Went here on my birthday and had a great time! Sign up for "the hook up" rewards for a birthday discount beforehand. I also got a free appetizer from my dental office where I work because RA brought some sushi rolls to share with us with some coupon cards as well. Daisey (the server) was a quick and friendly and Mark (the manager) made sure all of our needs were met and reminded us about "the hook up" program. Highly recommend for a nice night out! We ordered a 2 appetizers, 2 rolls and a dessert.

This by far is probably one of the most amazing sushi bars I have ever been to. The sushi is made to order and the happy hour. Selection is delightful. The staff and servers are amazing. Very customer. Service friendly very price. Friendly amazing parking. Very clean. good for happy hour late night. Definitely a perfect weekend spot. If you knew AZ you gotta check this place out!!!

Haven’t been here in few years actually before Covid, decided to make reservations and I strongly recommend you do this if your going to this restaurant got about six seated right away. Server came over we ordered our drinks. We tried the sake sangria so good. I followed that with a cucumber margarita, even better, had the Las Vegas roll, some of the dumplings and had the RA-Men soup it was delicious. did this with a side of fried rice threw the fried rice in the soup and it made it even better. If you haven’t gone here, you will love it.

Had dinner here tonight for the first time. I ordered the Ultimate shrimp sushi and Crunchy Rolls. Overall the food was good, the atmosphere is cozy and nice, and customer service was great.

It was mom's first time going there. The fish was fresh, and tasty. Quick service. The waitresses were very attentive. Met the manager. He was very nice, and talkative. We enjoyed the experience.

Service was amazing. My son didn’t enjoy the spice level of one of the appetizers he chose.

The manager noticed and came to our table and asked my son if he wanted wings without the sauce in substitution.

Constant checking in on our table without being too much.

Food was delicious and will be returning specifically to this location again.

I'm a regular at this location. I love the HH menu! This last visit was on Christmas 2024. It's been my Christmas dinner tradition for the last 5 years. This year was busier than others but it's also probably the only place open. Anthony was our waiter and was super friendly, attentive and although he was not scheduled to work was in happy spirits. He mentioned he came to drop off something and saw how busy they were and ended up staying to help. He was definitely a Christmas angel for them. The food is always great as well.

Went with my family and had a great experience. Got to witness a Karen have a meltdown at the hostess stand with a manager, and came to Google to see if they did a bad review and sure enough there's a 1 star review 1 hour ago so I have a strong assumption that was the Karen, but no way to know for sure. The manager told the Karen they compensated the meal so the charge will probably drop off the card but she stormed out like a big baby so probably didn't hear the manager. And she left at around 3:15... happy hour didn't start until 3 so I guarantee they ordered food at 2 or 2:30 and expected happy hour prices. Watching that Karen meltdown was the highlight of my meal and my whole family got lots of laughs. Entitled people like her need to just stay home and not go out.

We just had the worst, and most expensive, sushi we've ever had in our lives. Paid $85.00 (US) for shrimp tempura, spicy tuna roll, California roll, salmon sashimi, and potsticker soup. Order was delivered by Uber Eats.

The soup and the tempura were (just) okay. The tuna roll was dry and tasted awful. No sauce on it. I've never had a tuna roll without a (spicy) sauce on top. Ate 3 pieces and threw the rest out. The California roll was edible, but not that good. There was no wasabi or ginger that came with the order, either.

The salmon sashimi tasted and looked like it had been previously frozen and had a slight smell and taste of ammonia to it. Threw it out.

I can't believe that we paid SO much for the most disappointing meal I've ever ordered at a sushi restaurant.

The service here from the front of house hostess was awesome. Whoever was in the kitchen this night I waited approximately 15 minutes for a two item order. Are you short staffed in the kitchen? Or just NOT paying a living wage for anyone to care???

The sushi was delicious. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Not for a lack of trying from our waitress. When we had arrived, there were maybe 3 waitresses. By the time we left there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant. We were waiting to pay for what seemed like forever. We eventually got tired of waiting and walked up to the hostess table. Don't waste your money on the wagyu menu item. Two pieces of paper thin sliced "wagyu beef" layed on top of a thick bed of white rice for $20. Huge disappointment! Actually, it's a bit comical.

I don’t often write reviews, but after having had the displeasure of trying their poke bowl tonight, I feel obligated. I can honestly say this was the worst Poke bowl I’ve ever had in my life (and I’ve had a lot of Poke bowls). The sauce was absolutely rancid, and it didn’t pair well with the dish to say the least, and to make matters worse, it was expensive. I honestly would have been better off eating at McDonlads tonight, and I’m not even a fast food fan.

