SushiBrokers is sushi and more... Fresh top quality fish, expertly prepared by our amazing sushi chefs. Choose from a variety of creative sushi rolls, including several that can be found only at SushiBrokers.
Our waitress seemed like she hated life but aside from that this was an awesome experience and they had great music playing! It had a very night clubby vibe in some ways but I was told it’s not normally like that. I enjoyed it the food was great my only hang up was that the waitress was rude and impatient.

Pretty tasty but we only tried a couple rolls. Kinda pricey for a decent roll. Read the menu carefully since not all rolls are seaweed rolled. Some were soy paper and some were just fish. Definitely wouldn't try all the rolls since they were kinda nontraditional. Personally not a fan of soy paper and the one wrapped in fish had no rice...so it's not even sushi...

Best sushi in town!! I took my family out to eat last night, Allison took care of us; she was warm, inviting, and made sure my son was very happy. The bartender, tall guy with a goatee made a super tasty Tokyo Colada ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️The sushi is delicious, ingredients are fresh, and presentation on point. Really cute place with good music. I would recommend it to everyone! 😌

We came in as a party of 12. The waiter would bairly come to our table and we couldn't find him most the time. Drinks took forever to arrive, even just a draft beer. They ran out of cups. Food took an eternity as well. My husband and I ordered 2 rolls. Everyone else got their food and drinks (even tho they ordered after us) and we didn't. We ended up telling the manager to cancel it. She walked away with no response or apology and we never saw her again. The server ended up telling us that they haven't been paying him so basically he could care less. Never coming here again.

Been here once before and was so good. Went here tonight and wow a change. Order drinks took forever and they weren’t even busy. Customers getting styrofoam cups due to no clean glasses . Employees complaining about not getting paid. Ordered a burger was told didn’t get meat. Other food ordered never arrived. Here for two hours and am had to chase waiter down to place order . Cooks taking their time. Such a disgrace . Won’t come back again. Even scared to get out sashimi rolls as they never came. Won’t come back. Would rather go to McDonald’s than here

Worst service, waited over an hour for 1st dish. After that, every 10-15 minutes another dish would come out. Restaurant was only half full, now I know why. We were a party of 8, only ordered 6 sushi rolls & 2 entrees. Waitress never apologized she just said all food would be out in another 10-15min. Don't bother eating here, waste of time & money.

I ordered food, at 820pm on the website. There was no where on the website that said it wouldn’t have been made that day.
It said will be ready the next day at 11:30am. I called for a refund. And was told the worker needed to go home and do the refund on her computer at home. And I will receive and email.
I waited till next day mid day, called the store, and was told nothing they can do till manager comes in in the evening. I filed fraud charges with my bank. And Sushi Brokers ended up refunding me, but kept the $5 tip. That’s fraud.

Service is very slow. Our server was hating life or her job who knows. Sushi took forever to come out and server used the excuse of only having two chefs and never apologized. Place wasnt even that busy but "their tickets are backed up" and sushi took an hour to come out. I've been to restaurants that only have 2 chefs and they whip out orders and not move at the pace of a snail. This place lacks sense of urgency and good management. If you're craving sushi and want to come here go to Frys grocery and get sushi there instead. Alot faster and bigger portions.

I really want to like this place. The Sushi pizza is great. The service is hit or miss. I get the impression that whomever owns this place is neglecting it. It just needs some looking after. I am about to stop coming here.

I’ve never had an issue with the food, it’s always been pretty good. The biggest complaint is the cleanliness. Tables aren’t wiped down properly, sticky crap still hanging around. The bathroom is questionable. Overall, the feeling you get is a place that was once up to date and on top of its game, but is now dingy, neglected and ignored.

I love sushi brokers and go all the time. Decided to do pick up for cinco de mayo. Worst experience ever. The sushi was terrible. Sashimi was the thinnest I have ever seen them from you guys. Rolls that were supposed to be topped with sauces didnt have anything and it didnt come on the side either.. Spent $250 for something you wouldn't serve in your restaurant.. I love the sushi here but definitely won't be picking up ever again.

Honestly this place looks great. I however was looking for more budget options and they just don't have that. Meals drinks and gratuity expect to pay upwards of $50 a person. For a nice night out I would be more than happy to do this but the day I wandered in I realized I was not their target demographic.

