I'm never disappointed when I come here. Most recently, I tried the dynamite roll and the hamachi sushi. SO good! The only downside is they use imitation crab, so minutes one star, but otherwise the food is great and the service is prompt and friendly, especially during lunch. Their tempura veggies are also really good.

Food was great, bathroom could have contracted hepatitis and service was horrible. Asked to leave because my daughter was crying mid meal and other customers were complaining. We came at 3 when no one was there. "Corporate guy" had no sympathy and tried to gaslight why saying we weren't asked to leave and they want to create a good eating experience for the customers. Well I am a paying customer too and you claim to be kid friendly. Never going to this establishment again.

Stopped by here to use the supercharger and needed some lunch. Inside was very pretty. However, the server seemed to be having an off day (but dont we all have those) however other reviews mention great service so perhaps this is just an edge case.

Food is not the most authentic japanese food but it will get the job done. Menu features the classic american-japanese style foods such as teriyaki, ramen and sushi rolls. We got the sukiyaki and teriyaki chicken. Portions are very generous. However, the chicken was quite dry and the sukiyaki a bit too sweet for my liking.

Sushi bar was not as clean as sushi bars usually are. Sushi chef put gloves on but then answered his phone with same gloves. Also wiped the counter with same gloves. We were the only customers at the sushi bar on a Saturday night. Rice was stale, not soft at all. Hostess and waiter were friendly and attentive. Salmon sushi was good, hamachi so-so, and albacore did not taste fresh. I gave mine to my husband. Will not be going back.

I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the service was slow, despite the dining room being mostly empty. I also found bones in my salmon sushi, one large enough to have easily caused harm had I swallowed it. Definitely not the best experience.

I never make reviews, but this was a disappointing experience. I understand they may have just been understaffed for the day, but I felt like I was being actively ignored. Every other table was being catered to, but mine. While this could be that I was further back from everyone else, it didn't make the experience any better. Now, the biggest disappointment was the portion sizes. I ordered a tuna cut roll, which looked like a kid size version. I've been to many, many sushi places and my jaw hasn't never dropped like it did when I saw my plate. The salmon roll wasn't what I was expecting either, which was unfortunate. For the price, which was almost $9, the cut rolls are lacking significantly. Especially since the quality of the fish wasn't the best. I won't be back here, but I appreciate the attention to detail in the menu and dining layout. I could've just come on a bad day, but this was my experience, and I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.

To those who enjoy this place, I'm so happy you do! I'm not trying to tear this place down, but my experience wasn't great and I thought I'd share it.

I've been a few times with my husband and MIL, and I've never had a bad experience! The restaurant is clean and well-maintained. Service is great and the food never disappoints! We always get sushi, and I've only disliked a couple rolls that we've tried. There is definitely something for everyone, including yummy vegetarian options. It's a little pricey, but not any more than is to be expected for sushi. Lunch time is pretty slow, which is nice. Definitely recommend this place!

I bought a platter good for 4-6 people paid $70 plus tax and it was a big mistake the food was already cold when i picked it up. I called them prior to picking it up because they said its a lot of food to prepare and it will take an hour to be ready. Chicken teriyaki barbecue and beef kalbi is dry. Will never go buy pick up again to this place.

Be careful when you order from here, I ordered rolls from this restaurant few times time and I got rolls with processed fish, it was not fresh and it smelled and tasted really weird and so bad. When it happened first time I was thinking it might have been accident, but it keeps happening and we get processed and old rolls when we order online. I made an order on DoorDash but when we arrived to pick it up it turned out that they just didn’t do it because it was time to close. Order wasn’t canceled by them, there wasn’t any notification at DoorDash that they are closing soon. So they just left us without dinner.
Maybe your food is good, I don’t know. Your service never gave me a chance to try it. Disappointed

Food used to be real good; however, it's just horrible now. Soft shell crab was burned to hell. Whoever decided to serve it rather than tossing it in the trash should be fired. Our sushi roll had crab salad you just knew was spoiled because it smelled too fishy and tasted nasty. They just don't seem to have any quality control over what is served.

