Went around 4pm. Don't ever make that mistake. If you want fresh food from here, go when they open. Caught employees dumping water in sauces on the line to expand life of the dish. Disgusting and illegal. Said something to the owner, but wasn't taken seriously. $51.02 down the drain. Never going back again.

Ok so I was out of town for a year and sadly no sushi where I stayed, this was a WELCOME BACK HOME surprise! I loved the sushi 🍣 it's so good, and the variety, the price is great 👍 and for a few bucks more you can upgrade to dinner and have so the fancy ie cream legs or boil out yummy food, I will definitely come back PLUS the team here works diligently cleaning and quickly providing refills, yum!

Food was okay. Not as big a variety as other buffets in the Phoenix area but there was enough to choose from (Monday 1:30pm). Nigiri was not that tasty and rice was hard and dry. Roll sushi was ok. Lunch was $14 for 1 adult and 10% off 1 senior (60yr and older). We were hungry and figured we'd try somewhere new for us. We could easily spend the same amount picking up a burger, fries and drink so we felt it was worth it. Probably won't be going back there though. There's more than enough seafood/Asian buffets to choose from that have more variety and better quality. Server was very prompt in refilling drinks and clearing plates, although there were only 3 tables occupied in our seating area. Overall, can't complain since the price was good.

Look at the fish tank no water in it. Today date is 11/25/24 I had eat there last night whatever I eat last night I been in and out of the restroom all morning and it's 08:12 and I am still in the restroom they will never see me again

I am updating my review and I had went from a 5 star to 4 star due to environment. Everytime I come,food in regards to flavor is always consistent and never messy (per my perspective as I’m not too hard to please for food.) I mean, I do have to admit that the shrimp sometimes does get pretty mushy due to overcooking and sitting too long but I kind of expect that with a buffet. I still will devour their Cajun and S&P shrimp! Their sushi side is always clean however I never got the chance to try because each time I go, I am always pregnant!

In regards to the atmosphere, it has been VERY hot. The only cool area is when you’re by the sushi station. PLEASE fix this because it legit feels so humid and it makes the experience uncomfortable to eat in.

I went for the crab legs they were good for the price you pay and the other food selection was better than alot of other buffets it definitely would have been a 5 star review but they are so stingy with the crab!! If they notice someone is eating it. They just stop filling it until you ask then they bring out enough for one person. It was very annoying. They Definitely don't make you feel comfortable. I've been here a few times. I have to say overall, this is my favorite buffet to go to. The customer service is outstanding. The food choices are amazing. I got there at 6 pm, but no more steam crabs, only the salted small crabs. They supposedly have a new serve or batch because the dinner time just started. I end up eating salted shrimp and small salted crabs. If you have a visitor, I don't think they will like it there. Hopefully, lunch is different or at the weekend dinner?

So there was customer complaining about his check as we were eating and the waitress was talking about him to other customers. The price is deceiving . My son was charged as an adult price( even though his 10) and would recommend you get the PRICE BEFORE SITTING DOWN!!!! Edit - "Fresh and on demand" is not true, and you shouldn't indirectly call customers liars when old cold food is a frequent complaint. This is the only restaurant I have ever filed a formal complaint to the health department on.

I was really looking forward to having a chinese buffet. The most recent reviews aren't glowing, but I thought it would be worth a try as Oasis Bay is near my home. In hindsight, i wish I had never eaten there.

I stopped by Wednesday afternoon around 12pm and was seated immediately. The inside is a little run-down; booths and tables look a little dated, the walls are dirty from old decor, and the fish tanks? are almost dry and in need of repair.

This should have been a sign to leave, but i REALLY wanted some cheap chinese food.

The hostess led me to my booth and I left to peruse the buffet. The selection is a standard fare of budget chinese/american + some sushi/poke options.

The sushi / poke
Each of the 4 pieces of sushi I tried were leather tough and VERY briney. I don't understand what they did to make a piece of salmon? have the texture of a shoe and taste of rotten Uni, but it was almost the worst thing I have ever eaten.

