Premium Omakase Sushi in Littleton, CO.
We went here for lunch. It's one of my daughter's favorite sushi places. It did not disappoint! Service was top- notch and personal. They knew her by her name.
We started with the Hamachi and Apple which was crisp and refreshing and the Belly Buns which were well seasoned.
We ordered 3 rolls, the Dragon, the Spider and the Sexy roll which was on special. And we also order the unagi and flounder. Yum!
The decor was very simple and elegant.
I see why my daughter likes this place so much!

The food was fresh, and crisp. The atmosphere was pleasant and not too loud including other guests. The service was a little brisk at first, but then warmed up a bit during our meal. The food portions were appropriate for the prices and was just enough for our sitting to be full but not waste food. The server bussed our table at the end of our meal so we could chat after which is definitely something I look for. The facility was clean, quaint, and overall I was satisfied with the experience. I'm not sure about pronouncing the restaurant's name and some of the menu items, maybe that should be something that's addressed a little further for their sushi restaurant market share in Denver. THANKS!

We’ve dined at this sushi restaurant multiple times, and it never disappoints. The food, service, and overall experience are consistently exceptional.
We’ve tried both omakase options, and while the higher price point adds some exquisite pieces, the value is excellent across the board.
For an unforgettable omakase experience, this is the place to reserve. Beyond the incredible food and outstanding staff, the warm, friendly ambiance makes it feel like you’re dining with family and friends.

We did the Omakase menu and it each bite was wonderfully prepared.
The restaurant was busy and the service was great.
Would have liked a drink pairing for the price of the menu, or least have it as an option.
It was hard to hear when they were explaining it to us as we were sat a few seats away from the chef.
Would recommend for a fun evening!

When they found out that I enjoy sushi, my Denver-area clients recommended this enjoyable, interactive restaurant.
Seated at the bar, I had a front row seat as one sushi roll after another was made by hand. The service was responsive and friendly. The Wagyu fried rice was delicious. The ice cream was delightful in its presentation and flavor. My server was attentive, responsive, and professional.
I left enjoying a delicious meal, delightfully full, an overall excellent dining experience.
Highly recommend!

I don't mind paying $120 for omakase but I was really disappointed tonight. I have frequent this restaurant before and tonight just made me not ever want to come back here. There are quite a few nigiris that was really good but the first few plates was embarrassing. The rice was definitely undercooked and the samon nigiri..... I am fortunate that ginger was discovered.

I had the most delicious miso black cod here! Since it was an entrée, it came out later than the sushi. I loved the vegetables that came with it: asperagus and potatoes! The rice was a nice touch as well. I had the miso soup as a starter. Loved the cute wooden spoon. The shishito peppers were also quite delicious too. They do have a patio and seem to be dog friendly, since there was a bowl of water on the ground near the fence. Love that they take care of furry friends!

We had a negative experience at a popular Denver sushi place and ended up here on the way home. I am so glad we did. Probably the best sushi I’ve had in Colorado in the few years I’ve been here. Cute place, good service. Sushi is incredible and fresh with unique flavors.

They have unique items that are very tasty. Beautiful presentation and great service. Because the restaurant is small it gets loud. But it’s worth giving it a try.

A little late to share this review but went there for my birthday last August and it was like we were forgotten. Some big muscely guy came in with his family, looked to be a regular and they got amazing service, A really disappointing experience overall. We did omakase for this special occasion and sometimes were waiting 15-20 mins for the next piece.

The server was faster with the check than our food. We came here for a business lunch. Simple order: two sushi entrees and a gyoza appetizer. The gyozas arrived 15 MINUTES after our entrees did. Our meals were done when the app showed up.
The server had no sense of urgency and couldn’t be bothered to be proactive about anything.
I will return begrudgingly for the food because the sushi is bar none. But the service is hot trash.

We went for Omakase on my birthday.
I honestly give this place a 6/10 -- fancy displays but the food quality is subpar at best. Moreover, I saw them pouring house dressing out of a store bought bottle, so they don't even make their own sauces.
Kind of highway robbery for the prices they charge and the quality of food delivered. I'll just stick to pokebowls for better food next time.

