We take reservations by phone for parties of 5 or more. We recommend making reservations a day in advance when possible. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Delivery via Door Dash. Carry-out available.
We really enjoyed coming here. The sushi was very good! We came with our two school aged children. The children’s menu was very satisfactory. Our child who likes sushi was able to get the California roll and our other child who is unsure of sushi got mini corndogs with fries. We got the edimame for appetizer, which was a crowd favorite and our meals all came with miso soup and a picked salad. We were already getting full before the main came. My husband and I shared the Sushi boat. It was very good and plenty for the two of us to share and for the kids to have little tastes as well. The kids meals finished off with ice cream. Amazing! The waitress was very kind and helpful. We liked the atmosphere to where if you want to go on a nice date you can, however if you come with kids you don’t feel like outcasts. The kids are cared for. Finally, they have “fun chops” for the kids to put on their chopsticks so they can have assistance but still be encouraged to use them. What a wonderful evening!

This was our time at Suehiro. The restaurant is nice, and hostess was very kind.
We were seated and our waiter came up to us to get our order for drinks. He very much seemed as if he had no interest in being there. After our drinks came, he brought out diced cucumbers and a bowl of soup for each of us. He sat them down and walked away. As I said, this was our first time in a sushi restaurant. We had no idea what this was or what to do with it. It was only by asking a family member that we figured it out.
We ordered appetizers and asked for forks. I’m not even going to pretend like we’re coordinated enough for chop sticks. Our waiter said “no problem” but never brought them. I had to go ask the hostess.
We ordered our food and it was good. I usually don’t care for sushi but I did enjoy the roll that I chose.
During our meal, our waiter stopped by once. We had to ask for refills for drinks, even as he was standing at the table.
While food was ok, I don’t believe we will be back. Our experience with our waiter definitely affected our perception of the restaurant and the food wasn’t good enough to warrant a return trip.

Did a carry out sushi and sashimi order.
The server on the phone was very polite, helpful and friendly.
I was able to schedule my order to be fresh and ready for the time I needed.
Everything was newly made, beautifully boxed, and completely accurate.
The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and the servers and chefs made the pick up easy and fast.
Food was excellent.

Suehiro Japanese Restaurant is a great option for anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Japanese meal in Fort Collins. The food is fresh and flavorful, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience.

My husband and I have been patrons of Suehiro ever since it was downtown. Yeah, sure there have been some changes over the years, but after our meal Monday night, we were again reminded why we love it so much. Excellent service, friendly staff, and the food was simply amazing! We have tried a couple other places in town, including the new hotness in old town, and nope, we are die hard Suehiro fans!
Ps…if you’ve never tried it, get the Hamachi Kama…you won’t regret it!

For a more upscale restaurant, the service was terrible. Waited a long time for a server to show up, to return and take the order. Couldn't get an iced tea refill after 3 requests to the server. Server didn't check if things were correct.

This is one of our favorite places to go at least 2 times a month and have never had an issue with service or the food. Unfortunately tonight was one of the worst experiences. We arrived at 7:40 and was immediately seated by hostess. We then had to wait 20-25 min to finally have a waitress, in which had to be reminded by the hostess multiple times and argue about who's table it was (when we were the only table) Alyssa c finally took our order which took 30-35 min to come to receive. just to find out it was only for one person of our two people table, waitress then argued about the order and had to go fact check herself just to see that I did also order food. Luckily the gentleman making the sushi hurried to complete the order. The food was finally was handed to me after a full hour of waiting. The waitress then tried to rush us out the door and to pay the bill with no apologies. Thank you to the hostess and the guys behind the counter. Maybe you guys should consider who you have for customer service or have a meeting with alyssa c I don't think she's a good representative for the restaurant.

Dairy and gluten free options- Yes.
The sushi is great, the edamame is delicious, highly recommend, remember to ask for it gluten free.
The service here was very good as we had a large group that was rather needy, but our server remained friendly and playful and attentive.
The biggest plus is that they have gluten free tempura. If you like tempura, this is a a great option.

