I heard a lot about this place. I was invited so I couldn’t pass up a freebie! Honestly I truly believe Xevichez Suchi Bar is overrated. The suchi was not too bad. Definitely better than my shrimp mix. The appetizers arrived after our main course. My meal was late arriving because they didn’t have enough cooks.
You’re better off going to an authentic establishment. I don’t recommend.

Worst Food ever. I tried to give it a chance, but no way! Food is warm and not hot, feels like frozen sushi and bowls. Only good thing in there was the Coca Cola. 🤦🏼‍♀️They don't have the sushi figured out yet, plus their prices are way overboard food that kind of food.

If I could leave no stars I would. The service is so slow it’s like a crawl. Then they literally bait and switch you. If you order the all you can eat for 29.95 p/p they don’t tell you that some of the sushi on the menu is $5 more per 5 orders, or a portion thereof. We had 12 orders of sushi and got charged $15 xtra. We had one person who was allergic to fish so we asked if they could order off the regular menu and we were told they could. But when the bill came, we got charged for the all u can eat price plus the food price, so it was almost $50 for a bowl of chx teriyaki And the chx is dark meat and fatty. They also made steak instead the first time and it took a half an hour to get the right order. Not worth it. Go to Kisho, or Kabuki where you can order off any menu you want.

Like many other patrons, we feel in love with Xevichez premium sushi during COVID. Their Sylmar location is the main hub, with their other 3 locations spread throughout the AV and SFV. We began coming to the Valencia location for the AYCE this year, and although customer service is a miss by far, we continued to come for the sushi. Last night, we went for AYCE dinner, and their rolls were horrible 😫. The fish tasted dated (not fresh), and the rolls were stale. This is very unlike them, and perhaps they were using old ingredients (assumption: to conserve cost), but again, customer service at this location is HORRIBLE! The servers are also the bussers, hosts, and runners. The issue is not the wait time (which can be several minutes before you see anyone again), but it's their attitude. They look very unhappy and very unprofessional. They stand at the front register and avoid their tables.

We stopped here because the website looked decent and we wanted good sushi. Our experience was as follows: we entered and were seated immediately during lunch and we were a party of 5. The music was loud and at one point was unedited notorious BIG which to me didn’t send sushi vibes. Other genres included Latin rap, also unedited and so loud we could not hear each other at our table. Our waiter was friendly and quickly took our drink order and returned promptly with our drinks. Refills did not happen however until late into our meal and we had to ask someone who was not our waiter as it appeared our waiter went on break, but we were never told. I ordered the crunch roll and it appears the cook burned the bottom of the panko crumbs and the roll was swimming in salty sauce. The roll also had no wasabi or ginger and was loosely rolled and at times fell apart. I also ordered a baked roll with crawfish and scallops. And it smelled like the ocean, and was clearly not fresh. To avoid food poisoning I avoided this roll and left it. After bringing our drinks our waiter came to take our order. My wife and and son ordered a chicken teriyaki bowl, which our waiter told us they were out of all chicken. This should have been the point where we left, and we had to decided to, until he returned and let us know they were in fact not out of chicken. So against our better judgment we ordered our food. My daughter and I received our sushi about 20 minutes later. We did not receive the 2 chicken bowls for 15 minutes more. My daughter finished 2 rolls before my wife and son received any food. We did not receive an explanation or apology for the food being late. The chicken was so inedible she complained and ensured the waiter knew we didn’t want a discount only to let them know it was inedible. He said they had a new cook, which could explain some of the problems. There were 2 girls dressed in all black sitting at the bar. One stood doing nothing while the other seemed to be on a tablet typing. One of them used the restroom before me. They have 2 single use restrooms that lock. They are very clean, however I noticed the toilet was running when I entered from having just been flushed by the person who left it prior to me entering which was the person on the tablet. The sinks are stone and I noticed prior to washing my own hands how dry the sink basin was before I turned the water on. There was a noticeable difference between the wet and dry stone sink. I am confident this person works at this restaurant, used the restroom and did not wash their hands. This same person instructed the 2 male waiters wearing red shirts to be in the dining area after they snuck around a corner. There was also a man with a baseball cap and goatee standing on the backside of the bar just peering out for the time we were there. They did discount our meal although we did not request they do so. I hope they read this as a wake up call that this could be on kitchen nightmares and all they have to do is start caring or don’t own a restaurant. Is it a sushi bar? Is it a night club? Is it a sports bar? One thing it is not is worth your time or money unless they drastically improve on every possible level.

