This place a treat for sure. Fresh fish that tastes fresh is hard to find in the desert - look no more.

Unfortunatly they were drastically low on Tuna tonight (like enough for 3 more rolls) and it was a bummer as someone who only eats Tuna Sushi.. But my waiter, Samuel, delivered the news with sincerity - apologetic and empathetic to my sadness. We both knew it was just a matter of time before someone put in a tuna order, so I made my choice quick and he quite literally ran over to the sushi chefs to get my order in- and he made it! The Tuna was Delish and the reason I came to this place. Thoroughly impressed with Samuel and the atmosphere of this place, very clean, modern, and felt like a treat. 10/10.

Great all you can eat sushi restaurant. I had the all you can eat sashimi. The sushi was delicious. The service was so so. The server did bring out the sushi fast but three times they brought the wrong sushi plate to our table. My boyfriend order a regular Kirin beer but they brought him a light beer. I told the waitress politely that he wanted a regular beer and instead of apologizing she gave us an attitude. Later during the dinner, services did get better but with different servers. Overall I still enjoyed going to this restaurant because of the delicious food.

This place has been my go too AYCE SUSHI in Town ! I've been to other places around town but Crazy Tuna is my Favorite. I've told all my friends and family and they all agree. Service has always been great. Sushi has always tasted Great.

All-You-Can-Eat sushi?! Let me pull on my stretchy pants. I'll take an order of Nemo, a side of Dory, and all the Marlin I can eat, please.

I've been here twice now: Once for their roll lover tier and recently for the sashimi lover tier. At $44.95, I think the sashimi tier is the route to go as you can order anything off the menu. Who needs rice anyways? It's just a filler. Pay an extra $2 and get some fresh wasabi. You won't be disappointed. Grab a chunk of fresh wasabi, slap it on top of your fish, and chomp away.

The one thing I do not like here is that they limit you to three rounds. I think this is there way of making sure you don't sit around too long but that also means you're probably going to end up over-ordering right off the bat and you'll be full.

All in all, it's not a bad AYCE sushi spot. As someone with a smaller appetitite though, AYCEs just don't appeal to me. Go here if you're a big eater though.

Took a while to get a seat and when we did it took forever to order. They were obviously under staffed for the night. The servers were nice enough though. The food is this all you can eat concept where you pay more if you don't finish everything. I would have been happy to pay more for good food. The fried food was ok but the fish was old and smelly. This is not a top tier sushi place by any far stretch of the imagination. But, I don't think it is meant to be. It is more of a hang with friends, eat Japanese / Chinese / Korean food, drink, and pay $50-100 place. I won't be back but you should try it if that is what you are into.

This is an AYCE only restaurant! So no personal selections of the menu, it is all you can eat and you can go sashimi AYCE or sushi AYCE, some differences in lunch and dinner AYCE options. Also, everyone in your party at the same table, must all select the same all you can eat order. Now this menu selection is at LARGE and you have many items to choose from. Some of the tuna quality was a bit average however other items are very much worth the price for AYCE. You can also only order a max of each item when ordering each round. There is a percentage fee for an uneaten food so be mindful of ordering and preventions of food waste.

AYCE sushi. I suggest the Sushi Lover tier. That doesn’t allow for sashimi which isn’t an issue for me, I just get the nigiri (HIGHLY recommend the seared options). Good miso, gyoza, spicy edamame. Recommend rolls: Garlic Cajun, Beyond Philly, El Diablito Roll, Shrimp Killer Roll, Baked Crawfish Roll. Don’t forget to get your punch cards either 😉

This is my fav sushi place by far. Nothing comes close. I DREAM about the Cajun seared salmon nigiri. Everything is always so fresh and consistent. I’ve never had a bad experience here. The servers are also always super attentive and nice so that’s a win too. Definitely don’t hesitate to try this place.

Hands down worst service and sushi my wife and I have ever had. We came in very hungry and craving sushi. We decided to try the AYCE option. We ordered three rolls, miso, and the stuffed mushroom appetizer. The miso was good but that was it. The rolls were absolutely horrible. The fish tasted awful. Not fresh by any means.the rolls completely fell apart, as you picked them up. All in. All just horrible. My wife about 15 minutes after trying her first bite ended up sick in the truck.

