Hip, open-late sushi bar & cocktail lounge with happy hours & a private karaoke room.
Our group decided to come here to celebrate a bachelorette party because we heard they have a private room for karaoke. What they failed to mention is that you can only use their equipment if you know how to read Korean because all of the equipment was in Korean. The staff was nearly non-existent and we had to go searching for someone each time we needed something. The private room was dirty and the floor was sticky. The room also still had decorations up from Christmas which shows how much the staff care about details. The speakers connected to the karaoke system were loud but one sounded like a blown out speaker that was in an old busted up car. One of the ledges on a sofa was broken like someone deflated the cushion however that's possible. The only saving grace was the food which I can't say was the best I ever had but for a few hungry women we made the most of it. We couldn't stop laughing at the whole situation because it's not like we had time to really pick something last minute. A day later though both my sister and I were sick and I just felt dizzy and nauseous where she unfortunately had diarrhea and nausea. Needless to say I will thankfully never return to this restaurant and I'm actually quite surprised that they are still in business at this point. It must be a good place where people just go to get drunk and not care about anything else.

Let me preface with I have been coming here for a very long time, and it at one point was my favorite spot to get sushi. It’s close to me, the food was amazing, and they are usually open later than most sushi restaurants. The service slowly took a hit with some new staff, I never really faulted them though. I would just learn to not go in at certain times to avoid the bad servers. If the service is a little slow that’s fine if the food is worth it, but not anymore. Ordered a dragon roll it’s always been my go to, and it’s always been good. That was actually still okay tonight, however the cherry blossom roll came covered in what I’m guessing is honey mustard? I’ve ordered it before multiple times and never had that happen. After asking the server if that was normal or on the menu she said it was, but offered to take it off and put in one without honey mustard. I’m thinking to myself that everything is fixed. Until I get my replacement roll which was essentially a brick of cream cheese with the top of the roll being normal without the honey mustard this time. As you can see in the photo the piece laying on its side is what it was supposed to be, no cream cheese. This was some weird filler they did to cut cost I assume? I couldn’t tell you how we got from honey mustard to a brick of cream cheese but we did it. After plucking out all that, I ate the scraps of the roll and got out of there. As I head out I check the menus again to make sure I’m not crazy to find out my server lied to me I couldn’t find anything on the menu saying the roll was going to come with any sauce on it. I really don’t like that I’m leaving such a poor review of my favorite sushi bar but I am hoping this will help them rectify quality issues as I’ve been more tolerant up to this point. If someone’s first impression was this I guarantee they would never come back. I’m sorry for having to do this, and there are some extremely talented chefs there who have done this for 14+ years. It’s just been such an inconsistent experience this past year and it’s a bummer.

They have bluefin, O-toro and chu-toro. I think here's cheaper than other place. Super quality PERFECT price. I know they're bit creepy, but reasonable price with great sushi. Also, most of servers are very professional I would be happy visit here again:)

BEWARE OF SCAM!!!
The food was ok but we definitely feel the restaurant is dishonest about their pricing and tries to scam unwary customers. We were automatically charged an $85.94 tip for a $286.47 (post-tax) bill. That is a 30% gratuity that they magically added to our bill. When we asked about the tip the server told us they charge a 25% gratuity for parties of 10 or more but this was never disclosed to us, their menu only state "A gratuity of 18% for parties of 5 or more." The server also mentioned that this was a new policy and they haven't added it to the menu yet... (I find that kinda fishy and extremely unethical). After doing the math we realized they charged us 30% rather than 25%. We then asked the server about this charge and after a few minutes of discussion they finally agreed to refund us the difference and charge us the 25% rather than the 30%. Then we noticed that we were charged $48 for four shrimp tempura rolls which was listed on their menu for $8 per roll so it should've been $32.
For the server to tell us they couldn't split our bill because it would be too troublesome for her, it doesn't seem to me they deserve the 25% tip to begin with.
I would recommend people to stay away from this establishment and if you happen to try this place anyways make sure to double and triple check your bill because they will try to take advantage of you.