We hadn't been here in a couple of years, but the recent visit was disappointing. They seat way more people than they have servers, which is unfair to the customers and the servers. However, even at a basic level, a server should be able to look at your table once in a while to see if you need anything. We sat for twenty-five minutes, with empty drinks and empty food plates. We were going to order more rolls before that happened, but by then, we were done with the place, asked for the check, and left. Won't go again.

I've been to this Kubiki 3 times now and every time the hostess was rude and the waitresses awful. Today was the last time. The hostess literally would not smile or speak. I sat at the sushi bar without a word being spoken to me and hoped a waitress would come but never happened. The management of this restaurant is obviously incompetent. Since it was the same awful service three times in a row it's the boss that's the problem.

First time at Kabuki and will return. Had great lunch specials. I had the teriyaki beef and chicken and it was excellent. $16 with soup, salad and rice. Also had some rolls that were excellent as well. Our server was Ilene and if you have her you’ll be so lucky. She was excellent and took extremely good care of us. If you’re looking for great food, a comfortable environment and excellent service, this is the place!

We ordered the dinner sushi combo to split because it came with 10 pieces plus spicy tuna roll as it was a better value than the lunch special. Well, the spicy tuna roll was none like I'd ever seen before in all my 30+ years of eating sushi! The filling was a salmon colored mush instead of dark red semi chunky! Yuck! When I questioned this, the server was quite condescending to me. I felt like telling him to go to any other place in town or even Sprouts! and see that it's never like this! I think what they did was mix the creamy sauce into the tuna instead of drizzleing on top. I personally don't like sauce. Also one of the "10 pieces of sushi" was a slice of avocado on rice. Avocado is NOT fish. A better value and quality would be getting supermarket take out than this place.

We were in the reasturant this evening, we were seated and waited for 15 minutes nobody came to serve.
My wife asked the receptionist that nobody had come ,she did nothing just said wait, and the worst part other couples came after us and were served and after 25 minutes nobody came so we left the reasturant. And nobody bothered.

We came in around 11:30am waited 15 mins, only one server on which was Wendy she was very sweet. Calamari was really over cooked gyōza was also not great. Maybe it was just an off day. We had the lunch special chicken and steak both cold chicken was very over cooked. Steak was ok nothing great about it, our ginseng ice tea had a very different taste to it almost like a spoiled taste.

The sushi rolls lacked creativity, mostly offering familiar options with minor variations like extra avocado or different sauces. I strongly recommend that the restaurant explores more inventive sushi options. Why? Because I can find similar dishes elsewhere for a fraction of the cost. While this place has great potential, the menu lacks the passion and creativity needed to stand out. I highly suggest requesting their outstanding wasabi-mayo and other sauces to enhance your meal since their sauces are a highlight.

The food was good, especially the hamachi, but this restaurant has poorly trained staff, especially for the front counter. Rather than focus completely on being on the phone and preparing the take-out orders, they need to provide service to customers who came into the restaurant. When my party walked in, they didn't greet us but told us to use the monitor to put ourselves on the waiting list. When I had to take my bill up to the counter, after waiting more than 15 minutes for the waiter to come take the credit card, I had to wait until the girls took calls and packed up pick-up orders. I think that this is the fault of the owner, as staff have not been trained properly and don't know what customer service is.

Restaurant was very nice inside with a pleasant atmosphere. Service was Rude at best. Happy Hour my friend ordered a Saki & supporo. They said happy hour small Saki. Ok. I ordered Ice tea FOR ME. To get a refill practically had to tackle a waiter. We sat at the Sushi bar. Instead of a place to pick up orders. They reached over our heads with everyone elses dishes. ASKED FOR A small SAKI AGAIN. Oh happy hour over a minute ago. Its more now. Mind you we could not get a waiter to come back or check on us.
But I said, Ok. Its more couLd we please get what the lady asked for. She ordered udon noodle soup. Got an odon noodle plate. Asked for some broth to go with it and a togo container. Oh broth cost extra. Ok. Quit telling me its extra or more and get what the lady asked for. Didn't say it to them but thought it. Really poor service. Had to ask for a second wasabi dish for the lady. Wasbi dish had enough WASABI I could eat it alone with a tiny tiny tea spoon. Guys confecting the sushi were to busy to ask for anything. Ordered 1 volcano role. Tempura ice cold, not like any volcano roll I had at any other sushi place. Horrible. Un palitable. Recomend Gold Fish Sushi In Palmdale. Worth the 30 mile drive.
When I order something do not tell me how much or extra as if I cannot afford it. What rude poor service. Food was a c- at best.
Never go there again.