In regards to the service, we never got refills on our waters, the waitress never checked in with us too see how the food was, and we had to go up to the one of the gentleman working by the sushi bar to get our waitresses attention when we wanted to get the check. There was maybe 4 tables in the entire place and they were not busy at all.

Keep in mind most all you can eat sushi places charge a 20% fee if there’s leftover food to make sure people don’t order and waste food which is understandable. When the waitress brought the check she said “since it’s your first time here we won’t charge you the 20%”. I couldn’t help but laugh because what we ordered was not even close to the AYCE price and we couldn’t even take more than a bite of each roll. it was so bad that I mentioned there wouldn’t be any leftover food to charge the fee for if it was any good. I expressed that no one came and asked how the food was, nor did they offer to remake the roll or try and make the situation right.

I can eat about 5-6 rolls by myself and I could barely finish one bite of the three rolls we ordered.

Save yourself your time and hard earned money and go somewhere else. They clearly don’t care about service or food quality here.

Started out as a father/son sushi experience. We tried 5 AYCE sushi places. Crazy Tuba is by far our favorite. We've been back here 4 times. Great food and the service is very good. Looking forward to our next sushi night.

Sushi was mid. They didn’t put any soi sauce and ginger in the bag even after asking they give me just 1 . The ramen broth has no flavor very watery. 80$ for 6 rolls and a ramen. Money would’ve been spent better elsewhere.

Nah! This is some of the very middle range Shushi. Traditional and fusion stuff which seems a bit odd. Getting overly priced for basically nothing special.

Restaurant feels dirty all around and the bathrooms are just as bad as Chinese ran restaurants. Blacked dirt grounded in floors and stains all over the facilities.

Ok…. I really don’t see how anyone could rate this place anything less than 5 stars. ALL of the staff were extremely friendly, expedient, and seem like they actually ENJOY being at work! So refreshing in this day and age where people seem to not want to work.

The food…. wow, such high quality, especially for AYCE! The rolls do NOT all taste the same if you order ones that aren’t similar, and there is definitely variety to choose from. My fiancé was also highly impressed.

Keep up the great work, we will keep driving all the way out to Chandler to get our sushi from now on!

PS…. sushi fish comes frozen for anyone that doesn’t know.

Disappointing Experience at Crazy Tuna Sushi - Consistency Matters

I’ve been a regular at Crazy Tuna Sushi in Chandler, Arizona, and I’ve never had a problem with taking home leftovers or with my children during past visits. That’s why my most recent experience was so disappointing.

On my last visit, a few minutes before I received the bill, the restaurant manager approached me and told me that my children were making too much noise. This comment was surprising and made me feel uncomfortable, as we’ve never had any issues in the past. It felt like we were being pushed to leave, which really put a damper on our meal, not giving me time to finish.

To make matters worse, I was charged a premium for a couple of leftover pieces of sushi. I paid the premium, but when I asked if I could take the leftovers home, I was told no. This was especially frustrating because I’ve taken leftovers home from here before without any issue, and there’s no clear policy against it on their manu or the website.

The sign on the door in very large letters says, “Come Hungry, Leave Happy.” Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case this time. The combination of the unexpected charge, unclear policies, and the unwelcoming atmosphere made this experience quite negative. I’ve enjoyed this restaurant in the past, but after this experience, I’m now reconsidering my options.

We did highest priced all you can eat. The food was okay but a bit expensive for what it was. We tried one of everything. My daughter liked the orange chicken, edamame, and coconut shrimp. The onion roll was good it has tempura fried onions which we could have ate a bowl of on their own. The air conditioner didn’t seem to be working well and it was a hot day which also likely detracted from the overall experience. It wasn’t a bad place and worth trying once, but likely wouldn’t go back based on cost and what’s available. Apologies for not getting any photos this trip.

Being a sushi lover, I cannot believe I just found out this Crazy Tuna Sushi AYCE just now! Love it already by the first bite! It’s definitely a hidden gem! The nigiri is surprisingly good being an AYCE! Have I mentioned the yellowtail nigiri is beyond the world. And the escolar and salmon are also pleasant surprise!!! The selection is also pretty good with varieties of appetizers and other different dishes other than sushi. Will definitely try the Sashimi lover option next time!

Service was a little slow to start as no one came over for a bit to get us started, but once she did, she was fantastic. Food was amazing and came out pretty quick. We did the sashimi lover option so we could try a variety. The yellow tail sashimi was our favorite! We will definitely be back.