Best sushi in Denver, hands down. I’ve been going to Makizushico for years at this point. Their fish is of supreme quality, their preparation is unparalleled in this part of the country, and their service is top notch. Also, the restaurant atmosphere is excellent. Cannot recommend enough (in fact I recommend this restaurant more than any other locally!).

Worst sushi I've ever had. I've had food poisoning for two days after eating this. The sushi itself is awful and unclean. I've had better sushi in a grocery store. Never go here.

My family invited me to this location there were about seven of us. I have nothing but good recommendations for this place; this was my second time at this location. The food was excellent and fresh. The service was outstanding and the environment was super friendly and clean. We had a great time laughing and joking with each other. The seating accommodations were perfect for a large family. I am so sorry I didn't take the time to snap some pictures of our delicious food.

This afternoon I stopped in for my third visit to Makizushico. I brought along my roommate and fiancée to enjoy a great meal.
Typically I’ll visit an izakaya/sushi restaurant a few times before I decide whether or not I’d recommend/regularly visit it, to make sure it’s consistent and to see if the experiences stack up with each other.
To say I’m blown away is an understatement. We enjoyed an omakase hosted by Will and Eric, (I hope I’m spelling your names right!) and for $120/person I don’t think you could do better anywhere outside of Japan. I’ve eaten in some of the premiere sushi restaurants throughout Denver and the United States, including Nobu, Matsuhisa, Uchi, etc. Nowhere have I felt more welcomed, been more personally accommodated, or had my preferences remembered from only two other visits at such a high level.
The service was absolutely phenomenal, and I had the pleasure of enjoying extensive conversation with our hosts. The omakase was well paced, our area was kept clean, and the food was exemplary - especially at this price point.
With pieces like the uni handroll, pulled otoro handroll, amaebi, (with the head deep fried - eat it!) and otoro nigiri topped with an uni/caviar yakumi smoked with cherry wood - I wouldn’t be surprised to see this omakase cost in the mid $200 range.
I will be a regular for years to come, and there’s nowhere I’ll recommend to friends and family over Makizushico. Thank you so much for the experience and the amazing food.

Had an awesome anniversary/ Birthday Omakase here. Price was extremely reasonable in comparison to locations downtown $120 for top tier vs $350 downtown with the same amount of courses. Will definitely be back everyone was super friendly and had some amazing chief inspired dishes to test our pallets.

Spiderman roll was burnt like it was torched by a dragon. Sorry but you don't just get to charge that much and call yourself high end food and have chefs that are not good enough to realize they burned my soft shell crab and it needed to be remade.

This was a really good omakase expierence. We opted for the $100 option and it came with approx. 16 items. There was two things that were not good... some kind of scallop pudding and the wagyu was so chewy I had to spit it out. The best things we had was the toro and crepe cake. I would go back and order just those items. I look forward to going back and trying more.

Very fresh and nice presentation. Good prices. Came for lunch, it was nice and quiet on a Sunday. The Jalapeño Yellowtail was very good. The other tables around us ordered the chirashi and some hand rolls and it looked excellent.

Really embarrassing. Took several minutes staring at an iPad before telling us we could sit at the bar. Sat down, took a sip of water before someone else told us those seats were reserved. Said sorry but nothing else as we left the seats. Decided to leave. Obviously busy so I assume the food is good but the service was disappointing. There were three other open seats at the bar and two other tables open at the time. This was at 6 pm on a Tuesday. I would recommend getting a reservation

This is the first time I tried omakase, the taste is very good, the fish is very fresh, I am a person who is very afraid of the fishy smell of fish but this place did not disappoint me, everything is very delicious and the service is very enthusiastic. I like it very much, the only thing is that the time to serve food is a bit slow, making me delay while eating. Overall, everything is okay.

