Neon-lit restaurant, bar and karaoke rooms, serving cocktails, bottle service & creative sushi.
Upon checking in with a reservation, our party was held up at the door for about 10 minutes before being told to seat ourselves. We were told mixed things about the menu before being told happy hour was only on one day of the week and the menu wasn't available online where the other menus were. We were told to order at the counter, then were told to sit down and wait for a server. Server took a while to get to us and helped a party that came in after us first. Tofu and some other fried dishes weren't seasoned and seemed reliant on soy sauce. Wish there was less confusion between the staff and more consistent answers. They weren't exactly busy when we first came in but the staff seemed lost.

Oishii Sushi has good food and entertainment. The food is mostly Sushi, but they also serve appetizers, soups, etc. More than enough space for a party.
The rooms come in different sizes for Karaoke. You can fit a group of 5- 20+ people depending on which room you pay for/reserve.
Their location is right in the middle of Downtown Sacramento, in case you don't want the night to end!

Held annual Holiday Party with a group of friends and colleagues. Reserved a karaoke room big enough for 15 people with it's own restroom. We ordered several sushi platters which were all awesome. We initially reserved for 4 hours but had to extend for 2 more. The service was fast and attentive. Only disappointing issue was that there's no available selection of karaoke songs from our native country. Our group really enjoyed the night and will definitely come back.

The guy at the front was so rude he told us we couldn't get another hour and the other girl told us we could then he came and kicked us out and started yelling at trying to start a fight with us also you can't even pick any song you want it has to be one from their system this place sucks and i tried to order mochi ice cream and none of them knew what flavors they have this place was ridiculous but the guy in the front even brought the security with him to yell at us they got so bothered they banned us they even yelled at the girls when we weren't even saying anything and i have really bad anxiety so he made it really bad i had a really bad anxiety attack because of them.. very unfortunate because we came to celebrate our friends birthday i hope no one comes to karaoke night here because the staff doesnt care about their business the guy at the front told us he was in charge so it didnt matter of other staff told us we could pay for another hour he said he wanted us to leave. Also judging by the way the owner is replying to people in the reviews they do not care about making sure the customer feels at ease they care more about talking back than doing anything to help. I feel like we were being attacked and targeted because of our race. The moment we got there he was talking to us with an attitude. I'm so upset my chest still hurts because of the amount of anxiety I experienced. Also instead banning people for something so minor you should change out your staff to a friendlier staff. As the owner you shouldn't be so rude replying to everyone in the reviews they are trying to tell you there's something wrong with how your staff is behaving and you don't care and try to say anything you can to try seem like you're in the right but there's nothing right about allowing your staff to treat customers that way your staff needs to learn how to handle situations like these and talk politely instead of yelling at us they were in a working environment they need to behave professionally. I'm sorry if I misgendered someone but it was the person working at the front on 11-29-2024 /
11-30-2024. Again no one was underage and no one that didn't have ID was drinking it was our last hour and some of us forgot we couldn't take in beer into the room and instead of politely reminding us your staff came in raising its voice telling us we couldn't do that and as our people were getting out the room to go drink outside the host or whatever it was and the security guard kept telling us we need to leave instead but of course the owner is probably going to comment back saying it was all our fault instead of taking accountability for the type of staff they hired. Such a disappointment.

Staff is very combative as soon as you get there and ask in a very rude manner “what are you doing here” not even a hello or welcome in. They need customer service training or just NEW people. A very disappointing time here. Look for a different place cause this ain’t it.

Horrible service , went in to buy sushi and alcohol
Got my i.d flagged and banned for asking the cook to prepare the raw sushi correctly so I won't get food poisoning, ended up with horrible stomach pain ,
and disappointing service
Please be aware they will scan your i.d and keep it in the system for trying to buy alcohol after hours and asking to have the sushi be prepared a certain way
As a paying customer I would not recommend this sushi place

Sushi was fine. They had private karaoke rooms, which we like, but the song selection was pretty terrible.