I remember going to this place before and enjoyed it so not sure if it was just my past experience or what, but I will not be going here again :/ I ordered the spider roll and was given this shrimp roll that I could barely chew (I hate shrimp so it was the wrong roll) and our garlic edamame had no garlic plus it was super dry and just not appetizing at all. The sashimi here was odd, I’ve never had this stuff not come with rice under the fish…

I went into this place with the wrong expectations, and that's my fault, so I'm not going to reduce points for that. Sushi Brokers is NOT a quick bite, low price place. You will end up spending roughly $30-$50 depending on how much you personally can eat. They are, however, incredibly friendly, and amazingly helpful in selecting and assisting any questions you have. They are even willing to substitute items in rolls that you personally don't like, on slow days. Beyond my mistake, it's a fantastic place to eat.

Sushi Brokers is one of my favorite restaurants of all time. Always amazing fresh quality sushi. Amazing Kitchen Menu with Option for everyone to enjoy. Looking around staff is always beautiful and attentive. Always seeming to be hard at work. They have a sushi wizard his name is Joe, ask for him at the sushi bar friday and saturday nights! Try their fried Cheesecake for dessert! One of the best restaurants in downtown gilbert, Unique menu from all the other restaurants that all have the same things.

The rolls were very small and low quality as far as the fish flavor. Way too expensive for what it is. Edamame was made soft, mushy, and otherwise difficult to eat and enjoy. (Apparently that was the intention). Las Vegas was good for the fried tempura but nothing else about it was notable. Cowboy, Sunshine, and Alaskan was also ordered, cowboy was off as far as flavor and quality but so far no ill affects. Staff checked on us appropriately but we did wait on the bill for three table touches. Plates came dirty the first round. All in all we tried a new sushi place but won’t be back.

I had better expectations from this place, having been to their Scottsdale location. The place seemed a bit dirty upon entry. It was verified when we received a dirty ramekin. We asked for it to be exchanged and were brought another dirty one. Our waitress had no etiquette and was not a good, professional server. She took a while to come to the table and when she did come we were ready to order drinks and food. I was iffy about the way she took our order down, and sure enough she came back to ask what drink I had ordered. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it was just the unprofessional manner in which she asked. The food was alright, we ordered sushi, it was good, but maybe not for that price. I think they have a cleanliness and server problem at this location. It was a Saturday night, everywhere in Gilbert was hopping and this place wasn’t even half full. That was a bad omen right off the bat.

I share my love of sushi and I had given the chance SEVERAL times to Sushi Brokers..... more like the servers are BROKEN. I understand that they can get busy but standing at the front EVERYTIME and I get more acknowledgement from the diners sitting than the servers who blantly make eye contact with you then continue to do nothing and no acknowledgement... and this wasn't just ONE occasion... EVERYTIME I've gone in.... even with a reservation. All I'm asking is for more effort and simple customer service interaction rather than being pissed that a rush is happening.... thats the service industry... coming from someone who's worked in the industry. If you don't like it, quit.

I regret to say that my experience at Sushi Brokers in Downtown Gilbert was extremely disappointing. Despite the restaurant not being packed, the sushi took an unacceptable 50 minutes to arrive. Throughout the agonizing wait, there was a notable absence of managerial presence, with the team seemingly occupied in the back kitchen. When the rolls finally arrived, they were spaced out by 15 minutes and tasted terrible. I am genuinely concerned about the potential for foodborne illness. The exorbitant prices only add insult to injury. I strongly advise against dining here, as you're likely to encounter long waits and subpar food quality.

The food was ok…the prices are ridiculous for those tiny portions , like for the French , the Alaskan roll was not what I thought it would be, the drinks were spot on. The tab was 96$ and we ordered 2 crab Rangoon , 1 coke , 1 lychee alcohol beverage, 10 pieces of the salmon sashimi, , 3 rolls of sushi and what appeared to throw it all together, they didn’t even bother to separate it out , the waitress didn’t explain anything 🤣 (poor presentation) , but hey ?! I guess it’s a great place if you just wanna grab a tiny bite to eat and a drink or more drinks 😉
But I give it a 3 ,
Just some things you gotta try once

Update as of Jan 12. I've been here multiple times, and after this last visit, we won't be back. Service was horrible. it took 2 hours to get 4 rolls. Brought the wrong order to our table, not once but twice. The bar tender even came over to our table because they had to explain what brands they had when i asked for child unfiltered sushi. They also said they didn't have tuna tetaki, yet it was on the menu. I was starving by the time we left there. Idk if it's under new management, but don't let the pics on here fool you. Our rolls consisted of 5 skinny pieces. Pathetic amounts for $15. There are too many other quality sushi bars out there to come back.

This food is not worth it. $50 for two tiny sushi rolls with barely any fillings, three small spring rolls and little portions of miso soup. The food was not worth that much and the service was terrible. The lady that served us had a big attitude with no compassion about the restaurant. I don’t recommend this place AT ALL.

