I kind of don’t want to give this place 5 stars because I don’t want it to get crowded … great food, great service, good prices, they give you plenty of ginger. I use to not want to go for sushi but I love this place. They have a roll that is crab and shrimp tempura cucumber and avocado.. sooo good..

Soooo expensive for what you get. Too much for too little.

Tastes great but I have no reason to want to come back for how much it costs to get full. Choose an all you can eat instead and enjoy getting full on sushi without spending $50 per person.

Rude staff, after answering the phone, stayed on hold :15m and then was hung up on. Tried going to the restaurant, and arrived :20m prior to closing on a Thursday night, and they announced they were closed! Rude, condescending and indifferent staff---all I wanted was for my daughter and I to get 3 sushi rolls to go.

I can't recommend this place, and if you are the owner and are reading this---I'd like to give you an earful. But, I'll give you honest feedback on why I'll never return.

Very nice hole in the wall restaurant. My wife and I come at least twice month. There is lots of non sushi options for those who don't enjoy fish. Cooks will also take accommodations for sushi recipes. Overall very nice food and atmosphere 👌

This place always gets such good reviews on social media. Decided to try it out during a late quick lunch today. Atmosphere is nice and fun, dark if you like that kinda vibe, the service was fine, but the food we were not happy with. It tasted good, but boy is this place CRAZY priced for what you get. I couldn't stomach $20+ for their special rolls, so I stuck with standard rolls. $12.50 for a spicy yellowtail roll. This would be fine with what I normally expect, but when I got it, this roll was literally 1/3 the size of rolls at other sushi places that we frequent. Not even joking, the roll must have been about a quarter size in diameter. Same goes for the shrimp tempura roll we got - larger in diameter kind of roll, but not even kidding, 1/8" thick in width. And then third and final, our avocado/cucumber roll. $9 and there was maybe 1/4 of an avocado with a strip of cucumber inside. All in all - if you saw the amount of food we got, you'd expect to pay $20 or under. Instead, it was nearly $40. Will not return due to portion sizes. Compare this place to say, Orient Sushi in Gilbert, their rolls are 3x the size and 35% less in cost.

Good price for what you get! I was not a fan of how heavily seasoned their sushi rice is, or that it's hot and warms up my fish. The fish was nice quality and large pieces. Much better than "sushi" you can get at a buffet!

Me and my toddler ate today but he was free. We will come back even though we are only here visiting!

I just wanted a few teriyaki bowls and would rather take this time to leave a negative review and take my business to a more trusting establishment.

The hostess tonight was very rude. Past that, we liked the waitress and she seemed to fully understand that my daughter had Celiac. However the second roll my daughter ordered, she became violently ill from. Also noted after telling the waitress it was my daughters bday and we went over allergies and that she has Celiac, she brought out a piece of cake. OK nice thought, but that makes me think she didn't really understand. All the food came out randomly which was also very odd. But the second roll, they definitely cross contaminated or didn't bother using GF ingredients because she got very sick pretty quickly. Will never be back. If you can't take precautions, say so. But don't say you will and then fail to do it. Eating out is so rare for people with these illnesses, it's really crappy to do thisbto them.

Very mediocre food with a nice commercial environment. Pleasant servers but the food, everything we had was as middle of the road as can be. Minimal sauces, dry sushi rice. About as good as supermarket sushi but less fresh. It would a safe place to introduce someone to sushi as the flavors were very docile. Or a good place to go with picky children. Zero reason to come back. $106. For two people without tip (which we did leave). And too many sesame seeds on everything; added to flavors not standing out.

I was there during happy hour & they need more & better choices for their roles. Also, I sat at the bar & the server stood almost the whole time by the register area on the left & hardly paid attention to the right area where I sat. He never even checked back to see if I needed anything. I had to go as far as asking the food preparer for my check. Because my server was more concerned about a game on the monitor than checking on me.

I recently visited this sushi place and was a bit taken aback by the portion sizes and prices. When I placed my order, I was informed that they don't allow half orders for sushi, so I went ahead and ordered a full roll of salmon rolls. What arrived were six tiny pieces—definitely the smallest 'full order' I've ever seen. To make matters worse, the sushi tasted a bit stale. I also tried the gyoza, which were delicious, but at $10 for just six pieces, the price felt steep. I spent $23 for these two items, and while it did fill me up, I can't help but feel regret over the amount I paid for such small portions.