$55/hour for a small room is very fair, but the $32 pitchers were the grossest overprice I've seen in absolutely ANY bar/club/restaurant in Sacramento. A shot of Cazadores tequila was $11.50. Sure I got 4 shots and four pitchers, but I'll probably look for some other KTV spots that aren't trying to F their guests so hard. Don't get me wrong, we had fun, buuuut we could've had more fun with decently priced alcohol.

Definately one of the worst sushi I've had during my travels, which includes grocery stores in third world countries.
Karaoke machines are japanese imports from the late 2000s with limited english selection. Mostly main stream music pre 2008. East Asia selection is a little better, but you'll have to search for titles in their native script. Overall the Karaoke was fun but the service was less so.

I’ve been calling for over a month now trying to get my reimbursement. They said I wouldn’t get charged for the big room because we didn’t use it that it was okay. Turns out they charged me even tho they said we could live rooms for free. They owe me over 100. Everything I cal they say the manager isn’t in. They never call me back. Would never recommend this place. I know have to dispute the transaction with my credit card company. Since they don’t have the customer service skills to talk to me to help resolve the issue.

During my visit (11/4/2023) to Oishii Sushi and Heartbeat KTV (K Street Location), I had the pleasure of experiencing their comfortable private room and attentive service. The room was spacious, well-decorated, and equipped with comfortable seating and excellent sound systems. The staff was friendly and accommodating, providing prompt and attentive service throughout the visit. Overall, my party and I had a very positive experience with our private room and service at Oishii Sushi and Heartbeat KTV.

The music selection was cool. We were able to plug in an auxiliary cord and sing to music that was not in their selection. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the food was not OK. I had 1 dumpling, and it tasted like armpit. I had read the other reviews about hair being in the food and the overall food quality being bad, but I was hopeful that it was resolved if it was true which does not seem likely. Stick to just karaoke 🎤. Avoid the food at all costs... 😳

We took a friend's daughter here to celebrate her 19th birthday because she loves sushi and karaoke. Her mom set everything up online with her credit card, that they supposedly keep on file but when we were arrived, they didn't know anything about it. We were worried that they were going to charge her card, along with her daughters credit card because they allow you to reserve & pre-order the food for the room, on their website. Apparently the establishment doesn't even know about their own website. She didn't call for a manager or anyone else, to at least help us figure it out because we did have some extra time before our reservation. Eventually, WE were able to figure it out & put another credit card on file. I wasn't comfortable with it but what do you? She took us to our room, a few minutes early. They gave us a description on how things work w/ the karaoke stuff & showed us the QR code for the menu & a service button Told us to set a timer, for 2 hours because they do charge, if you go OVER the time limit & She mentioned she was starting a timer as well but she didn't say that she was starting it before 6:30. After all the confusion & questions that we never got answered & not telling us certain things, we got charged for an additional 13 minutes. It might not have been a lot but she should have told us that she was starting the timer early. We didn't know anything until we went up there to get our credit card and ID. I was focused on celebrating this young lady, who is away from her family, on her birthday, out here attending college. It wasn't about them but they still made us pay for it & I felt they were only worried about themselves. This establishment says that you should get there a little early & we were there before they even opened. If they charge you extra for going over the time limit, then she should have told us that because she started it. This place is really nice & I will give them credit for that but the staff we were around, were cold & not very friendly people. They did not look like they were happy to be there or happy to even have a job. I did not see a lot of smiles. I think that some things were overpriced & the service and people are not the nicest. The food was just ok. It wasn't the most enjoyable birthday, for a young lady, who is away from her family, attending college in California. It was my family's job to make sure she had a good time. The part that she loved most was the karaoke so we definitely skip dessert, so she could enjoy her time, & took her someplace else, so she can get whatever she wanted. This specific dessert place is one of my favorites & have been going there for quite a few years now. Gave them a rating as well. We actually had to wait, in a VERY long line, for almost an hour, before we got our dessert. But I will say it was worth it.!!! The birthday girl was very happy with what she got, the service was amazing, everyone acted like they were happy to be there, they enjoyed working with the customers. That's the type of stuff that I really enjoy. I can only hope that this sushi place gets better