I never write reviews ever, specially not bad ones, so for me to go out of my way to write one is saying a lot. I was extremely excited to try the food I ordered from here. I got the dynamite bowl, and the Katsudon. The food wasn’t that good, but the reason I’m writing the review is because of how sick it left me an hour after eating barely a few bites of both. Left me puking and my stomach aching, and it still is. I’ve tried so many Japanese/asian restaurants in Loveland/Fort Collins and none seem to be any good, this was definitely the worst I’ve tried. Disappointed.

Being a person who has worked off tips, I feel bad about doing this. I did not leave a tip last night because how bad the service was. We sat for a long time before getting our drinks and then the food took almost an hour to come out. I could understand if they were busy. But there was more staff than there was customers. I watched staff on their phones, others just standing around talking and one guy eating food where they prepare food which is disgusting. I would not recommend this place at all.

My wife and I had never been here prior to yesterday and decided to go.
It started out a bit bumpy. We walked in, restaurant was probably 50% of capacity. Not too bad at all.
We were greeted by a young gal behind the bar saying the hostess would be there shortly, well…shortly became longer than expected, then another gal from behind the bar repeated the first, still waited, and now a server came up and repeated it again.
We were literally ready to just walk out when (I’m assuming) a manager came out and asked if we’d been helped. She could see the frustration on my face.
She sat us immediately, while doing so the actual hostess decided to make an appearance.
It was all uphill from there. Our server Issac was very attentive and helpful.
Will go back.

Ya know I went a couple years ago and it was so delicious. Top notch food , quick service and unforgettable experience. I recently just went and the food actually made me sick the next day. We waited at the door for a while before anyone even told us someone would be with us, at this point it took another couple minutes to get us situated. The wait for the food was insane! And when it came out , my children's teriyaki chicken was cold already and by the time they finished and we are talking kids! Our food still had not came out. Over all terrible experience this time aorund.

had to wait 15 I'm when told 5 but was with the wait! cucumber salad and miso soup really good. table had yakisoba chicken, tempura veggies and shrimp, and a sushi roll. tempura veggies were good but some of the veggies would have been better had they been sliced thinner. the yakisoba was ok but it was honestly pretty tasteless with no sauce. when I reheat the leftovers (not sushi, I'm not a monster) I'll try to add a bit more life to it.
but overall still a good experience and would return and try additional thing!

The food is pretty good and there is a wide selection to choose from. I had the teriyaki beef, which was very good! All the meals come with miso soup and a mall cucumber salad. There are several sushi rolls to choose from and came out delicious. The restraunt has plenty of parking nearby and we did not have to wait to be seated. The atmosphere is a bit bland and generic feeling. I miss the Suehiro feeling from the old Fort Collins restraunt. I wish the menu had pictures to help choose. Menu items are on the pricy end for what you are getting.

Loved this sushi place! We had a gyoza, a Blackened Lime sushi roll, a Golden Dragon roll, and a Chicken Katzu. I personally didn't like the blackened lime but my husband loved it. I thought the bits of lime were too bitter. Combine the butter with the wasabi and it was too much for me. The golden dragon was tasty though!
The Katzu wasn't what we expected as it was served much differently than we've had elsewhere. But it was good! It was a piece of breaded chicken served over cabbage with rice and sauce served on the side. The sauce was the best part; it was amazing.
The gyoza was pretty standard, but good.
Service was great. Our server and hostess and the other employees were all very nice and welcoming. This was our first time visiting and they made sure we knew how things worked. We came just before the dinner rush, about 5pm, so we had no problem getting a table.
The food and company was so good that I forgot to take pictures. Next time!

I love this place so much and have been coming for over 10 years…. The food is great but the staff and cleanliness needs some work. The bathrooms are so dark and look like they havnt been maintenance or redone in 20 years. The staff has some really good employees but for the most part they are often lost or just standing around talking. Each time I come in I’ll just sit at the bar because otherwise you will stand there looking at a confused host for 10 min. Like I said I’m obsessed with the food so I come back but I definitely have to come at certain times.