The food here is excellent quality. I highly recommend the citrus yellowtail. It's my favorite.
We arrived just after 11am shortly after they opened. It was empty and we were able to seat ourselves.
The waitress was very prompt and friendly.
I ordered a pot of green tea - it was delicious. The ice water is filtered and we were offered lemon as well.
All of the rolls were fresh and delicious. Plenty of wasabi and ginger served.
It is fairly pricey here, approximately $15-$19 per roll but the quality nearly justifies that cost.
I'm a 40something year old mom that went to lunch with my 19yr old and 17yr old male children. The waitress wore black leggings and a sports bra. The bra had a front zipper that was about 25% zipped. I was extremely uncomfortable with this. It was 11am on a Wednesday in the middle of winter for lunch and I feel like that's not an appropriate dress code for the setting. No shade in this review. She was prompt and friendly and knowledgeable and I have no idea if the outfit is mandatory or her idea. Just a mismatch for me personally this time. Reflected this as a 5 star service and a 1 star atmosphere to try and be fair as this is opinion based.

I was so happy back in 2016 to 2018 when I used to order the Large Sushi Pizza, my buddy Dusty Hanshaw got me hooked on it, he would always tell me to order once I got there cause it would take a min to cook. I've gone 5 times to the Frankloyd Dr and Scottsdale Sushi Broker and I've received my pizza burnt, with nothing on it and blantenly forgot my orders, dont get me wrong the manager would cover my family's meal for the night but I wouldn't eat sushi pizza. I found the down town Gilbert Sushi Broker, and yes again, 5 times they forgot about my pizza , burnt it up and didn't add the toppings. This last time on my BDay Dec 6th 2023 I said imma give them a last chance. And again failed, got two pizzas brought to me burnt and full of some grease, even my girlfriend got upset cause she told the the waitress it was my bday and they announce my bday to another booth which they were confused. I won't go here no more, yeah it was free food, but never is it gonna taste the same. Gilbert and Scottsdale Sushi Broker.

Place looked nice but got the worst customer service from the only server on duty at the time. It happened today around 5-6 PM. He was doing nothing but looking at wine bottles and I asked him for a drink, he made eye contact and then proceeded to ignore me and go back to work. Terrible awful service can't believe that is considered acceptable at this location. If you see a tall 6' 4" man with dark hair and a goatee, avoid him, he doesn't want to serve or assist customers if he can help it.

I am usually a regular at Sushi Brokers as its my wife’s favorite sushi spot. We visited both the one in Scottsdale and Gilbert on occasion. However yesterday was probably my worst experience with them. It was my wifes bday and her request was Sushi brokers we went to the one downtown Gilbert. We ordered shrimp fried rice and literally only received 3 pieces of shrimp within the whole order(they were also over cooked). The portion of noodles were smaller than usually and the sushi was dry. This was very unusual for sushi brokers so I wont hold it against too much but this was not good especially for the money spent yesterday.

I used to love coming here!! Sushi used to be great! Lately sushi rolls are loose and fall apart. Sushi is warm and doesn’t taste fresh. Last visit it took forever to get waited in. Tonight my son and I show up to be told they have one sushi chef because nobody showed up. As I look he wipes his sweaty head with his hand then continues making sushi!!! No thanks! Lately I noticed the staff who dress like they rolled out of bed or a gym with crocks on!! They’re always on their phone. Where is the manager!!! What’s happened to this place! Used to be our #1. Not anymore. ☹️

Waited over an hour for our food. Only one sushi chef. Last time I came in to pick up a to-go order which was months ago and they had a line of people waiting at the door and not enough servers. The staffing here is not under control and that obviously falls on management. I was debating between here and Blue Wasabi. I so wish I would have gone to Blue Wasabi. Lesson learned. Won’t be back here ever again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

This place is a ticking time bomb. It gets worse every time we visit. Service has always been bad but today was just hard to watch.
We sat at the bar hoping it would give us an advantage of quicker service but we ended up leaving without finishing our sushi or drinks.
Sushi plates were crafted almost instantly with beautiful precision then would literally sit behind the bar for 15 minutes. The food takes no time to be prepared, its the wait staff that allows it to sit there until they decide to deliver it.
Once the sushi is ready to go they place a paper ticket on top....we watched a waitress chew every single fingernail and touch their computer multiple times, pick up a sushi ticket, not drliver it, and place the ticket back on the food.
We were so grossed out by everything we witnessed tonight. Just lazy staff, no coordination, and theres a hole in the cabinet at the bar that holds and chills raw fish, so warm air just seaps in.
We will not be back, and I hope others stay away before they get sick.

