This is really fancy place! If you want to dress up fancy and take your date to a fancy place it's all about the atmosphere here. The sushi is on point no worries there. They also have Mexican sushi which is super cool I didn't try it while I was there but looks really good. I had the sashimi and lemon scallop roll. Perfection.

Q: Why did the sushi go to the beach?
A: Because it wanted to become a California roll!
I remember visiting their first location by the Cardinals Arena, and I wasn't impressed. I've had takeout from the Avondale location, and it was okay. But this Tempe location? I gotta say, I'm impressed.
The JoJo Roll and Corden Bleu Roll were the winners (especially the sauce that comes with the Jojo Roll). The El Tataki Roll wasn't bad either. I also had some of my friend's yakimeshi fried rice and gueritos appetizers. Both were also very good.
It's gorgeous inside. You wouldn't be able to tell that this place used to be a Sweet Tomatoes. Keep in mind that you're not getting an authentic Japanese experience. El Tataki is very much in the business of Mexican-Japanese fusion, and it's great! Itadakmasu!

AMAZING!!! The place is beautiful on the inside, nice lighting and very cool atmosphere, My sister took me here for an early birthday dinner, the drinks were good, food was great and this is coming from someone who doesn't like sushi and can't eat the usual sushi due to allergies, I got mango and strawberry blended margaritas, the cielo & tierra roll along with the fried avocado and spicy edamame, it was all delicious! I didn't have an allergic reaction to anything and best part was the surprise that the funny, lovely and courteous waitress Alejandra brought out! She sang happy birthday to me, had a plate that said "Happy Birthday" with ice cream and a sparkler! I appreciate her for that & it's because of the service and food that we will be returning.

El Tataki Sushi Fusion Restaurant - We had driven by this restaurant many times as it is located near our house at Southern and McClintock in Tempe. The location used to be a Sweet Tomatoes that closed when COVID hit. It is a combination of Sushi and Mexican food. I am not a sushi fan while Victor really likes Sushi. One of our neighbors organized a group outing so we decided to join to check it out. The restaurant is beautiful inside. The menu is huge! They should probably reduce it to about half the size as the number of choices were overwhelming. Victor had the rainbow roll which is a combo of tuna, shrimp, yellow tail and salmon. I had the Carne asada Mexican Roll with tomato, jalapeño, onion, cilantro, cucumber, avocado, cream cheese, orange & eel sauce (deep fried). We liked both our selections. My serving was so large I shared with others in our party. We plan to go back and try other things on the menu.

This place has pretty good sushi, nasty saki, and the service was so dry and minimal. I was really bummed about the saki because I feel like you can’t have sushi without it so to not be able to drink even half of it because it tasted like it was rotten and then have the service be so meh towards his only person at the bar was disappointing. To the bartender…..smile. It doesn’t hurt you to do that or even just have some kind of personality. Bartender is supposed to be fun, chatty, make great cocktails, give great service so guests want to come back. You just missed the mark for me. That’s saying something coming from another bartender. Maybe you were having an off day 🤷🏻♀️

If i could do 0 stars i would the place is beautiful but doesn't match the servers. We had Diana C help us we were 3 my husband daughter and I. Our 1 sake bomb took 10-15 if not more to get to us so we had appetizers without a drink and my daughter lemonade got there a lot later. We all got our meals at different time so it was akward i had a sushi (guamushilito) which came 1st but she was giving me a natural one and placed other plates and realized she had the wrong table but said that 1 was mine and picked up the incorrect plates and took em to the booth behind us about 10-15 minutes later came my daughters kids meal burger plate and then 10 minutes if not more came my husbands aguachile verde. We wont be back. Others and bigger parties were seated after us and got theyre drinks and meals before us. Servers wonder why people dont tip well thats the reason. I still left her $5 but it was @ $109 tab which is not typical of us we take care of our servers when they deserve it!