Came in the door and was immediately greeted by a horrible smell. Waited 10 minutes to be seated there were only 2 other tables. Ordered gyoza and chicken yakisoba. Noticed bugs on our table. My yakisoba came out horrible, my noodles tasted moldy. my family had finished their food before the server came back (about 35 minutes) but when he came back I told him the issue and he offered to exchange it for something else or to take it off my bill. I have a video of the bugs but it won’t let me upload a video

Made it back after years, was sadly disappointed as I use to love Suehiro. What I believe was the head manager of at least Sushi bar was sitting at the sushi bar drinking and telling everyone what to do, maybe on break but was unprofessional. The super chill fell apart and was impossible to eat as they were on skewers and spun upside down and everything fell off. As always sitting at the sushi bar is awkward and usually you have a waitress to get you menu items and the sushi chefs just work on sushi. Nope no waitress checked on us only walked by. Finally had to ask the sushi chefs if we get miso soup or if it is extra, followed by oh you didn't get your soup yet. Then the people next to us got theirs served first. Water was never refilled and no dishes ever got cleared and menus never got picked up. So we just took over the sushi bar taking up 4 spaces instead of 2. Soy sauce was extremely salty and I eat a lot of sushi. This is not the Suehiro I remember.

Usually our 'go to' place for sushi/seafood, but it may be going downhill.
The service was very poor and slow - we got out Nigiri appetizers after our dinners arrived. Not good.
The salmon in our Bento combo was dry, overcooked, and blech. Even the soup and salad, which used to be great, were mundane - not sure what has changed here, but we won't be back for awhile.
Not worth our $100!

Way overpriced for the quality and quantity. I've had better gas station sushi for a 10th of the cost, plus they also messed up my order and didn't follow the instructions at all. The amount of filling in the sushi was a joke, mainly just stale rice

The food was terrible, I order the dynamite appetizer and the soup noodle. In the menu, it comes with seafood and when I asked the girl she just said just salmon. The salmon was so dry, the soup just so bad that I can’t eat at all. I never too picky with the food but this is waste of money. Smelling fishy, not clean, I can see it on the table and glass of water.

We love this place. They are always so nice and so good about gluten free.
So, story, we have a disabled dog. She can’t walk super well, but we like to be able to have her with us. Today we came in and asked if we could bring our dog onto the patio and the head chef/manager was so kind to us. Our girl had a nice shady stop right under our table.
Thanks so much.

The staff at the sushi bar was loud and rambunctious making for a less than relaxing environment. What a shame.

Yuck. My husband and I attempted to have lunch here on 6/11 (my birthday) and ended up walking out. We were hit with a strong fishy odor when we walked in which was not a good sign. The waitress sat us at a table next to the window and it was absolutely filthy. Several rings from drink and soy sauce across the table, possibly stains? We opened the menu and it was caked with old rice and sesame seeds. At this point we were so disgusted by the filthy, sticky and smelly restaurant that we got up and left.
This place needs to close for a week of deep cleaning. If this is how dirty the front of the house is, I can't imagine what the kitchen looks like.

What happened?!?! We have been going to Suehiro for 20 years. Followed them from the old downtown location to the Council tree area. We went there for lunch and walked into a rundown fishy odor dining experience. The dynamite special tasted like cat food (a dish we’ve enjoyed there for years) cucumber salad mushy without flavor, and edamame was cold with clumps of salt. The service was slooooow…15 mins to get drinks, 30 mins to get soup and cucumber salad, a full hour to get our rolls. Service was lackluster even though there were only 3 tables being served in the entire place. Luckily, the rolls were still decent but overall experience is nothing like we remember and not worth the price. Will be looking for a new sushi restaurant as our go-to.

We arrived at 11AM when they open. Ordered drinks and food immediately. Only one other table with 4 people in the restaurant. Our waiter was fantastic and got our order in at 11:05. We got our salad and soup quickly. Then waited until 11:30 for my food and 11:45 for my wife’s bowl of Dynamite soup. The kitchen staff obviously was not ready for any customers to come in at opening. Our waiter was waiting at the kitchen door for the kitchen staff to do their job and brought us her soup as soon as it was done. Not impressed with kitchen staff service. 45 minutes for a bowl of soup with 6 people in the restaurant??