Vegetable Chow Mein
One of my favorite dishes at chinese buffets and Oasis Bay's looked passable. These noodles had to have been from the day before or were made with rotten ingredients. I could not finish more than one bite. I've eaten bad food before. I've been stuck on a Navy ship at sea for over 100 days without resupply and this was singlehandedly the most rotten thing I've ever seen served as food. I asked the woman bussing tables to take my plate of noodles (yes, i grabbed an entire plate before the smell hit me) and, besides gagging, even she was at a loss for words.

Steamed Buns
Another victim of horribly rotten food. Opening the pork buns up and I was immediately hit with the smell of rotten meat. I attempted to take a bite, and the bun was as fermented and bad as the filling inside of it.

Fried Shrimp
4/5 That i grabbed for my plate were so old and mushy I could gently squeeze the shrimp out of its fried shell like toothpaste.

The only edible things were these chicken skewers near the american/fried food section and the banana pudding (strangely enough)

I have never been so disappointed eating out somewhere and am BEYOND surprised this place has not been shut down by the health department. I've never filed a complaint with them before, but then again I've never experienced undeniably rotten food being served in a restaurant. Oasis Bay's owner and management need to be held responsible, this was inexcusible, disgusting and the owners/managment should be publicly shamed.

It's very deceiving to have such a stunning restaurant inside and out and have the worst food I've ever eaten. We tried a little bit of everything to be fair, and not one thing was warm, good, or even edible. The "hot foods" were cold, and the sushi was warm.Not to be dramatic, but this was the worst buffet we've ever been to. We were never checked on after we were seated and our drinks we set down. Never got refills or plates removed. The counters were dirty as were the plates and silverware. We love a good buffet and my husband was so excited to eat here. The man can eat anything and he didn't find a single thing he would eat again. He spit food out several times and I've never seen him do that before. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. Plus $50 for two people and not being able to eat anything feels like an atrocity in this economy.

Update: I got pretty sick after eating here.

We wanted to love this place but unfortunately the experience was quite poor. We went in about 7pm on a Saturday, excited by the poke station. When we got closer it looked like someone had picked 99% of the fish out of the mixes and it was not replenished. Many of the hot foods turned out to be room temp or slightly above which is a huge concern, and the sashimi salmon was surprisingly tough. Everything wanted for seasoning. The two standouts were the pickled daikon carrot mix which was delightful, and the crab puffs, but I can't say we enjoyed anything else. Our server was nice and attentive, clearing plates right away which was nice. One section of seating had fish tanks next to it that were half full of dirty water with no fish. Overall it seemed the restaurant lacks care, although the servers are great.

Went with my family on Saturday and had some of the worst food ever! My pizza was cold, tasted like some tostino frozen pizza from a microwave, my chicken wings were undercooked, roast beef was from the day before, tried the banana pudding it was rancid with the fake cream brule they serve, I spent my entire Sunday from 2am till 9am vomiting and diarrhea, this place used to be decent know its disgusting!!! Lots of dishes missing salt, MSG, or some level of flavor. Fried chicken was decent. Bell peppers in the sweet and sour fish were crunchy so I could tell they were freshly prepared. Cut short ribs were too dry like jerky. Clean restaurant, service was nice. Everything was just...okay.

They claim it is all you can eat but the man serving yelled and pointed his finger screaming no more crab legs for you! Asked for the manager and told her the sign outside the restaurant says all you can eat and this is what they advertise also on line as well… she threw her hands up and said NO!!! And walked away. The service is terrible and they treat their regular customers in an unacceptable way. I have never been screamed at in a restaurant? Wt? We will NEVER return and give them another dime. I suggest the same for you if you are looking for an EXTREMELY sub par quality buffet. There is a reason this location/ Asian Buffet/ restaurant has turned over numerous owners in the last decade. We have seen it as MANY different restaurants… maybe they are the same owners and keep changing the name because of their business failures?? One could speculate. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future.