+ Quality Sushi
+ Clean
- Overpriced
- Knowledge of Staff
- Accommodations
We opted for the $100 per person omakase with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience was only moderately enjoyable. In fairness, the duck liver, A4 Wagyu, and the smoked caviar nigiri were exceptional. The flavors were incredibly rich and the texture of the meat was tender, approaching perfection.
The dining experience at the establishment, while priced at a premium of over $100 per person, fell short of expectations in several key areas. Firstly, the staff demonstrated a lack of attention to detail, failing to remember dietary restrictions and causing unnecessary delays in service. Secondly, the omakase experience lacked the expected level of engagement, with no explanations or insights provided about the dishes, beyond their origin and name. Lastly, the pacing of the meal was unsatisfactory, with extended waiting periods between courses, resulting in a disjointed and unenjoyable dining experience. Additionally, an intoxicated individual disrupted our meal, and the staff failed to adequately address the situation. Lastly, we anticipate the server to be knowledgeable about the dishes they are serving. While it is understandable that human error can occur, the frequency with which they had to check with someone else, resulting in prolonged waiting times, was excessive. Comments such as "I think that's the blue fin" or "it looks like..." were unprofessional, especially considering the price point of the establishment.
Overall, for the price paid, the restaurant provided a limited selection of nigiri, but the most prominent shortcomings were the service and overall experience.

Yummy salmon, great service, atmosphere was ok. We were on the patio seated closely to other tables so conversation was semi private, and you had to duck umbrellas and lights to get to the table. But overall great experience and would go back

My friend and I went for the first time. We arrived at 445 and we're told the whole place was reserved at 5:30. So we agreed to be seated and finish eating by 530
It was a Sat night so this must be a happening spot. The servers were really nice and attentive. I had a sashimi platter and it was very good. Served on a big ball of ice - I liked that. I'd definitely go there again.

The overall dining atmosphere is calm and comfortable, and the Japanese cuisine is very high quality! The freshness of the sashimi and the texture of the rice are simply awesome! The Takoyaki here is also a must-order for me!

This has to be some of the worst sushi I’ve gotten in a long time. None of the rolls had any flavor, the rice was not seasoned, the fish was extremely gristly, and one of the special rolls had fish that was so off-putting and going bad that we threw the entire roll out. Poor quality fish, no fresh ingredients. I also tried the beef gyudon bowl and the ingredients were not fresh and it was very poor quality beef.
I was excited to try this place because the great reviews and was more than disappointed. I wish I had not tasted the food at all as now I feel gross and am afraid I’m going to get sick…

The sushi here is great! We got nigiri and rolls and neither disappointed. The nigiri was the perfect temp, lightly garnished and had great texture and flavor. The specialty rolls were well thought out and executed without being outlandish. The decorations and visual atmosphere were very appealing, but the music was atrocious. Owner - please don't play Jason Mraz or Ed Sheeran 🙏.

My husband and I stopped here a few weeks back. There were only a few patrons in the dining room and we waited several minutes before someone showed up to take us to a table. He ended up seating us at a “group” table in the back of the restaurant which we thought was odd but went with it. We then waited and waited and waited for a server to come over. Took our drink orders and said he would be back. In the mean time, a party of 5 came in and were promptly seated at the “group” table we were at. While there was a couple of seats between us and them, everyone could hear each others conversation.
We placed our order for sashimi and some gyoza and specialty rolls with our server. When the sashimi came out, I commented to the server that I had never seen sashimi sitting on rice before and he stated that we ordered sushi, not sashimi. Never offered to make it right.
Long story short, poor service, food was decent but I will never return here. That is not how you treat customers. Wait staff was poor at best.

Super delicious, high quality sushi, friendly staff, and great prices for what you’re getting! Came here for the first time from the Glendale area so it was a bit of a drive but it was so worth it and we will definitely be back. Only thing that I would say is, even with a reservation, you might not get seated for a bit and service might be slow, but that wasn’t such a bother. The restaurant is really busy, but that’s obviously for a good reason! It gave me and my party time to actually enjoy each others conversation and company! The server even comped us a bottle of really great Sake for the trouble.

