Lunch combos, sushi, noodles & hand rolls, as well as beers & sake in a casual space.
We were really hoping to get the all you can eat menu here For dinner, but turns out they closed at like 5:30 p.m. even though the restaurant was closing at 10:00 and We got that around 9:15ish. We would actually have been okay with less than 2 hours of eating time but they said it wasn't an option.
Absolutely grateful that the server recommended the combo platter thing where we could get four rolls of sushi for a fixed price irrespective of what we got. And mind you these rolls were actually very large so we definitely got our money's worth! We ended up not even finishing all four rolls and had some sushi left over for lunch the next day which was nice.
Seaweed salad was fresh and tasty. Edamame was nice and spicy too, but a fair bit oily.
Fried Calamari was yum! Crispy and didn't feel too greasy.
Here's what husband and I went for:
Scott Albacore Protein Roll
In: Spicy Tuna, Avocado
Out: Albacore
This was a great low carb sushi option. I didn't know going ahead that this would be meat only because it was called a protein roll but now it totally makes sense. A good spicy sauce on the fish and overall a nice filling roll.
Raena 🤌🏻
In: Spicy Crab, Avocado
Out: Spicy Crab Meat, Crunch
Flakes, Masago
This was hands down our favorite! The combination of everything was really nice, especially with that crunch on top and that spiciness.. OMG we could totally have had one of these each on our own!
Welcome San D
In: Spicy Tuna, Cucumber
Out: Avocado, Caliantro, Onion
Quite a nice roll here to be honest. Decent amount of spicy and everything went well together for the mouth feel as well.
Hill Crests
In: Tuna, Salmon, White Fish
Out: Soy Paper, Avocado,
Green Onion, Masago
Everyone on the table was surprised and didn't know what that white paper was, but after looking at the menu I realized it was soy paper and not rice paper. This one was a good neutral flavor with no spicy aspect going on. It would be a little plain having too much of this on its own, but it provided a good balance and neutral flavor in between all those other spicy rolls.
They also had an offer going on where if you buy two of the socket drinks you would get a third one for $1 so we took advantage of that as well on the table.
Overall totally recommend this place!

The Hidden Artistry at All You Can Sushi Roll Land
In the sprawling mosaic of San Diego’s dining scene, where taco stands rub shoulders with high-end bistros, there’s a nondescript spot that quietly redefines the sushi experience. All You Can Sushi Roll Land—yes, that’s the actual name—might sound like a gimmicky buffet joint, but step inside, and you’ll find a shrine to the sublime craft of sushi-making.
The atmosphere is an unpretentious blend of traditional and modern. Warm wood tones, soft lighting, and the gentle hum of conversation create an environment that feels both intimate and communal. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and the outside world fades into the background.
Service here is a choreography of attentive yet unobtrusive gestures. The staff moves with a fluid grace, anticipating needs before they’re voiced, refilling sake cups with a silent nod. It’s hospitality that feels genuine, rooted in a deep respect for the guest’s experience.
But let’s get to the heart of it—the fish. The sashimi served at All You Can Sushi Roll Land isn’t just fresh; it’s as if the ocean offered up its finest selections mere moments before they reach your plate. Each slice is a testament to precision and passion. The salmon sashimi is a revelation—silky, rich, dissolving on the tongue like a fleeting whisper of the sea. The yellowtail is equally transcendent, boasting a delicate flavor that lingers just long enough to make you yearn for the next bite.
Then there are the rolls. The Honeymoon Roll, an unassuming name for what can only be described as an opus of flavor and texture, combines the buttery smoothness of avocado with the subtle kick of spicy tuna, all wrapped in a tender embrace of perfectly seasoned rice and nori. It’s a harmony that teeters on the edge of perfection.
The salmon and yellowtail rolls are studies in balance and restraint. No unnecessary adornments, no overpowering sauces—just the pure, unadulterated taste of the ocean, elevated by the expert hand of a sushi chef who understands that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
What sets this place apart is the undeniable artistry on display. In an era where “all you can eat” often equates to compromised quality, All You Can Sushi Roll Land shatters expectations. The chefs here are artisans, their knives extensions of their very souls, each cut deliberate, each roll a manifestation of years honing their craft.
San Diego may not be the first city that comes to mind when one thinks of world-class sushi, but perhaps it should be. This unassuming eatery proves that true mastery knows no boundaries. It’s a place where tradition and innovation dance together on the edge of a knife, where every bite is a reminder of what sushi can—and should—be.
If you find yourself yearning for an experience that transcends mere dining, make your way to All You Can Sushi Roll Land. Sit at the bar, watch the maestros at work, and surrender to a once-in-a-lifetime culinary journey. Just be warned: after this, sushi will never be the same again.