Hell yeah, this place is bad ass. So many options, settled on a carne asada roll. It was absolutely amazing, and I really don't get real excited about restaurant food much, but holy cow it was good. Also at our table was the Tootsie roll, perfect combo of sweet and savory. Only complaint was we ordered a vodka tonic ( arguably the easiest drink to make ever) and they sent some fancy spicy drinks which we sent back. We never received the drink we ordered. This the 4 stars for service. Highly recommend.

Stopped in with my family of 4 on Sunday around 1pm. They were completely dead. I’d guess maybe 2 or 3 tables inside that I couldn’t see?. Parking lot was empty as well.
We waited a few minutes for the hostess. She finally came up front and told us we would have to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We were so confused because the place was empty. She said they only had one server and we couldn’t be seated. Instead of giving us a menu to look over, or have us sit with waters and wait, she wanted us to stand there or leave. Which then we left. Boo on your customer service. Having worked in the industry for over 20+ years, this could have been handled wayyy better. Felt like I was in the movie idiocracy.

Beautiful new restaurant. They have remodeled the old Sweet Tomatoes into a really cool looking restaurant. It is a fusion between Mexican and Sushi foods. I really enjoyed the food. It wasn't very crowded on a weekday lunchtime. I hope they make it. Really nice servers and staff.

We decided to go there on a whim. What an outstanding suprise! Loveley atmosphere! Super friendly staff! I've always said that the best thing about being an American is the blending of different cultures. It is specially good when creative people can blend multiple cultures. El Tataki did it superbly! Their sushi is the best I have ever had (and that tops what I had in SanFrancisco and Toronto). I'm sure that their traditional sushi is top flight, but try the creativity of their fusion rolls for a whole other level of flavor! Bravo to the owner and staff. It will be on my list of must go anytime we are in town.

We actually ordered out around 8:35. I tried to call to put an order in and the girl wouldn't take it and said they stopped taking orders because they were closing. So we showed up and asked what seemed to be the manager. The girl that took over our order was great and made sure we got everything within 20 min.
The food was bomb and I will definitely order here again.
Definitely recommend thier fried rice. So tasty! They definitely do not slack on flavor.
Garlic spicy edamame was delicious. The best I have had and it's one of my faves. Very saucy
The salmon lemon roll was delicious
And my boyfriend said his carne asada roll was better than he's had at other places!
So yes this place will most likely be our regular spot.
Update: please do something about your hostess, she answers the phone, doesn't know the food. She hung up on me after asking about the tropical mango roll. She said they only have the other two mango rolls but not the one I ordered. So I asked what was the ingredient that was missing because I most likely would have ordered it anyway.
I called back and a man answered. He put my whole order in no problem and got the tropical mango roll as well. The host is awful the last three times I've called and always needs someone else to do her job. Either she needs training or some sort of help but she makes it frustrating to call ahead.

I really enjoyed this place. They did an amazing job with the design and buildout. I love all the booths.
I read some complaints about the music. I enjoyed the music. It was not particularly loud. The kitchen was blasting Spanish music which might bother some people
My only complaint is the server brought us complimentary miso soup which was really good but not hot. Which scares me a little. As I was eating it I realized I probably shouldn’t risk it. But I tend to be a germ phobic and bacteria can grow when food is not at the proper temperature especially something like soup if it’s been sitting at an unhealthy temperature all day
I really loved the cucumber salad. It had some fish garnishes which I thought was very unique.
Overall I found this place fairly average. Prices seemed high but that’s the world we live in these days.
Really my only reason for three stars is the soup temperature. And nothing else about this place makes it five star but overall pretty good.

Strange place…
When you first walk in the place looks nice and welcoming. I thought to myself, I really like these lights. But then we waited 5 minutes to even be acknowledged by a hostess. It was 8:30pm and the restaurant was nearly empty. She asked if we wanted a booth or bar and we said booth. She told us it would be a 10 minute wait. Strange as the restaurant was empty. A minute later she brought us to a table that was practically on top of the other tables. Again, strange as the dining room is massive and the restaurant was empty. As we walked to our table I noticed what looked to be a manager laying down in a booth.
Once we sat down our server immediately asked us what we wanted. We hadn’t even opened the menu, which was at least 5 pages and beyond overwhelming. The service continued to be very rushed and her eagerness to take our orders must have distracted her from our empty water glasses. The food was good, and we enjoyed the sushi rolls but the service and atmosphere was so off putting I would not return. One appetizer, 3 sushi rolls and 2 waters came out to $75.
Highly disappointing and off putting for a restaurant we had hoped could be our new neighborhood spot.

