard the dasher asked her was to please have someone help the new person with making sushi . She had been waiting well over 20 minutes. My friend dashes and I know they have a time limit to get food out and it can affect them making more money., THAT employee had NO business yelling and embarrassing anybody let alone someone trying to earn a living. Doordashing and all those other deliveries ARE jobs. I felt bad for the woman. Please discipline that employee if you need more info please lmk .

Hi ,I was a customer this evening and I over heard a doordasher asking the worker there how long it would take to prepare the meal for her customer, the lady asked several times because it was getting later and she had been waiting for a bit over a half hr. November 10th lunch. Multiple failures. My spicy tuna sushi on the menu says: Sriracha mayo. Asked the manager about it and was told. It doesn't come with it. I pointed to the menu and she said: with attitude "well that's not how we're instructed to make it" She did get me a side of the mayo. I ordered a drink and decided the strawberry hibiscus tea was so weak I should have just asked for a water glass. After sitting down my wife said "My dish doesn't have Chicken in it" which you can see from the menu it's supposed to have. "And it's missing the egg" I asked if I should go up again and decided against it as now there was a long line. For a $30+ lunch for 2 people you screwed up multiple times on the same order. Not returning.

We ordered two servings of sushi, one eight count, and one four count. We waited 20 minutes to get our order and they made the wrong rolls I ordered the wonton rolls and they gave me the california rolls when I asked them to correct the mistake I had to wait another 15 minutes for 4 rolls of sushi. All in all, I had to wait 35 minutes for 4 rolls. It is dark in the restaurant, the chairs are uncomfortable, I can get better sushi else where and wait half the time, not going back and do not recommend them.

Worst service I’ve ever had at a Tokyo Joe’s. There’s 7 people working but for some reason we still waited over 30min for 2 rice bowls. There were a ton of orders ready in bags with a group of people standing around, waiting for their name to be caller but 3 of the 7 workers just stood there looking at people without calling any names. My rice bowl was soaked in way too much sauce and they forgot some of the food that was supposed to be included in the bowl. Super disappointing since other locations seem to be a lot better. Very disappointed. Usually get good quality, today, dry, overcooked chicken, the avocado was old. Taste bad. Difficult to eat with partial dentures because the chicken is overcooked. Whole thing gives message of "don't care". Shoot I can't even cut the chicken with a plastic knife. I don't know who cooked today or put this together, but if they have no more pride than to serve this, they might not need to work there. Was a waste of $26.+ dollars. Louise

I would like to rate 1 star but I'm rating it 4 stars because I don't want anyone to lose their job. The employees were all super cool and explained everything so I could easily understand. The food itself was cooked through all the way. I just don't feel like the food is worth what I paid for it. It doesn't have to do with preparation. It was prepared well. It's kind of like charging 15 dollars for a well prepared grilled cheese. It's well made, tastes good, but just isn't worth that much money. I also sampled all the lemonades. Didn't care for most of them. In short. Employees great, corporate decisions bad.

It is with an earnest heart that I proclaim this Asiatic takeaway establishment to be pious sector, one brimming with workers, who each greet ye with merry countenances and whom toil incessantly to ensure that you are not embroiled with rotten vittles that invoke food poisoning.

As a matter of recommendation, I see fit to give an honourable mention to the worker who goes by the sobriquet of 'Colton Ailuropoda', a panda with a charming grin and who is the paragon of customer service. Procure for him a raise I say and tenfold!

It's the level of degradation that has happened at this location.

It went from my go to teriyaki bowl place, to a place where they won't even get the orders correct.

I ordered a Large Teriyaki bowl online, and am so used to walking in and walking out without having to check my order, but today they have let me down. I received a regular bowl instead of a large, the chicken portion was less than a regular size portion (I've ordered enough regular and large bowls to tell the difference) which was inedible, and the broccoli wasn't cut and were extremely large cloves (again this is compared to the previous bowls I've received)

Now with reviewing some of the previous reviews, I see that this is a recent issue and hopefully it will get fixed, but I won't be around to see it. I'll be hitting the Wadsworth location from now on see they have yet to disappoint.

It was fine - a solid three stars. Not enough sauce for the potstickers or the bowl. But it met my need for food I didn't make myself.