Just left the restaurant extremely upset. We were told a 10-15 min wait and that was perfectly fine so we waited and were sat down within the time they said. When we sat down we were given a high chair and another CUSTOMER came up to us and gave us hers that her child was using (they were still eating too) because she said the last child that was in the highchair threw up on it and they didnt see them wipe it before passing it off to us. Absolutely disgusting. I just brushed it off because i usually dont make a big deal out of things but then we ordered and waited almost AN HOUR AND A HALF TO EVEN RECEIVE OUR FOOD AFTER BEING SEATED. We were offered a miso soup after already waiting for so long (right before our food came out.)We could have been offered it much earlier if they knew the wait was going to be so long. The people that sat down next to us got their food much earlier than us and they were seated about 45 mins after us. All we ordered was a small bowl of fried rice and a ramen. We come here pretty often and i usually dont make a fuss about waits but today was actually crazy. Dont think i will be returning. This ruined my experiences at R.A.

Honestly the worst experience yet, especially for Christmas eve, the team did absolutely horrible. NO coordination whatsoever. We walk in, no reservation & get told it's going to be a 15 minute wait. Okay not bad, we can do that. So, we let the time pass by & then we get seated. As my lady and I were trying to get seated with the little one, we were handed a highchair, that was specifically told by a customer right next to our table, it was thrown up on by the previous usage & never wiped. so she handed us her high chair. We get seated and order a spicy chicken ramen and chicken fried rice. We were waiting for a while, so long even the server noticed that we were sitting there with nothing and offered a round miso soup, probably been 30 min in not including the wait time, just sitting down. 45 min comes around and i finally get my spicy chicken ramen that can be literally cooked in minutes. Especially at a ramen shop like JINYA. Something around the team was just not there tonight communication wise or even integrity wise as far as the FOH & BOH. (not the sushi boys)I had pretty much enough time to finish my ramen by the time my lady got her food (chicken fried rice) and I was expecting a plate or something, as to why it took so gahdamn long, just for some chicken fried rice, no kidding, its atleast an hour at this point & it was just some LITTLE black bowl. let alone have a little one and hes hungry the whole time just for some thing that should never ever take that long regardless of whats going on. Just a hassle in itself. it was actually ridiculous. its not even about the food, completely disappointed in the fact that they didn't even take anything into consideration, our time, our funds & the continuous support. I couldn't even eat at the same time as my son & woman. There is no point in going out if I cant even enjoy it with the people i'm with. I just dont see why id return at all when there are plenty of more businesses more than willing to fill what you guys are lacking. Get it together if you guys actually care, instead of just coming to work cause you need a paycheck. These are peoples actual experiences. Merry Christmas!

Went here for a celebratory date night and my wife had a birthday coupon so great start. We sat down and before we could get a drink order in the manager came to us apologizing over a salad mix up (Foreshadowing). We explained he had the wrong table and shortly after we ordered our meals and appetizers. We were danced around a bit for our neighboring tables, but I wasn't concerned. My steak was even better than my last cut at a steakhouse. We reached the end of our meal and asked when they stopped serving the soup and salad with the meals. Waiter Alec said he forgot to bring them out to us. His reasoning of "most people just throw them out anyways", shrugging, and walking away was great reflection of the attention we received that night. Then the check was brought out and we pointed out that we were still fully charged for items that we never received. Alec seemed annoyed by this and responded with he MIGHT be able to get them in a to go for us if we could wait. We had waited enough that night and simply wanted to cut any losses. Only when I got home that I realized that the lowest tip option suggestion was 18%.... For my patrons, don't sit is Alec's section. To RA, maybe put a lower tip option on that iPad until some of these issues get ironed out? Or at least another round through training.

What a dismal dining experience this was. RA was maybe 15% full when we walked in on a Saturday afternoon at 1:45pm. A few more tables were seated not long after us. Maybe 25% capacity, max?

After sipping on my water and draft beer for a bit, I noticed just how filthy my glassware was (see attached pics). I would be utterly embarrassed, as a bartender, if I served drinks in glasses that dirty. Our server said they were “scratches,” but glass doesn’t scratch like that. That’s called soap scum. That’s called “your dishwasher is malfunctioning.” I asked for replacement drinks, which I got, but there was no offer to comp the beer. No manager visiting our table.