This has been my favorite place for sushi for the past 3 years that I’ve lived in Fort Collins. I’ve actually never tried another place because this was go-to. At one point we came in 2-3 times a week because we were introducing our friends here. I’m not sure what has happened recently but the service has gone down hill. My boyfriend always orders his sushi with a heat level of 4x… not once but 2 times the server has gotten mine and his confused and they gave me the 4x. I can’t handle much heat, I ended up having horrible anxiety that almost lead to a panic attack. At that point we decided to stop coming here. We finally came again and the service was terrible. We got our soup & salad after about 15-20 min of sitting there after putting in our sushi order. The host had to bring it and she said she was helping our waiter out. Our edamame was over cooked, I ordered a drink and the waiter forgot to put it because after I asked the host about it, I seen it go through the bar printer. Then they brought 2 of the 3 rolls and said one would be coming out shortly, almost 20 minutes later I finally go tell another waitress to take it off my ticket because I didn’t see my waiter since he last brought my drink. Then he brought it to our table.. but at that time we had to ask for it to go. I believe the manger was drinking on his shift, I thought he was a customer but then shortly realized he was a chef because very loud and clear he fired one of the chefs to where everybody could hear it. That should have definitely been done in private. The entire sushi bar was filled with clients because for some reason they were not setting anybody past the middle host stand for the last 45 minutes we were there. I noticed they were cleaning the floor (somebody must have split something) but the table was nearly dirty from the time we got there until after we left.
I don’t know what has happened to this place, but I know I won’t be returning

First visit was great, second visit a little less desirable. We were seated in the far back of the restaurant, with little to no lighting, very hard to read the menu. The yellow tail sushi I had was a bit fishy tasting. Sushi should not be fishy tasting. Didn't care for the pork egg rolls that came with the bento box. Wish they would put candles on the tables or turn up the lights in the restaurant.

Worst service! Two hours for two rolls. There were only two other tables seated. Staff was rude and ignored us from the time we walked in. This used to be a great place! Sad to see what happened to my favorite sushi place. Will not go back.

We eat here a couple of times a month. We love the variety on the menu and the fun drinks. The staff is always friendly. Even take out is worth it!

Service was very bad. Waitress couldn't recommend any items on the menu. Salad and soup never arrived. Waitress finally realized she forgot and everything came at once. Drinks were wrong, or just never delivered.

This restaurant is a Fort Collins staple. I have been visiting and enjoying the cuisine for years now. I originally began dining at Suehiro in Old Town Fort Collins in the Mod 2000s and continued through the expansion and then concentrated again. The dynamite lunch is a "go-to" favorite even for a person who is not big on mayonnaise. Expect dining at this facility to be a leisurely experience. Being one of the most popular places in town, they are frequently backed up with orders both to go and on-site. The food is yummy and the ambiance is ok. Sitting at the sushi bar is always a treat.

Has changed since we were there. Sushi not as fresh, tempura not crispy. Wait staff was great !,, but it can't makeup for marginal, over priced , smaller portions.

My husband and I had dinner here tonight and I wanted to put in 5 stars for our waiter, Nick D. He made us feel that he was genuinely wanting us to have an enjoyable experience at their restaurant. And even though it was quite busy, he made it a point to check in on us several times, joked with us, and kept us updated on where things were at with our order and when we could expect him to check in again. Thank you!
(Also, the salmon nigiri is always great here. 😉)

It took an hour and a half for food to be ready so we actually got up to pay for our kid's food and leave. As we were trying to leave, they brought out the food packaged up (we had requested this a while back since we were just ready to go home). We got home and the rolls were overall terrible and seemed like they had been sitting out for a while, very dry, stale and lots of browning on the avocado. We only live a few minutes away from the restaurant so I don't think having it packaged to go was the issue. And we spent so much money😔.Not coming back!

Picture this. You sister - Morgan - leaving her work. It her lunch break. She suggest Indian food. Indian food place crowded - and close soon! So instead you saying you wanna go to that place over there? It’s so hot outside.
CUT TO - me and my sister eating at this place. Suehiro. Very good! I ordered the Nabeyaki Udon - you get a nice udon and tempura and egg in you soup. My sister got some rolls. Very happy with experience. My sister said that the bathrooms were very nice, I was in a rush so I didn’t get a chance to check it out. The server and every one was also very nice.

