I eat here too much. The couple that own Sushi Box are some of the kindest people I've ever met. They have a great staff, intimate setting, a great selection of alcoholic beverages and even better sushi and food. They have the utmost quality when it comes to cuisine and we are truly lucky to have them in Longmont.

Amazing sushi and even better presentation! The Super Spider Roll, Monster Roll and Grinch Roll were presented so awesome that we didn't want to eat it, we just wanted to gaze at them. Until we didn't and ate them and then they taste amazing as well!!!!! The service is great and everyone is so nice. Thanks we will be back again for sure!!!

Very cute intimate place, very clean and decorated. Service was awesome! The couple who owns it are the chef and manager so they are very involved and care about each customer that walks in. Food was amazing. The Spiderman roll was beautiful and delicious and the sushi burrito was stuffed and delicious! Also, try the local, homemade egg drop soup - SO good! Will definitely be back. Glad we found this little gem!

I went to sushi box for the first time today. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful in helping me pick out a to go meal. He even gave me a delicious cup of tea while I waited! The sushi and sashimi were fantastic, as were the miso soup and salad. Fresh, delicious, and incredibly satisfying. I will be going back! Thank you sushi box for a wonderful experience!

I spoke with Jason (the owner I think) and this place has really improved. The soft shell crab roll was fantastic as was the service. I hope they add a snow crab cucumber and tomago (egg) sushi to the menu. I came in on 10/30 and custom ordered a crab roll. This place is always a 10 out of 10.

Awesome place! Owners and staff go above and beyond, and absolutely fits the bill for a neighborhood hangout. Prices are very fair for the portions - rolls are thicc and sashimi/nigiri are two bite pieces. Lunch specials are awesome as well, the rice bowls are a killer deal and cheaper than a lot of fast food options these days.

Last visit we ordered gyoza, two orders of nigiri, two rolls, and hot tea and walked out stuffed with amazing food and vibes for around $40 a person, including tip.

If you made it this far in the review then make sure to request a pot of their house hot tea - best in the state!

This is the kind of local gem restaurant that you are torn between not wanting to tell people about to keep it a secret, but they’re doing such a good job that you want everyone to know! The sushi is as good or better than anything I’ve ever had worldwide (the rolls, and salmon are my personal favs), big portions, and the owner Jason and his wife are doing all the right things. The last time I was there was for dinner on a Friday and it was a perfect mix of clientele: families, couples, singles, young, old; very comfortable and everyone was welcome. It’s the kind of place that you’re grateful to the owners for going to the work to offer in our community!

Just moved to Colorado from Texas. This is the first sushi spot I tried since moving and it was magnificent. Loved it. Great flavors. I got 2 rolls but my favorite was the salmon lover. The honey Wasabi sauce was a nice touch. I will be back. Can't wait to share with my husband. I doubt the other sushi spots in town will compare but I still plan to maybe give them a chance. Ha.

Update: I gave all the other places in town a chance & this one is by far the best. Best quality & the most for your money. Sooo gooooood.

I found out about this hidden gem from the friendly Hover Crossing liquor store employee, Rick next door. Rick and I talked Sake for a while and he asked if I had been to Sushi Box? I said no...and then went two days later. How fun!! Tu and Jason are Longmont Locals who appreciate customers and know how to treat people. So delicious. The Japanese craft beer, Sake, pork egg rolls, 20 Pc Sashimi. All great cuts with generous portions. I found a new neighborhood sushi place. Fantastic!

Family run spot. Nice folks. Foods been consistently really good the 4-5 times we’ve been in over a year and a half or so. If you haven’t been you should go. The food is as good or better than any sushi in town, imo and just easy. No stress.

I don’t normally think a five star review deserved but, they have earned it. Sushi box is the perfect take out sushi but, if you dine in you’ll see that it’s even better for their personable service. I often go out alone and this place is so welcoming I feel like I’m going to my parents to eat dinner. I take all my friends here and they all comment on how friendly the owners are.

The quality of their fish is very high as I like Nigiri or sushi so you can’t hide it with a sauce. However, their rolls are so creative and the flavors well balanced I end up ordering rolls often. Bring your appetite because their portions are not small and prices are very reasonable.