UPDATE: Their management team or owner response is pathetic. Yes, I ABSOLUTELY understand the all you can eat concept… and for them to insinuate that we ONLY ate crab legs is ridiculous? We had many other variations of items… soup, shrimp, crab angels, chow mein, etc. so you are deciphering what your customers can or CAN NOT eat? This is not a sincere response as a member of our a small business community as to my concerns as to how we were treated and what you are representing as a business. You should apologize for our experience and move forward without dictatorship as to what we can and can not eat in your establishment. If you are serving it …and then , if you claim “all you can eat”. … allow your patrons to enjoy the dishes they desire.

Projecting the blame onto me/us.. your customers.. because YOUR horrific standards of service that are lacking is validating why I wrote the poor review in the first place. Shame on you, shame on you .

I stand by my original review and experience with service in your establishment. Terrible, terrible and unacceptable. Change your signage if you do not wish to have your customers have an “ All you can eat buffet”. Because it does NOT represent what you are advertising to the public. You are wrong.

They deleted my original review I have left twice..and the reviews above 2 stars are paid for. The service is TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, the food cold and they yelled at us LITERALLY FOR EATING too many crab legs… if it says all you can eat??? I had two small plates of crab legs and they denied my husband and wouldn’t let him get any more food. It was horrific. I have never been treated so poorly. The owner came out and yelled pointing his fingers!!! “ NO MORE CRAB LEGS”. WOW! This establishment is a disgrace. I have lived in the area and this community for 20 yrs. Plus, there is a reason that it has changed ownership SEVERAL times! I honestly think they just keep changing names and it is the same owner.

It is clean! The dishes are clean! So much more vegan options than other places! So many authentic Korean options, not found elsewhere! Various seaweed options and it's clean (doesn't taste fishy). I took a star away because my daughter said some of the meat tasted old. I personally don't eat meat but the fried shrimp had looked like a few days old sitting after fried. It looked like the kind from a bag of frozen food dumped into a fryer and sat in a pan of cold grease for a few days. She grabbed what looked like a meaty rib. She gagged and went to the restroom and threw up. She informed me that another dish was labeled "pig feet". She said it had such a nasty piercing bitter taste. There are reasons I won't eat meat. I loved my experience though! All the veggies and fruit tasted amazing!
It was a bit pricey though. $21 per person is more than others. This place offered more of a variety than others.

Oh the egg drop soup too! Amazing! Fresh chopped green onions and chili oil added🤤

The women were so friendly and polite. That was a breath of fresh air compared to the rest of customer non service I receive anymore in the rest of this state. Even though it was 10, they still waited until we were leaving to remove the food. The woman even politely asked if there was any other food we would like before they removed the trays. Other places would have started removing the trays at 9:30 and been pushy to get us out. (We had that experience before at another place telling us they were closing and they wanted us to leave). These people were all so friendly and welcoming.

My daughter said some of the meat didn't taste fresh. I loved this place as a gluten free vegan though! Oh my! So many options! Glass noodles and rice noodles! So many seaweed dishes! So many veggie options! It is expensive though. $21 per person! 😳
The service was beyond better than any other buffet or public facility I've been to lately! We stayed until 10 and unlike others telling us to leave and taking trays away at 9:40, they kept all food out till 10pm and politely checked in with us, asking us if we would like anything else before they take the food away. I wish all people still had customer value like I felt here!

Finally found great Chinese in the valley after 8 yrs of trying places. Bonus they have seafood! Tons of choices. Prices are amazing especially in this economy. They kept the tables clean of our dirty dishes. Drinks constantly refilled & they checked on us frequently. The place was very clean. Food was hot & stocked even when we came in during the last hour. Im going to give this place a 3 star. The food is good, a lot of food. Very nice, Attentive waitress. Thin snow crabs. Restroom could use a face lift. My son, his wife, and I were there for 3 hours, doing a lot of talking and getting our money's worth since dinner is $19.99, not including a drink, which We all had tea. The place was pretty much empty the whole time, with a couple of guests every once in a while. The problem is that the employees stood there the whole time watching us! We weren't wasting food. We made sure to get our money's worth and still gave a decent tip. Quit watching your guest enjoy their meals!!

