Azukar Sushi brings together the value of an all-you-can eat sushi buffet with quality that can only be achieved in a made-to-order environment. For one price, diners can choose any number of over 40 different freshly made menu items. From the traditional California Roll to one of our own innovative sushi creations (Sacramento Roll), you can finally enjoy as much freshly made sushi as you’d like without wondering what the final bill will be!
Very nice atmosphere and good sushi, no loud music blaring. We went on NYE and the service was great. I had the honey walnut shrimp sushi roll, the Philly role, gyoza, and ebi nigiri. All of it was fresh and delicious. The Asahi beer was really good too, I hadn't had that kind before.
Instead of ordering a la carte, everything on their dinner menu is included in an all you can eat for $33 per person. However, the menu notes that you will be charged accordingly for leftovers, which is pretty smart to discourage people from making a lot of waste or trying to take home a bunch of extras for free.
Note: ice tea does not come with refills, but they did give us a free order of donuts at the end, which was very kind of them.

I do not recommend this place.
The 3 stars is for the speed of service, easy to eat portions, and relative affordability for AYCE. Food comes super fast, at the cost of being poorly assembled sometimes. It’s 5 pieces per roll, so you can try a variety without feeling too burdened. The cost for weekends or dinner is $33/person.
The food is just not very good. The worst part is that they can’t even cook rice right. RICE. At a SUSHI restaurant! It’s insanely dense and unpleasant to chew and of course they’d add sooo much of it to everything.
The fish was consistently bland with some highs and lows. The fish on the nigiri wasn’t bad, but it doesn’t taste great either.
I forgot to take a picture of this one but I did enjoy the salmon in the spicy assorted sashimi side specifically. It’s a nice pile of cubed salmon, tuna, and yellowtail. My partner ate the yellowtail and it had a mushy, poorly thawed frozen texture.
Tried the 49ers roll, azukar roll, and bay scallop roll. 49ers is ok but the ratio of ingredients to rice is poor. Azukar roll was my favorite, probably cause it’s a fried maki roll and didn’t have an awful outer layer of rice lol. The bay scallop roll is extremely umami and a little sickening, but it’s fine with sriracha. The selection is not very diverse.
Lastly we ordered sesame balls, it’s nice cause they can be ordered individually. They’re ok, I like how they’re petite. We asked what the donut on their menu is and the server said it’s just a normal sugar donut hole fyi.
You can just go ahead and disregard the Asian food opinions of everyone raving about this being the best sushi ever lol. Just go literally anywhere else run by the Japanese or Koreans. Not trying to sound like a snob, I love cheap slightly low quality sushi. But this is NOT it. Don’t take your Asian friends and don’t take someone here for their first time. Sorry. The inside of the restaurant and servers were nice.

This is a hidden gem. They are a small restaurant tucked into a South Natomas strip mall and have been around a long time. Easy access off either 5 or 80. Their food is fresh and high quality. They have an all you can eat option for what you pay for limited items in other sushi places. This means you can order small servings of as many different items you might like. Just don’t waste and ruin it for the rest of us. The decor is not fancy, but you also don’t have to yell to be heard above the noise as I have found in more well known sushi restaurants. The service is top notch.

I love Azukar Sushi! It's fresh made to order sushi all you can eat. Out off all other sushi places I have tried. This is my favorite. They have all my favorites which we ordered. The BBQ Albacore, Jalapeño Crispy, Super Dynamite
, and many more. The price is decent. You make it up just by having 2-3 different items.

I recently dined here with a group of 17, and we ordered a lot of sushi. We were very pleased with the flavors and variety of choices available. However, the dessert didn't quite match up to the quality of the sushi. The deep-fried banana was too soggy, possibly because the banana was too ripe. The donuts and sesame balls were average. Despite this, the service and serving time were impressively fast, and the staff managed to keep up with our large group efficiently.

Friendly and greets as you walk in and leave. Food was ready as I got there. Price is reasonable. The food was really good. I liked that the tempura wasn't all soggy by the time I got home. They made holes in the box to air it out. The sushi was flavorful and a lot. I can normally eat two dishes and a couple but I only at one and was full. I'm not sure which dish is which so I can't label them properly.

I have eaten at this place for years. I generally order takeout because of social anxiety. When I have eaten in, the atmosphere is cozy and makes you feel at home. The staff are always friendly and the good never takes too long.
The food is always exactly what I need. It is simple and straightforward Japanese food, exactly what I remember eating with my host family in Gifu. Most American style Japanese food has too much sauce and sugary things on it, or has too many ingredients. Azukar Sushi makes food that accentuates the flavor of the dish. The sushi is always fresh and it always hits the spot. I am so glad this place survived Covid and is still thriving.
Thank you for always providing top quality service, food, and experience. You are one of two sushi places I will order from, no other places does maki rolls like you. I also like the ability to modify the sushi with weird add-ons in the online system.