This place likes to add on an 18% fee on to your bill just to make things even more confusing. If you order food to your room it costs 18% extra. They charge you 18% on top of the room charge for cleaning fees. These should be basic services already included in prices and the only reason they arent is to make it confusing and so you think you're spending less than you did. If you want to split your bill you have to individually go out and order at the front desk or bar. The 18% fee isn't included if you order out of your room. Just make the system as annoying as possible to order so everyone is willing to pay the 18%
You are charged by the hour but the first twenty minutes will be spent figuring out your food order hearing the rules and picking a couple songs.
The karaoke system keyboard doesn't seem to have a space bar in English so searching is annoying.
Food was fine but they clearly haven't updated their menu in awhile because a special advertised up front wasn't on it and I decided not to wait for the waiter to come back after they learned the price.

As much as I wanted to enjoy this place with coworkers on a night out, we couldn’t. We made reservations for 11:30pm and arrived at 11:15pm just to find out they were closed. Not only were they closed their worker stumbled drunkly into the street. told us they had closed early and that we were out of luck. She then proceeded to hang around our group for awhile and was clearly intoxicated. She then made some remarks about my friends looks that were taken very poorly. Even thought the worker had stated they had closed early and we wouldn’t be charged we were still charged. Overall extremely poor look.

The karaoke is great and the staff was fun and helpful… I will warn you DO NOT GET SUSHI HERE. Eat before you come and enjoy singing. The food was overpriced for not great sushi (which was fine and what we expected). What we did not expect was to take a bite of a roll and pull a insanely long hair out of our mouth. Like I cannot communicate how long this hair was and by the time the whole thing was pulled out of the mouth we all ended up feeling quite uncomfortable and ill. I gently explained what happened to our server and she seemed concerned at first but was asking about what color the hair was and I went to bring the roll to her and she kinda snapped that she hadn’t asked for the roll or had offered to take it back and I was a bit floored. We hadn’t ask for a comp or refund or anything, I simply came to talk to her as a person who worked in food and simply suggested they have sushi chefs with long hair tie it back or wear a hair net so they don’t get reported. She was unsurprised by the hair and when I looked up other reviews today multiple people have eaten or found hair in their food there and not been handled or comp (or just fixed by having staff follow basic hygiene procedures required by the health department). They didn’t offer to replace or comp which I thought was odd but again we didn’t want to make waves. When we went to leave they sent a small mochi ice cream to “apologize” and said multiple times it’s was free (though all of us were too afraid and ill to touch any food at this point). As we were leaving they put the ice cream on a tab for one of our friends and argued with them for a long time he needed to “pay his bill” before we leave and it was confusing and upsetting. Again, karaoke was fun and the staff coming by the rooms were fun and sweet and the drinks are fine and cost about what you’d expect for a night out… just DO NOT order any food as this appears to not be uncommon here and clearly not something they plan to or have addressed unfortunately.

Cool little place. Pricey. Only issue I had was the music selection. I think there should be a bigger selection of other kinds of music. We mainly listen to Spanish and we had to use our phones to play music. Some don't know lyrics so we had to hold our phones. Would of been nice to have music and lyrics on the screens.

Food is great and it looks like the service to the rooms is awesome. But the service if you're eating and waiting for a room is terrible. 20 minutes to get a menu or for our server to take our drink order. Over an hour just to get our drinks. Service in the dining area is terrible. They keep coming back and saying they're short staffed, but we seem to be the only ones not being served.

Came here for karaoke. Had so much fun!! It’s a cool and vibey atmosphere. They have a good amount of different rooms depending on the size of your group. And they have a bar to get drinks from (reasonably priced too). The rooms weren’t soundproof or anything but hearing other people have a great time kind of added to the fun. Cool place!

The restaurant also has a large section dedicated to karaoke (which the karaoke section was cool and its decoration was exciting). The food was tasty, and the server was attentive. All in all a tasty brunch time sushi. I ordered a avocado Maki (tasty, but expensive) and a salmon and crab handroll (cone) one of my friends got a katsu bento box which she enjoyed, and felt like she got good bang for her buck.