Our miso soup came out relatively quickly, but it took more than 30 minutes for our salads to arrive, and almost 50 minutes for our bentos to show up. The tiny pieces of Katsu chicken were room temperature; here’s a thought, maybe don’t serve them on a bed of cold cabbage? And the white rice was atrocious; clearly overcooked and all mashed together. Like come on y’all, rice is a staple in Japanese cuisine, and you can’t even get that right? My twelve year old makes better rice manually on the stove top. And why would you put bowls of wasabi/ginger and dipping sauces ON TOP of the food? It literally deformed the sushi; tacky, thoughtless, and lazy presentation.

Our server was nice enough, when she was around. But we sat for a long time with empty and dirty glasses. And it’s obvious that there is something fundamentally wrong in the kitchen. And I didn’t even bother mentioning the hard piece of red plastic, likely part of a broken bowl or spoon, in the miso soup that I bit down on accidentally. Like, how many negative things can happen in a single dining experience?

Never again, RA. I’ve given you plenty of chances, but it’s clear that the people here who should care simply don’t care. And can you blame them? The corporation clearly doesn’t seem to care, so why would the people on the ground? I will go to any length to never spend my money here again.

The service and the food was phenomenal. We sat at the bar and had the octopus (tako), the Las Vegas roll, the garlic edamame and the filet mignon and chicken and finished with a coconut creme brulee. Each dish was flavorful and fulfilling. Highly recommend coming here for a late night dinner.

Genuinely fantastic food. I would put the options, and the flavor, on par with some of the sushi greats like Dokku or Union in Chicago.

Service was a bit slow, restaurant wasn’t very busy, but the manager and server were very gracious and very kind.

Fresh wasabi is on the menu, just ask! If you haven’t had it before, you need to try.

Also, ask about the “hot mess” appetizer!

IV been to ra 2 times the first time was amazing the second was not the best experience we got there and requested to be seated outside since it's cooler was seated and waited for 10 mins for a server she told us she had just got on and was sorry for the wait ok cool now we was very understanding but when we got our dishes we had no silverware no napkins no nothing we had asked you know itd be nice if we had something to eat out food with the waiter proceeded to say that was someone else's responsibility but we get us some we waited over 20 mins for soy dish utensils and everything finally got tired of waiting and ate with our hands or the chicken skewers sticks then waited forever for the bill only for anther hostess to bring us the bill and us express how disappointed was we was in service and she proceeded to say she's sorry she just came on needless to say we spent over a $100 and very disappointed the food was amazing tho but service seriously was not

Been here MANY times. Feels like a Twilight Zone episode. It's Friday night, place is EMPTY! Waiting way too long to even get seated. Asked for water, never got it. Gyoza was undercooked, food was bland. Sushi "chefs" looked bored-as-hell. Found some "organic" something floating in my Sake. OMG, what happened to this place? Felt like a dive. Gross!

I always stop by and have had good not great service I roll in and waited for 20 minutes at the bar when the place is empty no water barely a menu and the dude never came back. I was a ghost, not one person came up to me and asked. So i left and started looking for different place to eat sushi.

Cameron is the man. He’s a 5 star sushi chef master in the making. Not only can he make the best sushi in town, but he does it faster than I’ve ever seen anyone do it. He makes it look easy like an Olympic gymnast doing the high bar routine, except he’s doing the night bar routine. He’s here most nights and weekends! Catch him if you can, and leave a big tip!

Came here for bday meal because the place we really wanted had over an hour wait. Arrived, asked about the wait, was told about 10 minutes by a disinterested hostess. Asked if we could sit outside in which she answered that it would still be the same amount of time for the wait. I was fine with the wait time, I just thought it would be better so my toddler wouldn’t interrupt anyone else’s dinner as there was only one other table outside.

Sadie was our server- I found her name only by the receipt. She was super nice, however nice only gets you so far and one can only be called “my dear” so many times before it sounds condescending…and that is coming from a Southerner. We were greeted within a timely manner, waters brought for two of three of us- the third on “fell”. We order and we get informed that substituting 1 piece of fish for the shrimp that my guy is highly allergic to might be a couple extra dollars. Fine whatever, he is worth paying a couple dollars extra so we don’t have to visit the ER. Another guys brings our toddler his water another little bit later-however, it was only a cup and a straw-nothing in it. Around 10 minutes or so later, we get informed that our entrees were ready and would be out and then Sadie got confused when I gave her a look. She tried to school me again letting me know that the sushi bar gets backed up sometimes and so stuff out of the kitchen comes out quicker…. I get that but we hadn’t even received our apps yet. Few minutes later we get our appetizers and get told that those weren’t ours, it was another table with the EXACT SAME ORDER. Spent the entire visit letting them know everything that we were needing instead of being able to enjoy anything when it arrived. Basic things like napkins and something to eat with, water refills (only got to happen once and it wasn’t until toward the end of the visit). The mochi desserts took a long while to come out but instead of asking someone to run it or saying she forgot to order it she once again blamed the kitchen. They were pretty soft and melty by the time they hit the table.