My family and I stopped here over the weekend and we’re excited to try it. Now I went with my spouse and my 3 children one of which is a non-verbal autistic. It started off great but then we were approached by the host and he said can you please keep it down someone is complaining about your child can you stop him from yelling. Now I was caught off guard because for one my child was sitting next to me not running around or anything and he wasn’t yelling he was excited so always has a high pitch laugh. I was really bothered by the audacity of him actually coming to our table to tell us that. There was other families in there who were way louder then my sons occasional high pitch laugh. I was tempted to walk out but I wasn’t going to let someone discriminate and treat my son like he’s any less because he can’t voice his needs like others. I definitely will not go back to this restaurant. I do appreciate the waitress for coming to us and apologizing for what was asked of us she was very kind. To the couple that complained maybe you should stay home since you don’t like noise and seem to be bothered by the pettiest things in life.

Ordered 2 sesame chicken and onion ring. They were dry and no meat (or carbonated). Tasted like been in a deep fryer all day. We could not eat them. Complained to the waitress and returned the dishes to the waitress to show them to the chef. When asked later the waitress said (the chef said) they are normal. Celebrated my birthday at Kabuki in Santa Clarita with my bffs. We were not disappointed at all. The service we received from Ms. Wendy was excellent. She was very attentive to our need and kept making sure we were ok. She was very friendly and courteous and on top of things. Even gave me a birthday ice cream that was so yummy. The food was fresh and delicious. The mushroom miso was nice and hot! I loved it. It came in a big bowl too. Everything we ordered (yellowtail collar, nacho tuna with truffle, spicy tuna roll on soy paper was packed with spicy tuna, lobster roll, dragon roll, etc.) was all super yummy. We were happy campers when we left. We needed a nap after eating all the delicious food at kabuki. Thank you Ms. Wendy for making my birthday extra special for providing excellent service!

The food here is great don’t get me wrong. But the service here is absolutely horrible. Servers take forever to take your order and bring/pick up the bill. It’s annoying seeing your food up on the counter sitting there with no one coming to bring it to your table. Almost makes you want to get up and serve yourself. Servers also don’t check in on you to see if everything is okay or if costumers need anything. I’ve tried this place over and over thinking I just go on off days but it seems to be a regular occurrence.

I’m a regular for years and this place is going down. The service takes too long, the waiters don’t come back to see if you needed anything, they leave food orders waiting at the sushi bar as I watched the flies lay on the orders, the quality of the salmon is no longer fresh and I’m always having to ask the waiter to clean off the seats or under the table before seated. I wanted additional items but the waiter took too long to return.
So sad! This place use to be good food, good portion size and good service. The only good thing is the happy hour prices.

We had to wait 20 minutes for a table and then over 10 minutes for a server once seated. The server, although apologetic, did not know the menu resulting in having to change our original order twice. As we now sit for over 36 minutes since ordering, we are only now receiving food. So disappointing. Not even the dinner rush! Unfortunately, we choose this as a place to eat with our family to celebrate our 19th anniversary, which is again, disappointing. Regardless, our server did try to make things right providing us a free desert and a beer on the house which was appreciated.