I recently visited Xevichez in Valenica, hoping for an enjoyable dining experience, but sadly, it turned out to be a disappointment. The staff's rudeness was immediately apparent. Throughout our meal, our server and other staff was inattentive and unfriendly, making us feel like we were an inconvenience. The overall atmosphere was ruined by the poor service and long wait times. Food was good, service was absolutely terrible.

I wasn't excited when I learned this was all you can eat, but it turns out I was totally wrong. What great food! There are a lot of rules based on what dumb people have tried, like sharing food, over ordering, asking to take a ton of food home, etc. So, if you realize the rules are there because people tried abusing the all the you can eat idea, it's easy to get past the restrictions. I loved the food! The service was good, and overall I would go back if I was really hungry. It's worth a visit!

Four of us had dinner together. Two of us wanted the all-you-can-eat option; the other two ordered a la carte. Because of this the restaurant would normally not allow us to all sit together at one table. In this case, one of the a la carte diners had a medical certificate due to having had gastric bypass surgery, so in this case they allowed us to sit together.

I am often skeptical when a sushi restaurant offers all you can eat but this was lovely! We saw food being brought to others and felt reassured. The food was excellent!! Service was cheerful but sometimes slow even when there weren’t many customers. Atmosphere was nice. I would definitely come back again.

This was absolutely worst service I have ever had. At 3pm on a Thursday afternoon with only two tables of people and I'm supposed to wait 20 minutes to be seated? Then after we were seated, another ten minutes to even get our drink order. We had to ask three times for utensils after our food arrived and ended up just having to steal them from other tables. We ordered two rainbow rolls and when they arrived were prepared wildly differently, one completely drenched in sauce and the other dry as a bone. Then we had to ask for our miso soup that had been forgotten and didn't come until we were already mostly finished. And, of course, it was cold. As if it had been left out instead of brought to the table. Which wouldn't surprise me because the three employees working the two tables of customers decided to cluster at the front to chat and look at their phones. We very nearly got up and left because I couldn't get anyone to bring us our check, which was mischarged and took another long while to get someone to fix it. I will not be returning here.

Was gonna try this place. I walked in myself and my 2 kids (5,7 years old).
I wasn’t greeted at all. Then I got a table, a piece of paper and pencil with no explanation whatsoever. The only price it was shown is for adult all you can eat $29.9 but make sure you don’t leave leftover and don’t share with your kids. No kids price. Menu price is only online visible. Website didn’t work in my phone.
Then waitress said start slow because you can’t have leftovers and no share with kids otherwise they will get charged for the full AYCE price.
No ingredients, no amount is listed on that piece of paper I got. No price. Just the name of the sushi which I suppose to know what is that.
After 5-10 minutes of wondering what and how to order waitress said it will be minimum 30 minutes to get something or more time since they are busy (in a Monday at 2pm, 40% occupancy)
I left.
I don’t like the unfriendly atmosphere and a no price and a long wait. I don’t like they have no kids price.
Never return or try this place.

Last time I come to Xevichez! The food is great no complaints about that. Found out they had AYCE in the Valencia location again. It was my husband, self and my 4 year old. We both did ayce and got my daughter a bowl of rice cause she doesn’t eat sushi. When our bill came they charged my daughter for AYCE and I asked our waitress liseth, she said because she had a bite of a shrimp tempura she had to be charged for the full price of AYCE plus her bowl of rice. I am very disappointed because I been a long time customer and never had to deal with a situation like today!!

Walked in and wasn’t greeted at all. After being sat, our waitress who was also the “manager” named Alexis, refused to offer my table the Happy Hour deal. We are 3 adults with 2 kids under the age of 10, she said their restaurant restricted them to apply this deal to parties of 5 and more. I asked her to please show me on the website where these restrictions were, and failed to display the terms to which this applied. This is completely false advertisement to not imply that these are for parties 5 or less, and to consider CHILDREN as full grown adults. I would suggest this place to offer customers these “restrictions” before customers decide to come for this “HAPPY HOUR” deal.