This was some of the most delicious Japanese food I have had in a long time. If I could eat the omakase everyday I would. This is the kind of food that makes you want to move to japan. I was truly blown away by the quality of the food. And the owner took time to come and talk with me and made me feel special and welcome. My only qualms would be my server didn't seem to want to serve us. He ignored us for quite some time before he was willing to take an order. I think perhaps he was annoyed because we were a three top including a child during a busy night and he wanted a four top little did he know we were going to spend a lot of money and his mood did improve the more I ordered as the night went on he seemed much nicer when he realized he was probably going to make a good tip after all but it's not fair that you are treated accordingly to how much money you are going to give them. All customers should feel welcome. I would go back tonight for dinner but I would be afraid to get the same server for my server. It makes me feel anxious to go out at all tbh. But at least the owner and the manager were very nice to me and the food was impeccable. Highly recommended to anyone who loves good Japanese food and is looking for a five-star experience however they should upgrade their service to reflect the quality of their food. Because that was a bit of a miss for me. And I am a former server myself and I have been even recommended by my coworkers that I should ignore customers because they're not going to tip well and I never did that I always treated everybody with kindness and respect across the board. So that is what I expect when I come to a restaurant regardless of how much money I'm spending or not. Que sera sera.

The food was amazing. The restaurant has to fix their tabling of customers, too disorganized.

Had a 630 reservation, wasn’t even checked in or acknowledged by the host until 645, wasn’t seated until 7. Wow! Just Wow! We had the Omakase, full top flight, to celebrate a significant birthday. Everything was more than perfect! It was inspired and had every favorite we could imagine, and then some. And the plates kept coming! Toro, the best white tuna, tuna belly with a jot of smoked condiment, a savory egg custard with seafood in it (excellent with a sip of Japanese whiskey), Kobe beef as sushi, rainbow fish, the best uni (from Japan), and even foie gras done perfectly - items we wouldn’t ordinarily allow ourselves to order but remarkable presentations and remarkable to find this in Littleton CO! We gave the chefs a bow at the end of the meal. Memorable! 10 Stars! Thank You!
Visited 10 months ago
Wow, just wow.. as Littleton locals we've passed many times without a thought to what was contained. I can assure you though, we will never round the corner to our home without thinking of that meal again. The omakase, at $120 pp before drinks and tips felt a gamble as a first timer, but with each immaculately designed plate, the price faded and the value soared.. and by the end, we were only left with one thought and one word.. Wow, just wow. So Please, next time you drive to Littleton.. stop in. It will not only be the best piece of sushi you may ever have, but Makizushico elevates our entire fair town of Littleton with its presence.

We tried the omakase experience and it did not disappoint! We scheduled a regular reservation for a Sat night (5pm) but when we got there, we had to wait for our table because there weren’t any open tables/seats ready at that time… I’m not sure what the confusion/lack of planning was there, but the 10 min wait wasn’t too bad. We told the waiter we wanted to do omakase, and he explained the 3 tiers we could select from: the $80/person gave you 11-12 “bites” (sushi or otherwise), $100/person gave you 14-15 bites, and $120/person gave you 17-18 bites. We chose the mid-level + 2 appetizers (takoyaki and shishito peppers) and we were comfortably full by the end of dinner. The one non-sushi “bite” was a Japanese steamed egg dish with baby scallops which was delicious. The selection of sushi wasn’t too adventurous (nothing moving!) so it’d be very approachable for anyone wanting to try omakase. The fish was fresh and tasty, but the winners for us were the duck foie gras, seared ahi toro (?), and king salmon. In my photos, we’re missing one of the 3-bites plates (we got too excited lol) and the last plate included a honey cake + toro hand roll which I’d already started eating! 🤣 Altogether I’d definitely recommend Makizushico for both omakase and sushi in general!

Definitely in the top 5 sushi joints in the metro area. The size of the rolls and nigiri were questionable in relation to the other top tier sushi restaurants in the area. The fish was fresh, but I feel like their selection is missing some typical Japanese choices. Service and desserts were excellent!