Was told in an interview, that as a server I would be responsible for ensuring people didn’t run out of the restaurants or else it would be docked from my pay check. Seems to be a problem- I ran too 😂

I like Saketini! They've given better service the past year or so. I really like the Vegas roll and the Cinderella roll. Their Gyoza is delicious too! Only thing I think they could do better on is the price of their rolls. Even on happy hour, you get 6 skinny pieces in a roll for 15-20 dollars. They get cheaper at happy hour, but it doesn't feel like happy hour. It just feels like the rolls are priced the way they should be normally for the amount you get. All in all I would recommend going here because the food is really good and their service has gotten better in recent months, so if you haven't been here in a while, go and see how it is now! :)

Where to start?? Drinks- I ordered a Plum Kiss it is a plum wine ( my favorite) with a splash of Sprite. This was more like Sprite with a splash of plum wine watered down. We ordered Jalapeño poppers which tasted like bell pepper poppers. I ordered the veggie ramen, it tasted like Top Ramen without the packet seasoned with green beans. My daughter said the Cheese Katsu tasted like penny flavored balloon, her dad took a bite and felt it tasted more like a pencil eraser. As far as customer service goes, we were sat at a noticeably dirty table. Waiter sat down the menus and immediately walked a way. We waited for a moment to try to get his attention then we moved to a different table on our own. Once seated it took the waiter a while to come over to take our drink order and when he came it felt like he was rushing us to get our order. Will we go back? Very unlikely.

The food was just ok, not worth price in my opinion.
Service was terrible, had to ask for waters after being there for about 30 minutes and the servers were sitting on the tables chatting instead of tending to tables.
Won’t be returning.

this place has declined in quality over time. this used to be a main hangout spot for my friends and me, but the food is mid, the environment is cramped and too loud, and the service is either pretty friendly or completely impartial. and its just not the fun i used to have.

LMAO. what a joke. 13 minutes waiting to be seated (only 3 tables were taken) then we finally get seated. THIRTY MINUTES. She didn’t even get our drink order. She passed us about 6 times, and brought everyone’s order out. STILL PROCEEDED TO IGNORE US. I come here about twice a week and never have that great of service, but this was a complete joke. We up and left AND SHE STILL DIDN’T REALIZE WE LEFT. we ended up at IHOP. Better service and was seated right away. Thank you, we will never be coming back here again & you lost a very loyal costumer 👍

It took us an hour and a half to get our food. When we asked if we could get the checks and food to go because we had to leave to make an event, they got frustrated with us and made us wait another 15 minutes. The music was so loud we couldn’t hear each other, which is saying something because it was mostly soft, depressing songs.
The only reason we went here was because the other sushi place in the same complex was closed for an emergency. We won’t make that mistake again.
This was a frustrating experience.

Used to be cheap and fun. There are now cardboard handmade signs throughout the place and a lot of tables are gone. Last time I had the udon and it wasn’t good but I figured I ordered the wrong thing. Tonight I ordered the katsu chicken and it was bad, the chicken was rock hard and the vegetables were limp and sad.
This used to be a favorite late night spot but it’s not nearly as good as it was a couple years ago.

This is the 4th time my fiancé and I have tried here and the service has completely let us down. We asked to sit at the bar and when we sat there so no bar tender and no sign of a tender presence. We were asked if we wanted wasabi and ginger did not receive until I had to ask after half the rolls were eaten then realized one of the rolls did not match menu photograph at all. Asked why one of the employees said menu was outdated sorry and walked away. We never received plates or chopsticks. When it came down to the check, the server who is serving us “at the bar”, but actually standing behind us, hovered over us as we paid. We wanted to leave a zero tip and leave a note but she made us leave a tip on the handheld device. She made the situation very awkward, very uncomfortable. The only reason we tried this place again for the fourth time is the food is good sometimes even great! But we will not be visiting here again. Absolute poor service for the fourth time in a row.

The bathrooms were grimy gross and dirty, not just messy from one day, but dirty everywhere on all doors, mirrors, sinks…My menu was gross too, all the pages under the plastic coverings were stained from something wet and it felt sticky. The floor was sticky too. The prices on the menu did not match what we were charged. The food and drinks that we did get where good, but half the items we asked for they were out of. My friend has an egg allergy and the server told us they didn’t know any of the ingredients of the items because it wasn’t made on-site and that most things came in frozen, including the salmon so we would have to wait for it to thaw. Our bill was $142 for 4 people and we only had one drink and we ordered items from the happy hour menu. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I will not be returning to this restaurant.

Idk - I started going here in 2016 and it was great.
Tonight we went and food took 30 minutes to get out. That’s ok, because there is a staffing problem right now - but nigiri was totally dry because it was sitting out on the order ready counter for 10+ minutes.
Place was totally crowded. They comped the food, and walked across the parking lot to the other sushi restaurant - it was funny, there were 4 people at the other one that had also left Saketini.
Bartender was nice, she had way too much to do.