The food is ok. This place is close to my job location, so it was convenient to go. My go-to spot for Sinaloa style sushi is out of town, so I went with a few co-workers. The rolls are extra salty. They charge you to use a debit card and also for a side of "adereso," which is usually given by the bottle, kind of like ketchup is given for fries at restaurants. Prices here are exorbitant for what you get. I would rather drive 45 minutes to the usual spot than go here 10 minutes from work.

Just stopped in after waiting for about 20 minutes for it to open in anticipation. I waited for this place to open for months last year as it was delayed. The delay was actually publicly handled pretty poorly. Being a consultant in my past and running some of my own businesses, correlating this scenario from the outside looking in, this usually means poor management. With a brand new business especially, this is a red flag because everything trickles from the top down. Which means: poor management = poor staff = poor service = poor food
Well I was in the area and I decided to stop by to give it a chance now that I saw it was open. Hung out for a bit and waited for it to open, which was 11 but waited until 11:10 so I wasn't being obnoxious taking a step in as soon as they unlock the doors
The first customers that walked in ahead of me were two couples on a double date. The short blonde hostess seated them and then came back to me. I never got a greeting but I specifically said "Hello, this place is so nice inside. I waited for it to open last year and I think it was delayed. Now I see why! It is beautiful in here." I got zero response. Nothing but crickets haha. It was kind of comical. The hostess just looked at me and then was doing things behind the hostess stand and ignored me. Then she said "I will be right back" and walked away. I said "okay no worries", kind of confused but whatever right?
She came back, continued to ignore me and let me stand there. So I just kind of hung out and waited for her to be ready to address me 😅. She answered the phone and spoke some Spanish and then hung up. Still didn't address me so I just waited patiently. Then 3 people walked in behind me. She says "Table of 3?" and they say yup. She grabs 3 menus and says follow me. Walks in, and the Guy follows. The two women stopped and said to me "wait are you waiting to eat?" I said, "Well, I think so haha." They then asked why I wasn't seated and I said "I am not sure, you are just as confused as I am." Then they asked me if I wanted to go ahead and I told them no it is totally fine and that I would figure it out. The older woman made a joke and said they were hungrier than I was.
At this point I had a sense to walk out but stuck around to try and figure out what was going on. The hostess came back and just looked at me again. Put her head down and then when she looked back up, she noticed I was looking directly at her pretty intently. She said "Table of 1?" I go, "yeah.."
She walked me in and I sat down. I looked at the menu & then got up and went down the street to Fates Brewing and dropped about $60 or so. Not a chance I would trust this place after that. Will never be back either.
Now I am not sure what happened here. Maybe it was because I was wearing a T-shirt and dressed very casual? Maybe she was new? Maybe she judged me wrongly? Who knows. All I know is that was one of the most awkward and unprofessional/rude experiences I have ever had in a restaurant.
I hate to be the one to do this, but having the experience I do, I would like to show why this is really bad for business & hope management sees this. Or possibly the owner to maybe usher in better management. I tried attaching what I typically spend when eating out alone but Google won't let it post for obvious reasons. So I will just hope you take my word for it. I'm big on food. Especially new places I've never been. I am also very loyal to those places and try to help them as much as possible, because I know what it is like. I also eat A LOT and have completed many food challenges people might be astonished by haha. I normally spend a minimum of $50 on just myself. Typically $50-$100 on average depending on where you go of course. Sometimes much more than that, if a nice steakhouse or whatever. Then I would be in the $200-$300 range.
Looking at prices on their menu, I assume I would have spent around $100 plus tip. One of me a day that walks out is -$3k a month, -36k/y. Might want to fix things

The food really was excellent but the service was subpar. It’s also on the pricier side for sushi - solid 4 stars though if you don’t mind spending.