Only reason I would come here is for the food being decent. Sushi is great and service is awful. Walked in on a Saturday night and was greeted with the comment, “You can sit wherever I don’t know where the hostess is”. After sitting we (party of 3) asked for menus and we’re finally waited on. Ordered 4 rolls and a chicken sandwich, but as the rolls came out no sandwich was seen nor any server. We noticed multiple tables having to go up to the bar to ask for a server or to get their bill after similarly bad service. Still no chicken sandwich after 10+ minutes of receiving the rolls. I went up to the bar and requested an estimate time left on the sandwich. Back at the table our server magically appeared to tell us they were just now making it but waited because there was no lettuce and didn’t know if we still wanted it? Pathetic. More time goes by and we finally get the fast food quality chicken sandwich. 16$ for a plate of fries and chicken patty. Server Manny was apologetic and tried his best for the service it was and who sat us when no hostess could be found. Rough birthday dinner.

"Out" of half the stuff i ordered, i kind of feel like nobody wanted to work after the meltdown, so i was just told they were "out". The hot sake was cold, my first server didnt even want to deal with anybody, she was soon replaced by Hannah, who was much better to deal with. Overall, a poor dining expirience for two people that spent $140, I left hungry. Im about to stop at mcdonalds drive through, which will have twice the dining expirience.

This place is trending downhill big time. Used to be a regular but not anymore. It took forever to get our food, two items were the wrong thing and another didn't show up at all. The sushi that did show up was poorly made (giant thick cuts, overcooked mushy rice) and the fish was old and stale.
No comps were offered for the long wait or incorrect/missing food. Could overlook it as a one-off night but its been steadily getting to this point over time. For the price point (2 people, $120+) its just not worth it. Won't be coming back.

The first time, my experience was good. Good sushi and a cool environment. The last few times, however, my experiences were far from good. On a Sunday afternoon, we sat down and waited for more than fifteen minutes for a server to attend us. We moved up to the bar area in hopes of being attended quicker. It was just as slow. In the end, our server got our drink orders wrong and we only ordered one roll in hopes of getting out of there as soon as possible. We waited another thirty minutes for our food. The service is slow, inexperienced and non-attentive. There were only two servers on the floor with more tables filling up quickly. This business should definitely have fast-paced workers, and more than two serving tables, as they cater to a very popular area being in downtown Gilbert. Will not be returning.

Really good but the salmon was really small

"Ok" sushi, the menu could certainly offer more fresh/raw fish items with a bit more creativity.

The fish is consistently fresh, love coming here when I'm ready to splurge a bit.

Sometimes the music is too loud
And the front door needs a new bottom metal panel to make it look more in good shape or cared for

Best sushi/sashimi we've had in Phoenix!

Food was good! Service was a little lacking in that it took 20 min to get drinks and 40 min to get food. People that came in after got there food and drinks before us! I believe that it was a overwhelmed waitress.

Yummy sushi at the bar with a nice draft beer.

Not impressed, there's way better sushi spots within a mile of downtown Gilbert no need to spend big bucks on imitation crab and bland flavors.

Came in today 11/29 BOYOND HORRIBLE service at the Gilbert location .
Order pot stickers DEEP FRIED (come out pan seared ).
Friend ordered two sets of rolls and ask for extra ginger. The server still never brought out the extra ginger.
Order Terakyi chicken double white rice - server brings out volcano chicken out with a side of rice.I repeat my order and once again volcano chicken is brought again.
Asked to take my order off the bill & the server still leave the side of rice on the bill.
This would have been solved if EITHER the server repeated the order or listened the 2nd time around . NOT to mention they have manager/supervisor on duty. VERY dissatisfied with the lack of competence of our server (baylee) and the another server (korine) that came out to handle the inconvenience of this visit. this was NOT handled in the way I expected and NO offer of compensation for INCONVENIENCE of messing this order up 4 times. Will be taking my business else where.
Came in 9/22 - server charged us for the wrong bill $80 all they could do is apologixze, not comp the bill in any way & charge is AGAIN for our bill .
Least to say I will NOT be doing business here AGAIN.
Thanks

I have eaten here multiple times and always treated with great service and even better food. The drinks are awesome and the sushi is in my opinion, the best in the valley. The surf and turf roll is my personal favorite!

The food is average here but they're typically not very busy so it's easier to get into this restaurant than a lot of other places in Gilbert

The service was amazing! We had the best. She was the assistant manager and such a positive spirit. We will continue going to Siushi Brokers. The rolls were all very delicious as well.

