Impeccable ingredients speak for themselves. We go the distance to source our seafood, meats, and produce directly from fishers and farmers who share our commitment to quality, transparency, and sustainable practices. Our guiding philosophy is simple: superior ingredients, perfectly executed.
Our Buck & Rider family shares that enthusiasm for letting the finest, freshest ingredients speak for themselves. No fussy preparations, no stuffy atmosphere – just an inviting spot to enjoy the best our fishers and farmers have to offer, procured, prepared, and presented with care.
My family really loves this restaurant. I've been there twice. I don't eat meat and the options are limited for vegetarians. They have a baked potato and salad, which I didn't recall seeing on the menu. Some of the sides are vegetarian. They have a vegetarian sushi roll. The bread is good. I think I like the baked potato best. Dessert is good and very filling.
They offer free valet parking. The atmosphere is nice but very crowded. Service is on the better side of average.

Everything about this restaurant is top tier. The seafood is super fresh! If you’re a fan of oysters- go for their variety option. The staff is particularly kind and knowledgeable when asked about a selection of food. Got there a half hour before my reservation and explored the outside bar with a yummy cocktail. The restaurant itself is beautiful with very mindful selections of decor. Will definitely be making a stop every time I’m in town! I wish they would expand to Pittsburgh!

Celebrated our 11 year anniversary here. Just an amazing experience. Hands down some of the best food we’ve had anywhere. From the fried calamari, that was exquisitely complimented with a vinegar sauce, to the steak and lobster tail which was perfectly cooked, we enjoyed the whole meal. They’re exceptionally fast with service and the staff is friendly. A must if you’re in Phoenix.

This place has excellent choice of fresh oysters on a half shell. I like how their choices vary from PNW to the east coast. They all tasted very fresh without any dull or funky taste. Moving on to other dishes. The smoked trout dip was excellent. Baked oysters and the hamachi tasted rather bland while still tasting fresh. I’m not sure if they were supposed to taste more “healthy” but from the culinary standpoint, I think they lack flavors. Overall this is a great establishment and I would definitely come back for more oysters.

Celebrating my birthday with Mrs. V. This place has been on my foodie radar for the past few years. Located in Arcadia, perhaps my favorite restaurant district where you find neighborhood regs who gather to enjoy fine dining and amazing cocktails. Buck & Rider has a well deserved reputation as one of if not the best seafood restaurant in AZ. They offer fresh fish and oysters flown in daily, reserve steak, and delicious craft cocktails. Upon arrival we received a very friendly greeting and within minutes we were seated. Shortly after we were met by our sever Lorenzo. Lorenzo was very engaging and knowledgeable. While reviewing the menu, we ordered the crispy calamari, tuna crispy rice and fresh oysters as starters. Frannie ordered a NY strip steak, crab legs and a house salad. I ordered the New Zealand John Dory with roasted carrots. While waiting for our entrees to arrive I ordered my traditional birthday pour of Blanton’s bourbon. The food was extraordinarily well plated, presented, and delicious!! Lorenzo informed me that there was a happy birthday message (to me) on one of their menu boards. Very nice touch! Great vibe & exceptional service. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!!

Overall what a high bar this place sets - we will plan to come again next time we are in town.

This place is incredibly overrated and skates by on its reputation (maybe it was good at one point?). Awful service. Food was ok but small portions and drinks were weak—in no way were the prices justified. With so many other good options in Phoenix/Scottsdale this is an easy one to skip.

2 stars here's why:
1. Upon arrival bar seats became a reservation situation (ok but no)
2. Upon entering restroom only one sink worked there was no soap nor water to wash hands (health violation) in one of the two sinks (basic service provide it please)
3. When leaving buck and rider Noone said goodbye or thanked us for coming because all the staff left the building prior to the customers leaving
Clear issue here... seems company lost their culture 😕. Potentially time to exit stage left and enter a new restaurant that understands HOSPITALITY.. bye bye buck and rider we may never see you again ...

Andrew is a fantastic server. Very attentive. Highly recommend as a birthday dinner spot. He remembered and used my husband’s name (it was his birthday) throughout the evening, which was impressive. He was gifted a box of macarons (by the manager) and dessert with a lit candle at the end of our meal. Very cool reader board! It’s hard to find good seafood in Phoenix, so I definitely recommend for this reason. A few non-seafood options available. Delicious French press coffee.