The rules are very complicated. If you never been there before and don’t know the rules, you’ll basically have to sit through a 30 min lecture about the rules and limits on the, “all you can eat sushi”. But the place was cool though, service was good and food was not bad.

First time there, real good experience. Got the middle tier, sushi lover, they go over the rules, not real complicated. The reviews that say don't load up on rolls because they're big size, that's true. But they are good. Some rice was a little mushy, some of the unagi sauce was a little much, but overall really good. And don't forget about the appetizers, those are really good too, and not big so you can try lots of them. The tuna nigiri sushi and the philly roll were our favorites. Service pretty quick for the most part. All in all, definitely glad we tried it out, probably will go back again, when I'm not still full.

The servers there were attentive, helpful, and accommodating. The sushi itself was definitely well-made. You will not be disappointed like you would be in the sushi at a Chinese buffet. The variety and sushi options also kept the menu fun and interesting, although there are some fish options that are hit-or-miss as far as taste goes.

This is not a review of food or service, rather a warning for people on what to expect. I showed up here with my family for a nice dinner, I was getting the all-you-can-eat and my wife and 2 minor children wanted separate menu items. Unfortunately our dinner ended before it started because, “if one gets AYCE, EVERYBODY has too.” It’s a sad state that things have come to this, just beware that everybody in your party must get AYCE if one person wants it. I hope they reconsider this policy, I would really like to enjoy a family meal here.

The restaurant is at the end if a strip mall and I read previous reviews so I was game to try it. I went on 12/15/23 during lunch. It wasn't too busy but it took a while to be seated. The waiter was kind and explained everything to me. I ordered a salmon sushi in a sauce, tuna sashimi, and a caterpillar (dragon roll/eel). The salmon I ordered was delicious. It was refreshing and delicious. I then ate a piece of the tuna sashimi. I do not recommend this at all! It was fishy and the worse part was the silver skin in the middle of the piece of fish. When I ate it I gagged and used water to swallow it. I moved to try the dragon roll. During the first bite it seemed really beautiful and balanced. I ate another piece and the eel was like fat gelatin. I went through the entire roll and pulled all of the eel out and it looked like fat pieces not the actual meat of the eel. Later in the day I was burping up nasty fish and my stomach was hurting. I would not recommend this place. Im sad because the salmon was really good, but you guys need to step it up. I paid over 40$ for poor quality fish and a stomach ache.

Introduced by a friend, it is delicious, but the service is very general, and the food is still amazing; We had the most expensive option you can eat, about $45 per person, about $60 per person plus tax and gratuity. I understand that sea urchins and soft-shell crabs are restricted, but I didn't realize that sashimi and charcoal-grilled raw fish are also restricted in a way that is slightly at odds with All You Can Eat.

Sushi, buffet, two things I love, so it's going to get some points for that. 2 things, it's going to take you going twice to understand how the whole ordering system works (cause it's very odd and different, I get what they are doing to save waste, but it's a learning curve), the other issue, I was very honestly disgusted by their cooked sushi and seared sushi. Don't know if they themselves have ever tried it, because it tastes like pure chemicals from however they cook it.. don't recommend getting more than a single piece at a time to learn for yourself, cause you feel like you have to eat it no matter how bad anything is, because you are told you get fined if you don't. Again, I get the whole idea of the ordering system, but there should be a better way because it puts weird pressure on customers, unless you know how it works AND you know what you are getting.

We have come here many times for the past two years and it has gone down hill in the past six months. Today was the breaking point. I took my husband here for dinner and we both had all you can eat sushi. I ordered one roll during the first round and waited. I asked 3 different staff members were my roll is. I never got it. I paid for all you can eat sushi and I never got my sushi roll lol. I only ate appetizers. Each staff member said they will check on it and then they would say, " it's coming". Legends say, it's still coming. After the second round, I just asked for the bill. Appetizers were good lol. The last two times we were here, we had this same issue were we waited forever for something or we never got something. For example, last time, our friends almost walked out in anger because they waited 40 minutes for their son's food to come out. Also, their all you can eat sushi is really misleading. I really hope this place gets better.

We go here a lot. Always great service and delicious sides and sushi rolls! We love their seaweed salad and stuffed mushrooms especially. The coconut shrimp and calamari are really good too.

There are so many super good rolls. We've tried many over the many times we have been there... but the 2 that we ALWAYS get are the Cajun one and the Mango Tango one... with various others that we want to try that time.