I ordered a kids sized chicken bowl and potstickers - the bowl was good but could've used more sauce and the potstickers were lacking - soggy, stuck together, and hardly any sauce.

Normally I love this place! I come here every time I visit from out of town. Been comming here sense I was about 13. I'm now 28 and the last few times I have came whether is was dine in or take out the quality of food and service has drastically gone out the window. This last visit has me unsure on whether I will ever spend my money here again. The staff at this lotion seem uncaring, to the point that when I reminded the person taking my order about my adicit number they seemed annoyed. They didn't hear me that I wanted to big samlon bowl and charger me for a regular instead and I got a regular which no big deal. But then when I went home with the order and saw the Avacado was brown and rotten that they charge extra for that was it for me. And I know the staff had enough time to see that that Avacado wasnt good quality as I had ordered to go and watch my food sit for 35 minutes while they made the sushi and springs rolls I ordered as well. And then there was the spring rolles. Which seemed like they where all disorganized and different sizes one had more rice paper than filling. So needless to say I probably won't be eat here anymore at least not at that location.

Terrible experience, this location is getting worse and worse. We ordered DoorDash and the kids bento box was in a bowl(cheap or lazy) the food was terrible and no drink or chop sticks were included. Sushi was definitely sitting for a while and was inedible. Lazy service, clearly employees do not care.

Disappointing. At first I was excited to order from here given the sheer amount of custom options available for each dish, but after ordering a chicken bowl with the Red Dragon and Green dragon sauces, I was disappointed to find that it was basically just sliced rotisserie chicken on top of rice...the sauces were given on the side instead of mixed in. Overall it was a very bland meal, and I was still hungry after paying nearly 20 dollars for a meal. Not what I was expecting or hoping for.

This is a Japanese fast food restaurant. The food is tasty and fresh as well as filling. You can have beef, chicken, salmon, or tuna with your choice of vegetables, many to choose from , on a bed of white or brown rice. The teriyaki sauce is unique, it is like none that I have tasted before. The red pepper is worth mentioning. A memorable eating experience.

Normally I love this place. Tonight I placed the same order I’ve been planning for years and WOW did they mess it up. My sushi rolls were rolled, with no rice, into spring roll style. Two different rolls ordered but I got two of the same “spring rolls”. The manager tried to explain to me that it’s because I ordered soy or rice paper instead of seaweed. Try again! Avoid avoid avoid. I have been craving this all week and it’s not cheap.

I ordered two create your own bowls this afternoon. I added extra white meat chicken which wasn't added. I called back and ended up receiving a refund and that was appreciated. As I started eating my bowl after I hung up with Tokyo Joe's, I bite into water chestnuts. I never ordered water chestnuts. I for sure was extremely lucky I didn't happen to be allergic to them. I looked at my receipt to make sure it wasn't a mistake on my part; it wasn't my mistake. This isn't something to mess up or rush through because you have a slew of orders that just rolled in. I understand mistakes happen but it was very obvious that my order was rushed through and not thoroughly checked. I will eat at Tokyo Joe's again because I like the food. The kitchen needs to pay more attention to what their putting in these bowls.

I ordered from Uber Eats the steak bowl with udon noodles and spring rolls. the spring rolls were small and mostly filled with big chunks of carrot. The noodles were so over cooked and mushy. There was so much moisture/water with the noodles that the sauce they sent wouldnt even cling to the noodles. it just got watered down at the bottom. Worse taste and texture ever!

I was excited to see Tokyo Joes on GrubHub as I've loved their food in the past. I read some bad reviews that the orders have been wrong and food sometimes not great, but I didn't believe them. Well, I received my delivery, on time, and the order was wrong and food was awful. The spring rolls have shrunk and it almost seems as if they are old...very stale and not good at all. I got the Thai noodle bowl and ordered with egg (no egg on there) as well as veggies (which were slivers and almost not there). The chicken was gross and the biggest bummer was that the noodles were doused in Thai sauce to the point where it was slimy. Anyway, I won't go back to this place again, ever.

Filthy parking lot. Dirty outdoor tables. Worst customer service I have ever had. Can’t believe she is even allowed to speak to people. I felt like I was ruining her life by walking in the door. Also, no curbside at this location. You have to walk inside to grab order. This used to be my favorite location but haven been in a couple years. I won’t ever go back!