If you want to try some nice beer, sake, or Japanese whisky ask them and they will share their passion about their different options.

Our friends told us to try this place and it was nothing short of fantastic! The chef/owner and her husband are amazing, very kind and friendly folks. The egg drop soup is definitely a must have…made with locally sourced eggs! You can’t go wrong with any of the rolls…just ask questions and try what sounds good…you won’t be disappointed! The best sushi I’ve had. I fly all the way from the east coast to see my family, and Sushi Box is one of two restaurants we HAVE to visit whenever I’m in Longmont. The food was stellar, we told ourselves we weren't going to order a whole lot and ended up ordering 7+ rolls, appetizers, and drinks. Do not let the location of Sushi box scare you away, this place is GOOD! We had takeout so can’t speak on the dining experience. However, when I went to pick the food up, every table in the little restaurant was full.

Just tried this place for the first time and really enjoyed it. The restaurant has great atmosphere and decor, the staff was super friendly, the owner (I think he was) also said hi and was pretty cool.

And the biggest thing I liked was that the fish was incredibly fresh so my sushi was delicious. The price was reasonable so I will definitely be coming back again.

Me and my wife are big sushi fans, and have been on the hunt for a regular sushi spot for years now and stumbled on this place out of curiosity a little over a year ago. And we are hooked! The owners and operators are both the chefs and the servers And hire help from time to time. They genuinely care about the customer experience as well as the quality of the food and attentiveness to their customers every need. The quality of the fish and the craftsmanship of the sushi and every single item on the menu is phenomenal! We are so grateful to have found a place , that is this good so close to home! I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at Sushi Box in Longmont! From the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our server, John, was exceptional with his polite and quick service. He made sure we had a delightful time throughout our meal. This is my absolute favorite sushi place in Longmont now. It even rivals some of the sushi we’ve had in bigger cities. Very small restaurant, probably 10-12 tables? indoors and a few on the outdoor patio. The service was great. We ordered the Momo Roll, Crispy Roll, Spider Roll, and Avocado Cucumber roll. All were excellent, but the Momo and Spider were definitely our faves. Saved just enough room for their sticky rice to end the meal. It was perfection. Warm sticky rice covered in mango slices and a sweetened coconut cream. Perfect balance of salty, sweet, creamy, and a little nutty from the toasted sesame seed. Definitely a must try. Will definitely be back! 💯

We were trying to give this place a second chance, but they messed the food up again. This was supposed to be a Lady in Red roll. It is supposed to have spicy mayo and eel sauce on it. It literally has no sauce at all. My husband got the same roll, but with no avocado, and his roll also had no sauce. At least the gyoza was okay.

The sushi was okay, good for a landlocked state but now the best in Colorado. I did think it was good and loved it up until I found a pile of fish bones on the outside, stuck to an entire roll. Of course I only found it once it was on my mouth. I picked out 14 bones that if I wasn't chewing carefully I could have easily missed. I accidentally swallowed one I missed and it got stuck in my throat for 4 hours. The worst part was that it wasn't skill or anything, just negligence to take them all out and keep them with the sushi. I might come back, but will definitely be sitting inside in case something like this happens again.

My family took a trip to Estes Park from Tulsa and we have other family around Denver, so we all decided to meet in Longmont for dinner. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was even better! The owner was just the sweetest and did everything to make sure we had a great experience. My husband and I have eaten here a couple of times and I just love this place! There is a darling couple that run it! The food is amazing! We love the soft shell crab and the mussels for appetizers! This place is awesome. Great people, great service, good tasting food. My only concern is it cost $17 for a sushi burrito. That's like 2 chipottle burritos. And they don't have a beverage machine yet, which is odd to have cans and disposable chop sticks on the table for a high dollar restaurant. Regardless I'd probably recommend to a friend. Willing to give the place another try later down the road.