The portions of fish were amazing. Service was attentive even with a busy place. Only issue is a limit on the amount of yellowtail you can order which is my favorite fish 😥😥😥😥. Would go again!

The service was good. They were very attentive and welcoming. But the Sushi was so bad. My kids and I ordered 4 different rolls. Two of those four had rotting fish. It stunk so bad. Never coming back again. So disappointing. Only thing we liked was the Gyozas.

Overall, it's a good place, but when the rush is on quality, it suffers. We will be back to enjoy a slower day.

I'm so glad this restaurant was open when all the others were closed 2-4. I'm not from the area and we stopped to eat here after a quick Google search. About $33/person for all you can eat. Sushi was delicious and fresh. Sesame balls are a must! Our waitress was the sweetest lady EVER. She made me feel so special for mother's day by giving me a 'lucky rose'. It was so unexpected and really made my day. If I'm ever driving thru, I will definitely stop by again.

The food is good and comes out quick. It is also pretty pricey unless you like to eat a lot of sushi. It is a pretty restaurant inside, but it gets very loud. I found it hard to have a dinner conversation. For the amount of money I spent, I left feeling underwhelmed. Maybe better for lunch?

I have been to this location multiple times over the years, since 2018 I believe, and each previous time had a very good experience. This most recent experience was somewhat unpleasant, we showed up at about 1:45pm (over an hour before they switch from Lunch to Dinner menu) and finished at roughly 2:30pm. They charged us the Dinner prices which ended up making the meal about $15-20 more than we were expecting as their Lunch pricing was and is still listed as ending at 3pm. The food was tasty but I became sick shortly after and actually threw up. I am hoping this is a one-off bad experience but wanted to share about the Lunch/Dinner time change since they haven't updated their business hours to reflect this.

I really like the staff here. They are friendly. However, a couple weeks ago, they showed how vicious they can be. A couple of guys forgot to bring cash with them as they assumed that the establishment accepts Apple Pay. They do accept Apple Pay as I paid using it also. On this particular day, their machine was not working and one of the servers yelled out that that the customers' phone was not properly working. At this point, the mood in the restaurant changed. The two gentlemen calmly sat down to find their debit card. One of them stood up, apologized, and said to the waiter that he will go to the Chase bank to withdraw some money and come back to pay for their meal while the other friend stays behind. The servers yelled at this man despite assuring them that he would come back. He then proceeded to apologize to the chef and he also yelled and told him not to come back anymore. By listening to the man talking to the staff, I could clearly tell that he has a speech impediment. I also noticed that he also had a mobility issue. This restaurant did not give him the chance to show them that he would come back to pay for their meal. If someone is willing to pay for their meal despite your staff yelling at them but yet you kick them out, then I think we should really think hard about going to this restaurant.

I went for the all-you-can-eat sushi on a Friday night. The staff was friendly, but very busy with takeout orders. The sushi was decent, I mainly got nigiri rather than rolls though. The restaurant itself wasn’t the cleanest, and the layout was quite awkward. All in all, an ok choice for ACYE.

My "go to" sushi experience whenever im in Sacramento. Since i live 3 hours north, its not as often as I'd like, yet make it a point whenever im close. Always fresh and delicious. Always friendly and helpful service. Lunch and dinner menus are both extremely reasonably priced, and the "all you can eat" availability makes it fun to try something different. Of course I'll be back.

They pack the rice onto the sushi so you’re actually getting full off the rice more than the actual fish. When I asked for less rice, the lady was annoyed but still said okay. However, when she served the nigiri it still had the same amount of rice. The service was also not great, the ladies were rude and at times felt like they were rushing us. The restaurant’s atmosphere was awkward and unappetizing to eat at. I had hot tea and it came out lukewarm and they left the tea leaves at the bottom of the cup. Also, the sushi was room temperature not cold. I brought my family here because of its 4.5 rating and paid dinner prices. However, I am extremely disappointed in this experience and felt like they cared more about profit than actually giving a good experience.

I’m currently trying to find good AYCE places ever since I moved from Las Vegas and this place is a must. It may not have much of a selection as other AYCE places, but guys let’s be honest with each other and admit we don’t even order 50% of what’s on a AYCE menu that has 100 items. We have our favorites and this place most definitely will have yours. The salmon nigiri absolutely blew my mind with how fatty the salmon was and how prominent the white lines were on the cuts. I’ve been to many places in Vegas that don’t even come close to this. Also with it being a bit of a smaller restaurant the servers are always able to be attentive and keep your cup filled. Really the only gripe I had was the miso soup. It was a little bit lack luster with not that much salt, but of course I understand not all miso pastes are the same. The soup still warmed me up and that’s all that matters. Please give this place a shot for your lunch break. It’s worth every dollar!