I came looking for a more seafood specific experience and forgot to expect a buffet that happens to have more seafood items in it. Sushi choices are lackluster and it’s specially bothersome to me as I don’t eat spicy food and most of their sushi variety is spicy-blended fish rolls of some kind. They did have salmon, tuna, white fish nigiri and sashimi and a poke station that barely had fish in it. But it’s not a bad assortment of other items. Place was clean and service was attentive and they have buns as well! So overall it’s not bad. If I want inexpensive sushi I’ll go to the rotating carousel sushi bars in chandler instead.

I came here for my husbands birthday dinner and didn’t have a single bite of seafood, just stuck to the basic noodles and orange chicken. That night I was violently throwing up all the food I ate in 5-6 trips to the toilet throughout the night. The people we were nice. Wasn’t very busy which we didn’t expect it to be since it was a Tuesday Evening. Everything was just ok….I wouldn’t say bad nor great. Temp of the food was more lukewarm and my friend chicken was just barely undercooked when I bit into it. I think 3 stars is accurate for our experience

Rude wait staff. We spilled a soda on the table and the servers refused to help. I had to search the restaurant for napkins to clean it up. I asked twice for a wet rag to wipe the stickiness away. Finally after raising my voice I got a rag. When asked for something to clean up the stickiness under I seat the server pushed all the wet sticky paper towels under seat and said they’d clean it up later so we had to sit and step in sticky soda. I asked for a refill on the spilt soda three times before getting one despite other tables near us being refilled. When we finally got the soda my aunt got sick after drinking it like they put laxatives in the drink. Our table and the surrounding tables had no room on there tables for new plates because nobody was clearing tables so we had to get our own bin to clear our table and the tables around us. When I told the server the sprite did not have syrup I was told it was too busy for her to change it. I said ok. Can we get a water instead she told me “no. I already wrote down 4 sodas. You pick another another soda.” I said my mom can’t drink caffeine if there isn’t sprite she wants water. She argued again, “I already wrote down 4 sodas” so I said just cross it off and please give us a water. Aside from the HORRIBLE service and them putting stuff in my aunts drink. The food was awful. It’s a shame we use to go there all the time. Never again. They deserve to be shut down by the health inspectors

Food tastes bland and a majority of the food is very chewy, which is expected coming from a buffet. They at least have unique foods, but if you want quality food that's cheap then go to Osaka steakhouse. It's not a buffet but you do get high quality food for low prices and every worker there is very nice, unlike here where they won't even smile and leave without even saying how things work. The only good thing is that the place looked decent, but Osaka Steakhouse is so much better in every way

The place itself looks very nice. From the looks of the place I expected above par food.
But the food was definitely below par. Some of the foods were actually cold, and others tasted reheated over and over like the hard pieces of chicken. The steak roast which was at a self carving station was so tough it took me 5 minutes to carve a slice and it tasted like shoe leather. Pig's feet? I respect other cultures and what they may eat but it grossed out my family and others that were commenting around me. Maybe put it in a separate section somewhere as to not gross out most of the American population. A huge selection but the quality is just not there. Also, very expensive. If you are going to charge expensive prices, you better have the quality food to back it up.

he skipped the pain.

This four star rating absolutely is inaccurate and misleading.
After tax and tips, about $25 per person,

You don't need to be as stupid as I was to choose this place.

They have a lot of different options. I liked how they made sushi on the spot, and they also have alcohol options. I wouldn't say the food quality is excellent, but it's good for the price. It was pretty quiet during lunch and the place is spacious. It's kept clean and I liked their clam chowder. If you're looking for a high quality sushi, look somewhere else. If you're craving for sushi in general and don't care too much about the quality, this is a good place.