So, I went on Friday night, great experience, our server was amazing! Knowledgeable about the menu. Female server long brown hair, service was fast, food came out fast, was great quality, manager was walking Around and involved checked and asked how everything was, cocktails were great.. so I wanted to come back the very next night because my experience was so amazing and my other friends wanted sushi.. I think I have a great spot I was just there last night and it was amazing.. service was slower and not as friendly. We had a male server..about 9 pm.. took drink orders.. my drink sat at the bar for a little while and asked him if he would bring my drink over that was sitting on the bartender well for about 10 mins. I then ordered appetizers and rolls, I am allergic to eggs.. and I am a big believer if you have a allergy and very picky eater you should stay at home and cook for yourself instead of inconvenience others with dietary demands, no nuts, gluten etc. But sushi is always a safe bet and I eat it 2-3 times a week and was thrilled when you finally opened, I love the vibe and the food.. but when I ask, hey does this roll have eggs in it you should be able to answer that question when you are working in restaurant. Be familiar with the menu and when guests have questions or ask you for recommendations you should be able to answer it. I order a carne asada roll, and I ask, does this have eggs in it.. his answer is no. Another reason I ordered this roll is it does not have an asterisk by it. “Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness
It contains eggs, was told it didn’t, so as soon as the roll comes out, i say this has Mayo on the top of it correct? And he says ya., that’s our orange sauce it has Mayo.. so if you work in the food industry, you absolutely should know that mayonnaise is primarily made with eggs. He literally rolls his eyes and I asked for another roll without Mayo, and tell him just to leave it because my party was hungry and service was not as fast as the night before. He goes back over to the sushi counter and proceeded to insult me regarding my order that I specifically ordered with no eggs to the sushi chefs..I had to go to the bathroom and heard him as I was walking in. I also was charged for that roll, it’s not even the money. It’s the principle, if I order something correctly, and it was made incorrect why should I have to pay 18 dollars because of it? I own a restaurant and know how important reviews are but knowledge of the menu is so crucial and shouldnt be charged if the item was wrong on the customers end. Over 2 nights I spent a total around 440 dollars. And will continue to do so because the food, drinks and ambiance was amazing, just know the menu when people ask. Wish you continued success:)

I unfortunately didn’t take any pictures however I will say the drinks are the only items presented well. The beer on draft is cold and nicely priced for size. Don’t come for sushi like everyone mentions it’s beautiful inside & club vibe, it’s basically Señor Sushi just nice inside & overpriced. Señor Sushi Tastes better though. Our waitress and the hostesses were all very nice.

It is certainly unique but is that a good thing?
The music was obnoxiously loud, the service was mediocre, they add a free for paying with a credit card.
If you’re going there looking to get sushi rolls, I hope you like crab or shrimp because every single one of their traditional rolls has crab or shrimp in it.
Their ‘hand rolls’ are not rolls. Think sushi burrito. You have to pick the entire thing up to eat it. I suppose you could ask for a knife and cut it yourself.
The place is beautifully decorated.

This restaurant is new in Tempe as of December 2023. It used to be Sweet Tomatoes prior to its close in 2020 and is now remodeled as a sushi fusion restaurant. The food is good. It's a long menu, but we were able to pick something out that tasted very good. The sushi rolls are rather large (like 2 times bigger than most places). The prices are higher, too, so the larger rolls mostly justify the prices although it still seems kind of expensive for a normal casual meal. I can imagine going there for a celebratory meal or if you want to share a few rolls with some friends. The interior decorating looks nice. We went in on a Wednesday for dinner and there was some kind of loud club music playing which I think wasn't really the vibe of the room at the time that just had families hanging out. SO - overall, good food but kind of expensive and the loud club music is kind of a detractor for the atmosphere. I would go back at some point but not all of the time. The service was good, too. We had 3 rolls and an appetizer that came out to just shy of $100 after a 20% tip.