Today will unfortunately be our last time in. We've been in before numerous times and always have a great time with good food, however that was not the case today.

As another reviewer mentioned, the rolls were portioned for toddlers and I don't recall in the past them being small like they were today.

At the end of the day, todays experience will be our reason for not returning. I've honestly had better serving sizes and prices at Kyoshi in Copper Basin.

Sushi Creek is a nice, cozy little sushi bar that has never disappointed! It is located in Queen Creek off of Old Town Ellsworth Rd. and Ocotillo Rd. in the northeast corner of the lot. My absolute favorite appetizer is the Crab Eggrolls, and if you like Crab Angels or Wontons, you will love these egg rolls. They are normally packed, so always make sure to call ahead. I don't remember the name of the roll in the picture, but it was amazing, and the other wrap looking thing was the Spicy Tuna Roll but was prepared as a hand roll.

Sigh, where do I even start…. Firstly, I started my training at a sushi dojo in Japan 100 years ago, and they taught us never mix land and sea. My master taught be the art of plating a roll, he said always put it on a fish shaped plate.. I did not receive a fish shaped plate. Our server was amazing, I’d actually tip her if I cared that much. I liked sushi, but then I ate here. I got a rare illness from the fish, it has hospitalized me for months. My life is in ruins.

Called Sushi Creek at 5:43 and asked them if they are doing takeout, was told yes they are, said I’d call back in ten minutes.

Called again at 5:55 and started ordering takeout and was told “we aren’t doing that anymore”. I said I literally called you ten minutes ago and you said you were. Their response? We are too busy right now. Wife calls and asks the wait time for a family of 4 with a baby…”ten minutes”.

This place has really gone south with its new owner.

And hey dude, it’s not libel when it’s true.

Only reason not getting a 1 or 2 star is because the sushi is still great, just how it’s been run into the ground is disappointing.

We have frequented this place since first finding it a couple years ago. Tonight was the last time. We waited about 20 mins to get a table which is fine on a Friday night. The place cleared out pretty quick. Wasn’t busy when we sat down at all. If it wasn’t for the hostess (who was fabulous) we wouldn’t have gotten anything. She took our order when our actual server disappeared to the back. 3 tables got their food before we did and they sat down after us. The manager didn’t really seem to care either. When asked we were told it takes 30-45 mins to get rolls. And they were working on ours. Wife ordered a drink and it sat at the bar for almost 10 mins. The sushi chefs were screwing around the entire time. We had them box our rolls to go and only after they told us they were just starting on our order. I gave the hostess a $20 since again she was fantastic and actually refilled drinks and checked on our order multiple times. Too bad as the food here is actually good.

We tried this place a few years ago and didn’t love it. Decided to try it again today and now I know why we haven’t been back. It wasn’t busy when we walked in. No wait and got seated right away. From the time we ordered we waited almost an hour for our food. Again not busy, not even every table was full. We had to ask the hostess who seated us several times to get our server because we were missing an item and were out of drinks for awhile. Then once we finished we had to wait another 15 minutes just to get our check which again we had to ask the hostess for because our waitress was nowhere to be found. Seems like they would try to make some changes based on the other reviews of people that had a similar experience. Definitely will be going elsewhere for sushi.

Food was okay but the service was terrible. We ordered some Nigori Sake that the waitress recommended - 15 min later, we were told they were out and got us something different. Then charged us for the one we actually ordered which was $5 more, the waitress stated ‘oh their the same price’ I asked her to double check because on the menu they were not the same price. Sure enough $5 difference. All of this would have been easy to overlook, but the service was just terrible!! She Never came back for water refills and we sat at our table after we were finished eating for at least 20 minutes before they came for our bill. If this was the first time this happened, ok… but every time we’ve gone, this happens. The restaurant is small. There were 3 waitresses, a hostess, someone working the bar, plus the cooks. It honestly is just EXTREMELY poorly run. There are only 9-10 tables, for 3 waitresses, this should be simple. Unfortunately we will not be returning! I’d rather drive out of QC for better service than have this experience again….

I've already rated this place but Google seems to think I should do it again.
When you live in the desert, you become acutely aware of what raw fish you eat.
I eat here a lot. It's good. You should too.