Food was so good
Service was the worst one I have ever seen in my life “the lady with pink hair” she has no manners at all.. I clicked the ring on the table requesting a service, and she shout out on me “I told you I am coming” with this exact face 😠.. she was unbelievable.. she wasn’t welcoming anyone got in the restaurant..

Food was delicious. Great tasting sushi. The Jen Jen was my favorite. Atmosphere and decor was forgettable but nice. Not thrashed. Service left a little to be desired. We all have off days. Maybe next time will be better. If I'm back in the area, I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Perfect way to end the evening. I am here on business and was highly recommended to this location by our Lyft Driver Rico. Once we arrived our server Ludwig assist us quickly with a table, and the overview of the ACYE Sushi menu. He had to take a break, but promptly upon his return he came back and made sure we had everything we needed and if our visit was going well.
Definitely will return whenever I'm in town

I would give ZERO STAR if I could. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!!
First, the pink hair lady was very rude with me and my family. It looks like she does not care for your experience and for the clients. We waited 27min to get a fork even pressing the ring in the table.
My food was burned. The WORSE FRIED RICE I HAD in MY LIFE. My daughter - only 9yrs old - asked for a plate that was not showing any sauce in the menu (she is allergic) and the plate came with sauce. We explained to the lady that she cannot eat sauce and asked for them to redo it but she said NO And said we should ask for no sauce next time (I wonder if she knows the restaurant should show in the menu what comes with the plate and how would I know that the plate has sauce since all other restaurant I go the “chicken katsu” does not come with sauce and her menu did not mention that).
At the end, my dad (70yrs old) start to feel bad and for sure was the food.
They ruined our dinner!

Came for our 4th anniversary just for the night out.
First off, they mentioned to us to do a review for them for 10% off, then came back and said they only accepted 5 star reviews for the 10% discount off the meal. I generously gave them 3 stars for everything; service included. I am not here to be bribed, if the food & service was great, you would receive a 5 star review; no question asked.
The food is decent. Rice to Fish ratio is alright. Rice is actually heavier than most places in the area. For $40 per person, I expected a little more for the rice to Fish ratio balance. The fresh wasabi wasn't very fresh, usually it should hit, but there was almost no kick to both the wasabi paste and fresh wasabi. Recommend the baked salmon, it was pretty good. The Eel Nigiri had a smokey flavor that made it nice, I recommend the salmon tataki as well.
Service was meh; not great. First server had an upset face, as though they didn't want to be there, other server was better and more polite.
Ambiance was nice, soft music, so we didn't have to shout across to talk, we can hear each other just talking at normal voice.
As Yelp/Google reviewers, we shouldn't have to be bribed for a good review, when a restaurant or store has great products, credit will be given where credit is due.
The higher reviews here may have been bought.(10% discount for a 5 star review)
I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Had AYCE. Nice clean spot. Read reviews beforehand and was served by the infamous pink haired woman who was good and attentive. Pricey AYCE is better justified with $5 japanese draft beers. The cuts were good quality, my only complaint is that the seared albacore tasted like butane or blowtorch. After trying, I requested albacore that wasn't seared, and it was much better.