Since I live close, I really wanted to like this place and see it succeed. But as a connoisseur of finer liquors and a successful bar owner, it's obvious and very unfortunate that they pour cheap liquor into their high end liquor bottles. I will never go back.
Visited 10 months ago
1. The food was pricey, which would be fine if it was the “quality” they portrayed to serve.
2. Their crab meat uses dairy as filler.
3. Their management was overbearing and rude to their hosts in front of me.
4. My order was for pickup and they made me have to drive back to the restaurant twice because items were missing. When I explained that I was irritated the “manager” immediately blamed the new girl the host for the mistake. Mind you I didn’t care whose fault it was I was upset that it happened especially after I waited about 40mins for my food.
Management lacks accountability and comes off misogynistic, overall toxic environment .. the girls working were really kind and helpful and were the only pleasant part of my experience.
The food was at best average. Not worth the drama. This place was best when it was a Sweet Tomatoes. We will not be going back.

I was excited to try this place. I am not a big fan of rolls with cream cheese. It is very difficult to find a roll without it. The rolls are really expensive and you don't get much for what you're paying for. I ordered a roll with langostino and I couldn't find much in the roll. It tasted like a mushy mess. There was no crunch at all. My husband wasn't overly impressed with his rolls either, and he isn't picky at all. We won't go back. Not a fan of paying a lot of money for mediocre food. Gave my money once, and that was good enough for me.
The service wasn't great either. We kept looking for our waitress to get a refill, and to let her know my roll was not enjoyable at all. We finally got our bill and we had to ask someone else to take payment for our bill because she didn't come back for awhile.

Delicious food, a super clean place, with reasonable prices, Dj playing while you are eating. Tito is one of the best waiter.

Really conflicted about this place. Interior is phenomenal. Looks gorgeous and clean. But good lord what is with the EDM music??? Music is incredibly loud and overbearing and doesn’t fit the aesthetic at all. I feel like I’m in a rave. It really takes you out of the mood. I have no idea what the manager or owner is thinking with the clash of elements.
Now the food… There are way too many items on the menu… Four, five? Six pages of just menu items? A ton of the mexican fusion items are way too heavy go be considered sushi. There are some roles that blow you away like the Arizona role, and then you have a role that’s deep fried and stuffed with bacon and cream cheese that absolutely kills the experience. Then you have the mango role that’s just way too sweet to enjoy! There’s so many different variations of rolls that there are some serious consistency issues when I bring friends to come and try the place out. Every roll is practically priced at $20 too…
Really hoping they figure out the menu and the music situation. If they could just nail down those two areas easily a 5/5.

Food was good but overpriced, the hostess was nice but the server didn’t even introduce himself he literally just asked “are you getting drinks?” Food took forever, half or us finished eating their dinner while the other half waited, nobody got a drink refilled.
Another think I think it’s off is the “gratuity” plus the tips for the server. It’s a sushi restaurant, cooks are supposed to cook sushi that averages $19 per roll, that’s what they do all day long, and I had to pay $34 dollars to the cook for 4 rolls of sushi, plus minimum 18% for the server. I usually don’t mind tipping, I was a server myself so I know how hard it is but this was too much for the service we got.

Elegant , romantic lighting, tentative staff....
Delicious is an understatement. We had the Lomita Roll, which had us astonished, utterly baffled at the flavors produced in a sushi roll....
Whether you're with a special someone or a group of close loved ones, you will find yourself on a flavorsome adventure, taking your sensations on an epic journey...

Walking into this restaurant, I was very impressed with the atmosphere. Central Tempe is lacking upscale places to eat so I was excited to see this. Things went downhill from there. The music was loud and annoying. It took awhile for our server to show up, and service ended up being very slow throughout dinner. The menu seemed pointlessly big. Maybe we'll try it again after awhile, but with the prices, they really can't afford these misses.

Mid-afternoon on a Tuesday was nice and quiet. I am a purist when it comes to sushi so all the fusion stuff was lost on me. 6 pc mixed sashimi was flavorless. Couldn't tell one fish from another. The slices were too thick - amateurish. The California roll was mushy. The highlight was the eel nigiri. Great flavor. Rice perfect. I probably won't go back.