This place was incredible, it was a random find that had some good reviews. Seems to be a more family run place that had great service as opposed to a big chain. The food was incredible and we had no idea they had an all you can eat menu for like $30. We were treated very well during our stay which was welcomed after the 12 hour drive we'd had. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting a good sushi experience!

It is ok place to try AYCE. There are some dishes limited one time order. But there is a question I did not ask. If people come there in the future, they should ask what mean on "Only can order one time on this item." Is it for a person or for a table. !!!

This is an edited review from a few years back when my wife and I use to drive here from Fairfield, it was a 5 star review. It is now a 2 star because of a recent visit. The prices have been raised way to much since the pandemic and hamachi is only 1 order per table. Go to Raku sushi in West sac instead, they are cheaper and there aren't stupid restrictions like that. I don't normally give a lower score based on customer service but the staff was very rude which was the last straw. I will never visit this restaurant again after being a regular for years.

DON'T WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE!
Food and service were terrible. Used to be better. No wonder why this place was never busy. Appears to be different owner.
Food was old and didn't taste good. The sushi rice was soggy. The old rude waitress lectured us on not eating all the rice from the sushi and threaten to charge us. We have eaten the rice if it was cooked correctly. Plus they can't force people to eat the rice because some are diabetic or on a low carb diet.
The edamame was dark and old. Before they used filtered water, but now they use tap water.
There was NO LOVE put in making the sushi like before.
We drove 2 hours to eat from San Jose but we left disappointed. Might be the last time we eat here. Fuji sushi is so much better. Now that we had such a horrible experience, we love Fuji Buffet in Concord so much more.

This place needs to hire more people. They do a decent amount of take out/delivery orders while offering all you can eat sushi but the ayce sushi service suffers for it. They rarely refill drinks. We sat at our table for 15 minutes before anyone took our order.

Service: Horrendous! Tuesday evening, 2 wait staff & full out. Didn't take long to sit but took forever to order. Others were ordering before. That should tell you that that hardly come to check on you. They fly by so fast, you can barely flag them down. When I finally caught them, they were like you didn't order yet? Uh no! How could we when you never came back and flew by so fast like you were avoiding us.
Food: Took a bit to come out. It's ayce but doesn't feel like it cause you cannot consistently order since you always gotta flag them then they're like, 1 min but never come back. Rolls are sloppy. They don't hold. Breaks apart easily when picking up with chopsticks and it's not cause I'm too rough. I've used chopsticks nearly all my life. Never got our drinks refilled either even though we asked.
Rating: Would I go back? Nah. Hard pass. Not worth the hassle for lack of service & poorly made rolls. There are better ayce sushi places out there. But hey, if this is your place cause they treat you right, then by all means please continue to visit.

- Their website is not updated so their prices have changed.
- July 5th, i had a reservation for about 10 people. i called a week earlier and reserved the table only to find out upon my arrival that they were closed for the entire week of July 4th for vacation. It would have been bit professional to inform me when i made the reservation.
- Free refills only on water and not on any soft drinks nor iced teas.
- Their lunch menu is very basic with minimal things to choose from.

I came to eat All You Can Eat sushi and when I sat down to start ordering I began with an order of hamachi nigiri. The lady that was taking my order then told me that I could only get 1 hamachi for the night. I asked her “why as I was just there a couple days ago with my friend and they didn’t say that was the case then?” She replied “hamachi is expensive right now.” I was very upset as she was not apologetic at all. I drove over 30 minutes away to come to their restaurant for dinner and so I left as this was not what I was expecting. I will not be returning back in the future!!!
Do not offer All You Can Eat items on your menu if you are going to limit the ordering amount to the guests. It’s not All You Can Eat then!!! Also everyone knows everything is expensive right now, so this seems like a poor excuse, maybe the owners of the restaurant need to increase their prices rather than limit the ordering, so the guest is still taken care of and happy! Just my opinion 🤷🏻♂️

Listen… I don’t want to call them out too bad because the sushi was great. It’s been a few hours and I don’t feel sick… so that’s all good in my book. Honestly they really need to take a rag, broom and mop to that place. Whoever is in charge of the cleanliness of the restaurant hasn’t been doing their job, and it shows. I really want to make this my new lunch spot. But they’re going to have ta get ta cleaning before I’ll be back!

Delicious! The staff is very quick to help and get you more when you're ready. The only downside I see is that on weekends it's dinner pricing regardless of when you go (which isn't advertised anywhere that I could see) but as long as you're aware of that, I definitely recommend!

Absolutely fantastic made-to-order sushi!!! The place is small and cozy, the servers are fast and polite. The ambiance is quiet and comfortable. The food came to the table fairly quickly. The only thing I would caution you about is....You can order from the menu, or choose the all-you-can-eat option. AYCE IS $30+ PER PERSON!!!
But the food is super tasty and worth it!!!