The food here is alright. The miso soup is a bit expensive for what it is, but the rolls are pretty good. My main complaint here is that the music is obscenely loud at all times in this restaurant. I'm pretty young, I listen to music loudly in my headphones, sometimes I go clubbing, so I'm not complaining for complainings sake when I say the music is just terribly loud. It's to the point where it feels like being in a dance club full of tables and chairs. I can never hear my friends when we come here, let alone my thoughts. I can barely hear the waitstaff, I can barely focus on my food. To top it off, the music is very obnoxious club music with bass that probably makes the windows vibrate (think "Gasolina"). When I used to work at the mall, I'd go here for lunch, and it would be completely empty inside with music blasting at full volume, and my only question is WHY? WHO is this for? I'd never be back if the food wasn't decent. Otherwise, service here is middling. Food is not bad, if a little overpriced, the rolls are again the star of the show. If you want a peaceful meal, go elsewhere. If you're on a date or getting to know someone, go elsewhere. If you wanna get drunk and rambunctious, I guess this is an okay place? Solid 4/10 for me. Would be higher if the music wasn't so grating and loud.

My son had so many question and he was so kind and knowledgeable. I am not savvy in sea food, but he made great suggestions and we look forward to coming back! Wasn't sure what to expect, but was really impressed. We ordered a total of 7 rolls, some calamari, and another dish with shrimp and noodles. All the rolls were extremely good. The calamari was delicious, but the shrimp pasta stuff BLEW everything away. Don't know the exact name of the dish because my sister ordered it, but the flavor was bomb!!!!

Worst service ever. I usually love eating at Xevichez, I typically go to the Sylmar location. Decided to try their Valencia location because I was in the area, and because of the service their I don't think I'll try them again. Might not even go to the Sylmar location. It took 15 minutes before we were even helped for our drinks. Finally ordered our food and then it took another 40 mins for us to get our appetizers. While other people who got their after us were getting their food. We canceled our order and left. They were not really that apologetic either and didn't seem to care that we didn't get our food or were leaving. Didn't try to make up the fact that we didn't get our food. Worse service ever.

I will not be returning to this restaurant.
I noticed some dishes were not clean.
My beer was served from tab after a minute or so. It was a floating jellyfish on rising from the bottom of the glass which indicated residue from previous drink. Gross !than we ordered about four sushi rolls , I like the one out of four sushi’s. The kid with the big earrings attended us. And he will do the bare minimum! bare minimum to assistance !No thanks never again.!

Food was good, this certain day I order a scallop roll and a octopus roll not sure the exact name they had it in their menu but they had different names to them, the point is that they were both good. My girl had order some stir fry noodles with shrimp which I'll definitely order again noodles were on point and stir fry was tasty. Also the beer itself was nice and cold, I had order two draft Sapporo. Service was excellent, they were attentive all the time we were there, talkative and friendly, our sever down to the manager were all welcoming. They also have a playlist of music playing in the background, the staff said they played a mix this certain day and time they were playing norteñas. I'll definitely recommend anyone to try this place out and I'll for sure be visiting soon again

Our friend had told us about this new sushi spot, so we thought we’d try it out. We came in for dinner. The place looks cool with a modern twist. We sat down at a table. We ordered mojitos and my friend ordered miso soup as an appetizer. We got our mojitos and we were very disappointed. It had tiny pieces of shredded mint and didn’t taste like a true mojito at all. Our waiter seemed preoccupied and irritated by us. He came to take our main order and my friend still hadn’t received her miso soup. We had asked about our miso soup and he seemed annoyed that we asked about it. He came back with the soup and slammed it down on the table and walked off. We received our sushi rolls and they were just ok, nothing special. I think very over priced for basic sushi rolls. We were ready to go. We asked for the check and our waiter came back with the check and basically threw it at us. We will not be returning.

The girl at the front door wasn't very hospitable for food service industry. The sushi was the worst I have ever had, absolutely no flavor, I had to ask for wasabi and condiments. I am sure the place has potential, but the taste of food was awful. Another recommendation is provide a menu with pictures, looking at my phone what to order is unacceptable. Also provide a card with prices that one can fill out so I know what I am ordering.