This fusion restaurant is schizoid. The piped-in music was too loud, then replaced with an even louder live Mariachi band. Food was delivered to our party of 5 over 15 minutes AFTER a 15 minute wait. I liked my tuna tostados. The whitefish needed a knife to cut. One of the filets was worse. The waiter said, "Sorry."

Went on a Saturday, and they had a mariachi band that was too loud. You can barely talk to your friends. Maybe they need to install sound foams in the ceiling because the acoustics were just bad.
The ingredients aren't fresh based off of their $9 edamame. I would not go back for the food.
Gave it 2 stars because the decor was at least nice, but that's not what I would go to a restaurant for.

Came here on a Friday night and wow it’s was awesome! The restaurant is beautiful, we walked in and we got sat down right away. They had a live Dj playing all kinds of different music really cool and it went with the vibe of the restaurant something really different. The food was amazing we ordered an appetizer, couple of rolls and a ribeye aguachile, it was all amazing the Flavor was unique and different from everything else I have tried. I really recommend this place! We will definitely be back!

I really want to like this restaurant but I walked into a frat party at 6p and it was a mess all around. First off, pricing was outrageously high for what you get. Drinks had little to no flavor other than sugar. Food was below par. Second, what is this vibe? I felt blind sided by a live dj pumping dance music at 6p like why? I just wanted sushi, not a nightclub. Service was a mess servers constantly bringing the wrong food to tables. CONSUMER BEWARE

First time eating here today. We have had sushi all over the western hemisphere so we were excited to try this new sushi restaurant here locally. Your first impression when you walk in is this restaurant is it seems way out of place for the older area location on Southern. The restaurant is beautifully done with plenty of seating, beautifully decorated and lit providing a very nice, inviting, clean, and modern atmosphere. The first thing we noticed was the music. I have to say it felt a little nightclubbish, which was weird for a lunchtime service and a restaurant in general. I understand it’s Mexican/Japanese fusion but the music really didn’t do anything for us and detracted from the atmosphere rather than adding to it. I think better options could be found. A needed improvement in service seems to be the reoccurring theme in other reviews. We were seated promptly and our orders taken but there was little follow-up thereafter. It was not very busy. The waitress walked by our table at least 5 times and never stopped and asked if we needed anything or how the food was. We finally had to bring to her attention we needed drink refills. This should be automatic without having to flag someone down for service! Now for what we really came for which was the food. For the appetizer we started with the spicysweet edamame. I have to say it was really tasty with a very welcoming flavor profile. Great balance of spicy and sweet flavor. I kept telling my wife how much I was enjoying this take on edamame. I highly recommend it! I ordered 2 different kinds of Nigiri: salmon and yellowtail. The piece was adequate and both seemed fresh and good quality cuts of fish. They didn’t have spectacularily smooth and buttery flavor and weren’t the absolute best pieces of nigiri I’ve ever had, but definitely fresh, with good flavor, and I was satisfied. We ordered 3 rolls to get a feel across the board for their rolls: the Vegas roll (an old faithful), the Kamikaze (unique traditional), and the Lomita (Mexican fusion). I have to say the Vegas roll was very very mediocre. This one is hard to mess up but it did not deliver like we’ve had in done many other locations. Undersized roll and lacking in taste and presentation. It should really be revamped. The Kamikaze was good, not great, but a solid roll with nice flavor. We would probably try a different roll in its place the next time around. Definitely isn’t “favorite” material. And lastly we had the Lomita. At first I was skeptical as I had never seen cheese used on a sushi roll before. I was pleasantly surprised as it was our favorite out of the three. Very unique blend of flavors, very good roll. We really enjoyed it and would order it again. If I had one recommendation for the owners is when you first open the menu there are just tons of rolls to choose from. Just narrow the menu down significantly your very best of the rolls as reported by your customers. Be great at a few things instead of mediocre at many. No one can quality control that many different menu items. I think you’ll have greater success and more positive experiences if you do this. We’ll be back and hopefully we can find a few favorites to come back to time and time again. This place certainly has the potential for that!