Best karaoke in town! If you’re looking to have a private party with friends and seeing your heart out this is it! They offer multiple options on room sizes for different groups. It’s pretty affordable and the staff really caters to your needs. The karaoke system is a little hard to figure out but once you do they have a big selection of songs. If you’re having a birthday party or just a really fun get together I highly recommend reserving a room!

Always tons of fun, but it gets pricey quick. $110 for a small karoake room rental for 2 hours, plus $110 for a cheap bottle of vodka (and only 1 juice to go with it? Come on...), and $40 for 2 sushi rolls & edamame

I went here to celebrate friends' birthdays, and it was a lot of fun! The service was good, food and wine was decent and the private rooms ) roughly $50 per hour) are great, especially in these Covid times we're living in. I called a day before to make a reservation as it said it’s recommended on their website. The lady I spoke to was super friendly and informative. However, when I came to check in for the karaoke room I was told something completely different. Please work on educating your staff so misinformation isn’t spread. Also, the food was alright, nothing too impressive. The songs that were available were outdated wish they had more options and more genre available. As our time was up, we went to stand in line to return the microphone and they were trying to charge our group an extra hour because we were 3 minutes over our time even though we spent 5 minutes waiting in line to return. In the end, they ended up charging our group the 3 minutes. This is such a dumb idea especially since we were waiting in line to RETURN.

This place looked SO COOL. Perhaps I am easily impressed, but even the elevator seemed fancy. The restaurant itself was stunning, and seemed very promising. However, the food itself was totally and completely unimpressive. I ordered a rainbow roll, and honestly it was no better than sushi from Safeway. Considering how classy the restaurant looked, my hopes were high, but were quickly shot down.

Had a VIP room & let me tell you, there's nothing VIP about it. The guy who took us to our room wasn't friendly at all & clearly didn't want to be at work. There were 3 TVs mounted on the walls, 1 of them was clearly broken and had red lines or something going throughout it. The microphones for karaoke stopped working about 30 times in the middle of singing. The couch was dirty & had so many dead spots it felt like sitting on a piece of hard wood. The private bathroom wasn't cleaned before we arrived & had sticky stuff on the floor. The food was mediocre at best. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because our waitress did a great job.

Got here at 640, asked server about the happy hour and was told it was only for the karaoke. At 655, we doubled checked with the bar but apparently their time is ahead and it was considered after 7pm. The waitress did not know what Hornitos was and then when she went to the bar to get it she came back and told me they didn't have it but they had other flavors, really?! We also have a food allergy and she either didn't know of the establishments policies and practices for dealing with food allergies or they just don't care about food allergies. The place was dirty and just plain gross all around. We ended up leaving without eating. Just don't go!

Good place for karaoke. Don't expect cocktails or sushi that are beyond the world. Fairly average sushi.

Terrible terrible terrible as Charles Barkley would say!!! This place is creepy and felt like an old brothel. I wanted to jump in a tub of sanitizer as soon as we were taken to our private room. Whoever thought karaoke and sushi would go together is a disgrace to sushi enthusiasts. Sushi is an art and should be treated as such.
Don't go here if you want good sushi.

This is a great secluded upscale location with consistently good lunch and specials. Come at noon, get a good seat in front of the big screen. If you are lucky enough to be the first customer, they will change the channel to your favorite one.

Be EXTREMELY careful about having group events here. Our office made a reservation for lunch at Oishii Sushi, and (without asking us or telling us), they made it a catered meal with three medium sized sushi platters (not nearly enough for 25 people - not that we had asked for catering at all). We were confused and told the owner that we had not asked for a catered meal, that some people had food allergies and would not be able to eat the food, and he was unapologetic. It was clear that this was not a mistake. We each had about 4 rolls and it cost $47 per person. Some of us covered the interns, bringing our end total to $87 per person.
This is my first negative google review, and hopefully my last. But I felt Oishii took advantage of my coworkers and me, and I do not want anyone else to have a similar experience. There are plenty of other great places to eat downtown. Save yourself some frustration.