If you are looking to eat here I say look elsewhere. You would think they would have better food handling practices because they are in Gilbert. I get it’s all you can eat but if you are going to be serving raw fish have it chilled or on a cooled surface to keep the fish cooled a fresh. Instead they have it sitting together with other fish (salmon, tuna, and other white fish) on a white plate under a light with the pieces of fish soaking with each other juices. The crab legs were dirty like they had algae and just put in boiling water to cook. when we brought it up to the manger she said that was the color of the Crabs…really! It was a mistake that me and my family will learn from. I’m glad we didn’t go for 2nds plates I feel like we could have been very sick. I will be reporting them to the Health inspector to investigate their practices. IF YOU EAT HERE BEWARE.

This place isn't good at all. The food is always cold, even after stirring it yourself for the food on the bottom as the staff asks you to do if you complain it's cold. The bread was hard and not fresh at all. There's also little nat bugs all over the place in the bathrooms, and especially the food. The waitress did her best to accommodate which was really sweet. However, my kids and I were very disappointed. They did give us a slight discount due to everything, but we barley ate a bite! I would definitely not recommend it here. Not worth the money. Doesnt this place realize that cold food sitting out causes bacteria growth which can cause people to get sick? Gross place to eat. Yuck!

Place is super clean, and staff is very attentive. Limited choices in Chinese food. We were there around 1pm. on a weekday. Eggrolls are bad, but the salt and pepper shrimps are excellent. The flan tasted like it had Wasabi in it. But the most disappointing thing is the poke options. The vinaigrette is extremely sour, and there are minuscule tuna flakes in the salad. The food is not refilled either. There is one slice of pizza looking extremely dry, and it was never refilled the entire time we were there. We love buffets, but this one is not for us.

The warm food was well below 98° as when I put it in my mouth, it felt pretty damn cold. The sushi ginger felt rancid the salmon, tuna and tilapia sashimi tasted funny that’s the best way I can describe it and my stomach is feeling it an hour after as I got food poisoning with my two girls. The owner is terrible and did not do anything about comping our bill, despite the obvious information about the food. I think the worst part of it is how arrogant the owner was in response to this. This restaurant could be a great concept as a lot of these reviews say, but the quality is absolute garbage. I also reported them to the health department and made police report thanks to the owners incompetence. It’s hard to knowledge when you’re wrong doubling down on your mistake is not the way to go.

We tried this place for dinner one night, were greeted when we entered the restaurant. We were quickly seated and they got our drink order. They have a very large selection of food ranging from Poke bowls, sushi, crabs, teriyaki chicken, fried rice, noodles, salad bar and dessert bar. We samples quite a selection of food. The food was hot and fresh and the employees were very helpful. We needed a cracker for the crabs and they immediately brought one out. The seafood was overcook by sitting in the heated pan for awhile but other than that everything else was very delicious. The service was fantastic. Very conscientious and kept our drinks full and the plates cleared. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms. They have a full bar so if you want a drink they can make it. They also have mimosas buy one get one free. We enjoyed ourselves and will be back soon.

This was our first time here, the dude and I woke up starving after a night of partying. We just wanted to stuff our faces and this was the right choice. I believe it was $13 each for lunch, total with lunch, a soda with a few refills, and a mimosa plus tip was about $45. Lots of seafood and Chinese options which I loved. The dumplings, steam buns, sushi, and chicken options were great. The staff is very friendly. We went in on a Thursday afternoon and there was no wait. Will definitely return.

"Whatever two steps down from mediocre is." "Yeah, it was calories, but not good ones." Said by our group as we were leaving. We stopped here because it was near another event we went to and thought we'd try a new place, but that was a mistake.

Two of us wound up getting food poisoning. The reviews about some of the food being not temperature controlled are accurate.

IMO: This place has potential. We were told it recently came under new management. Other than the very dubious fish tanks, it seems to be in pretty good repair. I don't know why some of the food serving areas weren't warming the food. Not sure which food it was that made people sick, because cold food all tastes weird, and the sushi wasn't kept very cold, so there was definitely food care concerns.

We won't be coming back to find out if things ever improve. Two stars because in spite of the food problems, the variety of options looked good, the interior was nicely decorated and in decent shape, and the staff really did deserve 5 stars. They were very nice and attentive in serving. Hopefully new management (if that's accurate) does better with this place. Good luck if you go here!