DO NOT GO. The pink haired old "manager" lied and said the all you can eat ends at 7 PM AND says the website is wrong, "Oh the website is from the old owner". All the workers spoke in spanish calling her the hag. SO she just makes up whatever she feels, she also changed prices AFTER ordering. I showed her the website and she just waved it off and lied saying its the old owner. There is a ramen/sushi place right down the corner.

I came based on the pics and good reviews i feel like the instagram catfished me. The waitress was very cold and kept saying everything was an extra charge for just lemon and sauce. Tasted about as good as grocery store sushi overall very bland and not worth it too large of rolls rice not fresh and too much fake crab stuffing

Chase was our waiter and he was so kind and great! Want to give him a big shout out for great service!:) We had two other people helping and though I didn’t catch their names, they were extremely kind and quick as well! We did All You Can Eat and it’s an amazing line up of options for a great price considering all that you have access to. They have other “specials” you can do like 4 rolls and 2 misos which is great for friends or date night. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

What a sad experience. We arrived at 5:30 PM for an all you can eat style sushi meal. The first order was taken and the first portion arrived quickly. When we had almost eaten it, we pointed out to the waiters that there were still 2 pieces missing from the order. All good, it can happen, especially when one of the waiters has only been working there for 2 weeks. No worries. One of the two dishes arrived after we asked again, we waited another 15 minutes for the other and also placed our second order. From then on, our visit just got incredibly bad. We asked twice, several people took our order several times, but after half an hour (7PM, 1.5 hours after we entered the store) we still hadn't gotten our second order, so we wanted to leave. We spoke to the owner of the store about this and were then treated in a more unfriendly manner than we had ever experienced before. We said that we were not willing to pay the full price (40 dollars per person) as we had only had 1 round of all you can eat instead of 3 and were no longer hungry due to the long wait. She got really snippy and offered to bring us the second round, which we refused and she also denied the fact that we had to wait for the food.
As a result, we just got the bill thrown on the table. Our nice waiter apologized to us (again, no worries!) before we paid 160$ for a round of sushi.
I'm sad to write this review, I usually only rate places well (check out my other reviews!) but the way we were treated here was just cheeky. An apology and a friendly compromise would surely have been more effective than throwing the bill on the table and accusing us of ordering so much on the first round (sorry? I thought this was an all you can eat?).
We definitely won't be back, but will go to other places where we are treated nicely :)

Do not eat here! The food is mediocre at best with much of the sushi just nasty. And get this - if you don’t eat everything on your plate THEY CHARGE YOU EXTRA! They say it’s all you can eat so if you don’t actually eat it they charge you $5 for each item you don’t finish.
Avoid this place at all costs.

It's AYCE, but at a hefty price. One of our sushi had hair in it. The chef removed the one sushi and sent back the same plate ( it didn't bother me because I hate to waste food). I wished everyone in the kitchen wore hairnets or something. We managed to barely get past the 2nd round because we ordered so much on the 1st round. The presentation on the plates and cutting board was very nice. The sushi tasted okay, nothing extraordinary. If I went there again, I would have stuck with regular orders instead of AYCE. It literally costs more than Korean BQQ. The service is superb 👌.

All you can Eat: $39.99/Person — they will show no mercy for leftover foods.
I am visiting San Diego, and was craving sushi for lunch. I opted for the all you can eat because I thought the pictures of the sushi looked really delicious. But the food did not come out looking as such. It was such a waste of money, even though I did a review for 10% off.
The Filipina server, she was not friendly. She checked on me twice….. for the duration of close to 2 hours of me sitting there. I asked her about the 10% off the AYCE price, and she gave me a short answer as if I was inconveniencing them. I felt like she didn’t like me for whatever reason, idk. She was really friendly to the other tables and constantly check on them. But not me 🤷🏻♀️
There is another Buffet, that serves all you can eat sushi. I should have drove the distance and went there instead. I would have saved $30 extra dollars. I paid over $50 for a bunch of gold sushi.
I ordered the fried appetizers, but it was not great. They overcooked the food, so you won’t order more of it because it’s just overcooked…. Really hard to eat…. Calamari tastes like frozen rubber that’s from the Asian super market.
The wonder, woman with pink hair and lip fillers. She doesn’t look happy that I was there either idk what’s wrong with this place. They ignored me when I left. Didn’t say thank you or bye.
Parking: You Can park in the structure and the restaurant will validate the parking ticket if you park there.
I do not recommend this restaurant, there is no line waiting outside for a reason…. Because it’s simply not tasty. Save your money for elsewhere!