Food is always good at Xevichez the one in Sylmar too. I give this one 4 stars for the food ONLY service was pretty horrible. Training needs to be done over at this place or the servers were new at it and they were very young people with little experience so idk pick one, still falls back on management. Had to ask two different people for the wasabi and ginger plus soy sauce after the rolls and sushi was served, the baked ones were cool by then. My server went MIA for 20 minutes. The second server who I had asked for condiments a bit before looked at our drinks looked at us and walked away after asking if there was anything we needed. Thought I was gonna get refilled 10 minutes later the hostess walking by for the 2nd time doing her job asked if we needed a refill and brought them herself. Not sure what was up with the 2 servers it was a slow night in there with only 4 couples other than us. Probably wasn't a real need for the music to be blasting like we were in the club on a Tuesday. The food is great though. But I'll probably just go to the one in Sylmar to blow my eardrums out with reggaeton mysic and better service kinda a little better not much, but like I said to me some of the best tasting consistent sushi I've had.

It took us over 40 minutes to get some stir fry and 2 rolls… let’s not forget the fact that I had to ask 3 servers for some straws. Took way to long to even check up on guest with not even a half full restaurant. Employees look dead inside no room for improvement maybe. Today on Monday, July 11, 2022 around 12:00 AM I went to have lunch, I sat at the bar, I only had limited lunch break . It was almost 30 minutes and Diego did not hesitate to ask me what I want to eat he did not even started making my sushi . I was very upset and I asked that guy Diego the sushi maker. Is my food coming up ? and he said yes, yet it wasn't true because he hasn't even started yet he lied . He was making other people's sushi first, even thought I came first . Diego overall had a bad attitude .I told Veronica what happened and I asked her to give the check to pay the 2 beers and a miso soup that was my third time been there with my siblings but I would not go there anymore because of him I did not have anything to eat all day I was very hungry . Anyways Veronica the second waitress who brought my second beer was very kind and friendly .

Service is Mediocre. Most of The Employees are Teens that will Forget your order & bring you something different than what you order.

Now On The food apart the only thing I liked what's the Lobster Roll That does Not made of lobster instead of Craw fish.
They Do Not Have Cevichez only one Ceviche that is Mediocre and the Drinks are so water down can't even taste alcohol.
Definitely not coming back!

Bassi and Diego were really chill and fun to talk to! I'm not too sure on the negative reviews maybe it was just busy or bad timing. Both times I went there the servers were very attentive and my food was given very quickly, this place gives a lot of sauce with their sushi and it tastes so good! I definitely recommend the aquachile shrimp. I was very happy :) will be coming back next time

I can not speak on the Slymar location but the Valencia Location use to be excellent customer service. As of last couple of months the wait to Get your Food (not to be seated) is Ridiculous for sushi. Even when they are not busy your still waiting 45+ minutes for your rolls. On multiple occasions people who have been seated 10 minutes after me with more people and ordered more have gotten their food before my table. We use to love coming here and now it’s always disappointing.

The Sylmar location was too loud. Valencia is no different. The service is terrible. The server (s) forget your order. For statics purpose don't serve food on broken or chip plates. The drinks do not have much taste. The food is a fusion of sushi and Mexican ceviche, creative, different taste. Turn the music down a little bit, is a restaurant not a club!

I hesitated to write this but as a business owner myself I felt the need to voice my objection. I just hope this is not a new trend the food was good the wait was too long but I have a huge problem with being charged a fee to use my credit card to pay for my meal. As a business owner you absorb those fees in order to offer a convenient way for your customers to pay. I was shocked when I saw this on my receipt after I finished eating. If they had told me in advance I would have taken my business elsewhere its wrong. Not to mention the fee they wanted to charge was double the rate any processing company charges.

Our meal had good flavor but too bad it was cold and dry by the time the worker decided to pay attention to the to go orders. People in the outdoor dining area had priority. Our food took an hour to get to us when they said it would be done in 30min. It sat on the bench for about 20minutes. Even though we checked on our food intermittently, they would give us a bogus excuse and not even look for our food.

I would order again but not for take out. I would never get my food unless I kept asking.

I Have been to the location in San Fernando many times and everything is always delicious!! Just ordered a couple of rolls from this location and....well I just need to say that they need to get it together! The food was so bland, zero authentic flavor. Unsatisfied!

Edit: I gave this location a second chance. It took almost an hour to get my food due to the fact that there was only one chef working. The roll I ordered was called the dizzle roll, it was amazing!! The only reason I waited was because I was hanging out having some drinks.

They dropped the ball for us big time. They kept telling me my food was coming, there were parties that arrived after us getting their food first, finally after about an hour I told them to just cancel my order. The server seemed to be having a bad day, I get that happens to all of us but there was no reason for us to take the brunt of it.