First impression was definitely terrible. We almost walked out. The waiter, Will, did not meet us with a greeting when we walked in. Instead, Will met us at the door with "do you have a reservation?" We said no in confusion, and Will made this huge deal saying we only had one hour to eat and he was completely rude. I get it if you're booked say that, but be polite about it, we would have left and went elsewhere. I looked at my husband saying let's leave, just because I don't appreciate being judged as soon as we walk into the door. Will checked on every table and chatted with them, but not our table. I'm not sure if he thought we looked poor, we happened to be in town which is rare, we live an hour out on a farm. If not that, if Will had an issue because we had our infant with us, either way I did not appreciate it. Brenden ended up being our server, thank goodness. Brenden was awesome, we were able to chat with him and he changed our whole experience! I'm very thankful Brenden was our server. I mostly let Brenden choose our rolls, and he did not disappoint. Everything we had was very fresh and delicious. I am a sushi snob and this is one of the best sushi places I've had in Colorado. I would recommend this place to everyone. We will most certainly come back as long as Brenden is our waiter.
My husband and I joked the whole time we were there as well, because 4 tables remained open the whole time we were there. Hopefully the manager talks to Will because he sucks. I hope the 25% tip we left only goes to Brenden.

Hands down, the best sushi in the area. Excellent service, quality is always amazing. The sushi deluxe gives you a great variety and reasonable price.

Best Sushi experience we have ever had! I forgot to get our servers name but she was so personable, attentive and made great recommendations. Bluefin was to die for. Taco was not chewy and had a very clean flavor… clearly everything was very fresh. We tried the Wagyu roll or something different and were not disappointed as it had incredible flavor! And definitely end your meal with the crêpe cake …not too sweet full of flavor…don’t share. Next time we go we will be sure to make a reservation. We will be back!

The chirashi bowl was surprising, not bad. The fish quality was fairly good and the atmosphere of the place was nice. The bar seating is slightly uncomfortable as the chairs are too low and require you to have a weird positioning when eating. Other than the seating being somewhat uncomfortable, the whole experience was quite pleasant.

The food was pretty good. But the service was very cold. The waiter had zero personality and looked pissed off, like he hated his job serving. I had to wait longer than normal for drinks, or my bill. The atmosphere was cold too. I don’t remember if there was any music of some sort , all I remember is that the space was quiet and dense. Although the food was good, I would not come back to this establishment again.

This place is a gem! The service was fantastic. The owners would come around the tables introducing themselves and were very friendly. The food was amazing at a decent price for sushi. The spicy edamame is a must get!! We also got 5 different sashimi sushi and a California roll. It was fresh tasting and delectable! We had a reservation, which seemed the best way to come here as they were busy. I would definitely recommend this place.

This is by far the best sushi restaurant in Denver I've come across with a cozy, fun atmosphere. The food is as authentic as ive had anywhere state side since traveling to Japan and experiencing their local fares. For us to have this available in Colorado is an absolute treat.

We love to eat here and the food is amazing, but the guy that was hosting tonight was not pleasant. He cut me off multiple times while speaking, and shook his head at us when we didn’t have a reservation. Granted, the website was down… so we had no idea we needed to make a reservation. Unfortunate interaction at a great place.

The only bad thing I have to say about this place, is that it's located in Littleton and 45 minutes from my house. Regardless, I would gladly make that drive daily if I could, this was hands down some of the best sushi I've had not only in Denver, but in the US. We ordered the Omakase, there was an $80, $100, and $120 option, and we chose the later. The fish was exquisite, even the mackerel, which is a relatively fishy fish, was clean and melt in your mouth buttery. Each piece of Sushi was artfully prepared, simple but full of flavor. Some of the highlights were the Japanese mackerel, red snapper, and king salmon. The sushi chefs were friendly and did shots of sake with us, and accommodated any requests we had. Our Server was Hailey, and she too, was friendly and helpful, and even though this was place was packed, she was hustling to get every table their orders, in fact all the servers were. Do not pass up this restaurant, it is 100% worth the drive if you're on another side of town, and if you're not, why aren't you there already!