I always love coming here. Usually it's just me and two others for an hour, but we had 8 people this time for 2 hours. It was a lot of fun, the lychee Sake was VERY GOOD. Our waitress was great, even though we called her over and over about dumb things, she was very nice. As a thanks we gave her some cake, hopefully she got it and enjoyed it.
The food was good, but it did take three times of asking to get my seaweed salad out to me and one of my guests had to ask for her drink the same amount of times. Only reason I dropped to 4 instead of 5

I'm not sure how the people at the front desk still have a job and why they were hired to be the first line of human contacts with paying customers. They lack a lot of good basic human characters and values. You all need to go back to Level 1 customer service training, I can teach ya'll, for a price. I will give ya'll a freebee. Rule #1: The customer is always right! When a paying customer tells you something is wrong, something IS wrong! and you better jump and remedy the issue. Not ignore the paying customer and make excuses and try to offer a fix at the customers expense. That is NOT a fix! No one try to hear what we had to say or offer any type of compensation. They were quick to take our money, of course, but when we voiced a concern, they all play dumb. I will absolutely NOT return here.

The wait staff was good. Only 1 sushi chef, yeikes! The rolls were too small the prices was outrageous. I don't think they are used to people who can see or that want to actually eat their food in those party rooms!

Celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday here last weekend. I took advantage of the happy hour pricing and got a great deal on the medium sized room (up to 15 guests), which felt just right for our group size but also left room for any last minute additions.
Walking up to & into the this spot was a fun part of the overall experience. Very cool party vibes.
I was a little unsure about participation (only one in our group had been to a karaoke lounge), but to my surprise EVERYONE (even the most shy & quiet person) in our group let loose! I had to extend our reservations twice, each time by a half hour. It turned out to be a perfect combo/"something different" experience. I figured if the karaoke wasn't a hit, we'd at least have our own private party room with dining/drink service.
If you want to avoid crowds I recommend their happy hour. We were there on a Saturday from 4:00-6:30 -- when we arrived there was hardly anyone there, and by the time we left the place was pretty packed.
Another bonus was the location and other nearby options for entertainment (coin-op arcade, live mermaid lounge, historic movie theater). Heartbeat is a great place to start a night on the strip!

Good late night food menu. The karaoke rooms looked interesting. The elevator to the second story was also a unusual touch.

Worst service ever. Party of 8. Took 30 minutes to take our order. Then every single food item (~12 to 16 of them) only arrived at our table if we complained. We waited 30-40 minutes before the 1st complaint, as we looked at the bar where the orders were coming up and many were just sitting there for 10 or 15 minutes, while the waitress seemed to be hand-calculating people's bills. Not with a calculator.... By hand. My wife and I got our first roll after being there for 1 hour, 2nd roll at the 1 hour 45 minutes mark, and our APPETIZER showed up 2.5 hours in, after the bill, in a to go box. They refused to comp anything. ZERO F***KS given. The sushi was sub par and overpriced which was bad enough, but the service and management truly "earned" this abysmal score. Avoid this place at all costs friends.

This is a fun place. I went for the karaoke. You pay for the room by the hour. Beware it can be quite expensive if you do multiple hours. I had a great time but I would suggest being drunk by the time you start singing, because it can be a little awkward in the beginning. I cannot give a 5 or even 4 star rating because the karaoke software used here is very difficult to navigate.

I went in with few coworkers. The service was weird and lacking. The kitchen was not organized in timing of sending out dishes. I ordered Jalapeno Tuna sushi. It was lukewarm. It was not fresh as it should be. Luckily I did not finish the roll because later on... I ended up being food-poisoned. This restaurant need to have food inspection done.
I'm never coming back here again.

Karaoke rooms are good but they give you a clean up fee on top of the room rental, even if you do t make a mess. Then they charge you a clean up fee on the drinks too. Doesn't make sense. Why doing they just barge you more? Oh wait they are!