BEST sushi chefs east of California!
Fresh, fresh groceries. Can't go wrong on any item in the menu.
Ask for Jeremy. He gives 5 star service along with a glowing, positive attitude. The chefs are very accommodating to special orders.
My autistic brother, just wanted a steak and not only did they accommodate him, the steak was perfectly cooked and quality meat.
Not only do I highly recommend this restaurant, but it's the ONLY Japanese restaurant that I go to in Fort Collins and/or Loveland.
My brother added to this review that their's always someone better, but not in the state of Colorado.

Our meal took so long to come out and by the time it came it was incorrect. I was given something completely different and because of dietary restrictions couldn't eat it. They eventually brought me my food but without the sauce and sides that came with it and my tempura was rather soggy when the waiter came back with the sauce. The waiter was nice but wasn't very available since they seemed under staffed. I paid full price for meal I couldn't eat.🙁

Simply put, the worst sushi and sashimi we've ever had. Ignorantly prepared and shockingly poor quality fish - our party of 6 unanimously agreed it was a bad meal. Tempura shrimp and veggies were decent and our server, Jesse, was great, but will tell friends to avoid Suehiro.

We visited this place during what was an obviously stressful time for the staff, as they were short a few essential people. Throughout the entire experience, the staff were extremely attentive and apologetic for any wait times. We saw quite a few people get upset and leave after a short wait and I can only imagine that they are the types to leave these 1 star reviews.
Despite the circumstances, we never had an empty table due to the quick service of our waitress, hosts, and bartender. We were surprised and excited by the portion size of each serving and thoroughly enjoyed each bite. I typically do not like fish, but I ate an entire serving of sushi rolls. The pork katsudon was also great and very filling.
I'd highly recommend that anyone looking for some good sushi or Japanese dining give this place a shot!

The staff was beyond attentive to us on a busy Sunday night! My dad and I have come here a couple times now and Brandon and the other sushi chefs at the bar are amazing! Brandon is by far excellent in his craft and his service! We appreciate you Brandon!

Customer service was atrocious and I was only there for order pick up.. Waited 10 minutes before I had to approach an employee to ask if there was anybody to help. And then waited another 30 minutes after scheduled pick up time. Quite a few folks behind counter but no one bothered to look up or offer me a glass of water while I waited. Felt very brushed off and not at all appreciated as a paying customer.(this is not the 1st time and has become their “MO” hence this review. I generally tip 15 to 20% for pick up since I’m not eating in, but not if this is the treatment. Acting manager had no idea how to help the situation. I spent a lot of money at this restaurant during COVID restrictions to help them, but why? Seriously, Suehiro?!

Use to come here pre Covid and it was amazing. However the last two visits have been horrible. Bad waiting staff and food is slow coming out and isn’t as good. Tables are dirty. I will not return

In a short period of time I went from recommending this place to everyone I know, because it truly was the best in town, to never wanting to eat there again. Service and quality has tanked. I miss the days when Mick was rolling the rolls behind the sushi bar. It is still the best miso soup around, so there is that!

Great sushi place lots of options for rolls and other Japanese dishes. Nice outdoor patio seating. Service is good and plenty of parking. A bit expensive for sure but the quality is worthy.

Called 10 min before we got there for a table. Was told 40 min wait inside and no wait on the patio. Showed up and saw 6-7 tables on the patio unseated. Went inside to sit outside was told they were not seating anyone else outside, could not put name on the list to wait and to come back in 20/30 min to check again. Went to NORI instead…good choice. This used to be our favorite place…

Food is ok. Average 🍣 spot. Service was so so. It seemed like sometimes we were burdening the server with our requests.

"worst dining experience of my life" -my wife. we wandered in on 7/2/22, and ordered the Sushi Boat, we should have known something was wrong when we were served a sad bowl of wilted, tasteless cucumber salad. We waited it out figuring it was a fluke, and were met with grainy tuna sashimi, chewy shrimp, inedible octopus (literally we couldn't even chew it), a cheese like slab of a questionable substance served like sashimi, and what looked like a stick of imitation crab served like sashimi. First and last time we will go here.