Quality has plummeted, I used to live down the street and was here 3 times a week, recently came back after moving away and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was under new ownership. Took 20 minutes to be greeted after we were sat down, one drink had a fly in it, the food has gotten more expensive but the quality is a fraction of what it was, and the service was abysmal. It really sucks that a local place I used to really love has become so completely disappointing
Visited 2 years ago
The restaurant is not in good shape. I assume profits are low and no money can be invested back into the restaurant. Tables dented/scratched and chairs were ripped (strings hanging from wear and tear). Employees are poorly trained. The floor and tables are sticky a sign of poor or no cleaning. Four customers stood in front to be helped. No greetings, no we'll be right with you however multiple employees were standing feet from them doing nothing. Saw a sushi chef snacking while making sushi! Pretty sure that's a health violation. This is probably the worst sushi place I visited in the Phoenix Metro area. They are reselling Maruchan and calling it ramen. How they've been getting away with that is beyond me! I recommend avoiding this place.

I won’t be returning here, and I honestly regret tipping. To start, I wanted certain appetizers, but they were out, whatever, no problem. I ended up settling for the Gyoza, and when it was brought out, I realized I didn’t even have any utensils to eat it with. I had to get up and ask for that. I midway through my meal, my miso soup wasn’t brought out, and I had to remind the waiter that I ordered it, and he told me he wouldn’t be charging me for it, however, I was charged. My water wasn’t refilled once during my entire meal either. The food was fine, but I’d rather drive the extra 20 minutes to RA sushi in old town Scottsdale, at least there I won’t have to work for my dinner, or remind people to do their jobs.

If you're looking for a place open late at night, this is definitely an option. When I first walked in, I was definitely enjoying the vibe of the restaurant. Unfortunately, that was probably the best part for me. I've gone to many sushi places in the valley. For the price of the sushi, the quality was okay but it wasn't mind blowing. If I'm going to spend that much on sushi, I'd rather go somewhere with better quality sushi. It was good for the late night sushi craving after everybody else has closed, but not a go again place for me.

Joaquin was our server he was definitely not on his game tonight. The vibe was off and he was all over the place. The food was great and it came fast except he missed like three people while everyone else had their food. He didn’t offer any waters and I had to ask him halfway in my meal for our waters. He didn’t even hand them out he brought the tray and just left it. We might as well just got an apron and got on the clock. The hosts said he’s a nice guy but he’s having a rough night and that he’s “ overwhelmed “ boohoo you’re at work and have bills to pay I’m sure put on a Fake smile and get a better attitude. I wouldn’t recommend him as your server for the future unless today was just his off day.

The sushi was delicious, however, the waiter was rude and seemed like he didn't want to be at work. We asked him for a specific appetizer and he said "oh we're out of that", and walked away. Like helloooo, shouldn't you ask if there was something else you can get us? There was 4 of us at the table, and 3 of our sushis came out and by the time we were all almost finished eating, we realized that our friend hadn't got hers yet. So we called the waiter over and he said that he didn't write that down... he did offer it to her for free, so there's that. Also, they were playing Mexican music, so that vibe messed up the whole ambiance.

Sushi is good, a little on the pricey side. Had the bulgolgi and that was an abomination. It was almost purely gochujang and came with only onions and no vegetables at all. The ramen was very basic for 9 bucks (with no meat), another 3 bucks for meat. It had the same quality as out of the package ramen with frozen veggies in it. I'd rather go across the parking lot to the ramen place for 8 bucks for a bowl of ramen and a boba tea.

Don't come here unless your young and hot and not BLACk. Been waiting 20 mins with me, my girl and my daughter to be seated who are all black. Some younger ladies who's white, come in with no reservations and was seated asap. This place is not Black friendly. Stay away

4 stars!? Not sure how that's even possible honestly. The food may be decent but that's literally the only appealing thing about it. The owner is very questionable because there are several different reviews on here about his employee stealing money from customers with actual proof and yet she still works there after?? I mean it's completely apparent the owner doesn't care about his customers if this Hana girl was able to keep her job and continue to rip off customers. This place is gonna go downhill very quickly because from what I know he doesn't even treat his best employees fairly. Once he loses the employees that made this place bearable (he's already losing them), then Saketini is done for. Please don't waste your money here with this kind of owner. There are plenty other places in the valley to get sushi that aren't owned by shady people.