My husband ordered the BBQ pork ribs. They were incredibly spicy and this wasn't disclosed on the menu description. It's important to let the customer know this and possibly provide a less spicy option of BBQ sauce.
He couldn't eat very many of them and refused to send his plate back to the kitchen. Other than that, the service was wonderful and the rest of our meal very good.

If I could give a higher rating I would. This place gives the best everything. Starting with the seating all the way too the final bill. The food is absolutely delicious. I never had risotto before and the shrimp risotto was off the chain delicious. The steak cuts like butter and that shareable roll to start was amazing!! Our server was very nice and personable. This place rates 10/10 in my book. Thank you for making my wife’s and my special anniversary so memorable!!

Im from Dallas, my friends from San Diego and we both happened to be in phoenix. Took a stab and boy were we happy. Our server was knowledgeable, checked on us frequently made sure we got drinks in before happy hour ended and made wonderful recommendations. Our fish, the reddish and yellow tail snapper were cooked perfectly and the beets were wonderful. The steak at the table was also tender and cooked to perfection. Do I have to mention the oysters? What a treat!

The food and service (by the waiter) were absolutely amazing! Our waiter was amazing. He was patient, attentive and very nice. I’m putting 4 stars because walking in the hostess was rude, she didn’t smile and made us feel unwelcome. We had a reservation but we were 7 minutes late to showing up and were told we would have to wait for the table to reset. I get things can be stressful but being greeted with kindness go miles. We were there Xmas eve between the hours of 2:40- 6:00. Arrival time was ending of lunch time

I've dined here several times but last night (Christmas Eve) was a miserable experience. It was very busy but that isn't an excuse for the bad experience. We had reservations for 6:30 and we're not seated until 7:15. It was for a party of 8 and the crammed us into a table for 6. There were lager parties that had tables with plenty of room. They sat a large party directly behind us at a spacious table. The person directly behind me had her chair pushed back from their table and was very close to mine. Their waiter asked me to move so he coild get by. That was an issue as I was already as close to our table as I could get. I am a big guy at 6'4" 230. He didn't ask her if she could adjust her chair to make space. Needless to say he kept trying to move between us and kept running into me and my chair like 6 or 8 times. I wasn't pleased with the situation especially since the staff there created the issue by cramming our party of 8 into a table for 6. I doubt I'll go back. All of my other dining experience there were pleasant but all it takes is one bad one. There are plenty of other nice restaurants out there to choose from.

First visit. Very fresh and well prepared seafood food. We shared the dungeness crab cocktail (cannot get it back east where we live); I had the swordfish; my wife had the shrimp risotto.
Our server, Helena D was very pleasant, professional and made great suggestions.
Hoping to take my in-laws for lunch before we leave on Saturday.
Highly recommend this location.

Today I had an unpleasant experience with the customer service at this establishment. I waited patiently for the receptionist to return, and when she did, I expected her to address me as I was the next in line. Instead, she greeted another couple who appeared to be regular customers, completely ignoring me.
The other customers even pointed out that I hadn’t been helped yet and politely asked the receptionist to assist me first. Shockingly, she ignored their request and proceeded to serve them instead. As a first-time customer, this left a very negative impression. It felt as though if you’re not a regular, you don’t matter here.
This experience makes it unlikely that I would return or recommend this place to others. Consistency and fairness in customer service should apply to all customers at all times.

Very good restaurant for seafood! We had the seafood platter as a starter and were very surprised by the high quality of oysters! Definitely the best ones I‘ve had in the valley so far! As a main course I had the Ahi Tuna salad, which was freshly made and of amazing quality. We also had some great cocktails.
The staff was super friendly too and open for all questions. If you are a seafood-lover, highly recommended!
There is also a complementary valet parking, which was super nice too!

My wife and I had a difficult time getting one particular bartender's attention on one occasion even though I'm 6'2" and 280 - seemed as though he had better people to talk to. Other than that one time, service has been absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend.