The GM Luis did make two appearances asking how things were but instead of owing their shortcomings he made excuses saying that he was there to help and the servers weren’t used to having people on the patio. Did absolutely NOTHING at all to make me feel like a valued guest or try to actually remedy anything that happened. He was pretty useless and nothing more than a backwaiter. They couldn’t even get my bill correct and Sadie put the blame on Luis even though she should’ve looked at it before handing it to me.
I have been out of the industry for a couple years now, but do remember that as a server, my tables should never have to ask for the bare necessities. And as a manager, guests should not be made to feel like they are just another ticket and it doesn’t matter if they get repeat business because they must have so many people going there that they can afford to lose any number of customers.

I will say that even the credit machine knew that a tip wasn’t earned, but I still left something because typically bussers and sushi chefs get tipped out based on sales. I also know another one of the servers told her table that she didn’t want or need to get the dirty dishes off the table when her guests were done because they had a busser tonight.

So many restaurants in the valley- you could probably get treated better at any of them. RA used to have great service and food that didn’t taste like it had been sitting for a while, but it seems that that changed.

I had to try it love seafood. We got right in got seated Mackinsey was our server and she was awesome friendly didn't smother us. We ordered and Mackinsey brought out everything as we ordered. The sushi was fresh and delicious and I will be back and recommend RA Sushi the food and the service. 5 stars for our server Mackinsey.

I am not one to send reviews very often, but I wanted to share my awesome experience at RA Sushi a couple of days ago. I was pleasantly surprised at what awesome service we received from our delightful server, Kinsey! She greeted us with a smile, took our drink order right away, drinks came to our table right away, she then came and took our order, answered all of our questions about the menu items , served us so well, very efficient, not rushed . Perfection. Thank you for such a great first experience at RA. We will be back !

Came in with my girlfriend about an hour before close and we enjoyed everything about our experience. Our waiter, Zack, was alone running the dining room and was high energy, attentive, provided suggestions, and overall was very pleasant.
We had a small issue where we got cucumber in our roll in place of avocado. Zack was apologetic and very quick to get the issue resolved. Furthermore, when asked to make another roll, the sushi chef, Cam, reacted quickly and was positive about the situation. Both Zack and Cam displayed such noticeable positive energy and seemed genuinely grateful for the patrons of the restaurant. The manager was also helping around the dining room and took our photo along with a printed copy.
Overall the food was very good and was delivered extremely fast. The service and atmosphere were fantastic, especially considering we came in late on a Monday. Lastly the happy hour prices can’t be beat! We will be back soon!

Came here for a birthday dinner with the family, was not impressed with the service, we were waiting forever for our food to come out and it was not busy, all came out separate, the drinks were not good, ordered sake bombers and they said they were out, will not be returning here. Surprised. You would think with the location of the restaurant it would be good.

Incredible experience! I came with my girlfriend to celebrate a big accomplishment for work. This place made it a very special experience. Food was phenomenal, try the Pinnacle wontons 👌. We were even approached by Allie, the hostess, about having a picture taken of us and printed. High level experience they created for us, I'm grateful.

Service was amazing. My son didn’t enjoy the spice level of one of the appetizers he chose.

The manager noticed and came to our table and asked my son if he wanted wings without the sauce in substitution.

Constant checking in on our table without being too much.

Food was delicious and will be returning specifically to this location again.

I went there today for lunch right when they opened. Keiko was a fantastic server. Fast, attentive service and she was such a sweetheart.

I hadn't been here in awhile because I live a bit from Ra, but it was worth the drive. I got a salmon teriyaki and sashimi bento box that came with a salad, miso soup, tempura and rice. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.

I got a free photo taken of myself by the hostess too. They printed it off and put it in a cute Ra themed frame.

Great experience! I hope to be on this side of town again soon.

We had a fantastic dinner! We came in around 6pm on Sunday night and there was no wait, which is crazy, because it’s Happy Hour on Sundays after 3pm! We got some great apps and rolls on Happy Hour prices! Kako Nicole was our Server and she was on top of everything. She kept our waters full and recommended a roll that was really good and it was on Happy Hour! She was friendly and fast! The manager stopped by our table and checked in and even picked up some trash off the floor as he walked by. We were impressed and will definitely come back again! Only downside was that it was freezing- the air could be turned down a notch!