One of my favorite places to go for sushi ^__^
Super yummy
And the waitstaff is always friendly!
Edit: Gotta say this place used to be great but I can't go here anymore. On the pure fact that the 9/10 times the bathrooms aren't working or are super gross. My bf used the restroom and had to ask me for hand sanitizer because there was nothing to wash his hands with... 😳 They have a great deal on their sake bombs. But, it's just not as great as it used to be.

Horrible service every single time. Delicious sushi. The monkey brain is a unique and tasty dish but not necessarily worth what has on multiple occasions been the most inattentive service of my entire life.

Food was delicious and servers were very nice!! Was not crowded, so easy to get a spot with a large group. Loved our sushi rolls, saki bombs & jalapeño edamame.

The staff is really nice, the food was yummy..It is a little dated but quaint..My son mentioned the men's restroom was nasty but I used the women's and it was again, dated but fine.

Literally always a happy hour special on food. My favorites are served 6-10 pm. Been coming for years haven't eaten a bad thing yet!

Food was overpriced and one of the managers went behind our server’s back to add items to our bill we never ordered. Luckily our server was able to resolve it for us but it sounds like this is a recurring issue. This place is a little shady.

Well… the service wasn’t the greatest i sat there for 10mins before being served. Once i was served i ordered the ramen and gyoza. The gyoza was great. The ramen taste like it came straight from the ramen from the package. It was gross. Don’t suggest eating here they educated to me a lot of the stuff is pre-made and from boxes

Open late Great food ......service needs alittle help. Never enough staff late night. I don't think it's the staff it's management that under staffs. Overload makes for bad attitudes fr time to time. Not always?!?!

A sushi joint that serves fried cheese sticks should say all you need to know about the quality of the food.

I’ve been here a couple times . The food is average . The service I received last time I was there was great , especially considering how short staffed the establishment was . We sat at the bar for happy hour. One server had the entire floor and the bar by herself and did a good job multitasking .

Go here when you want to treat yourself to some good sushi. The chicken yakisoba was also delicious!!! There’s also a boba tea shop across the parking lot. Seriously, Saketini is a good place for some self care lol. Would give 5 stars but I really haven’t tried much there but what I have tried is delicious

Food was good, not great. Got the caterpillar roll and was very mushy, overly mushy for a sushi roll. Also got the the spicy ramen, flavor was good but was only mildy spicy for someone who loves some heat in ramen plus the texture of the chicken in it was dry even though it was in the soup. Probably would not go back but wasn’t a bad experience.

We were on our way to a completely different restaurant when Saketini caught our eye! Being that I LOVE saketinis we decided to give it a try and we were NOT disappointed. First of all the server on the floor was observant but not over attentive which we loved. The happy hour specials (3-6) were amazingly priced and we even got St Archers for $3!! Best deals and sushi I've ever had in Phoenix or maybe anywhere. We are also fully convinced the sushi chef trained in Japan, considering the excellent presentation of the sushi and nagiri and the amazing cuts of fish. Definitely my top place for sushi now.

The food is good but the service not so much. I had a party of 6. The hostess acted like that was an issue to begin with. The waiter smelled like cigarette smoke and didn’t really pay attention to our table he was too busy taking shots behind the bar.

Great take outs and sushi delicious. If they could update on their phone line. Tried calling for take outs seems like the lines are busy 😸 also last call on meals is 12:50am.

Amazing! The service was wonderful, I didn't get the hosts name but she was very helpful and engaged in conversation with us, we ordered to go, food was done quick, we're home eating now and I'm loving all this food!! Still so hot after being home so long, very fresh. I'm in heaven. First experience with this restaurant and we will be back for sure. Keep up the AMAZING work.

Sushi was ok at best and service was horrible. Definitely much better places to choose from than this place. Also could have gone without the obnoxiously loud techno music.

Came here for my daughter's birthday and Samantha was our server. She was very sweet, and was quick to take care of us. Music was good and more contemporary, and the sushi was really good! This is our 3rd time here, but we will definitely be back.

This is our new go to for dinner/ late night snacks. The spicy ramen is ridiculous. Great prices and super fresh sushi. My wife didn't even like seafood and still wants to come here all the time. Make sure to get a nice saki bomb to warm you up. Enjoy!

They have bluefin, O-toro and chu-toro. I think here's cheaper than other place. Super quality PERFECT price. I know they're bit creepy, but reasonable price with great sushi. Also, most of servers are very professional I would be happy visit here again:)