Great atmosphere and helpful staff! My husband and I came in this evening on a whim. Our bartender/server, Angelina was super sweet and upbeat. We ordered “surf and turf” and “damn good”…. Definitely recommend!

This is the WORST restaurant in Downtown Gilbert. Avoid at all costs, especially bar as they have a serious fruit fly problem and horrible staff.

I had the absolute best experience here. We were out & hungry in downtown Gilbert when my boyfriend wanted to go here to get the volcano chicken. What is volcano chicken, you may ask? The absolute best chicken I’ve ever had. I was blown away. I got the mixed. So sweet, so spicy. I’m in love. Also plus to the reverse happy hour. I’ll be back, Sushi Brokers!

Awesome place from start to finish. The hosts were very friendly and did a great job of getting everyone seated quickly on a busy Friday night. Our service was very speedy, and our server gave great recommendations. The sakitini is very strong, and delicious! Well worth the price. And the food…SO GOOD! We are generally light eaters but we finished every plate clean. An awesome spot for a date night, and even better that they have reverse happy hour all week. We will most definitely be back, and will recommend this place highly!

The two stars is because the food was decent. Everything else was a disaster! Disclaimer: I am in the industry and am fully aware of the staffing challenges that plague restaurants.
With the being said, there seemed to be no management available or leading. We arrived and were told a table would be ready in 15 minutes. The hostess took our name and we told her we would be at the bar.
We waited at a sticky bar and had to flag the bartender for cocktail menus. She brought back a sticky cocktail menu with a kids menu stuck to it. We made a quick decision then waited 5 minutes for her to return. We ordered a Hendricks Martini up with a twist and a Hendricks and tonic.it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks. The tonic was flat! When we asked her to replace it, she said it was a new bottle of tonic and wouldn't redo the drink. My wife said she would drink it. My martini was barely chilled.
This is the point at which we should have left! But, we agreed they were busy and we would share with the server what had happened.
At 35 minutes and tables available, I finally went to the host stand and she said "oh, I thought you were eating at the bar". We we sat with put menus and once again had to ask for them AGAIN. When the server center we told her we would like two more drinks. We explained the last problem with the last round, and she assured us she would resolve the issue.
We ordered immediately. While the server was kind, she was not trained well, she simply typed in the order with her head down the whole time and barely made eye contact.
So, the new drinks arrived exactly as the first ones did. We refused the Gin and tonic and ordered a glass of wine and I added ice to my martini.
We asked that the edamame be brought first and everything together. We got the two sushi rolls first, then the tempura, then the potsticker and then, finally the edamame!
The food was ok: the tempura well done, and tasty; the potstickers were tiny but tasted ok, the rolls did not taste especially fresh, although they were well constructed and the garlic edamame was good although it was slathered in disced garlic (the bottled kind). Still they were edible.
There are so many personnel issues and so many places where there were fails it will be hard to return.
I hope this review falls on concerned ears!

I came into this establishment on Sunday 8/21 with my husband. I am deciding to leave a review based off the service and experience that I had.
First to start, the food is always amazing here. The Surfer roll, Las Vegas roll and Sanchez roll are my favorite. Can never go wrong.
Second, the service was OUTSTANDING!! Nia was my server and she was so informative and even offered new menu items that we decided to try. She made this experience so amazing that I will be asking for her every time we come in. She told us to try the Mahi tacos....AMAZING. The way she described the tacos is exactly how they tasted. I will be getting them as an appetizer every time I come in. She never let us go without water and she is such a jokester.
Last but not least, the cleanliness of the place is great. There is a lot of reviews that say this place could be better but they must be blind to every other restaurant.
Sushi Brokers, you are awesome!!! A customer to stay.

We had a wonderful waitress Kenize who went out of her way to give our family great service and was extremely understanding of our situation. Her manager Lukas was beyond pleased and relieved to hear about what a great job she did. While we visiting for two weeks due to a family member being very sick, we had the pleasure to go back time and time again. Not only was the food delicious and outstanding, but we looked forward to seeing our favorite waitress again. The atmosphere was a little loud for my elderly mother-in law, but most definitely recommend this little oasis to anyone who is looking for tasty and absolutely scrumptious sushi!!!

Terrible take out experience. The nearly $20 Diamondback roll was only six pieces. The thing was tiny. I showed up 15 minutes after my order was to be ready and I had to wait another 15 minutes, because it wasn't all in one location. Not impressed!!!

The atmosphere was warm for a sushi restaurant, my sushi were not cold and had a funny taste like it was bad. I come here alot, this is the second time I've noticed it. Glad I wasn't the only one that said the same, my family also said the same thing.