Edit from my 6 year old 5 star rating: I keep trying to get back on board. I cannot. This is where sad fish go to be eaten. It's like the Filiberto's of sushi now (no offense Fili's). This pic is $50 worth of rolls (ok I ate some but the bottom roll is in its entirety, out back together), and I'm pretty sure Tuesday's fish was also Saturday's fish. Let Sushi Creek die already. I'll, for one, miss your old glory.

My wife and I used to love Sushi Creek with a passion. We would even set up weekly date nights on Saturdays where we would find a babysitter and go to Sushi Creek to treat ourselves. We absolutely LOVED this place.

Unfortunately, ever since COVID hit, their performance has not been even remotely the same. And honestly, I don't think we'll be returning any time soon.

Where the fried jalapenos used to be light brown and crispy, they are now dark brown and often very oily.

Where vegetables and fish used to be crisp and lively, now they seem wilted, soft and bruised (almost mushy).

Where the sushi rolls used to be distinctly unique and flavorful, now they are almost uniform and bland. My wife and I would order our usual rolls every time, and a new roll to try between us every time we would go, but now they all seemingly taste the same.

I used to order the Joel Roll every single time I would go. The last few times we have gone, the roll was soft and smelled slightly (not necessarily a bad smell, but just that smell that fish gets when it isn't fresh).

Since the restaurant changed its hours and seemingly changed the sushi chefs, the rolls just haven't been the same.

I'm sorry Sushi Creek, you've changed, and unfortunately not for the better.

Update! What a difference! We have gone back a few times and wow. Much better. Definitely drop by and try it. Thanks Sushi Creek.

We frequent this place and have been over the past years. We noticed that the ownership must have changed at some point since our sushi has been getting sloppier and not rolled properly as it was before.

Our rolls started falling apart over the past years or two and today, they just come apart every time we pick one up. We’ve noticed this has been happening more and more every time we go. The Sushi rolls are also getting smaller and smaller! What gives? They aren’t cheap!

We love this place, always have, but it is sad to see it go downhill. We usually always end up with a bill that is over $100 dollars and the quality of the rolls just isn’t making it worth it for us. I mean, we are thinking about it every time we visit. That’s not good and I hope that this improves.

The other issue we had was we ordered 4 rolls, two came out about 45 minutes after we ordered. The the final two came out about 25 minutes later. Our table of three felt awkward by not having enough food for everyone at a given time. Not a great experience and this never happened years ago when we took other family members in to dine with us. Again, if this can improve along with the quality of the sushi rolls being tiny and rolled so sloppy that they fall alert, we would be happy to come back in as usual. For now, we’ll give it some time before we go back. Hoping to see our favorite Sushi place get back to a higher standard.

We visited Sushi Creek yesterday and as the rolls were super tasty it took 1 hour for 2 rolls. Which seems crazy to me. There wasn't a ton of people in there and they seemed full staff so not sure what was up with that. The bar drinks aren't very good, we tried the Margarita and the Bay Cooler. The marg tasted like straight mix and the cooler tasted like pure Malibu. We were able to have 4 drinks by the time our 2 rolls came. We got the Jason roll and the AK47 both amazing. Very different one is raw and one is deep fried but both delicious. 3.8 out of 10 on our overall experience.

The food was mediocre at best. The fish tacos lacked flavor and we weren't even offered lemon or hot sauce to go with it. The sushi was mid at best. The server got the sushi order wrong and when we let her know, she just said it was the chefs fault. It seems like this place really wants to be everything for everyone including people who don't like sushi because the bulk of the menu focused on "hate sushi" so maybe don't come here if you want good sushi but want some spaghetti and meatballs

Not the same experience it once was.

- Waited with several empty tables
- Long wait for food
- Sushi rolls kept getting forgotten

We started coming here 4 years ago and our first time eating here blew us away with the friendly staff, quick service, and excellent quality/quantity of sushi.