I assure you that this sushi is so nasty, to the point that it’s not nasty by itself, but they are working on it to be nasty and not edible Everything has this neutral, choking and dead flavor. When I came home my mouth was burning because I think they put something to make you keep drinking water like crazy I would not serve this food to my worst enemy. You don’t believe me? Please go and see yourself. I don’t care about very rude service, for real, all I care is the food quality, and I am sad that I have to give them any star.

Food was pretty good, we like sushi and enjoyed it. What was very frustrating was that they refused to allow my daughter to order a box when the rest of us wanted ayce because of the rule the entire table had to do ayce. She won't eat fish. Is very picky and didn't eat half of her box as it was. We had to sit her at a separate table in order to not pay the $40 ayce price. Then at the end, she merged the checks anyways...so ridiculous.

It's not truly all you can eat, so that's false advertising. You get 3 total "Rounds" and you can order as much as you want each round. But there's also an hour and a half time limit. The food was alright. Nothing special that stands out to me. Cool looking place. And like most places in SD, parking was trash.

Theres a young, no experience having, condescending dude who retorted "im a server not a servant" FIRE HIM. Our actual server the asian girl who served us the first time was busy and he picked up our papers for all you can eat on our first round. He came back in less than 5 mins with a less than apetizing looking plate of cali rolls with brown, off mushy avocado. Like he served us old rolls. I called him over and asked if he could get us a fresh batch cause the avo us obvs off. He smiled and tapped the plate back towards us and smiled saying "yeah its a lil brown id eat it." I told him come on bro if you opened up an avo at home and it wasn't green you wouldn't eat it and I'm not paying all you can eat for brown, old avocados. He kept chuckling all condescending like so I told him, actually just gimme the check. And he's still smiling like well like and I again said give me my check. He thinks he's smart and brings me a check for $95 for two people when we didnt even get to have a bite. Literally all I asked for was for him to change them. And I told him get a manager I'm NOT paying that. He said he'd get the closest thing still smiling and I saw our lady server and called her over. I explained and he came over to try to insert himself and I said NO. He was asked something easy, simple and he wants to behave like this? With whatever attitude that is. Sure not over the top but make my experience this? I also was working all day and came to chill and have a good meal. Not to see some snot nose unprofessional dude who wants to call himself a server get indignant about the simplest thing that wasn't even his fault. I tip hella good too cause I've been there, HELLO.
Come to find outs he's training...guess what ▪︎ he's blowing it for your business. He walked off and cursed me under his breath and proceeded to talk ill of us cause we asked for fresh food? Isn't that the point of sushi? Your chef dropped the ball and your "server servant kid" popped it.
Idk if ill be back but I remember dropping $200 here the first time with drinks. I live 10 mins away. I like supporting local business but you know what? If I walk in and see that dude- I'm walking out. No meal is worth that kind of service, period.
Pic with smirk of said "server" attached.

They have $39.99 AYCE sushi and the sushi is better than I would have expected - a pleasant surprise! (though, yes, it is still a $40 AYCE situation). The servers are friendly and helpful. For what it is and offers, I would say it deserves 5 stars.

Don't go there, the worst service ever and very rude employees
Hope I can give you less than 1 star to be fair with your restaurant and food quality..

Worst service ever !!!!! Tried to get there attention many times without anyone caring ! When they got my order wrong and I just wanted to pay for my bill and leave all he said is cash or card !
Why work in the customer service industry if you don’t have customer service skills ! Don’t waste your money $$!$$$$ worst $85 I have ever spend

Grossest Sushi I have ever had. Even the edemame was bad. The poke place (Makai Sushi - 5 stars) across the street is a way better choice. The only reason we didn’t go there instead was b/c it was closed.
We couldn’t finish eating the food, it was so bad. We just paid and left. Expensive for the lack quality.