We are done with B&R. We had a nice dinner with stone crab reserved that we had been looking forward to. We checked in and waited, waited, waited for our table all the while having staff push us into ordering cocktails. Neither one of us drink so it became annoying when 20 minutes had passed and still no table. We ended up leaving because we were got tired of waiting. Maybe if we were in our 20s or early 30s would we enjoy pounding cocktails while we waited, but we are past that point in our lives. Why do they have reservations if they cannot honor when you will be seated? We love stone crab, but we will just get it overnighted from Florida to our home so as to not deal with the hassle of all this.

Loved our meal here- I had the grilled John Dory, my husband had the snapper, both were great. Our server was attentive and helpful, and the atmosphere is fun and upscale without being pretentious. Our only criticism was the lemon meringue- it looked far more impressive than it tasted. The lemon custard was great, but the meringue and crust didn’t hold up to expectations. Overall, would definitely return.

Great seafood! Shrimp cocktail was the cleanest, freshest prawns I have ever had...ditto the calamari. Smoked trout spread was succulent. And just to see if their turf matched their surf, I had their signature burger. Super savory and delectable. I will return for an encode next time I'm in Phoenix.

Visited from out of town, and honestly was incredibly impressed by the service. Seafood was surprisingly stellar given I’m from Miami and this was my first time in Arizona. Selam is an absolute gem, delivering an exceptional dining experience with a blend of warm ambiance, attentive service, and a menu that speaks to the soul. I ordered the ribeye, and it was nothing short of perfection. The steak was beautifully marbled, expertly seasoned, and cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with a melt-in-your-mouth tenderness that was unreal. Every bite was a flavor journey, as if each element of the dish had been thoughtfully crafted to bring out the meat’s richness without overpowering it. The sides complemented the steak wonderfully, adding layers of taste and texture that elevated the entire meal. From start to finish, Selam delivered beyond expectations. Whether you’re a steak lover or simply looking for an unforgettable meal, Selam is the place to be!

Let me start by saying that the manager Tina, waitress Amanda, and waitress Selam are AMAZING! I was with a group of 16 Physician Assistants, visiting from all over the country, for a retreat and it didn't cross our mind to call ahead and see if they would be able to accommodate such a large party on a busy Friday evening. As soon as I walked up to the counter, I was greeted by Tina who originally stated that our party would probably be separated, which we were perfectly fine with. She then led us to the fire pit for us to order cocktails while we waited. We were then greeted by Amanda who was very pleasant and helpful with our drink orders. Tina then returned and told us that she would place us in their meeting room which would allow our group to privately eat. Mind you, these things normally have to be reserved and I'm pretty sure even paid for, but she did this for us, last minute and with no hesitation. We then had an amazing waitress Selam who had a beautiful warm smile and accurately ordered all orders and delivered exceptional service. To top it off, the FOOD WAS AMAZING! No one in our group was dissatisfied. We are beyond happy we were able to spend the night with the Buck N Rider family.

We sat at the bar for dinner so we wouldn't have to wait, plus they had some college football game on their tv outside. Their bread was delicious soft, sweet and extremely fluffy with a perfectly golden brown shiny exterior. Their oysters were fresh and the homemade cocktail sauce was well done. The cocktail shrimps were a decent sized shrimp as well. The spicy ponzu dipping sauce for the fried calamari was on point. Foe thr main I ordered their elite premium new york strip steak. Ordered it mid rare and they got the temperature perfect. They do valet out front and it's a nice atmosphere a bit loud inside.

GREAT SERVICE GREAT PLACE TO VISIT AND ESPECIALLY FRESH FOOD. I CAN PERSONALLY VERIFY THE LEVEL OF FRESHNESS ON THE FISH. I haul their fresh fish to them directly from the shipper. Where I have personally watched the fish come off the boats and then packaged fresh, never frozen.
As for the food I have tried, delicious. The Chef's know what they are doing.
CANT WAIT TO SEE YOU GUYS AGAIN. Will be placing my order to go just like last time. 10 out of 10!