Unfortunately the last 3 or 4 times we've come have left us disappointed. Arrived at 5:30pm on a Monday evening with a party of 4. Less than half the tables/booths were being used. We had to wait 15 minutes and there were no other groups in front of us. Ordered our food after 5 minutes. 6 rolls and 2 entrees. Normally edamame is brought to the table, but after asking our waitress said they ran out. Entrees came out after about 15 minutes and it took another 15 minutes to get 3 of our rolls, but they never gave us dishes for our soy sauce. We followed up with our waitress about soy sauce trays and our remaining rolls, one in particular we mentioned we were excited to try, and she told us there would be "right out". Twenty minutes later 3 more rolls came out, but the roll we were excited about was not included, so we asked our waitress again and she said it would be right out. 15 minutes later she asked us how everything was and we told her we were still missing a roll, but that we had been here too long and we would just take it to-go. She rushed to the kitchen and brought out 6 pieces of the roll we were asking for. Much less than what use to be included with this $18 roll.

Overall, all the sushi rolls were smaller than previous visits, and the service was slow and forgetful. For the prices they charge you would expect something that doesn't resemble grocery store sushi. This was the least busy we had ever seen this place and it was our worst experience here. Sad to say we will have to drive further away to find another sushi restaurant.

We came in for an early dinner so it wasn't very busy. We were greeted immediately and seated right away. The waitress was pleasant and explained everything well, it was our first time in. The food was good, they messed my non-sushi order and I let the waitress know and she had them fix it, she was nice about and realized right away that it was a mistake. Our sushi came out about 10 minutes later and I was still waiting for the first part of my order. It came out about 5-10 minutes after I was done with the sushi. That's the only reason I didn't give 5 stars. We'll be back.

This is one of the best places you can eat Sushi!! The service is awesome and the people are so friendly!! Everytime we come the food is amazing, servers are attentive, bartenders are fun and the sushi chefs are great at what they do. The people here are very interactive and catered to all of our needs my family and I appreciated the attention to detail that they provided. The chefs were really fun to talk to and hang out with while we were having our meal. All around a 10/10 place and will be coming back here. I think the people that have a problem with this place don’t know how to communicate their needs properly because all our needs were taken care of upon a quick ask.

Intimate feeling setting. Not too big. Nice variety of drinks and menu items. The main server worked very efficiently to ensure we were taken care of as did the general manager. The food arrived soon enough. We were VERY happy with our order. We ordered three rolls for the two of us and felt very full. The ladies room was private and very clean and well supplied. I noticed kids eating food from the children’s menu. This restaurant does seem to take into consideration the tastes appreciated between kids and adults. We will definitely return. 🤩👏🥢

Honestly disappointing. $40 for three rolls. One of which was phili roll that consisted of only salmon and avocado… that is not a phili roll; and for $40 you would think they could at least put soy sauce in the bag, which we also asked for and didn’t receive. Probably won’t come back.

The sushi is priced for excellence but fails to deliver. Lots of fried options of low quality and poorly seasoned unimaginative sushi. We ordered the creek boat, each portion of rice and various fish or shrimp was as bland and uninspired as the last. We ordered 4 separate rolls, a spicy tuna roll, the red hot chili pepper roll, a spicy scallop roll and the other I can't quite recall. It doesn't matter though because they were all exactly the same, bland. The drinks were good, the staff was nice and the atmosphere was great, just don't expect quality sushi. They should consider changing the name to burger creek to better reflect most of plates we saw on the surrounding tables. Buck and rider and Sakura are excellent examples of great sushi and are similarly priced.

Went there today and was very disappointed , the prices have gone up but the quality has gone way down, I sent it back it was not sushi grade fish much less sashimi grade. This is a good example of how to destroy a good restaurant in 1 year or less.

Ok... been a customer for years. Now I'm no longer a fan. There are only two servers that actually perform well enough to get a tip. It seems typical that you wait 5 or more minutes to take a drink order ( 3 tables of 2 and a bar of 3, 9 guests total). Hopefully theres not any more than that or you may get no service at all. The new crew of sushi rollers "(can't call them chef) can barely keep up with an empty dining floor. The rolls come out well past Luke warm when they shouldn't be. And now food is being served on broken dishes.... this is not the same place from 5 years ago.

I would post pics of broken dishes... but there's no where to upload photos....

I recently visited here and my experience was underwhelming. I came during happy hour on the weekend and it was super busy. I was not expecting the dining room to be so small, but it is what it is. I was seated quickly, but it took a little bit for the server to acknowledge me. When they finally did approach me, they were nice and friendly. The food was mediocre. I was served cold edamame which should have been my first sign. The diet coke was watered down which was also disappointing. The best thing I had were the California rolls, but they weren't even all that great. The salmon rolls were tiny and super dry. Thank goodness my bill was affordable, that was the only other good thing about my experience. I do not recommend and I will not be going back.