I've been coming here for years now. The food is still good, but there's a server here that ruins the experience every time now. The older lady with the short hair messes up our order, never checks on us, and is just generally inconsiderate. Today she sat us at a table without clearing it before we sat. And there were other clear tables. We decided to get up and leave. I will never be back.

Decent spot for AYCE sushi, but not the best I’ve been to.

Most AUCE sushi spots are bad. Not this one.
Definitely try it.

The sushi here is not good. We ordered 3 rolls and 6 pieces of nigiri, the tuna was very fishy, we spit it out at one point because it was so bad and the rolls were even more disappointing. Cucumber salad was SUPER ginger-y and the miso soup was watered down. The service wasn’t great either, our server was unprofessional and it was hard to get a server to our table to refill waters. Overall super disappointing and one of the worst sushi spots we have been to.

Food was fantastic. AYCE was a great deal.

Great service. Great food. Loved the Jen Jen. So so so much. Ian was absolutely a delight. Would do the trip from Colorado for it again. Just be patient once you’re sat and drinks are done food takes no time. Worth the patience.

Our server (pink hair) had to deal with the rudest couple as we were being seated. They were trying to get away with not paying for their uneaten leftovers by berating her and threatening to leave a nasty review. She handled the situation very well and apologized for the lack of initial service. If they make good on their threats, this is the mess they left behind after ordering over 70 pieces of sushi for 2 people. Do better San Diego

I’m a frequent sushi goer and was pretty disappointed here. The sushi rice kept falling apart, the fish tasted like it came straight out of a dirty aquarium. I have no problem paying more for unfinished food during all you can eat but please make it palatable so it’s easy to get down in the first place.

I’m in between on my opinion with this place for a few reasons. The Sushi is decent however the AYCE rules is ALOT! Confusing, and ghetto if you ask me. I’m from Las Vegas where AYCE sushi is normal and maybe not the hype like it is here in San Diego. So the prices are reasonable in LV, the sushi is good, and there aren’t all these rules and stipulations like it is here at the sushi roll land. Idk, I think there’s a better way to do AYCE sushi than what they are doing here and for that reason, I won’t be returning anytime soon… on another note I do what to give Kudos to our server Ian, he was patient, knowledgeable, and kind. I’d hire him at my company. His customer service is excellent and my three star review is for him and him alone. To the managers/owners of this place, maybe yall should speak with someone who really understands the AYCE sushi business and restructure your approach. I think you’ll have better success that way.

Great quality AND value. $40 all you can eat sushi. Best deal in San Diego. Ian is super friendly and professional. I go twice a month. At least.

The sushi here is amazing! Different, yummy, and large portions. It gets busy so come early. Will be back!

Had all you can eat sushi. Terrible quality of food. The fish was not fresh. For sushi, they give you twice the amount of rice in each piece of sushi. I ate half of rice in each sushi because of its size compared to the fish. They would not serve me another round of food unless I finish all the rice. Was told that I have to pay extra for the rice I didn’t eat. This is how this place get you to be full, just plain rice. Not worth the price at all.

well first of all the lady serving us kept rushing out of our sight(they were not even so busy).. when she asked for drinks 2 of us said waters and she didn’t even wait for the others and left. Then she comes back drops the water for everyone. my friend wants to ask her something and she walks away. Then she comes and tells us we all have to do all you can eat (after waiting around for her) even though I explained I don’t eat seafood or sushi. That we have gone to many sushi places and they always allow us to do AYCE and me order my plate. I told her I don’t order appetizers I order actual plates. She kept saying I needed to pay AYCE and order my plate. Why would I pay $40 and still order my plate? We couldn’t understand her and she was rude so we just left. Waste of 20 minutes.
Visited 9 months ago
we wasted 20 min of our time here waiting for our server, who kept ignoring us. She wanted us all to do all you can eat but my wife doesn’t eat sushi. Waste of time