I recently had the chance to try both Lure and Buck, so here’s my comparison. Lure has a much more beautiful, beach-inspired décor with elegant furniture and attention to detail—even the ceiling stands out. The food at Lure was also more delicious and came at a slightly lower price point.
As for Buck, despite its high reviews, the service left much to be desired. I initially ordered the crab cakes ($25), and the waitress asked, “Would you like two? We can make that ‘easily’ happen from the dinner menu.” I was confused but agreed, assuming two were included at that price. However, I had to ask what the total would be, which felt awkward. She finally told me it would cost around $45—essentially a pricey upsell that wasn’t clearly communicated. It felt like a bit of a scam, so I ended up ordering something else instead.
On the bright side, the calamari was excellent, and the sushi was decent as well. The Bloody Mary was average, nothing remarkable. Overall, I’d recommend Lure over Buck—Lure is more refined, the food is tastier, and it’s more affordable.

The location of Buck & Rider suggests top notch atmosphere and service. Valet parking went flawlessly. My husband and I did not have a reservation and just hoped to enjoy a fun happy hour after a long workday. Being there was no seating at the bar the hostess sat us on the patio but failed to inform us that happy hour doesn’t apply out there. Once the server informed us we decided to stay and give it a try. Then the weather got nasty, and when the wind picked up the fan next to us started taking in tree branches and spraying them directly at us. We requested to move, this was accommodated and our appetizer made it to the table. So far so good. The weather got worse as we ordered another appetizer and the wind blew over a tree broke glasses at the table we previously were at and our second appetizer’s chips blew all over. Everyone on the patio was instructed to immediately go inside. Took a while to find our server and we were charged for the appetizer we were not able to eat. I won’t be back 😒

DO NOT GO HERE THEY ARE THIEVES!!!! I had a lunch here and accidentally forgot my purse on one of the table hooks. I called within 20 minutes. The manager said he located it after I gave an exact description said yes I definitely have it. I told them that I would not be able to come back until the next day. He said that he would leave it in the office for me and that it was perfectly OK. I come here the next day and some jerk of a manager starts gaslighting me saying "well I don’t know anything about that and I don’t have your bag." When I said I spoke to a manager he goes "well it wasn’t me so idk what you want me to do about it we don’t have it. " The manager didn't offer any solutions or even take my name and contact information down to contact me in case the bag was found. He made it seem like I was either lying or simply not worth his time.
Update:
The same manager contacted me 4 hours later after I had made several reviews stating that he tracked down the employee that had the bag and was able to locate it. He offered me a gift card as well. I picked it up and got no apologies for how it was handled. I will say I made a mistake and thought my medication was unaccounted but I was wrong. Everything was there.

I went during AZ restaurant week. The voodoo rice was delicious! it’s one of the best fried rices I had. The mixed greens was refreshing and acidic. The shrimp scampi risotto was okay in my opinion, it could’ve had more flavor. The filet mignon was so good and tender, the sauce that it was paired with was delicious. I would definitely go again to try their other items. They offer complimentary valet as well.

Very unorganized system to get in and get a table, even the bar. I was hoping to grab a seat at the bar but every single time someone got up, they cleaned it real quick and put a “reserved” sign on it. I’ve been there 3 times and feel like I’ve had such better seafood other places. This place is so over the top and trendy that the prices are adjusted for it but it’s really not worth it. Too expensive for what you get and it doesn’t come with bread or anything. Save your money and go elsewhere.

FABULEUX !!!

Everything was top notch, as always. We waited a bit for our group reservation, but they made it up to us with a couple free apps. Already looking forward to the next visit!

Phenomenal spot. Complimentary valet. First time in and Tanner was great! For alcohol bev, I got the Bobby Love- very refreshing. Started with calamari- amazing. My friend got the salmon (with the lemon caper sauce) and tomato side. I got the Louisiana Redfish (blackened) with broccolini- best fish I have ever eaten. Finished off with the banana cream pie which was out of this world, hands down the best pie we have ever tasted. The pie was so delicious we didn’t want it to end! Definitely will be back and recommending to others.

So disappointed in our bar server. She looks and acts like she hates her job.

Sunday, September 1st at evening my friend and I were in a red Toyota Tacoma, and it broke down when we were so close to Buke Rider. I had no way than put it in Buke Rider valet parking and explained the situation to them, and I told them we have to stay here until help arrives. They kindly let us stay over there and brought us cold water. Also, they said we can let them know if we need any help.
I just wanted to express my appreciation to all of them and wanted to say congrats to Buke Rider for such respectful and honorable team, I could see they were busy, and they needed all of the parking spaces, but they helped me with that situation. THANK YOU ALL!