Our new favorite sushi place in Denver. Sushi Den use to be our goto spot for sushi, but this place blew our minds. We felt right at home with this restaurant.
Quality of fish is excellent, one of the best I ever had. King salmon and bluefin tuna just melts in your mouth. Hokkaido uni also excellent. One of the chef was walking around offering free sake shots and making sure everyone was having a good time.
Very fast service, and I mean very very fast, even with a full house on valentine's day all of our orders came within minutes of ordering them.
Truly appreciate the great service from our waiter and the chefs that prepared our dinner. 100% will recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family and will be coming back real soon.

My husband and I came here this past weekend and treated ourselves to the $120 omakase to celebrate our anniversary. I am not exaggerating when I say that this restaurant has changed my life. I have never had a more profound culinary experience and nothing in my life can come close to how exceptionally exquisite each course was. The attached photo with this review was the piece that literally changed my brain chemistry forever. Figure out whatever you need to do to experience this, just get here and try it and you will never be the same again. We will be back for round two in the near future.

Whole thing was my best sushi experience in my 4 years in the denver metro!! Jay was so kind and shared a saké shot with us and we got to ask him how he got started in sushi. Will was our server and he was so great! We order a haul of sushi and appetizers and there wasn’t a single thing I wouldn’t order again. Definitely will recommend to friends and come back in the future. So worth the drive from downtown if you don’t live in the area.

I have been introducing friends to this amazing sushi place since it opened in 2020. This place changed the way I do sushi, I only order "Omakase" (essentially chefs choice) because of how amazing my first omakase experience here was. Better than Sushi Den, better than Hapa, hands down

This was hands down the best sushi I have EVER had. Not only was the food absolutely incredible but the service and atmosphere matched perfectly. Our server Brendan was phenomenal and he not only was friendly and polite but made sure that we had a good experience. It was either the manager or owner who came over to check on us and after learning it was our first time went above and beyond to make sure it was a successful first visit! If you can I highly recommend the Omakase! I could write paragraphs about this place because it is truly that great. 100% will be back asking for Brendan and I can’t wait to have this sushi again! 6/5 hands down.

Makizushico is truly my sushi haven in Colorado, a place my partner knows will brighten my day. 🥰
The Uni preparation here is, hands down, my absolute favorite. The omakase experience is like a mini escape—allowing me to just sit back, unwind, and let the talented sushi chef do their thing, so I can relish every unique flavor to the best of my ability.
I find the best time to enjoy the omakase experience is during off-peak hours (between 2-4 pm, preferably on weekdays, though we’ve been lucky on some weekends).
Sitting at the bar adds a special touch, giving us a chance to chat with the chef and learn more about the delightful ingredients.

We had high hopes for our dining experience at Makizushico, especially with our 5:15 PM reservation. Upon arrival, we were greeted and seated promptly, which was a good start. However, our initial impressions quickly diminished.
After being seated, we found ourselves waiting for almost 15 minutes without any attention from the staff. This was particularly noticeable as we observed a waiter attentively servicing the tables to our left and right. It was disheartening to see other patrons receiving prompt service while we were completely overlooked.
The lack of attention was not just a minor oversight but rather a significant neglect. It’s important for a restaurant to make all guests feel welcome and attended to, but unfortunately, Makizushico failed in this basic aspect of hospitality.
Ultimately, after a 15-minute wait without any interaction from the staff, we decided to leave. It was a disappointing experience, especially since we were looking forward to enjoying what we had heard was excellent sushi.
In summary, while I cannot comment on the food's quality, the service (or lack thereof) was a significant letdown. A restaurant experience is not just about the food but also about how customers are treated, and in this case, Makizushico fell short. We hope this was an isolated incident and not reflective of their usual standard of service.