I honestly didn't find it that good and then they had all you can eat menu which is like these three pieces of paper that you would put like different rounds on in different amounts and it was just so confusing rather than just being able to say may I have this this and this and this and may I have more of this and I waitress had a really bad attitude it seems like she really didn't want to serve us or was having a bad day I'll never go back

After waiting 40 min a blonde haired Asian woman said we won't be seating your party we have no room and I don't know how long it will be it was the first update since signing in even the other workers looked at her like if she was rude and apologized for her don't go to this place she seems like she had a racist vibe about her not worth spending that kind of money in a place that would display that type of vibe.
Visited 9 months ago
Waited for 30 minutes just to be rudely told to leave because there’s no room.
Visited 9 months ago
The waiting time is terrible. They make the same sushi and give it to everyone. Not enough staff. You don't get your order. I waited from 8 -10:30 just to get four rolls that I didn't order since they don't have the staff and to pay. The price does not reflect the quality time or environment. They are nice people but you can't expect to charge people those prices and be that way

This place is pretty awesome! Got 4 rolls for 44 dollars (a deal which could save you up to $20) The Popcorn Scallop Roll 4/5 tons of popcorn scallop and had good flavor, Golden Tiger Roll 5/5 great fried Roll tons of flavor, Roll Land 5/5 my fav of the 4 tons of flavor, The Diablo Roll 2/5 not sure what happened here but way too much mayo in this roll. Not really one to send rolls back but in hindsight maybe should've had them remake this one. Despite this had an excellent experience! Highly Recommend!

Walked in and easily got a table for our group of 5. We decided to do the All You Can Eat sushi. Cindy our waitress was great. The service was fast and all the food was really good. Besides the sushi and sashimi, the baked mussels and seaweed salad are excellent.

Right from the beginning, Cindy was so kind and attentive to our needs. The sushi was bombastic and the experience was outstanding.

We did the all you can eat option, and it was bomb! We got the tiger roll, takoyaki, miso soup, edamame, spicy scallop roll, California and spicy tuna, jalapeno bombs, gyoza, and the San D roll was the best! Service was fast, from sitting down to our first plate, it took less than 10 minutes. The specials are great, got 2 bottles of sake and a 3rd for 99 cents.

Found while looking online for all you can eat sushi. The all you can eat menu here is very diverse and has lots of choices from appetizers, salads, sashimi, and hand rolls. My personal favorite was the in n out spicy roll. I would definitely rate this place a 5 out of 5 and will 100 % be coming back soon!!!

Went for the all you can eat sushi for lunch and it was really good , tried a few rolls , sides, and appetizers. Nothing disappointing at all ! My favorite was the Sunhee, I really want to go back and try more from the menu.

The lady I spoke with on the phone when I called to see if there were any available tables was SUPER nice. The seating wasn't too tight and the bathroom was clean, although I do wish the men's room had more than one stall. The food was okay, but I'll be honest, my stomach hasn't been quite right since the night I ate there.

I came in with my family to enjoy the all you could eat and their regular menu and they couldn’t give us both. I was very disappointed with their customer service. I had two small children and adult who didn’t eat sushi. They said the whole table will get all you can eat or the regular menu.

The establishment asked me to sit at a different table if I'm not going to have all you can eat like the other people. The female manager loudly complained that we did not leave a tip due to the fact that they were rude and one of the sushi rolls did not taste good. The establishment did not want to take the one nasty sushi roll and replace it.

The ultimate late-night sushi delight! The culinary brilliance of the dishes is simply unparalleled. We Indulged in the mouthwatering Washington roll, we did have some modifications, including adding “crunchyies” and refreshing cucumber. Prepare to be amazed by its delectable flavors!
The highlight of our dining experience lies in the exceptional service provided by Kris and her partner, Jelly. Their unwavering attention and efficiency made our evening truly unforgettable. From lightning-fast service to their extensive knowledge of the menu, we were thoroughly impressed. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kris and Jelly for their outstanding care. Thank you for making our night truly remarkable.