Buck & Rider on Camelback is my go to restaurant for happy hour as well a good meal. The staff are great and the support staff are too. It’s always a pleasure to find myself at Buck & Rider.

Always a great experience, whether dining in or picking up… recently picked up a large takeout order for the family, it was ready on time and the staff person helped carry the bags to my car. That, along with quality food and packaging, is greatly appreciated, especially at a time when many other restaurants have become complacent.

Never can go wrong with one of Phoenix best. Catch of the day cooked perfectly, some of the best calamari in town, and oysters on point. Service is always amazing.

Extremely impressed. In Phoenix on a quick work trip. Food was outstanding! Dishes and drinks came out EXTREMELY fast. Sushi rolls were fresh and rice was at the right temperature. The pasta was insanely tasty. Service was outstanding! From our server (wish I remember her name!) and support staff, this was hands down the best and most friendly service experience I have had in a long time. Being a chef for 20 years, it is refreshing to have an experience like this, when most restaurants to not put the attention that to details like your team has accomplished. Keep doing what your doing and looking forward to coming back when visiting Phoenix!

Just a fun place with excellent food and drink. Service was great. We do not live in the area and are visiting for a week of Spring Training Baseball. This will now be our first stop next year as well.

I’ve come here a few times, never thought of leaving a review until I had such a great experience with our server. She was short and brunette I believe her name is Lisa. Her attitude and expertise made the whole experience second to none! She was always making sure that we were doing okay, and was able to answer all of our questions. The only way I’m coming back here is if she is serving us! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a date night or family event, ask for Lisa, she’ll take care of you the best!

Sharing our experience at Buck & Rider on Camelback! So, my friend made a reservation for us, but we showed up and were told it was actually for the next day! 🤦♂️ Our mistake entirely, but they still managed to seat us – they really made it work! Huge thanks to them for making it an awesome birthday celebration.
The place was super busy but they kept things moving smoothly. Our waitress was fantastic, making sure our dining experience was top-notch. It was my first time there and I'll definitely be going back!
By the way, they've got a great selection of fresh seafood!

Wished they would bring back the One Night in Babylon adult beverage. It was such a unique drink, unlike the one they replaced it with. The drink they replaced it with is a drink you can get at any bar. Good, just nothing special.

Absolutely outstanding! My wife and I went for our anniversary and it was not a disappointment. The staff was amazing. Our server was incredible. His name was Ollie! They were super nice and the atmosphere was incredible. Do yourself a favor. Go have a dinner at this place. You will never regret it.

I visited for my 7 year anniversary and enjoyed everything about it. The service was great, we ordered 4 oysters, ribs, and a half lobster to split between us which was excellent. They even put our names up on the board inside saying happy anniversary. Have recommended this place to many others and will be returning again.

Excellent food and service. Definitely try the oysters! I do wish the happy hour menu extended to the whole restaurant and not just the bar section and high tops though.

Update 7/29/24: arrogant servers, terrible service. Food was still good, but they don’t care about you. They even charge $2 dollars for a slice of bread. They’ll ask if you’re celebrating a special occasion and then ignore it if you are. Moving back to Steak44 for my raw bar cravings!

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Buck and Rider on Saturday night, and Rayna, our server, was the shining star of the evening! Despite not having reservations, we were seated very quickly on the patio, which was kept refreshingly cool despite the Arizona heat.
Rayna's exceptional service truly made our night special. She had a keen attention to detail, was incredibly patient in explaining the menu, and had a wonderful attitude throughout our meal. Her warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. The food was great, but Rayna's service was above and beyond anything we could have expected. We'll definitely be returning, and we hope to be lucky enough to have Rayna as our server again! Thank you for an unforgettable dining experience!

Of all three Buck and Riders in Phoenix, this is the best IMO.
Parking is valet, but it is free, and the valet staff is among the friendliest I've experienced.
They don't offer a shrimp cocktail, but you can order the shrimp alacart.
Their 3 - and 6-piece nigiri is always a good choice.

Awful restaurant. Not only did we get food poisoning, but they added $10 to our bill after checking my statement. They didn’t even care to address the fact that their food made us sick. Would never recommend this restaurant, awful experience and awful customer service.