We were very pleasantly surprised having lunch at Sushi Box while en route to visit a relative in Longmont. The ambiance was pleasant, warm, and inviting: very upscale by strip-mall standards. The owner, who waited on us, was congenial and informative. The food was excellent, the best sushi we have had since moving to Colorado a year and a half ago. The egg drop soup (made with fresh, locally sourced eggs) was remarkable and the best I’ve ever had. The sushi was fresh and delightful. The ginger honey tea was a very pleasant surprise. We would highly recommend Sushi Box, and will definitely be returning there on a future trip to the area.

THE freshest, best tasting sushi I have had in Colorado!

Not only was the sushi great quality but so are the people. The owners were very hospitable and we will be going back. 10/10 do recommend to family and friends.

This place is my new favorite sushi joint! Delicious, fresh sushi that won't break the bank in a cute, modern, clean atmosphere. Nice bar to sit and have beer while waiting for take out. Great service with knowledgeable staff. I'm so happy to have found it!! Neighborhood goodness!!

I love Japanese food! This restaurant does it right! First of all the inside decor and atmosphere are amazing! Just being there feels like your being immersed in Japan. Second of all, the food is amazing and delicious! I ordered a few different sushi rolls and each one of them was savory and tasteful! Well rolled and not falling apart like some cheap gas station sushi! Lastly the staff was extremely friendly! Everyone took care of us and made sure our needs were met! Our waitress was only on her second day there and you couldn’t even tell! She was so kind and did a wonderful job serving my guest and I. I can’t wait to go back for more!

My boyfriend and I just had lunch there today and the sushi was amazing! I must say one of the freshest sushi I’ve had in a very long time. The flavors were Unami! Also the hospitality was great, they allowed us to feel free to share our opinions about certain dishes and if we had a concern they made sure that the problem was solved. Would love to visit here again when we come back to Colorado! 5/5

This is an absolutely wonderful family-owned sushi joint and very accessible. The visit is always very personal and the owners and wait-staff go out of their way to cater to their patrons. The food, which I should mention I guess, is also great! Go try it! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Sushi Box is by far the best place for sushi. I’ve been here many times and will always be back. The atmosphere and service are second to none. I would definitely recommend the soups and eggrolls, and the sakes. Definitely the sakes 😁

Lovely little mom and pop sushi spot! We went the first time on Valentines to an apparently unusually packed house. One of the owners waited on us and was lovely! He kept apologizing for the chaos but we loved the energy and a local business getting the business they clearly deserve. We will absolutely be back to come chat up the management to get to know them and eat some of the best sushi I’ve had in Colorado thus far! We sat at the bar next to a regular who simply came in for sake and to have some company, such a homey vibe!

Holy Tuna! This place is so great 🙌🏻 From the friendly service by the cute couple that owns the place, to the AMAZING sushi rolls (at a great price for Longmont) we will definitely be coming back. The sushi rolls and drink options are the perfect amount of authentic blended with Americanization so the average customer won't be intimidated. The Super Spider roll might be the best roll I've ever had in Colorado 🍣

This place is small yet incredible. Husband and wife ran. Very cool people. I was blown away by how good the food is. Combo C is my favorite along with the heart attack or baked mussels. So good. Would recommend to anyone, friend, or family.

Lovely place! Family owned and operated restaurant. The service was phenomenal. We felt well taken care and our food came out fairly fast. The location had a lovely ambiance, we enjoyed the artwork and the lighting. The food was great!! We received decent sized portions, and it tasted amazing! Will definitely go again.

So good! The owners are so nice and laid back and have created a fantastic and comfortable environment.

The food is soooo good. GET THE HEART ATTACK. It’s the greatest appetizer ever. All the food has been great so far but that’s a standout for sure.

This sushi place has a great ambiance and vibe to it. When I read previous reviews after Jason and Tu took over I had to go! I've lived in Longmont over 20 years!
This truly is the best sushi place to eat. We felt very welcomed, like we were in their personal home. We had the combo platter. Every piece of fish was the freshest I've ever tasted! They literally melted in my mouth. The cuts were larger than anywhere which really enhanced the flavor. Even their ginger was succulent. What can I say? The better than I've ever tasted egg drop soup was freshly made and had just the right amount of salt and broth consistency. The honey Ginger Tea was spot on. And the suggested cold Saki, served in clear Saki glasses, was perfect with our dinner. Jason is a connoisseur at that! I did forget my sweet little Saki jar though that Jason suggested I bring home.
We went in there not really knowing what we wanted. Jason was very kind to relay our taste bud's desires to his wife, the sushi chef. So we ended up adding to our combo platter the Super Spiderman that was very large, super tasty, and presented well. We brought some of that home. Everything was perfect!
I'll be back again and again!