Decent lunch combos. Fair prices, friendly service, nice vibe. Not the absolute last word in a sushi experience, but not $150 per person. Lunch here is $16-$19 ish plus beverage/tax/tip. Considering the prices, the value is very solid value!

I’ve been coming to this Ra location for over 10 years. The bartenders, wait staff, and managers are incredibly friendly, outgoing, and accommodating. Abby, Anthony, and Makayla are rockstar bartenders and very attentive. The manager, Jared, always makes it a point to say hello and make you feel welcomed like family. The sushi rolls were loosely wrapped. The seaweed salad made up for it. The wait staff was terrible. It took at least 30 minutes to be acknowledged. It took so long to get the food that it wasn't worth it. The miso soup was cold, and the sushi looked like it had a bite taken out of it.

My boyfriend and I went in on Saturday night and our server was awful. I wish I could leave her name but unfortunately when she came up to our table she didn’t introduce herself, stared at her nails, and asked for our drinks and didn’t even look at us. She seemed very annoyed and like she didn’t want to be there but we brushed it off and thought maybe something just happened so we’ll wait it out. Unfortunately she came to fill our waters once (the one time she checked on us), when she dropped off our food said “it’s hot”, Slammed it on the table, and walked away. Didn’t ask if we needed anything else or anything. I ended up flagging her down and asked for some eel sauce, again didn’t even look at me, said ok, and walked away. After that she NEVER came back by our table. We tried making eye contact with her but she wouldn’t ever look our direction. It was busy during this time but we watched her stand at the bar doing nothing besides talking and disappearing to the back. In order for us to get the check and leave we had to ask who I’m assuming was the manager (super nice guy) for the check! I’m never one to leave reviews but the lack of friendliness is sad to see, especially at a place with AMAZING reviews! Our server was a girl, lots of tattoos and gauges. I hope it was just an off day for her and that her other tables at least got better service. Other than all that lol the food was super good and all the other servers seemed very sweet and we’re constantly running table to table to make sure their guests were happy! :)

Came here with my wife for an early dinner. The experience was fantastic from the time we walked in and were greeted by Ariel and Walter (the manager). They made us feel so welcome and appreciated (a nice way to feel these days).
Our waitress, Tatiana, was fresh and had the absolute right attitude. This trio of staff is a winning combination!
The food was good as usual. No complaints there either. Just wanted to shout out to Walter, Ariel and Tatiana for making our evening perfect!

I went this evening to Ra for a birthday meal after work and it was fantastic! Very nice atmosphere as always. Jessica waited on me from the bar and she was great coming back to check on me often! I started with miso soup and chili edamame and then ordered the chili shrimp roll that had a good kick to it! I recommend it all. Mark the manager came over and wished me happy birthday and talked to me for a minute as he approved my $20 birthday coupon sent to me via email. I ended with the cinnamon gelato dessert which I also recommend! It was another great experience there and I really did enjoy myself!

Me and my 2 friends decided to have lunch before heading to the airport.
Service is horrible slow, waited for everything, waiting for food waiting for utensils, waiting for soup for salad.
We were very understanding and try to be empathetic with the only server with many table even it took us almost 2 hours to finish our lunch.
However after that we ask for 3 separate check and they are all messed up and we ask for receipts (another 8 mins wait to print them) we all found out that we were charged for stupid Clove Visa (+$4.33) on all of our 3 ticket without notice.

It is really horrible experience dining in ever.
This will be my last time!

Went with my family and had a great experience. Got to witness a Karen have a meltdown at the hostess stand with a manager, and came to Google to see if they did a bad review and sure enough there's a 1 star review 1 hour ago so I have a strong assumption that was the Karen, but no way to know for sure. The manager told the Karen they compensated the meal so the charge will probably drop off the card but she stormed out like a big baby so probably didn't hear the manager. And she left at around 3:15... happy hour didn't start until 3 so I guarantee they ordered food at 2 or 2:30 and expected happy hour prices. Watching that Karen meltdown was the highlight of my meal and my whole family got lots of laughs. Entitled people like her need to just stay home and not go out.

Went there for the first time a few days ago. Service was bad. Other tables got their food before us even though we ordered before them. Server made a lame excuse that it was a problem in the back of house that we were forgotten. At the end of meal, server asks if we are paying cash or card. We say card and she says she can take care of it right there. She told us the price which seemed very high. We gave her the card, paid the tip and then she asks if we want a receipt. I said yes, she goes and brings back the itemized bill and then saw that we were not given HH prices on our drinks. She gets manager involved, he checks the bill told us what the price should have been and says he will fix it. So far our card has not been credited. Something doesn't seem right when you pay for your meal and not see exactly what you are charged for until after you pay.