Will is amazing, Mark is amazing, and guess what?! The rest of the staff are also stellar. Oh, by the way the food, and the atmosphere are off the hook! I have been to many sushi restaurants in my day, and this place is a true gem. No disrespect to Chef Nobu but I would go here over Matsuhisa any day. No mortal deserves this good of food and service, but we are glad and thankful that we can taste a piece of heaven in this beautiful place.

Tonight I tried Makizushico for the first time and I am AMAZED. I paid $35 (includes taxes and tip) for 8 pieces of nigiri take out. For this price, I expected very simple sushi. But the sushi I received was INCREDIBLE. Fantastic rice, fresh fish, and great garnish. And they paid close attention to my request for no wasabi. I truly appreciate that. Great restaurant!! 100x better than Sushi Den!

Was too busy enjoying a 19 course omakase to actually take any good photos. They have 3 levels of omakase (chef’s selection meal) - $80, $100, and $120. More food and better quality as you go up in price. This was my wife’s first sushi in about 10 months since having our first kiddo, so we splurged for the $120. We were not disappointed. Although I didn’t understand 80% of what we were eating (very thick Japanese accent from our server), I know we got some delicious escolar, king salmon, salmon belly, Spanish mackerel, sea urchin, foie gras, wagyu, and a scrumptious honey mochi type cake to finish. All in all it was 19 pieces ! Service was fantastic. One of our servers took 3 different complimentary sake shots with us since it was our first time there! Loved everything about this place and will certainly be back!

We came in for dinner and had the 15 piece Omakase - it was to die for. Honestly can’t believe this restaurant is in Denver, felt like I was in LA or New York. Owner is great, checked in on us through your meal. Our service was outstanding too. We also had some wine and dessert. 10/10 recommend and we will be back!

This is not only the best omakase in Denver area…..it’s probably my top 3 in USA. This is NYC or LA quality omakase for a bargain price and the quality is just as good. The service is always incredible. Can’t recommend this place enough. Everything is delicious! If you haven’t been this is a must visit restaurant. I guarantee you will return.

New fave sushi spot! Everything was delicious, and the gyoza is a must have. Can't believe how reasonably priced this place is- the sushi was fresh and high quality. The ambience and service is great too, we will definitely be returning. Yum!

My wife and I were traveling from California to Denver and we just randomly stopped by Makizushico for dinner. What we experienced here is well beyond our expectation. We ordered the omakase and it tasted so good! Food was also served fast and the waiter/waitress are both humorous and welcoming . Will definitely come again if we are in Denver in the future!

Wow! Colorado sub-urban sushi spot, highly recommend it. Easy parking, no stress, no need to go into Denver. Fish is prep well, soft, melts in your mouth, temp of fish was great. Owner, partners, and staff all amazing.

Finally tried it in view of the good reviews for the Omakase. We ordered their $120 top-tier offering and while it was good, nothing really stood out. The selection of fish was interesting (including some I hadn't had before), and the quality of the fish was very good and what you would expect from a good sushi restaurant. The Omakase was mostly sushi (which was fine), but the pieces of sushi were probably the smallest that I have ever seen at any sushi restaurant. Larger versus smaller pieces are a matter of personal preference, so that might not matter to some, but these pieces were really small in my experience. Also several of the pieces were seared with a blow torch which give it that gassy, smoky smell and flavor (which I don't care for, but that is a personal preference again). Also, the sushi bar where we sat had stains (looked like spilled and dried up Shoyu which means they didn't even do a quick wipe-down of the bar which is not what you want to see when eating raw fish). Maybe that was just a one-off, so I don't know if that is a persistent issue. The staff was otherwise attentive and cleaned it up when we pointed it out. Overall, when viewed in terms of the price, the top-tier Omakase was decent/good (gave it 4 stars overall), but we will probably not be going back. There are definitely some other sushi places that I would rather drop $120 per person at. Give it a try though, as some of my issues were more related to personal taste/preference.

This is a locals sushi joint... which, who knew that existed?! Anyways, great meal! Fresh... really fresh... Stupidly fresh! Why this place doesn't have the same reputation as Sushi DEN is beyond me... in my opinion it's better.