4.5. Much better since new ownership. really nice folks working there and a much needed option for NW Longmont - female sushi chef is nice to see as well. Photo is salmon, tuna, and yellowtail rice bowl. Delicious. Dec 2022. Will be going back much more often now. One suggestion for owners please change to compostables for take out rather than styrofoam.

Place is amazing. Combo A,B, and C are all great choices. They offer a teriyaki chicken roll for the land eaters. Place offers traditional sushi dishes made hand made feet away from you. Recommended for people looking for the homemade mom and pop restaurant.

This place is a gem!! The owners Tu and Jason are so friendly and welcoming. And the food is delicious and fresh. We went for lunch/a celebration and ended up staying a few hours because we were having such a delightful time. We will come back for sure!!

You can taste the love in the food made by the owners themselves. The customer service was an experience in itself! We were lucky to have arrived after the dinner rush and got to get to know the owners and a little of their story. Definitely looking forward to the next sushi night with them 💞👌🏼🤤

I'm funny about names—admittedly—the name "Sushi Box" just never quite appealed to me for the last 2 years of living here. But this weekend, I wanted to go eat within walking distance and figured I would give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised to have been so cordially and warmly greeted and attended to by Jason (the former nurse!). His wife Tu made my "Salmon Lovers Roll" so beautiful and tasty. She even walked over to my table to make sure I was happy. The salmon was fresh and melted in my mouth (as only fresh will do). Was also pleasantly surprised to see two female sushi chefs - did't realize the rarity until I actually saw this anomaly. A wonderful neighborhood dining establishment - will return!

Been there twice and this is the best sushi I've had and maybe even better than way back in the mid-2000's when I would enjoy Sushi 1 in Greeley before they had the fire. The woman who makes the sushi is as far as I'm concerned, the best sushi chef around these parts.
Just visited again today and yet another amazing experience. If you want the best sushi around, come here. It also felt great to be recognized by the owners today! Very nice and friendly couple who own this restaurant with great service which is rare these days.

We were there to celebrate my son's 18th birthday and they really made it special. They were able to reserve the whole front patio for us. The food was amazing and they made a few special pieces just for my son. They made sure we didn't run out of drinks and kept the pace of the meal going. They even gave a special dessert on the house. The service far surpassed our expectation and again the food was GREAT. We will ABSOLUTELY be back soon!

We somehow missed coming here until recently despite living in Longmont for many many years. Easily one of the best sushi places in Colorado, honestly.

Staff is friendly, the fish is fresh and delicious, and we ended up going a few times in a week it was just so good. The lemon and salmon roll they do is spectacular, and I highly recommend it.

The food is great and You should go here for the great service! Jason and his wife Tu are amazing people. And Tu makes some very tasty rolls!
The place is beautifully decorated and has a great dinning area. They are very accommodating and can pretty much whatever you want.
I had the heart attack (spicy tuna stuffed jalapeños) and they were amazing and spicy! Did some sashimi tuna and albacore, very good as well, and the sunrise roll. It was HUGE!
The entire time I was talking and having a great time with the owners who were amazing! Glad I found this place and highly recommend for you Longmont locals!

Possibly some of the best sushi we have had in Colorado outside of Hapa in downtown Boulder. Not only is the food flavorful, but it is not loaded with unecessary salts and flavors that other restaurants serve. The Unagi was excellent and hand-made in a mom-and-pop shop style atmosphere that almost brings you to the alley restaurants of Japan. We will be back.

I’ve been to quite a few sushi places in town and I have to say this is the best by far! My first time I came Delilah served me. Without question the best service I have ever had. She was subtle yet pronounced exactly when required. Her recommendations on cuisine were perfect! I’ll be back every week to see her and the amazing chef that is constantly blowing my mind with sushi I never thought possible. You can’t go wrong here