I have a friend that came to town to visit and we ate here... she has told me several times since then that the Crazy Tuna has spoiled her from any other sushi near where she lives. It was so good she is thinking of coming to visit again, just so I will take her to the Crazy Tuna!!

If a girl named ANGEL/ASHLEY is your server make sure you take pictures of your receipt. She has taken our receipts and changed the amount of the tip. Not once but TWICE! How this girl is still employed here is beyond me. We spoke to David (the manager) he was nice and refunded our charges. So we felt ok coming back for another go. On our 3rd visit back we got ANGEL/ASHLEY (name on the receipt). Left her a $10 tip on card. Checked our bank account and sure enough the B*** changed the tip amount to $20! We couldn’t believe it. Spoke to David again. He apologized and gave us a discount. This is terrible. The food is good but it’s not worth getting robbed. BUYER BEWARE. I want Blake the owner to respond that Angel has been fired! WE WONT BE BACK.

Food was Great. Great selection as well. Everything was fresh and you could taste the difference from other sushi establishments. As a bonus everyone was attentive and provided outstanding customer service!

I've always liked this place until tonight. The avocados were brown, the sushi rice had quinoa in it, and not as a special order item, it just came that way. The paper menus are out of date. They have the option for a QR code menu but I don't like to have phones out at dinner, paper really should be an option. Our server was great. An overall disappointment today. Probably won't go back, which is unfortunate because it was our every other week go to date night choice.

I don't like sushi. There, I said it. However, the group I was with absolutely loves it and this all you can eat place is THE go to place for amazing sushi. How could I give five stars to a place where I don't like what they sell? Well, they don't just do sushi!! They have lots and lots of appetizers and other options as well. Their edamame was great and their coconut shrimp was on point! I also had the sweet and sour chicken which was really good and the portions were spot on. We will be going back for sure!

Sushi is premium. Some buffet spots give you mid sushi, this is premium.

Signature rolls are incredible.

They do take the extra food fee very seriously so make sure you eat up, but if you have to pay for the extra food you get to take it.

Do not come here if you have young children, it is not family friendly at all. I called prior to my visit to make sure I could order individual rolls for my kids who barely finish one each, but when I arrived I was told that my 9 and 10 yr olds would have to all pay $30 as well..per Francis ... absolutely ridiculous!!! Go to Orient sushi and grill instead as they're actually a great family friendly sushi spot unlike crazy tuna.

The service was really good, but they should be honest about how their "all you can eat" works. They give you three rounds of ordering, the first round they told us we get a total of 8 rolls (we had four people). They charge 20% additional on your bill if you don't eat what you order. At any other sushi restaurant, 2 rolls each would not be an issue. We barely finished half due to their rolls being twice the size of any normal roll with so much rice on them you are bound to get full immediately. We did not even see round 2. We received about $90 worth of sushi, and our bill came out to $197 before the tip. We had three beers and two glasses of water. The food was decent, but we are never going back.

They usually have really great service but last few times, it jas not been good. It seens they have all new servers. Our server said it was his first day. We waited for ever for food and they were not that busy. Really disappointed, this usually is our go to spot. We will try again just to give them one last chance. The sushi is always great and they have a good menu to choose from. We get the sushi lover, (we don't do sashimi) but there is one for those who also like to get sashimi.

Waited awhile before being served. But they acknowledged it at least.

Main complaint for the review was due to how tipping was auto calculated. We came with 4 people and 1 toddler, and they automatically included gratuity onto our bill, at 18%. We didn't think it would apply to toddlers unfortunately. They also chose to calculate tip with sales tax, which is sneaky. The customer should choose this amount because if the service was mediocre, then we tip medicore. It's not a matter of being cheap, but changing the standard 15% to 18% is annoying. Maybe it is just me and my disdain for the tipping culture in the U.S, but if your service was excellent, then I am more than happy to tip 18% or more. Especially if I planned to tip in cash as well.

I've been on here before with more than 4 people, and we weren't they never automatically charged gratuity. I also had no complaints during those other visits.

This visit will likely be my last time.

This place is a little more expensive than some other ayce sushi around but it’s worth it.
The servers were so nice and quick to pick up orders, refill waters, check in.
The rolls were giant. They have a max of 2 rolls/person on the first round and it’s for good reason.
There were so many unique rolls and they were so delicious.
Absolutely loved the Cajun nigiri and the salmon delight, 911, and jalapeño bomb bomb.