Went here for lunch with my parents and had a wonderful time! Our server Katie (I believe) and the manager were lovely! We got the lunch specials (chicken teriyaki, beef teriyaki, shrimp & veggie tempura), all the lunch specials come with miso soup, salad & rice. HUGE portions for the price! Loved their takoyaki, the sauces were delicious. Lots of cocktails to choose from, the tiki tiki Shinjuku was recommended by Katie and was light and refreshing. California roll was good, tasted fresh. Love that their patio is dog friendly! Would recommend this place to anyone in the Valencia area :)

Delicious food, disappointing service! NOTE FOR OWNER: Your wait staff is asleep at the wheel. Not only were we frustrated waiting for condiments/drinks/attention, so were the surrounding tables. Restaurant occupancy was 30% at best tonight, so it wasn't a staffing issue. We paid $200 for 3 people, and the lack of attention and energy we received from the staff was a buzz-kill. You want your place known for being a fun night out, and this was a miss.

this place is a little overrated. the fried rice and tempura options are good.

if you want sushi though, go somewhere that focuses on quality sushi.

deliveries from here have gotten better but if you catch them on a bad day you'll be waiting 5x your quoted delivery time.

We used to enjoy coming here for dinner and happy hour, it used to be our favorite sushi place, but ever since the new management over all quality and service has diminished substantially. Atmosphere is filthy dirty with sticky table and seats…glasses had food stains..yuck! Our server’s name was Chauntea she was just plain RUDE! The dinner entree tasted horrible and the fish is definitely not FRESH at all. We will not be returning.

음식 맛은 평범한데 신선한 재료는 아닌듯 했어요.
웬디라는 서버가 너무 불친절해서 다시는 안갈듯해요. 일을 못하는건 이해하는데 불친절한건 용납이 안됩니다. 음식이 만들어져서 서빙하라고 올려져 있는데 한참을 기다려도 안가져다 줘서 서버한테 말했더니 쌩하고 다른테이블에 가버려서 옆에서 지켜보던 다른서버가 이해해달라는 제스처를 취하더라구요 손님도 별로 없었는데… 상식밖의 행동이라 기분 상해서 몇조각 안먹고 나왔습니다. 와사비랑 간장 같은 기본적인것도 안줘서 달라고 얘기를 해야 줬습니다. 엘에이 여행의 마지막 식사였는데 아쉽네요.
다른 서버들은 친절했고 식당분위기는 괜찮았어서 3점 남깁니다. 담당서버를 생각하면 1점도 아까워요ㅜ

It was pretty good. Service was on point and very very nice people work there. Our waitress asked us a couple times if we wanted refills , even though we said no she still made it a point every now and then to ask us if we were sure we didn't need more drinks, I thought that was nice, nobody ever does that. The Tonkotsu Ramen was ok the pork chatsu had grill marks which was different for me but it was good. But the basic shrimp roll was actually really good everything about that little roll was perfect the rice shrimp cucumber tasted fresh the teriyaki chicken and tempura plate was huge and really good, chicken was all white meat not dry at all cooked perfectly. Everything was really good. I would definitely go back to try other dishes. Last call to order anything is a half hour before closing which is cool. They seem to make everything fresh is probably why. All in all a good experience with nice employees. They did need some attention in the Mens restroom though no soap no paper towels even if it was a half hour before closing people still wash their hands Kabuki, especially after eating Sushi with your hands.

The front counter workers are really awful. They are rude, they are unprofessional, and they make people don't want to come back. They messed up our takeout orders every time. I have learned my lesson and will not be returning.

Never again. Food was marginal at best. First beer brought was slightly above room temperature. Our sever disappeared. Uni was burnt. Hibachi plate was not very good. Child's menu chicken was dry and very chewy he didn't even eat his dinner. We should have known better than to eat at a chain sushi restaurant. I will consider the money I wasted as an investment to keep myself from returning.

Went here last week for my buddy's b day.. honestly it was just sushi nothing special place was ok sushi was blah.. had some whitefish that looked a bit brown and some salmon not the worst but not the best either it was ok. Had a lava roll some fried calamari rainbow roll and a dynamite roll it was my buddys forst time having sushi i played it safe u didnt want to order all these rolls and him not liking it on a good note he enjoyed his first time also had the spice ramen again it was ok we didn't get sick so we're good lol I came from Palmdale just to try this spot I'll stay local next time!