My husband liked the wings. The fries were yummy. I got the fried rice with shrimp, beef and chicken. It had no taste. They happily took it off my bill. We will try again in the future.

My husband found the original El Tataki in Avondale off of an Instagram ad about 3 years ago. The food, service, and very cool atmosphere at the OG location was special and we would always celebrate anniversaries and birthdays there. It was a bit of a hike out to Avondale but we knew it was worth it. When I heard they were opening a location in Tempe, I screeched for sheer joy. Finally, we had the chance to go there for the first time last night to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. It holds up just like the original location….beautiful design inside with the blossom trees and the unique lighting, which is different than the original location with red and black walls and light up bar. There was also a DJ at this location and that was really cool….not sure if that’s just an opening deal or if it’s a nightly occurrence. He was playing some great music. All the same menu as the original location. We ordered the El Tataki roll, El Japan roll, El Bomber roll, Scorpion natural…all were fantastic and fresh. We took about 1 roll’s worth home for leftovers. Our server was fast, nice, and attentive. We could not be more thrilled that El Tataki is now a 15 minute journey and will be able to come back more often now!

There was a ton of selection but they didn't have some of the basic themes of a sushi restaurant like chef's choice and other foundational sushi traditions. Plus it was a little weird that they had a Mexican fusion you don't think Japanese sushi and Mexican. The sake was also a little expensive for what it was when I pay 7.99 for sake I expected decent cup what I got was a thimble.

Excellent service! The young woman serving us was great.
The fried avocado was so good, but lacked flavor. Perhaps it needs to be drizzled with sauce, sauce on the side, or something?
The dynamite (or something like that) was good.
We tried another roll which was also good.
Nothing wowed us, though.
We lived in Japan for years and enjoy trying American sushi for the sauces and fusion which we do not get in Japan.
This place was good, but not a new fave.

Not worth what they charge. Wasn't given the appetizer or one of the entrees for a party of 3. Rice on sushi was hard.

Food was delicious and fresh. We were sat quickly with a friendly smile. Traveling from out of town and so happy we stopped in. Just 3 weeks open and they seem to have everything together. Cody K waited on us and he was very skilled, knowledgeable and super attentive. The spicy mango roll was 10/10!! Definitely will be back when in AZ.

Went on a Friday for lunch and loved the atmosphere. Service was slow. We waited several minutes for the 18 top in front of us to be seated and were then told we had to wait 10 more minutes after, when there wasn't another soul in the restaurant. Items on the menu were not available to us and the food was mediocre. Went back for dinner and it was completely different. I felt like I was in a nightclub as the music was blasting and the hostess was singing along. We were sat and waited almost 10 minutes without being greeted, acknowledged, or served a drink. We left and will likely not be back. We went next door and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Went there for my birthday on 12/22 and was really impressed, our server was so nice and she was so helpful with recommendations. So impressed that we bragged to family and friends that they had to try this place. So we did. We went back tonight 1/6 and was so disappointed! The service was mediocre, our food all came out at sepeate times, we ordered 3 prime ribs, one only came out warm, the other two were cold and was told its served at room temperature, explained to the manager we've been here before and ordered the prime rib and it wasn't cold, she did offer to gave it remade so that took another 40 minutes. My sushi finally made its way to the table 10 minutes before the remade prime ribs were brought, which were made incorrectly buy eaten at this point because we were hungry. Oh and we had to ask for our drinks a couple of times. Needless to say we had a large bill for 7 people and was a bit embarrassed how we bragged about this place but was a huge fail for us. 😔

Great food. Music is to loud. Not for families.
If you play music you should mix it up.
Left with massive headache from the Latin rap music. We won't be back

I went with traditional sushi (specifically the roll on the menu cover which was excellent) and pork dumpling appetizer -- sauce was tasty. Also ordered the spicy mayo for the sushi, but honestly it didn't need any extra sauce. As i write this i want to go back for more. Decent beer selection. From seating to serving to the food, I recommend. TV's on sports at the bar.