I stopped here on a whim after some shopping in Chandler. It was delicious! We did the all you can eat sushi and everything was very good. We will definitely be back to try more rolls. The service was very good and the restaurant was fun laid back atmosphere.

This place has fallen FAR since they went and remodeled...The service has gone down hill the food quality has taken a hit as well. The prices have also gone up (albeit kind of expected with the renovation).

Guys, if you are a sushi lover...THIS place is for you. NO JOKE!
I was in town for Business and wanted something "fresh" for dinner. These SUPER HOT Arizona summers tend to curb your appetite, so I figured sushi was the perfect choice.

I was NOT disappointed. Came in on a Tues evening, and Jacob the host greeted me promptly and was super friendly. Informed me of how the All You can Eat operates and made me feel super welcome. Then enter Shawn and David. These guys were SO attentive...The chef's behind bar made my orders quick and to perfection. WOW!!! My fav's: the Ex-Girlfriend and the Poke Nachos. Everything else was super tasty....I "tore it up!".
WARNING: I did not order any "rolls" (as I prefer Hand Rolls) but I saw the regular rolls come out and boy are they HEARTY....(they looked Huge)! You will DEF get your moneys worth here....

One criticism regarding AYCE options is everyone having to pick the same option. I dined with someone who wanted the Sushi Lover in order to have nigiri options. I'm partial to rolls only and would have preferred having the lower cost option but we both had to pay the max. Regardless, the AYCE options were still less expensive than if we had ordered off the menu.

Great all you can eat sushi restaurant. I had the all you can eat sashimi. The sushi was delicious. The service was so so. The server did bring out the sushi fast but three times they brought the wrong sushi plate to our table. My boyfriend order a regular Kirin beer but they brought him a light beer. I told the waitress politely that he wanted a regular beer and instead of apologizing she gave us an attitude. Later during the dinner, services did get better but with different servers. Overall I still enjoyed going to this restaurant because of the delicious food.

The service and timeliness are unacceptable. The food itself is amazing. The servers themselves are not rude. The service as I received it was garbage at best. The food does not come out in a timely manner and the orders are picked up even slower. Expect to wait 45 minutes for as simple an order as fried rice. If you expect to come here and eat in a timely manner expect to be disappointed.

Food was ok. Service was ok. There were 6 of us and my final bill included 18% tip. I asked about that and I was told that the restaurant has a rule where party of 5 or larger will automatically have to pay 18% or more tip. Nice to know in advance. Probably will go elsewhere next time.

It is definitely over rated. They charge 45 dollars a person if you pick the decent sushi option but when you order if you leave more than 4 rolls on the table , they add another 20 percent to the bill .. which is stupid . We paid 180 dollars plus tip , ( total 200 dollars) for a couple of rolls and and same sashimi..and the quality is not the highest .. i don’t recommend it at this prices ..

Placed an order for $38.94 and was waiting for delivery through doordash. However they cancelled the order. I'm very confident they cancelled because there was 15 minutes left before the store closes even though I placed my order 40 minutes prior. Really bummed out because I was looking forward to trying this place out for the first time.

Update: Upon further investigation it turns out the store cancelled my order due to high demand. I placed my order an hour ago before it was cancelled. I believe they could have made the order still but ultimately decided to cancel because of high demand. This is a bad first time experience for me considering I heard so many good things about this restaurant. I suppose I can give this place a try another day. For now I will give it a 2 star review. Communication is key and they could have communicated to me what was going instead of me having to go out of my way to figure out why it was cancelled when I initially got no reason as to why it was cancelled.

Good sushi place. All you can eat! Yes please. The thing is most ayce sushi place give you the tiniest rolls. But this place offers full size rolls! That plus the staff was super friendly and helpful. The rolls were fine quickly and tasted good. We had some sashimi and Nigri too. All of it was great. Just fill out the paper on your table and hand it over and a few minutes later you get food! Awesome

it's great for your first ayce experience, but they pack the sushi with rice, so the meal becomes less appetizing, lol. they do have a great variety of appetizers, and the waiters and waitress are always kind. the ambiance is chill for a night out with friends, for sure. however, they did sell me on their penny sake deal, and that was the worst experience there. i did not get a buzz from it, AND had the worst stomach pain afterwards.