We had Valentine's dinner at Kabuki in Valencia and the experience was "good" but not great.

I had a Kabuki Old Fashioned which on paper looked delicious, Whisky, Japanese black sugar...but in the glass it was no more special or distinctive than any other Old Fashioned I'd had. It was a blend of Maker's Mark Bourbon with a Japanese Whiskey. I like Maker's Mark but at a "high end" Japanese restaurant that I'm spending a lot of money on a cocktail for, go ahead and please use the nice Japanese Whiskey. Also the "Japanese Black Sugar" I was hoping would be a noticeable special ingredient and it was not.

That having been said we really liked what we ordered to eat. We're vegetarians and there was also a little bit of a disappointment that some vegetarian items on their website menu didn't seem to be present on the in-store menu. Still, we did have choices and our server let us know about one item that wasn't on the menu, a Crispy Tofu roll which was a vegetarian take on a crab-cake roll. It was good.

We also liked the "Green Roll." Nicely presented and tasted good too.

We also shared the Curry Rice Bowl...I was lucky enough to still have a memory of having curry in Japan and the taste of this definitely reminded me of that experience. That's part of what one can hope from food...that it'll transport you to another place in your memory. Eating good food luckily can be like traveling. That just about happened here with this curry dish.

We'll probably try other places before we come back, but we'd comeback.

My 12 year old begged us to go to this restaurant while we were in town from out of state. We agreed, thinking this would be a good addition to our Magic Mountain (6 Flags Theme Park) Trip.
My son had the "rainbow rolls" sample platter. The rest of us weren't as brave and ate teriyaki. By 11 pm that night, my 12 year old's food poisoning had kicked in. He had severe abdominal cramping, vomitting, diarrhea, a fever, and had to stay in bed the entire next day, missing the theme park.
What a miserable experience!
I called Kabuki's and was helped by a kind manager who told me Kabuki's took this seriously and I could expect a phone call from corporate in 48 hours. 9 days later and no phone call.
Ironically, while on hold, Kabuki's message says: "Visit Kabuki and we guarantee you will walk out hooked on our food. We make believers out of unbelievers that sushi is the next comfort food."
Hearing this message, while watching my son in his misery of food poisoning, would almost have been funny. Never receiving a phone call from Kabuki's afterward, even though others might be still at risk from the raw fish they continued to serve, was not funny at all.

The the worst food I've eaten in a long time horrible and when we send it back they brought it in that what they gave us was just as horrible for the first we had teriyaki chicken and teriyaki beef I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, I am not use to a restaurant that gives you plastic forks when the prices are on the high. The toilet or something overflowed all over the area and I just they were finally mopping it up the only thing that was nice is the waiter was very nice.

The waitress ask me the tip? It's not proper makers asking to the costumer if you did not get the nice serving. I ask the water, twice not even bring in until the 3rd finally brought to me. Dinner date with my hunnie was super fabulous!

I totally am ready to go back, less than a week later. YUM!

We ordered dumplings (AHH MAY ZING) to share! For me, mushroom miso soup, mojito, smelt roe roll, veggies roll, and an amazing specialty roll (I don't remember the name but it was sooo good and had spicy tuna)!!

My hunniel had beef yakisoba, hibachi rice, salad, and miso soup... he was a happy camper too. I wish we ordered some hiibachi rice to go!

Everything was really tasty and fresh....can't wait to go back!!

Clean space, unfortunately (more than likely due to COVID-19) they were out of a few things for what we'd tried to order. Waitstaff was pretty quick and hands-off (did not loiter at table and wasn't overly friendly, but gave us space and was to the point for ordering and answering questions). The sushi we did get was prepared nicely and served in a pretty manner. (Wish I had thought to take pictures.)

My wife and I went to share dinner. After waiting for 15 minutes with plenty of empty tables we were seated.
I won’t go into every moment so just get to it.
The place is filthy. The dishes, the menus, the seats, old food on silverware and plates.
The hot saki wasn’t hot at all.
Best just take a dump on the side walk out front and eat free meal. It’s not worth the time. Terrible.