We keep trying this place in hopes it'll get better but it just keeps on disappointing, the rolls are tiny and for a $17 roll that's not a good deal. Some of the fish tastes off and both times we ate there our waiter forgot to put part of our order in the first time we waited so long we said nevermind take it off of our order the second time he forgot it twice and it tasted over cooked, sushi is not cheap I think we'll just drive a bit farther for better food for a better price.

This was our first time here. We were sat right away but given one menu. We had to ask for another menu and 2 kids menu. I have never been to a restaurant and left at a table with no menus. They were out of tortillas on the menu so I had to choose something different. They told me they may have to substitute my meal and has me choose a 2nd option but never told me what meal I was getting until it showed up. Not a huge deal but still with everything else it just added to a bad experience. My food and my kids food came out about 30 minutes prior to my husbands sushi come out. So we all sat there and waited for his food to come out. It was so hot in there that I finally took my kids and sat in our vehicle while my husband ate because we were all super uncomfortable. I should have just taken my $100 and thrown it out the window. Not impressed.

Just sad, I recently moved to the area but I’ve been in the valley for 3 decades. I read all of the reviews and figured it can’t be that bad. Well, it was. I went in alone and was told by the hostess to take a seat at the bar, which I did.
The guys behind the counter paid me no mind. Not a hello, not a welcome in, not even taking the time to hand me a menu or sushi slip to pick my items. Nothing. But they were sure to talk to the women eating at the counter.
I waited 8 minutes after having eye contact with several of the guys and a few waitresses.
Customer service in this day and age should be most important and sadly, I got none. I spend a lot of money on sushi and I tip exceptionally well, so sorry you won’t be serving me. Really a shame.
I will find another sushi place and update y’all where to eat.

We have been going to sushi creek since they opened. We used to love this place and went again last night. It has definitely gone downhill. We couldn’t even eat the Hamachi because it was slimy and smelled bad. The rolls were smaller. The rice was undercooked And I’m not sure why they aren’t giving Wassabi out like they used to. I would say the servers still do a great job, but we always sit at the bar so there might be a difference there. I must say we are terribly disappointed and won’t be back anytime soon .

Burnt the Las Vegas roll and instead of offering to fix it the server berated us on “that’s how it comes” no it doesn’t someone left it in the fryer for too long. This place is recently under new management and has taken a nose dive into the ground. It was our favorite place to grab sushi but I doubt it will be anymore

We arrived just as they opened, along with about 4 other tables of guests. We were seated and were only told AFTER placing our order that they were completely out of salmon. It was in almost everything we had ordered, so back to the drawing board. We then waited 50 minutes for our first rolls, with no communication by our server about when our food would be coming out. When we finally got our food it had very little flavor, and was very disappointing. So much so that my date asked for spicy mayo and Sriracha just to make it edible. $75 later we left, unsatisfied and still hungry. Definitely not going back.

Its hot right now in Arizona, its probably just as hot inside sushi creek. That I can kind of understand, what I can't understand is every employee complaining about it for all the diners to hear. Don't talk to each other, tell the owner! We sat at the bar and had to listen to constant profanity and hearing about all the things wrong with the place. I would recommend to get their A/C looked at and maybe a complaint box for the employees? Just sayin'

The waitresses were super nice and a lot of families were in there tonight with their kids also. We felt very comfortable here with our children and it was nice seeing other families out with their little ones also. Kids will be kids and they’re noisy and messy and all over the place but it wasn’t even an issue here. I would highly recommend this place and their food is absolutely amazing! Try the Pablo! We waited an hour on a Friday night for a table for two. I don’t mind waiting and I know I’m going to, but we were told 30 minutes. When we got inside, we ordered pretty quick and we waited 45 minutes for six rolls that, like some others have stated, seemed like overglorified grocery store sushi. An extra dollar 50 for wasabi. You can see the amount of wasabi that they gave to us for our six rolls. It was like the size of a grape. We don’t drink and only ordered one iced tea and some potstickers and our total bill with tip was $140! So if you have a lot of time and money for OK sushi then this is the place. The sad part is, this place used to be really really good! Has gone downhill pretty quick. Our waitress was very nice. Everything else… was not.