Domingo 3 de Julio cerrado. Actualicen sus horarios. Maneje más de 30 minutos porque en Google marcaba que estaba abierto 😡

Got a bento box and was 75% rice. Tempura was skinny, bready, and lacked tast. The half roll was average. The salad was sliced cucumbers. 2 fried wonton decent.
The total was $18 and change so won't go back

You're there for the food. All you can eat. Not a bad item on the menu

Yummy AYCE sushi options. I wish their sashimi sushi were included in the buffet.

Ashame, every couple months the prices keep going up and up and up. Contemplate if $25 ($35 weekends) a person really worth it.
Apart from the price, the sushi is really good. Location is very clean.

This has became my favorite sushi restaurant in Sac. The customer service is great, they’re attentive and super nice. Depending on the time of day, they usually get your food out pretty quick. All the sushi rolls i had tasted amazing. The price is also reasonable and not too much compared to other places. I highly suggest you stop by and try them out.

I was part of a big group of 15. We enjoyed the food but the service towards my group and I was terrible. Our waitress was always watching us and when we asked a question she would reply to us rudely. All she did was be rude towards us while we were just trying to enjoy our food.

Impressive AYCE sushi! Quality is great for all you can eat, fast service. We'll definitely be going back again, and again

Excellent service and great food. Much better then I expected for the location. I will definitely be back.
Update: Lunch service is not that good. Plus the place has changed since last time I was there. Mostly because of COVID so I can't fault them for that. Only complaints I had was the place looked a little dirty. Kind of like a chain restaurant. Plus the sushi just didn't really taste as fresh, it wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as the first time. Maybe that's because I ate off the dinner menu the first time and the lunch menu the second time. Also, they put the same sauce on every roll. They don't really need to do that, it drowns out the sushi taste.

Decent sushi for AYCE. Sashimi is extra though, but there is an assorted spicy sashimi side for dinner.

Azukar Sushi was a remarkable find in Sacramento Ca. While my Daughter and I were on a College tour trip thru California. This small strip mall Sushi Restaurant is very unassuming, yet simply elegant, its marble tables with white paper..the maybe 8 tables were all completely filled. The magic of Azukar is simple fair done exceptionally well. Their selection of Nigiri to their Wide variety of Rolls and Sashimi were impeccable in flavor and execution. The specialties of the house and their use of spice is an absolute symphony on the palate. Favorites of the day included The Arizona Roll, All the House special Carpaccios and the Salmon Nigiri and the Spicy Assorted Sashimi. Their fish is fresh and melts in your mouth, all accompanying sauces were all incredible. Will definitely be revisiting whenever in Northern California and highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed!!!

They got two dishes wrong in their understanding of what the ingredients were and gave two patrons allergic reactions.

Best sushi in all of Sacramento! 👍👍👍
Wayyy better than Mikuni, Oshima Sushi sports bar and any other sushi restaurant I've tried in the Sacramento area. I only speak from experience.
Azukar's Volcano 🌋 roll is fire 🔥, their Azukar roll is bomb 💣, their Night Club roll is the one you let get away if you don't try it.
We go here all the time and so far nothing else has measured up to their success.
Anything less than 5 stars is absurd for the price, service and quality of sushi🤷♂️.
Thank you Azukar!

They still have all-you-can-eat sushi from pre-Covid days, and it is still so delicious!
BBQ Albacore @ dinner time is sublime!
Limited seating, so expect a wait if you're getting AYCE sushi
Plenty of folks were getting takeout rolls while I was eating AYCE
Update: AYCE/dine-in is Fri-Sun only, available from open-close. Takeout orders the rest of the week, I think closed Monday

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE! It's the best sushi place I've been to hands down. The service is amazing, very kind, friendly and fast. The food is impeccable. Very well portioned sizes and fantastic quality. I haven't had anything there I didn't like. All the rolls are great and the doughnuts are soooooo mouthwatering and delicious. I really love this place. 100% reccomend to anyone and everyone!

Placed an order yesterday for over 25 rolls. I wanted to introduce my family to my favorite sushi spot. This is now my family's new go-to sushi spot. Thank you Azukar sushi for making great food!

Azukar used to be my favorite sushi restaurant at all. With all that COVID issue, and the restaurants only offering take out and delivery options, their food quality decreased significantly, but looking to support them during that difficult period I kept ordering online. However, today I found them very disrespectful when the website said my order was ready to pick up and after driving 15 minutes I found out they didn’t even start preparing my order. They only said “I’m sorry” and asked another 30 minutes to prepare it. I know problems can happen everywhere but the way you solve issues like this makes the difference.

A fun and friendly sushi joint in the North Sacramento area. The rolls can be a bit more pricey than other local joints and franchises but their sushi buffet is the highlight and quality is great. Went once with a large group a friends and had an absolute blast. Great for family and friend get togethers.
